1Temporal changes in SSR allelic diversity of major rice cultivars in China显示文摘Forty simple sequence repeats (SSRs) were used to assess the changes of diversity in 310 major Chinese rice cultivars grown during the 1950s-1990s. Of the 40 SSR loci, 39 were polymorphic. A total of 221 alleles were detected with an average of 5.7 alleles per locus (Na). The Nei’s genetic diversity index (He) varied drastically among the loci (0.207 to 0.874, mean 0.625). Comparing the temporal changes in Na and He, the cultivars from the 1950s had more alleles and higher He scores than the cultivars from the other four decades Analysis of molecular variance (AMOVA) indicated that the genetic differentiation among the five decades was not significant in the whole set, but significant within indica and japonica. More changes among the decades were revealed in indica cultivars than in japonica cultivars. Some alleles had been lost in current rice cultivars in the 1990s, occurring more frequently in indica. 2Sand flux estimation during a sand-dust storm at Tazhong area of Taklimakan Desert, China显示文摘In this paper, the sand transport during a sand-dust storm in the Tazhong area of the central Taklimakan Desert from 11:29 to 23:56 on July 19, 2008 was observed and measured in real time. The sand flux at Tazhong was estimated using sand transport empirical formulas. The critical friction velocity at Tazhong was 0.24 m/s and the functional relation between the wind speed and sediment discharge at the height of 2 m was established. It was also found that the calculated values by Lettau's sediment discharge formula were close to those of the instrument measurements. 3Baicalin influences the dendritic morphology of newborn neurons in the hippocampus of chronically stressed rats显示文摘Chronic stress models,established in adult Sprague-Dawley rats through a 14-day subcutaneous injection of 40 mg/kg corticosterone,once per day,were given a daily oral feeding of 50 mg/kg baicalin.The study was an attempt to observe the effect of baicalin on neurogenesis in chronically stressed rats.Results showed that subcutaneous injection of corticosterone significantly decreased the total number of doublecortin-positive neurons in the hippocampus.The reduced cell Ⅰ number caused by corticosterone was mainly due to the decrease of class Ⅱ doublecortin-positive neurons,but the class doublecortin-positive neurons were unaffected.Baicalin treatment increased the number of both class Ⅰ and class Ⅱ doublecortin-positive neurons.In addition,doublecortin-positive neurons showed less complexity in dendritic morphology after corticosterone injection,and this change was totally reversed by baicalin treatment.These findings suggest that baicalin exhibits a beneficial effect on adult neurogenesis.Xinghua Jiang Junmei Xu Dingquan Zou Lin Yang Yaping Wang 2013Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,6:6
4Test of the uplift of Tibetan Plateau by FG5 absolute gravimeter at Lhasa station显示文摘The uplift of the Tibetan Plateau has been monitored by the FG5 absolute gravimeter, whose observing accuracy is as high as 1×10-8m/s2. 6Serum levels of suppressor of cytokine signaling 3 and signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 in childhood atopic dermatitis显示文摘Suppressor of cytokine signaling 3 (SOCS3) proteins,a member of SOCS family,are predominantly expressed in Th2 cells,and it has an important role in regulating the onset and maintenance of Th2-mediated allergic immune disease.1 SOCS can translocate from cytoplasm to nucleus when the level in cytoplasm increases,and localize to cell membrane where it binds to receptors.However,to our knowledge,there has been no documentation whether SOCS can transport to the intercellular space or circulating body fluids,let alone the subsequent biological significance.Signal transducer and activator of transcription (STAT) proteins,a group of transcription factor,are critical for mediating signals during Th1,Th2,Treg,and Th17 differentiation.Recent study demonstrated that STAT3 is not only required for the differentiation of Th17,IL-6-activated STAT3 promotes Maf expression,a factor required for Th2 differentiation and production of IL-4.Furthermore,STAT3 was activated throughout Th2 cell differentiation and was indispensable for Th2 cytokine production and transcription factor expression.2 SOCS proteins were recognized to negatively regulate the JAK/STAT signaling pathway through the common SH2 domain.Since binding of the SH2 domain of SOCS3 is relatively specific to receptors for STAT3-activating cytokines,such as IL-6,granulocyte-colony stimulating factor,leptin,and leukemia inhibitory factor,the suppressive effect of SOCS3 has been shown to be relatively restricted to STAT3.3 In this report we demonstrate that the serum levels of SOCS3 and STAT3 were increased in childhood atopic dermatitis (AD) compared with controls.Furthermore,STAT3 is significantly positively correlated with Scoring Atopic Dermatitis (SCORAD) index.Lyu Yani Zhu Lili Qi Ruiqun Xu Jing Di Zhenghong Chen Hongduo Gao Xinghua 2014Chinese Medical Journal2014,,12:4

8Estimation of stature by using the dimensions of the right hand and right foot in Han Chinese adults显示文摘The Han Chinese people are the main ethnic group in China and the largest ethnic group in the world.The dimensions of the hands and feet have been successfully used for the estimation of stature.A total of 26,927 healthy adult subjects,comprising 13,221 men and 13,706 women,were recruited.The survey samples were chosen through random cluster sampling.The mean values were significantly higher in men than those in women for all measurements(P<0.001).All the measurements showed a statistically significant correlation with stature(P<0.01).The combination of the right hand length and the right foot length was the best predictor of stature because it had the lowest standard error of estimate.The use of multiple regression equations yielded better results than did the use of linear regression equations.The accuracy of stature prediction ranged from ±4.81 to ±6.39 cm.The present study was of great importance with regards to improving the physical anthropology database of ethnic groups in China.Xinghua Zhangi Yu Wei Lianbin Zhengi Keli Yu Dapeng Zhao Jinping Bao Yonglan Li Shunhua Lu Huanjiu Xi Guochang Xu Youfeng Wen 2017Science China(Life Sciences)2017,60,1:4

11Performance gain bounds of coherently combining multiple radars in a target-based calibration manner显示文摘To achieve a high signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) while maintaining moderate radar antenna, a target-based calibration manner is available to coherently combine multiple radars. The key to this calibration manner is to estimate coherence parameters(CPs), i.e., time and phase calibration values in transmission and reception estimation, by separating the target returns into monostatic and bistatic echoes. However, CPs estimations exist uncertainties, which will affect the performance gain after multiradar coherent combination. The principle of coherently combining multiple radars is elaborated and the signal probability model for CPs estimation is established. On this basis, CPs Cramer-Rao bound(CRB) is derived in the closed-form, according to which the non-tight and tight upper bounds for multiple radars coherent combination performance gain are derived in the closed-form and via Monte Carlo(MC) simulations, respectively. 12Characteristics of sedimentation and channel adjustment linked to the Three Gorges Reservoir显示文摘Construction of large dams is attractive because of their great benefits in flood control,hydropower generation,water resources utilization,navigation improvement,etc.However,dam construction may bring some negative impacts on sediment transport and channel dynamics adjustments.Due to the effects of recent water and soil conservation projects,sediment retention in the newly constructed large upstream reservoirs,and other factors,the sedimentation in the Three Gorges Reservoir(TGR)is quite different from the amount previously predicted in the demonstration stage.Consequently,based on the measured data,characteristics of sedimentation and the related channel deformation in the TGR were analyzed.The results imply that sediment transport tended to be reduced after the Three Gorges Project(TGP).Sedimentation slowed dramatically after 2013 and indicated obvious seasonal characteristics.Due to the rising water level in the TGR in the flood season,the yearly sediment export ratio(Eratio)was prone to decrease.The water level near the dam site should be reasonably regulated according to the flow discharge to improve the sediment delivery capacity and reduce sedimentation in the TGR,and to try to avoid situations where the flood retention time is close to 444 h.The depositional belt was discontinuous in the TGR and was mainly distributed in the broad reaches,and only slight erosion or deposition occurred in the gorge reaches.Sedimentation in the broad and gorge reaches accounted for 93.8% and 6.2% of the total sedimentation,respectively.The estuarine reach located in the fluctuating backwater area experienced alternate erosion-deposition,with a slight accumulative deposition in the curved reach.Sedimentation mainly occurred in the perennial backwater area.The insight gained in this study can be conducive to directly understanding of large reservoir sedimentation and mechanism of channel adjustment in the reservoir region in the main channel of large river.Xiaoya Tang Sichen Tong Guoxian Huang Guangxiang Xu Xinghua Li Kun Lei Shiming Yao 2021International Journal of Sediment Research2021,36,2:3
13A phenomenological model of mass-exchange between the inside and outside of a cavitation bubble显示文摘The mass-exchange between the inside and outside of a cavitation bubble is a complicated process with several kinds of exchange forms acting together, such as gas diffusion, gas-liquid phase transition, chemical reactions and so on. A phenomenological model of mass-exchange was proposed, in which the pressure difference is considered as the drive. Compared with the previous physical models, it has a simpler form and less computational cost. Combining it with Rayleigh-Plesset equation, the equilibrium radius is calculated when the mass-exchange achieves the dynamic balance. The result shows that the equilibrium radius has multiple values. The relationships between the equilibrium radius and the driving ultrasound (pressure amplitude and frequency) are evaluated. We also investigated how these relationships were affected by the model parameters. Finally, the bubble radius evolution in the sulfuric acid driven by different pressures was measured. 16Pt-Re/rGO bimetallic catalyst for highly selective hydrogenation of cinnamaldehyde to cinnamylalcohol显示文摘In the present work, a series of Pt-based catalysts, alloyed with a second metal, i.e., Re, Sn, Er, La, and Y, and supported on activated carbon, ordered mesoporous carbon, N-doped mesoporous carbon or reduced graphene oxide(rGO), have been developed for selective hydrogenation of cinnamaldehyde to cinnamylalcohol. Re and rGO were proved to be the most favorable metal dopant and catalyst support, respectively. 17Effect of amlodipine on apoptosis of human breast carcinoma MDA-MB-231 cells显示文摘Objective: To elucidate the effects of amlodipine on the proliferation and apoptosis of human breast carcinoma MDA-MB-231 cells. Methods: Light microscopy was used to determine the effects of amlodipine on cell morphology; Flow cytometry was used to quantitate cells undergoing apoptosis; the expression of a cell cycle-related protein, proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) and an antiapoptosis protein, Bcl-2 were assessed by immunocytochemistry. Results: Amlodipine concentration of 8.25 μmol/L (1/2 of IC50) affected the morphology, decreased the expression of PCNA and Bcl-2 and induced apoptosis of human breast carcinoma MDA-MB-231 cells. 18Optimal Design and Dynamic Simulation of Mountain Bike with Rear Suspension显示文摘This paper investigates the dynamic design methodology of mountain bikes with rear suspension.Firstly, a multi-rigid body dynamic model of rider and mountain bike coupled system is constructed.The rider model includes 19 skeletons, 18 joints and 118 main muscles.Secondly, to validate the feasibility of the model, an experiment test is designed to reflect the real cycling status.Finally aiming at enhancing the performance of the rider vibration comfort, the scale parameters of rear suspension are optimized with compute simulation and uniform design.The mathematical model in the vibration performance and the design variables is constructed with regression analysis.The result shows that when the length of side link is 90 mm, the length of connected rod is 336.115 1 mm and the included angle between absorber and side link is 60°, the mountain bike has better vibration comfort.This study and relevan conclusions are of practical importance to the design of the mountain bike's rear suspension system.BU Yan XIANG Zhongxia HUANG Tian ZHANG Xu WANG Xinghua 2009Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2009,22,1:2
19Susceptibility of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease to heart rate difference associated with the short-term exposure to metals in ambient fine particles:A panel study in Beijing,China显示文摘Susceptibility of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)to cardiovascular autonomic dysfunction asso-ciated with exposure to metals in ambient fine particles(PM2.5,particulate matter with aerodynamic diameter≤2.5µm)remains poorly evidenced.Based on the COPDB(COPD in Beijing)panel study,we aimed to compare the associations of heart rate(HR,an indicator of cardiovascular autonomic function)and exposure to metals in PM2.5 between 53 patients with COPD and 82 healthy controls by using linear mixed-effects models.In all participants,the HR levels were significantly associated with interquartile range increases in the average concentrations of Cr,Zn,and Pb,but the strength of the associations differed by exposure time(from 1.4%for an average 9 days(d)Cr exposure to 3.5%for an average 9 d Zn exposure).HR was positively associated with the average concentrations of PM2.5 and certain metals only in patients with COPD.Associations between HR and exposure to PM2.5,K,Cr,Mn,Ni,Cu,Zn,As,and Se in patients with COPD significantly differed from those in health controls.Furthermore,association between HR and Cr exposure was robust in COPD patients.In conclusion,our findings indicate that COPD could exacerbate difference in HR following exposure to metals in PM2.5.Ke Gao Xi Chen Xiaoying Li Hanxiyue Zhang Mengxiao Luan Yuan Yao Yifan Xu Teng Wang Yiqun Han Tao Xue Junxia Wang Mei Zheng Xinghua Qiu Tong Zhu 2022Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,2:2
20Study on the Heat Conduction of Phase-Change Material Microcapsules显示文摘The 3ω approach was used to measure the effective thermal conductivity of phase-change material microcapsules (PCMMs) based on urea formaldehyde and sliced paraffin. The effective thermal conductivities of PCMMs with different densities were measured within the phase-change temperature range. The relationships between effective thermal conductivity, density and temperature were analysed. The effective thermal conductivity reached peak values within the phase-change temperature range and the temperature peak value was consistent with the peak value of the phase-change temperature.
