| 1 | Valley excitons in two-dimensional semiconductors显示文摘Monolayer group-VIB transition-metal dichalcogenides have recently emerged as a new class of semiconductors in the two-dimensional limit. he atractive properties include the visible range direct band gap ideal for exploring optoelectronic applications; the intriguing physics associated with spin and valley pseudospin of carriers which implies potentials for novel electronics based on these internal degrees of freedom; the exceptionally strong Coulomb interaction due to the two-dimensional geometry and the large efective masses. he physics of excitons, the bound states of electrons and holes, has been one of the most actively studied topics on these two-dimensional semiconductors, where the excitons exhibit remarkably new features due to the strong Coulomb binding, the valley degeneracy of the band edges and the valley-dependent optical selection rules for interband transitions. | 2 | miR-188-5p regulates proliferation and invasion via PI3K/Akt/MMP-2/9 signaling in keloids显示文摘Keloids(KDs)and hypertrophic scars(HSs),two forms of pathological scars,seriously affect the physical and psychological health of patients.Despite many similarities with HSs,KDs are characterized by invasion and a high rate of recurrence after surgery,features they share in common with tumors.The underlying molecular mechanisms of this phenomenon have not been fully elucidated.In this study,we used microRNA(miRNA)array analysis to search for invasion-associated miRNAs in KDs.The expression of miR-188-5p in KDs,HSs,normal skin(NS)tissues,and cell lines was measured by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction.Furthermore,cell proliferation,migration,and invasion were detected in KD fibroblasts(KFs)and HS fibroblasts(HSFs),and interrelated proteins were ascertained by western blot analysis.It was found that miR-188-5p was significantly decreased in KD tissue compared with HS and NS tissues.Upregulated expression of miR-188-5p suppressed KF proliferation,migration,and invasion;and decreased expression of miR-188-5p also promoted HSF proliferation,migration,and invasion.The protein levels of MMP-2,MMP-9,PI3K,and p-Akt in miR-188-5p mimic-transfected KFs were repressed.In contrast,after transfection with miR-188-5p inhibitor,the protein levels of MMP-2,MMP-9,PI3K,and p-Akt were higher than the control in HSFs.Treatment with PI3K/Akt inhibitor LY294002 in KFs with miR-188-5p inhibitor did not further reduce their proliferation,migration,and invasion.The upregulation of MMP-2 and MMP-9 by miR-188-5p inhibitor could be abolished by LY294002.These findings together demonstrate a tumor-suppressive role of miR-188-5p in KD proliferation and invasion via PI3K/Akt/MMP-2/9 signaling,indicating that miR-188-5p may be a potential prognostic marker and therapeutic target for KDs. | Wenyan Zhu Xiaoyan Wu Bo Yang Xiaodong Yao Xiaomei Cui Pan Xu Xiaodong Chen | 2019 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2019,51,2: | 9 |

After it had been treated by silane-coupling agents KH570, magnetic micro-spheres dispersed in organic medium glycol were gained and the mean size of Fe3O4 nanopowders was 33.7 nm. So it can be concluded that magnetic micro-sphere is made of a few Fe3O4 crystals. Many factors of modification were researched, such as the time of ball milling, the content of Fe3O4 and the content of KH570. The modification of Fe3O4 is relative to the time of ball milling, but the dominant function is affected by the content of Fe3O4 and KH570. When the content of Fe3O4 is known, there is a suitable content of KH570. The effects of adsorption time, pH value, adsorption temperature, and the amount of the composite materials on the adsorption rate were studied. The adsorption principle and mechanism of the composite materials were discussed along with the Freundlich equation. The results showed that the best adsorption rate of the hydrophobic silica aerogel/activated car-bon composite materials could reach 96.5% with adsorption conditions of adsorption temperature 25°C, pH value 7, the amount of SiO2aerogel dosage 3.33 g/L, and adsorption time of 120 min. | 10 | Cutting tool temperature prediction method using analytical model for end milling显示文摘Dramatic tool temperature variation in end milling can cause excessive tool wear and shorten its life, especially in machining of difficult-to-machine materials. In this study, a new analytical model-based method for the prediction of cutting tool temperature in end milling is presented.The cutting cycle is divided into temperature increase and decrease phases. For the temperature increase phase, a temperature prediction model considering real friction state between the chip and tool is proposed, and the heat flux and tool-chip contact length are then obtained through finite element simulation. In the temperature decrease phase, a temperature decrease model based on the one-dimension plate heat convection is proposed. A single wire thermocouple is employed to measure the tool temperature in the conducted milling experiments. Both of the theoretical and experimental results are obtained with cutting conditions of the cutting speed ranging from 60 m/min to100 m/min, feed per tooth from 0.12 mm/z to 0.20 mm/z, and the radial and axial depth of cut respectively being 4 mm and 0.5 mm. The modified and unmodified nanoparticles were characterized by FT-IR, XPS and TEM. The spectra of FT-IR and XPS revealed that KH570 was coated onto the surface of Fe3O4 nanoparticles to get Fe-O-Si bond and an organic coating layer also was formed. Fe3O4 nanoparticles were spheres partly with mean size of 18.8 nm studied by TEM, which was consistent with the result 17.9 nm calculated by Scherrer’s equation. | 13 | Damming effects on dissolved inorganic carbon in different kinds of reservoirs in Jialing River,Southwest China显示文摘To assess the effects of river damming on dissolved inorganic carbon in the Jialing River, a total of 40 water samples, including inflow, outflow, and stratified water in four cascade reservoirs(Tingzikou, Xinzheng,Dongxiguan, Caojie) were collected in January and July,2016. The major cations, anions, and δ^(13)C_(DIC) values were analyzed. It was found that the dissolved compositions are dominated by carbonate weathering, while sulfuric acids may play a relatively important role during carbonate weathering and increasing DIC concentration. Different reservoirs had variable characteristics of water physiochemical stratification. The DIC concentrations of reservoir water were lower in summer than those in winter due to the dilute effects and intensive aquatic photosynthesis, as well as imported tributaries. The δ^(13)C_(DIC) values in Tingzikou Reservoir were higher during summer than those in winter,which indicated that intensive photosynthesis increased the δ^(13)C_(DIC) values in residual water, but a similar trend was not obvious in other reservoirs. Except for in Xinzheng Reservoir, the δ^(13)C_(DIC) values in inflow and outflow reservoir water were lower than those in the surface water of stratified sampling in summer. For stratified sampling, it could be found that, in summer, the Tingzikou Reservoir δ^(13)C_(DIC) values significantly decreased with water depthdue to the anaerobic breakdown of organic matter. The significant correlation(p<0.01 or 0.05) between the DIC concentrations, the δ^(13)C_(DIC) values and anthropogenic species(Na^++K^+, Cl~–, SO_4^(2-) and NO_3^-) showed that the isotope composition of DIC can be a useful tracer of contaminants. In total, Tingzikou Reservoir showed lacustrine features, Xinzheng Reservoir and Dongxiguan Reservoir had 'transitional'' features, and Caojie Reservoir had a total of 'fluvial'' features. Generally, cascade reservoirs in the Jialing River exhibited natural river features rather than typical lake features due to characteristics of reservoir water in physiochemical stratification, spatiotemporal variations of DIC concentrations and isotopic compositions. | 16 | Aerosol pollution in a megacity of southwest China inferred from variation characteristics of sulfate-δ^34S and water-soluble inorganic compositions in TSP显示文摘Daytime and nighttime aerosol samples for total suspended particles (TSP) were collected in Chengdu from 12 to 23 January 2013 (winter) and 10 to 21 August 2014 (summer). The mass concentrations of TSP, major inorganic ions, and stable sulfur isotope ratios were determined. Clear winter-summer variatio n inT SPwas observed;the mass concentrations ofTSPin summerwere below levels defi ned by the Chinese National Ambient Air Quality Standard (GB3095-2012), whereas winter TSP levels exceeded the standard by 2-4 times. Overall, the sum of SO4^2-, NO3^-, and NH4^+ concentmtions represented the highest contribution to water-soluble ionic components, which showed similar trends to TSP mass. According to correlations among major ions, the major compounds in TSP were likely to be (NH4)2SO4, NH4NO3, CaCl2,and KCl in both sampling times, and CaSO4 and Ca(NO3)2 were also present in summer. The NO3 /SO42^- ratios ranged from 0.57 to 1.28 (average 0.85 ± 0.16) in winter and 0.5 to 0.93 (average 0.66 ±0.11) in summer, indicating stationary source ernissi ons (coal bur ning) were more im porta nt sources than the vehicle exhaust. The relationship between SO4^2- and δ^34S indicated the sulfate sources were affected by the low sulfur isotope value of biogenic sulfur release in summer, and the high sulfur isotope value of coal in winter. | 20 | Identification of maize seed varieties based on near infrared reflectance spectroscopy and chemometrics显示文摘False seeds can often be seen in the maize seed market,leading to a serious decline in maize yield.Those existing variety identification methods are expensive,time consuming,and destructive to seeds.The aim of this study is to develop a cheap,fast and non-destructive method which can robustly identify large amounts of maize seed varieties based on near-infrared reflectance spectroscopy(NIRS)and chemometrics.Because it is difficult to establish models for every variety in the market,this study mainly investigated the performance of models based on a large number of samples(more than 40 major varieties in the market).The reflectance spectra of maize seeds were collected by two modes(bulk kernels mode and single kernel mode).Both collection modes can be applied to identification,but only the single kernel mode can be applied to purity sorting.The spectra were pretreated with smoothing,the first derivative and vector normalization;and then principal component analysis(PCA),linear discriminant analysis(LDA)and biomimetic pattern recognition(BPR)were applied to establish identification models.The environmental factors such as producing areas and years have a significant influence on the performance of the models.Therefore,the method to improve the robustness of the models was investigated in this study.New indexes(correct acceptance degree(CAD),correct rejection degree(CRD)and correct degree(CD))were defined to analyze the performance of the models more accurately.Finally,the models obtained a mean correct discrimination rate of over 90%,and exhibited robust properties for samples harvested from different areas and years.The results showed that NIR technology combined with chemometrics methods such as PCA,LDA,and BPR could be a suitable and alternative technique to identify the authenticity of maize seed varieties. | Yongjin Cui Lanjun Xu Dong An Zhe Liu Jiancheng Gu Shaoming Li Xiaodong Zhang Dehai Zhu | 2018 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,2: | 3 |
