| 1 | Role of pyroptosis in inflammation and cancer显示文摘Pyroptosis is a form of programmed cell death mediated by gasdermin and is a product of continuous cell expansion until the cytomembrane ruptures,resulting in the release of cellular contents that can activate strong inflammatory and immune responses.Pyroptosis,an innate immune response,can be triggered by the activation of inflammasomes by various influencing factors.Activation of these inflammasomes can induce the maturation of caspase-1 or caspase-4/5/11,both of which cleave gasdermin D to release its N-terminal domain,which can bind membrane lipids and perforate the cell membrane.Here,we review the latest advancements in research on the mechanisms of pyroptosis,newly discovered influencing factors,antitumoral properties,and applications in various diseases.Moreover,this review also provides updates on potential targeted therapies for inflammation and cancers,methods for clinical prevention,and finally challenges and future directions in the field. | Xiang Wei Feng Xie Xiaoxue Zhou Yuchen Wu Haiyan Yan Ting Liu Jun Huang Fangwei Wang Fangfang Zhou Long Zhang | 2022 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2022,19,9: | 11 |
| 2 | Transient temperature field of a friction pair in a HVD device of a belt conveyor显示文摘To show the distribution of a temperature field on a steel disk and to prolong the service life of a friction pair in a Hy-dro-Viscous Drive (HVD) device, a theoretical model of a transient temperature field was established, based on the theory of heat conduction. This theoretical model was solved using a finite element method. The results show that the surface temperature of the steel disk does not increase consistently as a function of the radius; the highest temperature appears short of the maximum radius. The relationship between the surface temperature and the mixed friction time is exponential. With a friction time of 15 s, the tem-perature reached 465.9 °C. Simultaneously, the internal thermal stress is larger than the yield stress of the material, causing a warping deformation of the steel disk. The largest axial deformation is 0.32 mm. The results of the experiment suggest that the de-formation is the same as that obtained from numerical simulation. | 8 | Trans-cinnamaldehyde inhibits Penicillium italicum by damaging mitochondria and inducing apoptosis mechanisms显示文摘Plant-derived essential oils have excellent antifungal effects and can be used for the preservation of fresh foods such as fruits and vegetables, but the detailed mechanism has not been fully elucidated. In this study, we investigated the inhibitory effects of trans-cinnamaldehyde on Penicillium italicum, a common pollution fungus in citrus, and explored the antifungal mechanism of trans-cinnamaldehyde by detecting fungal oxidative damage, mitochondrial metabolism, and cell apoptosis. These results showed that transcinnamaldehyde made the carboxylic acid cycle deregulated by altering the related enzyme activities(succinate dehydrogenase, malate dehydrogenase) and mid product. Moreover, the level of reactive oxygen species rose sharply while the redox level was out of regulation. The mitochondrial membrane potential collapsed, leading to the leakage of cytochrome c, and then triggering the activation of apoptotic protease, which was further confirmed by the significant increase in caspase-3 activity from(3.6 ± 0.6) U to(8.8 ± 1.1) U(P < 0.05). The cytochrome c in mitochondria was detected by confocal Raman microspectroscopy, the characteristic intensity index(I750/I2944) was decreased, indicating that the cytochrome c in mitochondria was reduced and leakage. Besides, the strong negative correlation between Raman intensity and the amount of cytochrome c leakage was established with the correlation coefficient of-0.981 7. | 13 | Particle breakage of sand subjected to friction and collision in drum tests显示文摘This paper presents a laboratory experimental study on particle breakage of sand subjected to friction and collision,by a number of drum tests on granular materials(silica sand No.3 and ceramic balls)to investigate the characteristics of particle breakage and its effect on the characteristics of grain size distribution of sand.Particle breakage increased in up convexity with increasing duration of drum tests,but increased linearly with increasing number of balls.Particle breakage showed an increase,followed by a decrease while increasing the amount of sand.There may be existence of a characteristic amount of sand causing a maximum particle breakage.Friction tests caused much less particle breakage than collision tests did.Friction and collision resulted in different mechanisms of particle breakage,mainly by abrasion for friction and by splitting for collision.The fines content increased with increasing relative breakage.Particle breakage in the friction tests(abrasion)resulted in a sharper increase but with a smaller total amount of fines content in comparison with that in the collision tests(splitting).For the collision tests,the fines content showed a decrease followed by an increase as the amount of sand increased,whereas it increased in up convexity with increasing number of balls.The characteristic grain sizes D_(10) and D_(30) decreased in down convexity with increasing relative breakage,which could be described by a natural exponential function.However,the characteristic grain sizes D50 and D60 decreased linearly while increasing the relative breakage.In addition,the coefficients of uniformity and curvature of sand showed an increase followed by a decrease while increasing the relative breakage. | Fangwei Yu Chonglei Zhang Qijun Xie Lijun Su Tao Zhao M.Qasim Jan | 2021 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2021,13,2: | 0 |
| 14 | DICE方案与CHOP方案治疗中高度恶性非霍奇金淋巴瘤的随机对照研究(英文)显示文摘Objective: To compare efficacies and safeties of DICE and CHOP regimens in treating intermediate and high grade non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL), and indicate the standard treatment for it. Methods: A total of 74 patients with moder- ately or highly malignant NHL, verified by pathology or histology, were randomized into the trial group (37 patients treated with DICE regimen) and the control group (37 patients treated with CHOP regimen). Survival rate was analyzed by Kaplan-Meier method. Chi-square test was performed between groups. Results: The complete response rate, partial response rate, and response rate were significantly higher in DICE group than in CHOP group (40.5% vs. 29.7%, 37.8% vs. 27.0%, and 78.3% vs. 56.7%, respectively, P < 0.05). The 1-, 3-, and 5-year survival rates were significantly higher in DICE group than in CHOP group (89.2% vs. 81.2%, 76.0% vs. 52.6%%, and 46.7% vs. 36.4%, respectively, P < 0.05). The major side effects, appeared with no differences (P > 0.05) in incidences between the two groups, were leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, and nausea. There were only three episodes of clinical cystitis or gross haematuria in DICE regimen. Conclusion: The results showed higher efficacy of DICE regimen over CHOP regimen.
