2Type Synthesis of 1T2R Parallel Mechanisms Using Structure Coupling-Reducing Method显示文摘Direct kinematics with analytic solutions is critical to the real-time control of parallel mechanisms.Therefore,the type synthesis of a mechanism having explicit form of forward kinematics has become a topic of interest.Based on this purpose,this paper deals with the type synthesis of 1T2R parallel mechanisms by investigating the topological structure coupling-reducing of the 3UPS&UP parallel mechanism.With the aid of the theory of mechanism topology,the analysis of the topological characteristics of the 3UPS&UP parallel mechanism is presented,which shows that there are highly coupled motions and constraints amongst the limbs of the mechanism.Three methods for structure coupling-reducing of the 3UPS&UP parallel mechanism are proposed,resulting in eight new types of 1T2R parallel mechanisms with one or zero coupling degree.One obtained parallel mechanism is taken as an example to demonstrate that a mechanism with zero coupling degree has an explicit form for forward kinematics.The process of type synthesis is in the order of permutation and combination;therefore,there are no omissions.This method is also appli cable to other configurations,and novel topological structures having simple forward kinematics can be obtained from an original mechanism via this method.Haitao Liu Ke Xu Huiping Shen Xianlei Shan Tingli Yang 2019Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2019,32,5:9
3Rapid cold hardening process of insects and its ecologically adaptive significance显示文摘In contrast to overwintering cold hardening, a rapid cold hardening process has recently been described in insects. This process can rapidly enhance cold tolerance of insects in several hours or even minutes. The characteristics of rapid cold hardening include inducing conditions, cold hardening effects, and fitness costs. Physiological and biochemical mechanisms of rapid cold hardening include rapid changes in the phospholipid composition and the increase in hemolymph osmolalities, polyols production, proline and cold-induced proteins. Moreover, there are different views about the ecologically adaptive significance of rapid cold hardening in insects. 4Gauge-meter model building based on the effect of elastic deformation of rolls in a plate mill显示文摘The calculation error of the gauge-meter model will affect the gap setting precision and the self-learn precision of rolling force. The precision of the gauge-meter model is strongly influenced by plate width, working roll radius, backup roll radius, working roll crown, backup roll crown, and rolling force. The influence rules are hard to get by measuring. Taking a conventional 4-h plate mill as the research subject, these influences were transferred into the calculation of roll deflection and flattening deformation. To calculate these deformations, the theory of the influence function method was adopted. By modifying the traditional gauge-meter model, a novel model of the effect of roll elastic deformation on the gap setting was built by data fitting. By this model, it was convenient to analyze the variation caused by the rolling condition. Combining the elastic deformation model of rolls with the kiss-rolls method, a gauge-meter model was put forward for plate thickness prediction. 6Determination of HCH and DDT in soils following Wenchuan 5.12 Violent Earthquake in China显示文摘A large number of disinfectants and insecticides were used on a large scale after the Wenchuan 5.12 Violent Earthquake. The disinfectants and insecticides, including HCH (hexachlorocyclohexane) and DDT (dichlorodiphenyltrichoroethane) as representative OCPs, could lead to serious environmental problems. In order to disclose the residues of HCH and DDT in soils following the Wenchuan 5.12 Violent Earthquake, surface soils in Dujiangyan City and Beichuan County were sampled in 2009. The samples were analyzed by GC/MS after pre- treatment by ultrasonic solvent extraction. It has been found that the concentra-tions of γ-HCH, β-HCH and 4,4'-DDT in soils of Beichuan County were 94–102.4, 14.1–36.1 and 2.9–4.3 times high their concentrations in those of the Wolong Nature Reserve, and the concentrations in soils of Dujiangyan City were 52.4–61.6, 8.8 –45.3 and 5.4–6.2 times high their concentrations in soils of the Wolong Nature Reserve, respectively. 8Experimental Study on Anti-adjuvant Arthritis in Rats of Kadsura coccinea显示文摘[Objectives] To investigate the therapeutic effect of Kadsura coccinea on adjuvant arthritis( AA) rats and its mechanism from cytokine levels. [Methods] The complete Freund's adjuvant( CFA)-induced AA model of rats was used. The therapeutic effect of K. coccinea on AA rats was evaluated by the articular swelling,arthritis score,immune organ index and hematoxylin-eosin( HE) staining. The content of inflammatory factors TNF-α,IL-6,and IL-1β in the serum of AA rats was detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay( ELISA) respectively. [Results]Compared with the model group,the total extract of K. coccinea( KCTE) could significantly inhibit the primary and secondary articular swelling of AA rats,lower the arthritis score and immune organ index,and improve the pathological state of ankles of AA rats. In the groups with a high and middle dosage of KCTE( KCTE-H and KCTE-M),KCTE could significantly reduce the content of TNF-α and IL-6 in the serum of rats,exhibiting a certain dose-effect relationship. 17Residual Vibration Reduction of High-Speed Pick-and-Place Parallel Robot Using Input Shaping显示文摘Because of their elastic links and joints,high-speed parallel robots for pick-and-place operations inevitably suffer from residual vibrations that significantly degrade their positioning accuracy.An effective approach based on the input shaping technique is presented in this paper for suppressing the residual vibration in these parallel robots.After addressing the design principle of an input shaper for a parallel robot with flexible actuated joints,a robust optimal input shaper is developed by considering the configuration-dependent flexible modes and minimizing the maximum percentage of residual vibration at the end-effector.The input shaper allows a good overall performance to be achieved throughout the entire workspace.Experimental results on a 4-DOF SCARA-type parallel robot show that the residual vibration of the end-effector is dramatically reduced and the dynamic positioning accuracy of the robot significantly improved.Xianlei Shan Yuhang Li Haitao Liu Tian Huang 2022Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2022,35,1:1

19Understanding the Correlations between Social Attention and Topic Trends of Scientific Publications显示文摘Purpose:We propose and apply a simplified nowcasting model to understand the correlations between social attention and topic trends of scientific publications.Design/methodology/approach:First,topics are generated from the obesity corpus by using the latent Dirichlet allocation(LDA) algorithm and time series of keyword search trends in Google Trends are obtained.We then establish the structural time series model using data from January 2004 to December 2012,and evaluate the model using data from January 2013.We employ a state-space model to separate different non-regression components in an observational time series(i.e.the tendency and the seasonality) and apply the 'spike and slab prior' and stepwise regression to analyze the correlations between the regression component and the social media attention.The two parts are combined using Markov-chain Monte Carlo sampling techniques to obtain our results.Findings:The results of our study show that(1) the number of publications on child obesity increases at a lower rate than that of diabetes publications;(2) the number of publication on a given topic may exhibit a relationship with the season or time of year;and(3) there exists a correlation between the number of publications on a given topic and its social media attention,i.e.the search frequency related to that topic as identified by Google Trends.We found that our model is also able to predict the number of publications related to a given topic.Research limitations:First,we study a correlation rather than causality between topics' trends and social media.As a result,the relationships might not be robust,so we cannotpredict the future in the long run.Second,we cannot identify the reasons or conditions that are driving obesity topics to present such tendencies and seasonal patterns,so we might need to do 'field' study in the future.Third,we need to improve the efficiency of our model by finding more efficient variable selection models,because the stepwise regression method is time consuming,especially for a large number of variables.Practical implications:This paper analyzes publication topic trends from three perspectives:tendency,seasonality,and correlation with social media attention,providing a new perspective for identifying and understanding topical themes in academic publications.Originality/value:To the best of our knowledge,we are the first to apply the state-space model to examine the relationships between healthcare-related publications and social media to investigate the relationships between a topic's evolvement and people's search behavior in social media.This paper thus provides a new viewpoint in the correlation analysis area,and demonstrates the value of considering social media attention in the analysis of publication topic trends.Xianlei Dong Jian Xu Ying Ding Chenwei Zhang Kunpeng Zhang Min Song 2016Journal of Data and Information Science2016,1,1:1
