1Tribological behaviors of some polymeric materials in sea water显示文摘Ocean tribology, a new research field of tribology, is being established and developing. The investigation on the tribology in sea water has important significance to ocean exploitation. In this paper, the tribological behaviors of UHMWPE, PTFE as well as Ekonol/PTFE, graphite/PTFE and CF/PTFE sliding against GCr15 steel and Ni-Cr-WC alloy in sea water were investigated, and compared with those in pure water. Results show that the main factors that affect the tribological behaviors of five polymeric materials in sea water are the corrosive effect and lubricating effect of sea water. When polymeric materials sliding against GCr15 in sea water, owing to serious corrosion of counterface by sea water, the surface roughness of the counterface increases largely. As a result, the lubricating effect of medium decreases sharply and the plowing effect of counterface increases greatly. So the friction coefficients and wear rates of five materials sliding against GCr15 in sea water are much larger than those under other conditions. Such wear model, depending on the corrosion of counterface by medium, can be called indirect corrosive wear. Under other three conditions, owing to the more superior lubricating effect of sea water than pure water and the better wettability of Ni-Cr-WC than GCr15, the friction coefficients and wear rates of five materials increase in the following order: sliding against Ni-Cr-WC in sea water < sliding against Ni-Cr-WC in pure water < sliding against GCr15 in pure water. 2Carbon-based solid-liquid lubricating coatings for space applications-A review显示文摘Despite continuous improvements in machine elements over the past few decades,lubrication issues have impeded human exploration of the universe because single solid or liquid lubrication systems have been unable to satisfy the ever-increasing performance requirements of space tribology.In this study,we present an overview of the development of carbon-based films as protective coatings,with reference to their high hardness,low friction,and chemical inertness,and with a particular focus on diamond-like carbon(DLC)films.We also discuss the design of carbon-based solid-liquid synergy lubricating coatings with regards to their physicochemical properties and tribological performance.Solid-liquid composite coatings are fabricated via spinning liquid lubricants on solid lubricating films.Such duplex lubricating coatings are considered the most ideal lubrication choice for moving mechanical systems in space as they can overcome the drawback of adhesion and cold-welding associated with solid films under harsh space conditions and can minimize the crosslinking or chain scission of liquid lubricants under space irradiation.State of the art carbon-based solid-liquid synergy lubricating systems therefore holds great promise for space applications due to solid/liquid synergies resulting in superior qualities including excellent friction reduction and anti-wear properties as well as strong anti-irradiation capacities,thereby meeting the requirements of high reliability,high precision,high efficiency,and long lifetime for space drive mechanisms.Xiaoqiang FAN QunJi XUE Liping WANG 2015Friction2015,3,3:13
3Preparation and cytocompatibility of polylactic acid/hydroxyapatite/graphene oxide nanocomposite fibrous membrane显示文摘A series of polylactic acid (PLA) based nanocomposite fibrous membranes,including neat PLA,PLA/hydroxyapatite (HA) and PLA/HA/graphene oxide (GO),were fabricated via electrospinning method.The morphology and composition were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM),X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) respectively.The thermal stability was determined by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA).To estimate the cytocompatibility of asprepared PLA/HA/GO fibrous membrane,MC3T3-E1 cells were cultured,and the corresponding cell adhesion and differentiation capability were investigated by fluorescence microscopy,SEM and MTT test.The electrospun ternary PLA/HA/GO membrane exhibited three-dimensional fibrous structure with relatively rough surface morphology,which made itself ideal for cell attachment and proliferation in bone tissue regeneration.The fluorescence microscopy,SEM and MTT test confirmed that the PLA/HA/GO nanocomposite fibrous membrane created a proper environment for the seeding and proliferation of MC3T3-E1 cells.MA HaiBin SU WenXin TAI ZhiXin SUN DongFei YAN XingBin LIU Bin XUE QunJi 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,23:11

5Profile characterization and temperature dependence of droplet control on textured surfaces显示文摘Droplet control on textured surfaces has attracted much attention in the fields of drag reduction and high-efficiency microreactors. We investigated the profile characterization and temperature dependence of droplet control between wetting and non-wetting on a series of textured silicon surfaces. Surfaces were fabricated using photolithography, and the temperature-dependent wettability of the single phase regime droplets was characterized using dynamic contact angle measurements. The experiments demonstrated that the profile of textured surfaces characterizes the droplets Leidenfrost point. The Leidenfrost point is proportional to the micro-pillar size and rectangular wave-length of the textured surface and is inversely proportional to ambient temperature. The Leidenfrost droplets moved freely on the textured surface, almost without hysteresis. 6How the fluorographene replaced graphene as nanoadditive for improving tribological performances of GTL-8 based lubricant oil显示文摘Fluorographene,a new alternative to graphene,it not only inherits the 2-dimensional(2D)layered structure and outstanding mechanical properties,but also possesses controllable C-F bonds.It is meaningful to reveal the evolution processes of the tribological behaviors from graphene to fluorographene.In this work,fluorinated reduced graphene oxide nanosheets(F-rGO)with different degree of fluorination were prepared using direct gas-fluorination and they were added into gas to liquid-8(GTL-8)base oil as lubricant additive to improve the tribological performance.According to the results,the coefficient of friction(COF)reduced by 21%,notably,the wear rate reduced by 87%with the addition of highly fluorinated reduced graphene oxide(HF-rGO)compared with rGO.It was confirmed that more covalent C-F bonds which improved the chemical stability of HF-rGO resisted the detachment of fluorine so the HF-rGO nanosheets showed less damage,as demonstrated via X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),Raman spectra,and transmission electron microscopy(TEM).Meanwhile,the ionic liquid(IL)adsorbed on HF-rGO successfully improved the dispersibility of F-rGO in GTL-8 base oil.The investigation of tribofilm by TEM and focused ion beam(FIB)illustrated that IL displayed a synergy to participate in the tribochemical reaction and increased the thickness of tribofilm during the friction process.Xiaojing CI Wenjie ZHAO Jun LUO Yangmin WU Tianhao GE Qunji XUE Xiulei GAO Zhiwen FANG 2021Friction2021,9,3:4
