1Recoverable Mn~Ⅲ (salen) supported on diamine modified zirconium poly(styrene-isopropenyl phosphonate)-phosphate as an efficient catalyst for epoxidation of unfunctionalized olefins显示文摘Chiral Mn Ⅲ (salen) (Jacobsen's catalyst) was axially immobilized onto a new type of organic polymer-inorganic hybrid materialzirconium poly(styrene-isopropenyl phosphonate)-phosphate(ZPS-IPPA) with different linkage lengths and evaluated as catalysts for the epoxidation of unfunctionalized olefins. The results demonstrated that the prepared catalysts exhibited moderate to good activity and enantioselectivity in the asymmetric epoxidation of unfunctionalized olefins. Furthermore, the immobilized catalysts were relatively stable and could be conveniently separated from the reaction system by simple precipitation in hexane. Moreover, higher enantioselectivity was obtained with catalyst 2c than that of homogeneous counterpart catalyzed even after eight times. 3A New Way of Strengthening and Toughening for Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polyphenylene Sulfide(CF/PPS) Composites via Matrix Modification显示文摘The effect of pressure-induced flow(PIF) processing on the mechanical properties of noncontinuous carbon fiber(CF) reinforced polyphenylene sulfide(PPS) composites was investigated. A series of CF/PPS composites under different processing conditions were prepared through PIF-processing. SEM observations showed that the interfaces adhesion between CFs and PPS became stronger and ductile fracture mainly occurred in PPS matrix. This brought to a great increase of both strength and toughness by about 2 folds, when the composites were processed at 240 ℃ and under 263 MPa. 5Light-emitting diodes based on colloidal silicon quantum dots显示文摘Colloidal silicon quantum dots(Si QDs) hold great promise for the development of printed Si electronics. Given their novel electronic and optical properties, colloidal Si QDs have been intensively investigated for optoelectronic applications. Among all kinds of optoelectronic devices based on colloidal Si QDs, QD light-emitting diodes(LEDs) play an important role. It is encouraging that the performance of LEDs based on colloidal Si QDs has been significantly increasing in the past decade. In this review, we discuss the effects of the QD size, QD surface and device structure on the performance of colloidal Si-QD LEDs. 17Bidirectional differentiation of BMSCs induced by a biomimetic procallus based on a gelatin-reduced graphene oxide reinforced hydrogel for rapid bone regeneration显示文摘Developmental engineering strategy needs the biomimetic composites that can integrate the progenitor cells,biomaterial matrices and bioactive signals to mimic the natural bone healing process for faster healing and reconstruction of segmental bone defects.We prepared the gelatin-reduced graphene oxide(GOG)and constructed the composites that mimicked the procallus by combining the GOG with the photo-crosslinked gelatin hydrogel.The biological effects of the GOG-reinforced composites could induce the bi-differentiation of bone marrow stromal cells(BMSCs)for rapid bone repair.The proper ratio of GOG in the composites regulated the composites’mechanical properties to a suitable range for the adhesion and proliferation of BMSCs.Besides,the GOG-mediated bidirectional differentiation of BMSCs,including osteogenesis and angiogenesis,could be activated through Erk1/2 and AKT pathway.The methyl vanillate(MV)delivered by GOG also contributed to the bioactive signals of the biomimetic procallus through priming the osteogenesis of BMSCs.During the repair of the calvarial defect in vivo,the initial hypoxic condition due to GOG in the composites gradually transformed into a well-vasculature robust situation with the bi-differentiation of BMSCs,which mimicked the process of bone healing resulting in the rapid bone regeneration.As an inorganic constituent,GOG reinforced the organic photo-crosslinked gelatin hydrogel to form a double-phase biomimetic procallus,which provided the porous extracellular matrix microenvironment and bioactive signals for the bi-directional differentiation of BMSCs.These show a promised application of the bio-reduced graphene oxide in biomedicine with a developmental engineering strategy.Delong Jiao Ao Zheng Yang Liu Xiangkai Zhang Xiao Wang Jiannan Wu Wenjun She Kaige Lv Lingyan Cao Xinquan Jiang 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,7:1
18Drought stress and plant ecotype drive microbiome recruitment in switchgrass rhizosheath显示文摘The rhizosheath,a layer of soil grains that adheres firmly to roots,is beneficial for plant growth and adaptation to drought environments.Switchgrass is a perennial C4 grass which can form contact rhizosheath under drought conditions.In this study,we characterized the microbiomes of four different rhizocompartments of two switchgrass ecotypes(Alamo and Kanlow)grown under drought or well-watered conditions via 16S ribosomal RNA amplicon sequencing.These four rhizocompartments,the bulk soil,rhizosheath soil,rhizoplane,and root endosphere,harbored both distinct and overlapping microbial communities.The root compartments(rhizoplane and root endosphere)displayed low-complexity communities dominated by Proteobacteria and Firmicutes.Compared to bulk soil,Cyanobacteria and Bacteroidetes were selectively enriched,while Proteobacteria and Firmicutes were selectively depleted,in rhizosheath soil.Taxa from Proteobacteria or Firmicutes were specifically selected in Alamo or Kanlow rhizosheath soil.Following drought stress,Citrobacter and Acinetobacter were further enriched in rhizosheath soil,suggesting that rhizosheath microbiome assembly is driven by drought stress.Additionally,the ecotype-specific recruitment of rhizosheath microbiome reveals their differences in drought stress responses.Collectively,these results shed light on rhizosheath microbiome recruitment in switchgrass and lay the foundation for the improvement of drought tolerance in switchgrass by regulating the rhizosheath microbiome.Tie-Yuan Liu Nenghui Ye Xinyu Wang Debatosh Das Yuxiang Tan Xiangkai You Mingxiu Long Tianming Hu Lei Dai Jianhua Zhang Mo-Xian Chen 2021Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2021,63,10:1
