13D-printed models improve surgical planning for correction of severe postburn ankle contracture with an external fixator显示文摘Gradual distraction with an external fixator is a widely used treatment for severe postburn ankle contracture(SPAC).However,application of external fixators is complex,and conventional two-dimensional(2D)imaging-based surgical planning is not particularly helpful due to a lack of spatial geometry.The purpose of this study was to evaluate the surgical planning process for this procedure with patient-specific three-dimension-printed models(3DPMs).In this study,patients coming from two centers were divided into two cohorts(3DPM group vs.control group)depending on whether a 3DPM was used for preoperative surgical planning.Operation duration,improvement in metatarsal-tibial angle(MTA),range of motion(ROM),the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society(AOFAS)scores,complications,and patient-reported satisfaction were compared between two groups.The 3DPM group had significantly shorter operation duration than the control group((2.0±0.3)h vs.(3.2±0.3)h,P<0.01).MTA,ROM,and AOFAS scores between the two groups showed no significant differences pre-operation,after the removal of the external fixator,or at follow-up.Plantigrade feet were achieved and gait was substantially improved in all patients at the final follow-up.Pin-tract infections occurred in two patients(one in each group)during distraction and were treated with wound care and oral antibiotics.Patients in the 3DPM group reported higher satisfaction than those in the control group,owing to better patient-surgeon communication.Surgical planning using patient-specific 3DPMs significantly reduced operation duration and increased patient satisfaction,while providing similar improvements in ankle movement and function compared to traditional surgical planning for the correction of SPAC with external fixators.Youbai CHEN Zehao NIU Weiqian JIANG Ran TAO Yonghong LEI Lingli GUO Kexue ZHANG Wensen XIA Baoqiang SONG Luyu HUANG Qixu ZHANG Yan HAN 2021Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2021,22,10:3

3Investigations on MBSE modelling and dynamic performance assessment of an electrical trimmable horizontal stabilizer actuator显示文摘With the development of power-by-wire technology for more electric aircraft,the electromechanical actuator(EMA)has the advantages to replace the conventional hydraulic servo actuator in some aerospace flight controls.Conventional hydraulically powered trimmable horizontal stabilizer actuation(THSA)system is nowadays developed to be electrically supplied.Given their safety-criticality,no-back mechanism and redundant load paths are utilized to meet the flight control requirements.However,rare literatures have introduced these functions and addressed the virtual prototyping activities from system-level point of view.This paper proposed such a model of a THSA system with dual electric power sources and fault-tolerant mechanical load paths.The nonlinear effects of components are considered with realism,and system-level simulation test is conducted to support the model-based system engineering(MBSE)approach.The models are developed with a power view instead of a pure signal view.Focusing on the friction effect and compliance effect with backlash or preload,some improved and novel approaches are adopted for these crucial components and validated via experimental results.Meanwhile,the implemented systemlevel model enables injection of crucial faults.Finally,the simulation of the proposed model shows that it is an efficient resource to investigate the actuator’s dynamic performance,to virtually prove that the actuator meets the fail/safe constraint,and to demonstrate the soundness of the fault monitoring functions.Wensen ZHANG Jian FU Jean-Charles MARÉ Haolin MA Tianxiang XIA Yongling FU Jiangao ZHAO 2023Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2023,36,11:0
4High plasticity mechanism of high strain rate rolled Mg-Ga alloy sheets显示文摘By observing the microstructure evolution of Mg-Ga alloy during tensile deformation, it is found that the prismatic slip and the pyramidal slip occur during the tensile process at room temperature, which finally leads to the plenty of dislocation accumulation. After 8% tensile deformation,the {1012} extension twin is the main way to coordinate the strain in the c-axis direction for the alloy with the Ga content lower than 2 wt.%, but the pyramidal slip is the main way to coordinate the strain along the c-axis direction for the alloy with the Ga content higher than 2 wt.%. The Ga addition can promote the activation of the non-basal slip, which is beneficial to the work-hardening of the alloy to achieve better plasticity. Dynamic precipitation can slightly reduce the increment of dislocations.The preparation method of high strain rate rolling(HSRR) is another important reason for the plasticity of magnesium alloy sheets, and it is an important embodiment of the application of the dislocation engineering concept in magnesium alloy. The non-basal dislocations derived from the HSRR deformation can provide the non-basal dislocation sources when magnesium alloy is deformed at room temperature,resulting in good ductility.
