| 4 | The occurrence of gold in hydrothermal sulfide at Southwest Indian Ridge 49.6°E显示文摘Massive sulfide precipitates found in the Southwest Indian Ridge(SWIR) 49.6°E hydrothermal field are enriched in gold.Here,the mineralogy and mineral chemistry of these massive sulfides to constrain the process of gold precipitation were studied.Sulfide samples in this field include lowertemperature Zn-rich sulfides and relative higher-temperature Fe-rich sulfides.Zn-rich sulfides are dominated by sphalerite-pyrite-chalcopyrite assemblages,with concentrations of gold ranging from 9.08 to 17.0 μg/g.Fe-rich sulfides consist mainly of pyrite-marcasite-isocubanite assemblages,with gold concentrations from 2.17 to 3.79 μg/g.The significant enrichment in gold within the lowertemperature Zn-rich sulfides and the effective separation of Zn and Fe in hydrothermal precipitates at the surface of this field are here interpreted to reflect the strong temperature dependence of gold transportation and deposition within the sulfides.In Zn-rich samples,large amounts of isolated native gold grains were identified.They were found mainly as inclusions up to 8 μm in diameter,occupying porous cavities in sphalerite or in the elevated iron content rim of sphalerite.The fineness of the gold ranged from 810 to 830.Unlike previously published results on other hydrothermal fields,these data show a low gold fineness values in SWIR 49.6°E.The FeS content of sphalerite associated with gold grains ranged from 3.2 mole % to 18.9 mole %.This was higher than in other fields,indicating that the sulfur activity is relatively low during the gold precipitation process and that sulfur activity may be one of the main factors affecting gold fineness in the SWIR 49.6°E hydrothermal field.Evidence regarding gold fineness and sulfur activity suggests that gold was quite likely transported as AuHS0 rather than as a Au(HS)-2 complex. | YE Jun SHI Xuefa YANG Yaomin LI Naisheng LIU Jihua SU Wenchao | 2012 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2012,31,6: | 7 |
| 5 | The occurrence of diffuse axonal injury in the brain:associated with the accumulation and clearance of myelin debris显示文摘The accumulation of myelin debris may be a major contributor to the inflammatory response after diffuse axonal injury. In this study, we examined the accumulation and clearance of myelin debris in a rat model of diffuse axonal injury. Oil Red O staining was performed on sections from the cerebral cortex, hippocampus and brain stem to identify the myelin debris. Seven days after diffuse axonal injury, many Oil Red O-stained particles were observed in the cerebral cortex, hippocampus and brain stem. In the cerebral cortex and hippocampus, the amount of myelin debris peaked at 14 days after injury, and decreased significantly at 28 days. In the brain stem, the amount of myelin debris peaked at 7 days after injury, and decreased significantly at 14 and 28 days. In the cortex and hippocampus, some myelin debris could still be observed at 28 days after diffuse axonal injury. | 7 | 1 T moderate intensity static magnetic field affects Akt/mTOR pathway and increases the antitumor efficacy of m TOR inhibitors in CNE-2Z cells显示文摘Static magnetic field(SMF) has been known to affect cell proliferation in a cell-type-dependent manner,while the mechanism still remains unclear. We found that 1T moderate intensity SMF inhibits cell proliferation of nasopharyngeal carcinoma CNE-2Z cells and the Akt/m TOR signaling pathway, which is upregulated in many cancers. m TOR inhibitors are potential chemodrugs, but their clinical effects are limited by the feedback reactivation of other signaling components such as EGFR and Akt.We showed that 1 T SMF increases the antitumor efficacy of m TOR inhibitor Torin 2. In addition, 1 T SMF increases the inhibition efficiency on m TOR substrates phosphorylation and represses the m TOR inhibitor-induced feedback reactivation of EGFR and Akt. | 9 | Geochemistry of the Late Paleozoic cherts in the Youjiang Basin:Implications for the basin evolution显示文摘We analyzed the major and rare earth element compositions of siliceous deposits from the Upper Devonian Liujiang Formation,Lower Carboniferous Luzhai Formation,Lower-Middle Permian Sidazhai Formation and Tapi Formation,which are widely distributed as bedded cherts in the interplatform basinal successions of the Youjiang Basin.The Liujiang Formation and Luzhai Formation cherts generally have high Al/(Al+Fe+Mn) values(0.38-0.94) and are non-hydrothermal cherts.These cherts are generally characterized by moderately negative Ce anomalies and high Y/Ho values relatived to PAAS,indicating that the Youjiang Basin might have evolved into an open rift basin during the Late Devonian-Early Carboniferous.The Sidazhai Formation cherts from Ziyun generally have high Al/(Al+Fe+Mn) values(0.60-0.78),suggesting negligible contribution from a hydrothermal component.The Sidazhai Formation cherts from Hechi and the Tapi Formation cherts from Malipo generally have low Al/(Al+Fe+Mn) values(0.09-0.41),indicating an intense hydrothermal input.Relatived to the Sidazhai Formation cherts,the Tapi Formation cherts have higher Ce/Ce*values(0.68±0.19) and lower Y/Ho values(41.83±13.27),which may be affected by the terrigenous input from the Vietnam Block.The Sidazhai Formation cherts from Ziyun and Hechi exhibit negative Ce anomalies(0.43±0.12,0.33±0.17,respectively) with high Y/Ho values(57.44±16.20,46.02±4.27,respectively),resembling the geochemical characteristics of open-ocean basin cherts.These cherts were deposited on a passive continental margin adjacent to the Babu branch ocean,which may have contributed to upwelling.Detailed spatial studies on geochemical characteristics of the Late Paleozoic cherts can unravel the evolution of the Youjiang Basin. | Huang Hu Du Yuansheng Yang Jianghai Huang Hongwei Tao Ping Huang Zhiqiang Yu Wenchao Guo Hua | 2013 | Journal of Palaeogeography2013,2,4: | 4 |
| 10 | Effect of different twirling and rotating acupuncture manipulation techniques on the blood flow perfusion at acupoints显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To analyze the effect of different twirling and rotating acupuncture manipulation techniques on the blood flow perfusion at acupoints to provide a reference for the study of acupoint specificity and the quantification and effectiveness of acupuncture methods. METHODS: Twenty healthy male or female college students each received four different acupuncture manipulation techniques, including simple acupuncture, uniform reinforcing-reducing needling, twirling reinforcing needling, and twisting reducing needling. The self-control method was applied. Acupuncture was performed by an acupuncture manipulation simulator at Neiguan (PC 6) and Zusanli (ST 36). The process of twirling and rotating was divided into seven timepoints. The PeriCam Perfusion Speckle Imager (PSI) System was used to collect the blood flow perfusion data at each acupoint. The specificity of twirling and rotating acupuncture manipulation was analyzed based on changes in the curve, video, and numerical blood flow perfusion data at each timepoint. RESULTS: There were two peaks in the blood flow perfusion curve of twirling and rotating acupuncture manipulation;one appeared after 3 min of needle retention, and the other appeared 3 min after needle removal. The blood flow perfusion parameters showed that the greatest differences between the four manipulation techniques occurred after 5 and 10 min of needle retention. The specificity of various manipulation techniques was most obvious at these two timepoints. There were significant differences between the four manipulation groups in the blood flow perfusion and the relative change rates of blood flow perfusion at each timepoint. CONCLUSION: Laser speckle imaging enables the real-time, non-invasive, rapid, and accurate collection of blood flow perfusion data during acupuncture. This imaging technique enables the easy attainment of various parameters such as visual images, two-dimensional curves, and data tables. At various timepoints, the four groups significantly differed regarding changes in blood flow perfusion and relative change rates of blood flow perfusion, which facilitated the differentiation of the four acupuncture manipulation methods. Based on this, further analysis could be conducted to study spatial distribution characteristics such as the influence area and flare area. | 13 | Stress dependence of the creep behaviors and mechanisms of a third-generation Ni-based single crystal superalloy显示文摘Elevated temperature creep behaviors at 1100℃ over a wide stress regime of 120-174 MPa of a thirdgeneration Ni-based single crystal superalloy were studied. With a reduced stress from 174 to 120 MPa, the creep life increased by a factor of 10.5, from 87 h to 907 h, presenting a strong stress dependence. A splitting phenomenon of the close-(about 100 nm) and sparse-(above 120 nm) spaced dislocation networks became more obvious with increasing stress. Simultaneously, ao<010> superdislocations with low mobil让ies were frequently observed under a lower stress to pass through γ precipitates by a combined slip and climb of two ao<110> superpartials or pure climb. However, ao<110> superdislocations with higher mobility were widely found under a higher stress, which directly sheared into y precipitates. Based on the calculated critical resolved shear stresses for various creep mechanisms, the favorable creep mechanism was systematically analyzed. | 18 | Effects of SNPs and alternative splicing within HGF gene on its expression patterns in Qinchuan cattle显示文摘Background: Identification of genetic variants, including SNPs(Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms), CNVs(Copy Number Variations) and alternative splicing, within functional genes has received increasing attention in animal science research. HGF(Hepatocyte Growth Factor) is a very important growth factor that works as a mitogen or a morphogen during tissue growth, development and regeneration. However, to date, the functions of genetic variants within the bovine HGF gene, particularly their effects on m RNA expression, have not been determined well.Results: The present study aimed to perform association analysis between genetic variants and m RNA expression for the bovine HGF gene in Qinchuan cattle using various strategies, including PCR-RFLP(Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism), q PCR(Quantitative Real-time quantitative PCR), TA cloning, DNA sequencing and bioinformatics analysis. A total of five SNPs were identified and only SV1 locus significantly affected HGF m RNA expression in fetal skeletal muscle(P < 0.05). Heterozygous genotype individuals showed significantly higher HGF expression(P < 0.05), which was significantly greater in the 'CTCCAGGGTT' combined genotype than that in the'CCCCGGGGTT' combined genotype(P < 0.05). In addition, two alternative splicing variations, HGF-W and HGF-M,were identified, which resulted from alternative 3′ splice sites of exon 5, and HGF-W showed higher m RNA levels than HGF-M in all tissues.Conclusion: In summary, genetic variations within the HGF gene affected m RNA expression.
