1Single Zircon LA-ICP-MS U-Pb Dating of the Guandimiao and Wawutang Granitic Plutons in Hunan,South China and Its Petrogenetic Significance显示文摘The Guandimao and Wawutang plutons are located at the center of Hunan, South China. The former is mainly composed of biotite monzonitic granites/granodiorites and two-mica monzonitic granites, but the latter only consists of biotite monzonitic granites. The zircon ages of 203.0±1.6 Ma (biotite monzonitic granites) and 208.0±3.2 Ma (two-mica monzonitic granites) for the Guandimao pluton and 204±3 Ma for the Wawutang pluton obtained with the LA-ICP-MS U-Pb dating indicate that they were formed during the late Indosinian. In consideration of other geochronological data from Indosinian rocks of South China and adjacent regions, it is inferred that the two plutons were derived from crustal materials by decompressional melting in a post-collisional tectonic setting during spontaneous thinning of the thickened curst. 2The role of β18-β19 loop structure in insecticidal activity of Cry1Ac toxin from Bacillus thuringiensis显示文摘The β18-β19 loop in domain III of Cry1Ac toxin is unique among Bacillus thuringiensis Cry proteins. In this study, the role of the loop structure in insecticidal activity of Cry1Ac toxin was investigated. Alanine scanning mutations within the loop were initially generated and most mutants were over-expressed and reduced toxicity at different degrees, except mutant N546A that showed almost 2 times enhanced toxicity against Helicoverpa armigera larvae. Further mutagenic analysis of N546 revealed that a charged amino acid in this position would cause very unfavorable influence on insecticidal activity. In addition, the deletion of N546 led to protein instability because of destruction of the loop integrity. Besides, mutant W544F was much more toxic than W544Y, indicating that hydrophobic nature of the position was important for maintaining the stability and activity of Cry1Ac protein. 3Completely spin-decoupled geometric phase of a metasurface显示文摘Metasurfaces have provided an unprecedented degree of freedom(DOF)in the manipulation of electromagnetic waves.A geometric phase can be readily obtained by rotating the meta-atoms of a metasurface.Nevertheless,such geometric phases are usually spin-coupled,with the same magnitude but opposite signs for left-and right-handed circularly polarized(LCP and RCP)waves.To achieve independent control of LCP and RCP waves,it is crucial to obtain spin-decoupled geometric phases.In this paper,we propose to obtain completely spin-decoupled geometric phases by engineering the surface current paths on meta-atoms.Based on the rotational Doppler effect,the rotation manner is first analyzed,and it is found that the generation of a geometric phase lies in the rotation of the surface current paths on meta-atoms.Since the induced surface current paths under the LCP and RCP waves always start oppositely and are mirror-symmetrical with each other,it is natural that the geometric phases have the same magnitude and opposite signs when the meta-atoms are rotated.To obtain spin-decoupled geometric phases,the induced surface current under one spin should be rotated by one angle while the current under the other spin is rotated by a different angles.In this way,LCP and RCP waves can acquire different geometric phase changes.Proof-of-principle prototypes were designed,fabricated,and measured.Both the simulation and experiment results verify spin-decoupled geometric phases.This work provides a robust means to obtain a spindependent geometric phase and can be readily extended to higher frequency bands such as the terahertz,IR,and optical regimes.XINMIN FU JIE YANG JIAFU WANG YAJUAN HAN CHANG DING TIANSHUO QIU BINGYUE QU LEI LI YONGFENG LI SHAOBO QU 2023Photonics Research2023,11,7:1

9Voltage-dependent blockade by bupivacaine of cardiac sodium channels expressed in Xenopus oocytes显示文摘Bupivacaine ranks as the most potent and efficient drug among class I local anesthetics, but its high potential for toxic reactions severely limits its clinical use.Although bupivacaine-induced toxicity is mainly caused by substantial blockade of voltage-gated sodium channels(VGSCs), how these hydrophobic molecules interact with the receptor sites to which they bind remains unclear.Nav1.5 is the dominant isoform of VGSCs expressed in cardiac myocytes, and its dysfunction may be the cause of bupivacainetriggered arrhythmia.Here, we investigated the effect of bupivacaine on Nav1.5 within the clinical concentration range.The electrophysiological measurements on Nav1.5 expressed in Xenopus oocytes showed that bupivacaine induced a voltageand concentration-dependent blockade on the peak of INa and the half-maximal inhibitory dose was 4.51 μmol/L.Consistent with other local anesthetics, bupivacaine also induced a use-dependent blockade on Nav1.5 currents.The underlying mechanisms of this blockade may contribute to the fact that bupivacaine not only dose-dependently affected the gating kinetics of Nav1.5 but also accelerated the development of its open-state slow inactivation.These results extend our knowledge of the action of bupivacaine on cardiac sodium channels, and therefore contribute to the safer and more efficient clinical use of bupivacaine.Heng Zhang Hui Ji Zhirui Liu Yonghua Ji Xinmin You Gang Ding Zhijun Cheng 2014Neuroscience Bulletin2014,30,4:0
10支气管软镜下冷冻消融后冻切法即刻治疗中央气道阻塞(英文)显示文摘Objective:In order to achieve immediate relief of central airway obstruction caused by malignant tumor after interventional therapy, we observed the efficacy and safety of cryorecanalization after cryosurgery via flexible bronchoscope. Methods:Atotal of 64 cases of patients in all suffered from central airway obstruction were observed and treated by applying cryorecanalization after cryosurgery via flexible bronchoscope. Divide the operation into two steps, including cryosurgery and cryorecanalization. Evaluate the therapeutic effect immediately after the treatment, wherein the evaluating indicator includes preoperative and postoperative dyspnea indexes, quality of life score, bronchoscopy, etc. The surgical safety assessment is mainly by observing the risk of bleeding in the surgery. Results:Forty cases (62.5%) has postoperative dyspnea score improved at least one level compared with preoperative dyspnea score, 24 patients (37.5%) have no significant improvement on dyspnea score. Quality of life score (Karnofsky score):preoperative 52±18.7 points, postoperative 70±9.2 points. Bronchoscopy review:complete suecess in 12 cases (18.8%), partial success in 45 cases (70.3%), no success in 7 cases (12%). 89.1% overall clinical efficiency was achieved. In the surgery, the control to bleeding was satisfactory since no severe bleeding, moderate bleeding in 14 cases (21.9%) and mild bleeding in 50 cases (78.1%) were found as well as rigid bronchoscope was free. 11Observation on therapeutic efficacy of ursodeoxycholic acid in Chinese patients with primary biliary cirrhosis:a 2-year follow-up study显示文摘The efficacy of ursodeoxycholic acid(UDCA)on long-term outcome of primary biliary cirrhosis(PBC)has been less documented in Chinese cohort.We aimed to assess the therapeutic effect of UDCA on Chinese patients with PBC.In the present study,67 patients with PBC were treated with UDCA(13–15 mg∙kg^(-1)∙day^(-1))and followed up for 2 years to evaluate the changes of symptoms,laboratory values and histological features.As the results indicated,fatigue and pruritus were obviously improved by UDCA,particularly in patients with mild or moderate symptoms.The alkaline phosphatase andγ-glutamyl transpetidase levels significantly declined at year 2 comparing to baseline values,with the most profound effects achieved in patients at stage 2.The levels of alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase significantly decreased whereas serum bilirubin and immunoglobulin M levels exhibited no significant change.Histological feature was stable in patients at stages 1–2 but still progressed in patients at stages 3–4.The biochemical response of patients at stage 2 was much better than that of patients at stages 3–4.These data suggest that,when treated in earlier stage,patients in long-term administration of UDCA can gain favorable results not only on symptoms and biochemical responses but also on histology.It is also indicated that later histological stage,bad biochemical response and severe symptom may be indicators of poor prognosis for UDCA therapy.Jiangyi Zhu Yongquan Shi Xinmin Zhou Zengshan Li Xiaofeng Huang Zheyi Han Jianhong Wang Ruian Wang Jie Ding Kaichun Wu Ying Han Daiming Fan 2013Frontiers of Medicine2013,7,2:0
