1The RING E3 ligase CLG1 targets GS3 for degradation via the endosome pathway to determine grain size in rice显示文摘G-protein signaling and ubiquitin-dependent degradation are both involved in grain development in rice,but how these pathways are coordinated in regulating this process is unknown.Here,we show that Chang Li Geng 1(CLG1),which encodes an E3 ligase,regulates grain size by targeting the Gγprotein GS3,a negative regulator of grain length,for degradation.Overexpression of CLG1 led to increased grain length,while overexpression of mutated CLG1 with changes in three conserved amino acids decreased grain length.We found that CLG1 physically interacts with and ubiquitinats GS3which is subsequently degraded through the endosome degradation pathway,leading to increased grain size.Furthermore,we identified a critical SNP in the exon 3 of CLG1 that is significantly associated with grain size variation in a core collection of cultivated rice.This SNP results in an amino acid substitution from Arg to Ser at position 163 of CLG1 that enhances the E3 ligase activity of CLG1 and thus increases rice grain size.Both the expression level of CLG1 and the SNP CLG1163S may be useful variations for manipulating grain size in rice.Wensi Yang Kun Wu Bo Wang Huanhuan Liu Siyi Guo Xiaoyu Guo Wei Luo Shengyuan Sun Yidan Ouyang Xiangdong Fu Kang Chong Qifa Zhang Yunyuan Xu 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,10:6

3Inorganic lead-free cesium copper chlorine nanocrystal for highly efficient and stable warm white light-emitting diodes显示文摘Inorganic cesium lead halide(CsPbX_(3), X=Cl, Br, I) nanocrystals(NCs) attract extensive attention because of their excellent optoelectronic performance. However, the classic CsPbX_(3) NCs suffer from toxicity and instability, which impede their further applications in commercial fields. Here the inorganic lead-free cesium copper chlorine NCs are synthesized by a facile hot-injection method. The blue-emission 3D CsCu_(2)Cl_(3) and green-emission 0DCs_(3)Cu_(2)Cl_(5) NCs are prepared at 70℃ and 120℃, respectively, suggesting that the reaction temperature may account for the final components. Owing to the self-trapped exciton effect, the unique optical properties, such as high photoluminescence(PL) quantum yield, broadband emission, large Stokes shift, and long PL decay time, are demonstrated for both cesium copper chlorine NCs. Moreover, highly efficient and stable warm white light-emitting diodes are fabricated with CsCu_(2)Cl_(3) and Cs_(3)Cu_(2)Cl_(5) NCs. 5Simultaneous passivation of bulk and interface defects through synergistic effect of anion and cation toward efficient and stable planar perovskite solar cells显示文摘Bulk and interface carrier nonradiative recombination losses impede the further improvement of power conversion efficiency(PCE)and stability of perovskite solar cells(PSCs).It is highly necessary to develop multifunctional strategy to minimize surface and interface nonradiative recombination losses.Herein,we report a bulk and interface defect passivation strategy via the synergistic effect of anions and cations,where multifunctional potassium sulphate(K_(2)SO_(4))is incorporated at SnO_(2)/perovskite interface.We find that K^(+)ions in K_(2)SO_(4)diffuse into perovskite layer and suppress the formation of bulk defects in perovskite films,and the SO_(4)^(2-)ions remain located at interface via the strong chemical interaction with SnO_(2)layer and perovskite layer,respectively.Through this synergistic modification strategy,effective defect passivation and improved energy band alignment are achieved simultaneously.These beneficial effects are translated into an efficiency increase from 19.45%to 21.18%with a low voltage deficit of0.53 V mainly as a result of boosted open-circuit voltage(V_(oc))after K_(2)SO_(4)modification.In addition,the K_(2)SO_(4)modification contributes to ameliorated stability.The present work provides a route to minimize bulk and interface nonradiative recombination losses for the simultaneous realization of PCE and stability enhancement by rational anion and cation synergistic engineering.Cong Zhang Huaxin Wang Haiyun Li Qixin Zhuang Cheng Gong Xiaofei Hu Wensi Cai Shuangyi Zhao Jiangzhao Chen Zhigang Zang 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,12:2
6Drug repurposing for cancer treatment through global propagation with a greedy algorithm in a multilayer network显示文摘Objective:Drug repurposing,the application of existing therapeutics to new indications,holds promise in achieving rapid clinical effects at a much lower cost than that of de novo drug development.The aim of our study was to perform a more comprehensive drug repurposing prediction of diseases,particularly cancers.Methods:Here,by targeting 4,096 human diseases,including 384 cancers,we propose a greedy computational model based on a heterogeneous multilayer network for the repurposing of 1,419 existing drugs in Drug Bank.We performed additional experimental validation for the dominant repurposed drugs in cancer.Results:The overall performance of the model was well supported by cross-validation and literature mining.Focusing on the top-ranked repurposed drugs in cancers,we verified the anticancer effects of 5 repurposed drugs widely used clinically in drug sensitivity experiments.Because of the distinctive antitumor effects of nifedipine(an antihypertensive agent)and nortriptyline(an antidepressant drug)in prostate cancer,we further explored their underlying mechanisms by using quantitative proteomics.Our analysis revealed that both nifedipine and nortriptyline affected the cancer-related pathways of DNA replication,the cell cycle,and RNA transport.Moreover,in vivo experiments demonstrated that nifedipine and nortriptyline significantly inhibited the growth of prostate tumors in a xenograft model.Conclusions:Our predicted results,which have been released in a public database named The Predictive Database for Drug Repurposing(PAD),provide an informative resource for discovering and ranking drugs that may potentially be repurposed for cancer treatment and determining new therapeutic effects of existing drugs.Xi Cheng Wensi Zhao Mengdi Zhu Bo Wang Xuege Wang Xiaoyun Yang Yuqi Huang Minjia Tan Jing Li 2022Cancer Biology & Medicine2022,19,1:2
7Room temperature synthesis of stable silica-coated CsPbBr3 quantum dots for amplified spontaneous emission显示文摘All-inorganic cesium lead bromide(CsPbBr;)perovskite quantum dots(QDs)with excellent optical properties have been regarded as good gain materials for amplified spontancous cmission(ASE).However,the poor stability as the results of the high sensitivity to heat and moisture limits their further applications.Here,we report a facile one-pot approach to synthesize CsPbBr,@SiO,QDs at room tcmperature.Duc to the effective defects passivation using SiO2,as-prepared CsPbBr,@SiO;QDs present an enhanced photolumincscence quantum yicld(PLQY)and chemical stability.The PLQy of CsPbBr,@SiO,QDs reaches 71.6%which is higher than 46%in pure CsPbBr,QDs.The PL intensity of CsPbBr;@SiO,QDs maintains 84%while remaining 24%in pure CsPbBr3 after 80 min heating at 60℃.The ASE performance of the films is also studied under a two-photon-pumped laser.Compared with the films using pure CsPbBr;QDs,those with as-prepared CsPbBr3@SiO2 QDs exhibit a reduced threshold of ASE.The work suggests that room-temperature-synthesized SiO2-coated perovskites QDs are promising candidates for lascr devices.QIONGHUA MO TONGCHAO SHI WENSI CAI SHUANGYI ZHAO DONGDONG YAN JUAN DU ZHIGANG ZANG 2020Photonics Research2020,8,10:2

9How do energy policies affect industrial green development in China:Renewable energy,energy conservation,or industrial upgrading?显示文摘The industrial sector has accounted for approximately 70%of China's total energy consumption over the past 30 years.Achieving green development is thus an important strategic goal of the Chinese industrial sector.The Chinese government has adopted various energy policies to facilitate industrial green development.Due to their different goals,these policies may have different impacts on the promotion of green development in the industrial sector.Using panel data on 31 provinces from 2007 to 2014,we examine the effects of three types of energy policies—renewable energy,energy conservation,and industrial upgrading—on industrial green development in China,measured using reduced energy intensity.Our empirical findings suggest that all three types facilitate industrial green development.However,effectiveness varies by policy type and region.Renewable energy and energy conservation policies have stronger impacts than policies aiming at upgrading traditional fossil fuel industries.Moreover,it takes longer for the effectiveness of industrial upgrading policies to be manifested,compared with the other two types.We discuss the implications of these empirical findings for future policymaking in promoting industrial green development.Jingjing Zeng Wensi Tong Tian Tang 2020Chinese Journal of Population,Resources and Environment2020,18,2:1
10Exploration of structure and mechanism of insoluble gels formed in microwave-assisted Suzuki coupling for poly(9,9-dihexylfluorene)s显示文摘A series of poly(9,9-dihexylfluorene)s (PDHFs) have been synthesized via microwave-assisted Suzuki and Yamamoto coupling reactions. Compared with the conventional oil-bath heating (48 h, Mw 20100 g/mol by Suzuki reaction and Mw 24000 g/mol by Yamamoto reaction), microwave-assisted polymerization can yield PDHFs with higher molecular weights (Mw 37200 g/mol by Suzuki reaction and Mw 43400 g/mol by Yamamoto reaction) in shorter time (14 and 60 min). However, sometimes formation of insoluble gels was observed together with PDHF in Suzuki coupling reaction. PDHF and insoluble gels were analyzed by XPS, elemental analysis, FTIR, TGA and DSC. 11YAP mediates the positive regulation of hnRNPK on the lung adenocarcinoma H1299 cell growth显示文摘Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death worldwide, and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) accounts for 80%–85% of diagnostic cases. The molecular mechanisms of NSCLC pathogenesis are not well understood. Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein K (hnRNPK) is a multifunctional protein that regulates gene expression and signal transduction and closely associated with tumorigenesis, but its mechanism of action in the pathogenesis of NSCLC is unclear. In this study, we observed that the expression pattern of hnRNPK in H1299 lung adenocarcinoma cells varied depending on the cell density in culture. Moreover, hnRNPK stimulated the ability of proliferation and colony formation of H1299 cells, which is important for the multilayered cell growth in culture. We further investigated whether there is an association between hnRNPK and the elements involved in the cell contact inhibition pathway. By using quantitative reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction assay and a YAP activity reporter system, we found that hnRNPK upregulated the mRNA and protein levels and transcriptional activity of Yes-associated protein 1 (YAP), a master negative regulator of Hippo contact inhibition pathway. Furthermore, YAP knockdown with siRNA abolished the stimulatory effect of hnRNPK on H1299 cell proliferation. These results suggested that YAP could be one of the effectors of hnRNPK. 15Inorganic halide perovskites for lighting and visible light communication显示文摘Inorganic halide perovskites(IHPs) have received substantial attention due to their unique optoelectronic properties. Among all the intriguing performance, the efficient luminescence of IHPs enables the practical application of white light-emitting diodes(WLEDs) for lighting. During the last decade, IHP-based white lighting sources with a high luminesce and a broad color gamut have been developed as strong competitors to conventional and classic WLEDs based on rare-earth phosphors and blue LED chips. Thus, it inspires us to give an overview of the emerging progress of IHP WLEDs that can function as lighting sources. Here, in this review, the generation of luminescent properties and white light in IHPs are first presented. Then, both photoluminescence and electroluminescence WLEDs with IHPs emitters, including both lead-based and lead-free IHPs, are synthetically discussed to exhibit their advantages. Furthermore, the efforts on the optical performance enhancement of IHPs in WLEDs are demonstrated and summarized. 17Performance enhancement of solution-processed InZnO thin-film transistors by Al doping and surface passivation显示文摘Solution-processed oxide semiconductors have been considered as a potential alternative to vacuum-based ones in printable electronics.However,despite spincoated InZnO(IZO)thin-film transistors(TFTs)have shown a relatively high mobil-ity,the lack of carrier suppressor and the high sensitivity to oxygen and water molecules in ambient air make them potentially suffer issues of poor stability.In this work,Al is used as the third cation doping element to study the effects on the electrical,optoelectronic,and physical properties of IZO TFTs.A hydrophobic self-assembled monolayer called octadecyltrimethoxysilane is introduced as the surface passivation layer,aiming to reduce the effects from air and understand the importance of top surface conditions in solution-processed,ultra-thin oxide TFTs.Owing to the reduced trap states within the film and at the top surface enabled by the doping and passivation,the optimized TFTs show an increased current on/off ratio,a reduced drain current hysteresis,and a significantly enhanced bias stress stability,compared with the untreated ones.By combining with high-capacitance AlO_(x),TFTs with a low operating voltage of 1.5 V,a current on/off ratio of>10^(4) and a mobility of 4.6 cm^(2)/(V·s)are demonstrated,suggesting the promising features for future low-cost,low-power electronics.Wensi Cai Haiyun Li Mengchao Li Zhigang Zang 2022Journal of Semiconductors2022,43,3:0

19High-performance CsPbBr_(3)@Cs_(4)PbBr_(6)/SiO_(2) nanocrystals via double coating layers for white light emission and visible light communication显示文摘Owing to their outstanding optoelectronic properties,all-inorganic CsPbBr_(3) perovskite nanocrystals(NCs)are regarded as excellent materials for various optoelectronic applications.Unfortunately,their practical applications are limited by poor stability against water,heat,and polar solvents.Here,we propose a facile synthesis strategy for CsPbBr_(3)@Cs_(4)PbBr_(6) NCs via tetraoctylammonium bromide ligand induction at room temperature.The resulting CsPbBr_(3)@Cs_(4)PbBr_(6) NCs show a high photoluminescence quantum yield of 94%.In order to prevent Cs4PbBr6 from being converted back to CsPbBr_(3) NCs when exposed to water,a second coating layer of SiO2 is formed on the surface of the CsPbBr_(3)@Cs_(4)PbBr_(6) NCs by the facile hydrolysis of tetramethoxysilane.The resulting CsPbBr_(3)@Cs_(4)PbBr_(6)/SiO_(2) NCs with their double coating structure have outstanding stability against not only a polar solvent(ethanol)but also water and heat.The as-prepared CsPbBr_(3)@Cs_(4)PbBr_(6)/SiO_(2) NCs serve as green emitters in efficient white light-emitting diodes(WLEDs)with a high color rendering index(CRI)of 91 and a high power efficiency 59.87 lm W−1.Furthermore,the use of these WLEDs in visible light communication(VLC)results in a maximum rate of 44.53 Mbps,suggesting the great potential of the reported methods and materials for solid-state illumination and VLC.Xianwen Li Wen Ma Dehai Liang Wensi Cai Shuangyi Zhao Zhigang Zang 2022eScience2022,2,6:0
20Stable yellow light emission from lead-free copper halides single crystals for visible light communication显示文摘Yellow light-emitting diodes(LEDs) as soft light have attracted abundant attention in lithography room, museum and art gallery. However, the development of efficient yellow LEDs lags behind green and blue LEDs, and the available perovskites yellow LEDs suffer from the instability. Herein, a pressure-assisted cooling method is proposed to grow lead-free CsCu2I3single crystals, which possess uniform surface morphology and enhanced photoluminescence quantum yield(PLQY) stability, with only 10% PLQY losses after being stored in air after 5000 h.Then, the single crystals used for yellow LEDs without encapsulation exhibit a decent Correlated Color Temperature(CCT) of 4290 K, a Commission Internationale de l’Eclairage(CIE) coordinate of(0.38, 0.41), and an excellent 570-h operating stability under heating temperature of 100°C. Finally, the yellow LEDs facilitate the application in wireless visible light communication(VLC), which show a-3 dB bandwidth of 21.5 MHz and a high achievable data rate of 219.2 Mbps by using orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) modulation with adaptive bit loading.
