| 1 | Structural and thermal sensitivity of Cu-Zr-Ti amorphous alloys to tension显示文摘Structural and thermal sensitivity of Cu(60-x)Zr(30+x) Ti 10 (x=0,5,and 10 at%) amorphous alloys to the application of tension was investigated. The structural sensitivity to tension decreases with increasing Cu content. The crystallization enthalpy increases with increasing excess free volume. The characteristic temperatures of the tensile samples can surpass those of the as-cast ones under a critical heating rate which differs in the Cu content. | 2 | Comprehe nsive an alysis of SSRs and database construction using all complete gene-cod ing sequences in major horticultural and represe ntative plants显示文摘Simple sequence repeats(SSRs)are one of the most important genetic markers and widely exist in most species.Here,we identified 249,822 SSRs from 3,951,919 genes in 112 plants.Then,we conducted a comprehensive analysis of these SSRs and constructed a plant SSR database(PSSRD).Interestingly,more SSRs were found in lower plants than in higher plants,showing that lower plants needed to adapt to early extreme environments.Four specific enriched functional terms in the lower plant Chlam^tdomonas reinhardtii were detected when it was compared with seven other higher plants.In addition,Guanylate_cyc existed in more genes of lower plants than of higher plants.In our PSSRD,we constructed an interactive plotting function in the chart interface,and users can easily view the detailed information of SSRs.All SSR information,including sequences,primers,and annotations,can be downloaded from our database.Moreover,we developed Web SSR Finder and Batch SSR Finder tools,which can be easily used for identifying SSRs.Our database was developed using PHP,HTML,J avaScript,and MySQL,which are freely available at http://gffzz2f37412cb23c469dhuqupqkko0vbp60uo.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/.We conducted an analysis of the Myb gene families and flowering genes as two applications of the PSSRD.Further analysis indicated that whole-genome duplication and whole-genome triplication played a major role in the expansion of the Myb gene families.These SSR markers in our database will greatly facilitate comparative genomics and functional genomics studies in the future. | Xiaoming Song Qihang Yang Yun Bai Ke Gong Tong Wu Tong Yu Qiaoying Pei Weike Duan Zhinan Huang Zhiyuan Wang Zhuo Liu Xi Kang Wei Zhao Xiao Ma | 2021 | Horticulture Research2021,8,1: | 2 |

| 18 | Subsurface banding of blended controlled-release urea can optimize rice yields while minimizing yield-scaled greenhouse gas emissions显示文摘Controlled-release urea(CRU)is widely reported to supply crop nitrogen(N)demand with one basal application,thus effectively replacing split applications of urea without diminishing grain yield and N use efficiency(NUE).However,its use for replacement for high-yield split applications of urea(CK)for rice is untested.In addition,the degree to which greenhouse gas(GHG)emissions in rice systems are affected when CRU is substituted for CK remains unclear.During 2017 and 2018,we sampled plant growth and gas emissions in a rice paddy field treated with three CRU types(sulfur-coated urea[SCU],polymer-coated urea[PCU],and bulk blended CRU[BBU])applied via two methods(surface broadcasting on the soil and subsurface banding at 5 cm depth),with CK as a control.The three CRUs led to different soil NH_(4)^(+)-N dynamics,and the N supply pattern under BBU was more beneficial for rice seedling establishment than under SCU and PCU,resulting in grain yield and NUE comparable to those under CK.CRU type showed no significant effect on either CH_(4) emissions or N_(2)O emissions,and broadcast CRUs exhibited significantly higher total GHG emissions than CK.However,banded CRUs significantly reduced the total GHG emissions in comparison with broadcast CRUs,by 9.2%averaged across the two years.Reduced CH_(4) emissions,particularly during the period prior to the middle drainage,contributed largely to the GHG difference.With comparably high grain yield and low total GHG emissions,banded BBU showed a low yield-scaled GHG(GHG emissions divided by grain yield)comparable to that under CK in both years.Overall,our study suggested that N management synchronized with rice demand and contributing to a high NUE tended to minimize yield-scaled GHG.Broadcast CRU can hardly substitute for CK in terms of either grain yield or GHG emissions,but banded BBU is a promising N management strategy for sustaining rice production while minimizing environmental impacts. | Weiwei Li Sajjad Ahmad Dun Liu Shen Gao Yuhui Wang Weike Tao Lin Chen Zhenghui Liu Yu Jiang Ganghua Li Yanfeng Ding | 2023 | The Crop Journal2023,11,3: | 0 |

| 20 | Expression Profiles and Response to Exogenous Hormones of β-Fructofuranosidase Gene BmSuc1 in Silkworms(Bombyx mori)显示文摘[Objectives]In order to clarify the regulatory effects of insect hormones on the expression of BmSuc1 and provide a reference for further analysis of the function and expression regulation mechanism of BmSuc1,this study explored the expression profiles of BmSuc1 in different tissues and periods of silkworm larvae and the expression changes of BmSuc1 after treatment with exogenous hormones.[Methods]By using the real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR technique,the expression characteristics of BmSuc1 were detected in different periods,different tissues and after treatment with exogenous hormones during the development of silkworm larvae.The expression of BmSuc1 and 20E receptor gene USP was detected after RNA interference with double-stranded RNA(dsRNA)of USP.[Results]The relative expression of BmSuc1 gene in the midgut was the highest,followed by the silk glands,epidermis and hemolymph.However,there was much lower or almost no expression in other tissues.In addition,the BmSuc1 expression profile exhibited a pulse-like pattern in silkworm larvae.The expression level of BmSuc1 was higher at each instar stage before molting,late fifth instar before cocooning and prepupal stage.Silkworm larvae at day 2 of the fifth instar were treated with 20-hydroxyecdysone(20E)and juvenile hormone(JH).It was found that the expression of BmSuc1 was extremely significantly higher at 12 and 18 h after 20E treatment than the control group injected with 0.1%dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO)(P<0.01,the same below).But there were no significant difference in BmSuc1 expression between the JH treatment and the control group during the measurement time range(P>0.05).The dsRNA of USP was synthesized in vitro and injected into silkworm larvae at day 3 of the fifth instar.It was showed that the USP relative expression was extremely significantly down-regulated at 24 and 36 h after injection,which indicated that dsRNA interference was successful.RNAi of USP would block 20E signal transduction,and the expression of BmSuc1 was inhibited and significantly down-regulated at 24 and 36 h after injection of dsRNA of USP(P<0.05).[Conclusions]The BmSuc1 expression peaks appeared in the molting of silkworm larvae and the metamorphosis of larvae to pupae,which suggests that BmSuc1 may be involved in the metamorphic development process of silkworms.Treatment with exogenous ecdysone 20E can activate the expression of BmSuc1,but blocking the 20E signal transduction pathway may suppress expression of BmSuc1.It indicates that BmSuc1 as a downstream target gene in the 20E signal transduction pathway is directly or indirectly regulated by 20E signals. | Weike YANG Fenfen TANG Zenghu LIU Changxiong HU Zhanpeng DONG | 2023 | Agricultural Biotechnology2023,12,6: | 0 |
