7Effects of Airflow Field on Droplets Diameter inside the Corrugated Packing of a Rotating Packed Bed显示文摘Rotating packing bed(RPB) has a better mixing performance than traditional mixers and shows potential application in the petroleum industry. However, acquisition of information about the mixing process directly through experiments is difficult because of the compact structure and complex multiphase flow pattern in RPB. To study the mixing characteristic, Fluent, the computational fluid dynamics(CFD) software, was used to explore the effect of airflow field on droplet diameter. For conducting calculations, the gas-liquid two-phase flow inside the packing was simulated with the RNG k-ε turbulence model and the Lagrange Discrete Phase Model(DPM), respectively. 9Sm-Nd isotopic compositions of Cambrian-Ordovician strata at the Jinggangshan area in Jiangxi Province: Tectonic implications显示文摘Whole-rock Sm-Nd isotopes were investigated for Cambrian-Ordovician strata from the Jinggangshan area between the Yangtze Block and Cathysia Block in South China. These strata were deposited as a greatly thick unit of muddy-sandy laminas with intercalated carbonate and organic carbon-bearing layers. They have low εNd(t) values of –13.9 to –7.9 and old Nd model ages of 1842 to 2375 Ma. In tDM-tStr diagram, they are far away from the concordant line but fall within the evolution zone of the Proterozoic crust of South China. This indicates that the Cambrian-Ordovician strata are mainly composed of mat- ters eroded from ancient Paleoproterozoic crust that may mainly consist of continental-derived detrital sediments with high maturity in the Cathysia Block. However, the Ordovician Jueshangou Formation and Dui’ershi Formation have εNd(t) values of –10.5 and –7.9 at the higher end of the above range and Nd model ages of 1842 to 2059 Ma at the lower end of the above range. This suggests involvement of more detritus that were eroded from the relatively juvenile crust from Late Paleoproterozoic to the Early Neoproterozoic. All the Nd model ages for the Cambrian-Ordovician sedimentary rocks in the Cathysia Block and the southeastern margin of the Yangtze Block are older than 1800 Ma, suggesting that no material from the Early Paleozoic depleted mantle-derived magmas was involved in these regions.SHEN WeiZhou LING HongFei SHU LiangShu ZHANG FangRong XIANG Lei 2009Chinese Science Bulletin2009,54,10:4
10Efficacy and safety of drug-eluting stent implantation for the treatment of in-stent restenosis occurring within bare-metal stent and drug-eluting stent显示文摘Objective:Although drug-eluting stent(DES) implantation is the primary treatment modality for bare-metal stent(BMS) in-stent restenosis(ISR),little is known about the efficacy and safety profile of DES in the treatment of DES-ISR.The goal of this study was to compare the clinical outcomes following DES treatment for BMS-ISR and DES-ISR.Methods:Rates of major adverse cardiac events(MACE) were compared in 97 consecutive patients who underwent DES implantation for the treatment of ISR(56 BMS-ISR and 41 DES-ISR) from January 2004 to December 2008.Results:Baseline clinical and procedural characteristics were comparable,except that the DES used in the BMS-ISR group was longer and had a larger diameter.The length of follow-up was(28.60±1.96) and(20.34±1.54) months for the BMS-ISR and DES-ISR groups,respectively.One patient(1.8%) experienced non-cardiac mortality and one(1.8%) had target-vessel revascularization(TVR) in the BMS-ISR group.In the DES-ISR group,three patients(7.3%) died of sudden death with a documented acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction,and three suffered TVR(7.3%).Kaplan-Meier analysis indicated that cumulative survival probability and MACE-free probability were both significantly lower for the DES-ISR group(log rank test P=0.047 and P=0.005,respectively).In Cox regression analysis,DES-ISR remained an independent predictor for future MACE occurrence after adjustment for other factors(compared with BMS-ISR,risk ratio(RR)=8.743,95% confidence interval(CI) 1.54-49.54,P=0.014).Switching to a different type of DES to treat DES-ISR did not improve the prognosis.Conclusion:DES-ISR patients had a poorer prognosis than BMS-ISR patients after DES therapy.Heng GE Qing ZHANG WeiZHOU Qing HE Zhi-hua HAN Ben HE 2010Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2010,11,8:3
11Dispersion Performance of Methanol-Diesel Emulsified Fuel Prepared by High Gravity Technology显示文摘A new continuous process for preparing methanol-diesel emulsified fuel with an Impinging Stream-Rotating Packed Bed is proposed. The droplet size of dispersed phase(methanol) of the emulsified fuel has a significant effect on the combustion of methanol-diesel emulsified fuel. In this paper, the methanol-diesel emulsified fuel uses diesel as the continuous phase and methanol as the dispersed phase. The Sauter mean diameter of the dispersed phase of methanol-diesel emulsified fuel was characterized with microphotography and arithmetic method. The experimental result showed that the Sauter mean diameter of the dispersed phase, which was decreased with the augmentation of the high gravity factor, liquid flow rate and emulsifier dosage, was inversely proportional to the methanol content. The Sauter mean diameter of the dispersed phase can be controlled and adjusted in the range of 12—40 μm through the change of operating conditions. 12Effect of phosphate-based sealing treatment on the corrosion performance of a PEO coated AZ91D mg alloy显示文摘This study investigated the effect of sealing treatment on the corrosion performance of plasma electrolytic oxidation(PEO)coated AZ91D Mg alloy with and without addition of corrosion inhibitor.The microstructure,phase composition and corrosion property of the sealed and unsealed coatings were evaluated by using scanning electron microscopy(SEM),energy dispersion spectroscopy(EDS),x-ray diffraction(XRD),x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),polarization,and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)tests.Electrochemical experiments and salt spray tests showed that,after sealing in phosphate solution containing corrosion inhibitor,the corrosion current density of PEO-coated AZ91D decreased more than 10-fold and the anti-corrosion time in a salt spray environment increased more than three-fold.The corrosion rate of the PEO coating slowed down due to the releasing and adsorbing of the corrosion inhibitors in the pores and cracks of the coating during the corrosion process.Kun Qian Weizhou Li Xiaopeng Lu Xinxin Han Yong Jin Tao Zhang Fuhui Wang 2020Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2020,8,4:2

14Multi-scale finite element simulation on large deformation behavior of wood under axial and transverse compression conditions显示文摘Multi-scale finite element method is adopted to simulate wood compression behavior under axial and transverse loading. Representative volume elements (RVE) of wood microfibril and cell are proposed to analyze orthotropic mechanical behavior. Lignin, hemicellulose and crystalline-amorphous cellulose core of spruce are concerned in spruce nanoscale model. The equivalent elastic modulus and yield strength of the microfibril are gained by the RVE simulation. The anisotropism of the crystalline-amorphous cellulose core brings the microfibril buckling deformation during compression loading. The failure mechanism of the cell-wall under axial compression is related to the distribution of amorphous cellulose and crystalline cellulose. According to the spruce cell observation by scanning electron microscope, numerical model of spruce cell is established using simplified circular hole and regular hexagon arrangement respectively. Axial and transverse compression loadings are taken into account in the numerical simulations. It indicates that the compression stress-strain curves of the numerical simulation are consistent with the experimental results. The wood microstructure arrangement has an important effect on the stress plateau during compression process. Cell-wall buckling in axial compression induces the stress value drops rapidly. The wide stress plateau duration means wood is with large energy dissipation under a low stress level. The numerical results show that loading velocity affects greatly wood microstructure failure modes in axial loading. For low velocity axial compression, shear sliding is the main failure mode. For high velocity axial compression, wood occur fold and collapse.
