| 1 | Elucidating Variations in Nitrogen Requirement According to Yield, Variety and Cropping System for Chinese Rice Production显示文摘Better understanding of the factors that influence crop nitrogen(N) requirement plays an important role in improving regional N recommendations for rice(Oryza sativa L.) production. We collected data from 1 280 plot-level measurements in different reaches of the Yangtze River, China to determine which factors contributed to variability in N requirement in rice. Yield, variety, and cropping system were significantly related to N requirement. The N requirement remained consistent at about 18.6 kg N Mg^(-1)grain as grain yield increased from 7 to 9 Mg ha^(-1), then decreased to 18.1, 16.9, and 15.9 kg N Mg^(-1)grain as yield increased to 9–10, 10–11, and > 11 Mg ha^(-1), respectively. The decreased requirement for N with increasing yield was attributable to declining N concentrations in grain and straw and increased harvest index. Super rice variety had lower N requirement(17.7 kg N Mg^(-1)grain) than ordinary inbred and hybrid varieties(18.5 and 18.3 kg N Mg^(-1)grain, respectively), which was a result of lower grain and straw N concentrations of super rice. The N requirements were 19.2, 17.8, and 17.5 kg N Mg^(-1)grain for early, middle, and late rice cropping systems, respectively. | 2 | SARS-CoV-2 ORF10 suppresses the antiviral innate immune response by degrading MAVS through mitophagy显示文摘The global coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)has caused severe morbidity and mortality in humans.It is urgent to understand the function of viral genes.However,the function of open reading frame 10(ORF10),which is uniquely expressed by SARS-CoV-2,remains unclear.In this study,we showed that overexpression of ORF10 markedly suppressed the expression of type I interferon(IFN-I)genes and IFN-stimulated genes.Then,mitochondrial antiviral signaling protein(MAVS)was identified as the target via which ORF10 suppresses the IFN-I signaling pathway,and MAVS was found to be degraded through the ORF10-induced autophagy pathway.Furthermore,overexpression of ORF10 promoted the accumulation of LC3 in mitochondria and induced mitophagy.Mechanistically,ORF10 was translocated to mitochondria by interacting with the mitophagy receptor Nip3-like protein X(NIX)and induced mitophagy through its interaction with both NIX and LC3B.Moreover,knockdown of NIX expression blocked mitophagy activation,MAVS degradation,and IFN-I signaling pathway inhibition by ORF10.Consistent with our observations,in the context of SARS-CoV-2 infection,ORF10 inhibited MAVS expression and facilitated viral replication.In brief,our results reveal a novel mechanism by which SARS-CoV-2 inhibits the innate immune response;that is,ORF10 induces mitophagy-mediated MAVS degradation by binding to NIX. | Xingyu Li Peili Hou Wenqing Ma Xuefeng Wang Hongmei Wang Zhangping Yu Huasong Chang Tiecheng Wang Song Jin Xue Wang Wenqi Wang Yudong Zhao Yong Zhao Chunqing Xu Xiaomei Ma Yuwei Gao Hongbin He | 2022 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2022,19,1: | 4 |

| 18 | Electrophysiologic Mechanism and Radiofrequency Catheter Ablation of Incessent Atrioventricular Reentrant Tachycardi显示文摘Objective\ To study electrophysiologic mechanism and radiofrequency catheter ablation of incessent atrioventricular reentrant tachycardia. Methods\ In this report, 17 cases of incessant atrioventricular reentrant tachycardia (IAVRT) were presented. There were twelve men and five women. The average age was (46±17) years. Mean duration of persistent tachycardia was (36±76) days. Mean ventricular rate was (180±17) min\+\{-1\} during tachycardia. Five patients had cardiac dysfunction and four had tachycardia induced dilated cardiomyopathy. Results\ All the 17 patients underwent successful radiofrequency catheter ablation. There were eleven accessory pathways(APs) in the left side posteroseptal position, three in the left free wall, two in the right free wall and one in the right side posteroseptal position. Two Aps had decremental conduction characteristics. Four patients had longer than normal atrioventricular conduction time, mean AH interval being (161±6) ms. Six patients had posteroseptal AP with RP≥PR during tachycardia on the surface ECG. All patients were free of symptomatic tachycardia during follow up period of 1 38 months. Five patients with heart dysfunction ameliorated one week after tachycardia ablated. Four tachycardia induced dilated cardiomyopathies were followed for mean of 12 months, the size and function of the heart returned normal in three patients, and the heart size became smaller in one. Conclusion\ It was concluded that electrophysiologic mechanism of IAVRT could be related to the following factors: ①Position of the AP, posteroseptal AP had the highest incidence of IAVRT; ②Characteristics of AP, AP with RP≥PR during tachycardia on the surface ECG and the decremental conduction was liable to IAVRT; ③Longer atrioventricular conduction time. As previously described, one or more factors can lead to IAVRT.
