| 2 | Distribution and sources of solvent extractable organic compounds in PM_(2.5) during 2007 Chinese Spring Festival in Beijing显示文摘The solvent extractable organic compounds (SEOC), including n-alkanes, polycylic aromatic hydrocarbons, fatty acids, anddicarboxylic acids in PM2.5 during the 2007 Chinese Spring Festival in Beijing, were measured via gas chromatography-massspectrometry for determining the characteristics and sources of these organic pollutants. The concentrations of total n-alkanes, PAHs,and organic acids before Chinese Spring Festival Eve (1025.5, 95.9, and 543.3 ng/m3, respectively) were higher than those after (536.6,58.9, and 331.8 ng/m3, respectively). n-Aalkanes and PAHs had much higher concentration in nighttime than those in daytime becauseof high relative humidity and low wind speed during the night. Combustion of coal and exhaust emission were major sources of n-alkanes. It could be concluded by the characteristic ratios that the primary source of PAHs in fine particles was the combustion of coal,but the combustion of gasoline was in the next place. The ratios of C18:0/C16 indicated the contribution of vehicular emissions to thefatty acids. | 5 | Genome-wide association study identifies favorable SNP alleles and candidate genes for waterlogging tolerance in chrysanthemums显示文摘Chrysanthemums are sensitive to waterlogging stress,and the development of screening methods for tolerant germplasms or genes and the breeding of tolerant new varieties are of great importance in chrysanthemum breeding.To understand the genetic basis of waterlogging tolerance(WT)in chrysanthemums,we performed a genome-wide association study(GWAS)using 92,811 single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)in a panel of 88 chrysanthemum accessions,including 64 spray cut and 24 disbud chrysanthemums.The results showed that the average MFVW(membership function value of waterlogging)of the disbud type(0.65)was significantly higher than that of the spray type(0.55)at P<0.05,and the MFVW of the Asian accessions(0.65)was significantly higher than that of the European accessions(0.48)at P<0.01.The GWAS performed using the general linear model(GLM)and mixed linear model(MLM)identified 137 and 14 SNP loci related to WT,respectively,and 11 associations were commonly predicted.By calculating the phenotypic effect values for 11 common SNP loci,six highly favorable SNP alleles that explained 12.85—21.85%of the phenotypic variations were identified.Furthermore,the dosage-pyramiding effects of the favorable alleles and the significant linear correlations between the numbers of highly favorable alleles and phenotypic values were identified(r2=0.45;P<0.01).A major SNP locus(Marker6619-75)was converted into a derived cleaved amplified polymorphic sequence(dCAPS)marker that cosegregated with WT with an average efficiency of 78.9%.Finally,four putative candidate genes in the WT were identified via quantitative real-time PCR(qRT-PCR).The results presented in this study provide insights for further research on WT mechanisms and the application of molecular marker-assisted selection(MAS)in chrysanthemum WT breeding programs. | Jiangshuo Su Fei Zhang Xinran Chong Aiping Song Zhiyong Guan Weimin Fang Fadi Chen | 2019 | Horticulture Research2019,6,1: | 9 |

| 7 | Incidence,mortality and survival of female breast cancer during 2003-2011 in Jiangsu province,China显示文摘Objective: To assess the incidence, mortality and survival status of female breast cancer in Jiangsu province of China.Methods: Population-based cancer registry data in Jiangsu province were collected during 2003-2011. Crude rates, age-specific rates, age-standardized rates and annual percent changes of incidence and mortality were calculated to describe the epidemiologic characteristics and time trends. Patients diagnosed from 2003 to 2005 were chosen for analyzing the survival status of breast cancer.Results: From 2003 to 2011, 17,605 females were diagnosed with breast cancer and 4,883 died in selected registry areas in Jiangsu province. The crude incidence rate was 25.18/100,000, and the age-standardized rates by Chinese population(ASRC) and by world population(ASRW) were 19.03/100,000 and 17.92/100,000, respectively. During the same period, the crude mortality rate was 6.98/100,000 and the ASRC and ASRW were 4.93/100,000 and 4.80/100,000, respectively. From 2003 to 2011, the incidence and mortality increased with annual percent change of 11.37% and 5.78%, respectively. For survival analysis, 1,392 patients in 7 areas were identified in 2003-2005 and finished 5 years of follow-up. Survival rates were found to decrease with survival years, the 5-year observed survival rate was 45.9% and the relative survival rate was 52.0%. We also found that the survival rate varied across the province, which was lower in the north and higher in the south of Jiangsu province.Conclusions: Breast cancer has become a significant public health problem in Jiangsu province and China. | 10 | Epidemiological characteristics of pulmonary tuberculosis in patients with pneumoconiosis based on its social determinants and risk factors in China:a cross-sectional study from 27 provinces显示文摘Background:Patients with pneumoconiosis have an elevated risk of contracting pulmonary tuberculosis(PTB)and need particular attention.However,extensive population-based studies on the prevalence of PTB in patients with pneumoconiosis have not been reported in China since 1992.This study aimed to investigate the epidemiological characteristics of PTB in patients with pneumoconiosis based on its social determinants and risk factors in China.Methods:Based on the Commission on Social Determinants of Health(CSDH)framework,data were obtained from a questionnaire survey of patients with pneumoconiosis from China’s 27 provinces(autonomous regions,municipalities)from December 2017 to June 2021.By chi-square and multivariate logistic regression analyses,the epidemiological characteristics of PTB in the patients were identified based on its prevalence and odds ratio(OR)and associated social determinants and risk factors.The population attributable fractions(PAFs)of significant risk factors were also calculated.Results:The prevalence of PTB in patients with pneumoconiosis(n=10,137)was 7.5%(95%confidence interval[CI]:7.0-8.0%).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that risk factors included in-hospital exposure to patients with PTB(OR=3.30,95%CI:2.77-3.93),clinically diagnosed cases(OR=3.25,95%CI:2.42-4.34),and northeastern regions(OR=2.41,95%CI:1.76-3.31).In addition,lack of work-related injury insurance(WRII),being born in a rural area,being unemployed,living in western regions,household exposure to patients with PTB,smoking,being underweight,complications of pulmonary bullae or pneumothorax,hospitalization history,and former drinkers among the rural patients were also statistically significant risk factors.Being born in a rural area,lack of WRII and in-hospital exposure to patients with PTB had higher PAFs,which were 13.2%(95%CI:7.9-18.5%),12.5%(95%CI:8.3-16.7%),and 11.6%(95%CI:8.8-14.3%),respectively.Conclusion:The prevalence of PTB in pneumoconiosis remains high in China;it is basically in line with the CSDH models and has its characteristics. | Huanqiang Wang Huaping Dai Jiayu He Xiangpei Lyu Xinran Zhang Tao Li | 2022 | Chinese Medical Journal2022,135,24: | 7 |

| 12 | Characterization particulate matter from several Chinese cooking dishes and implications in health effects显示文摘Cooking fume produced by oil and food at a high temperature releases large amount of fine particulate matter(PM) which have a potential hazard to human health. This chamber study investigated particle emission characteristics originated from using four types of oil(soybean oil, olive oil, peanut oil and lard) and different kinds of food materials(meat and vegetable). The corresponding emission factors(EFs) of number, mass, surface area and volume for particles were discussed. Temporal variation of size-fractionated particle concentration showed that olive oil produced the highest number PM concentration for the entire cooking process. Multiple path particle dosimetry(MPPD) model was performed to predict deposition in the human respiratory tract. Results showed that the pulmonary airway deposition fraction was the largest. It was also found that particles produced from olive oil led to the highest deposition. | 13 | Lithium metal batteries for high energy density:Fundamental electrochemistry and challenges显示文摘The dependence on portable devices and electrical vehicles has triggered the awareness on the energy storage systems with ever-growing energy density.Lithium metal batteries(LMBs)has revived and attracted considerable attention due to its high volumetric(2046 m Ah cm-3),gravimetric specific capacity(3862 m Ah g^(-1))and the lowest reduction potential(-3.04 V vs.SHE.).However,during the electrochemical process of lithium anode,the growth of lithium dendrite constitutes the biggest stumbling block on the road to LMBs application.The undesirable dendrite not only limit the Coulombic efficiency(CE)of LMBs,but also cause thermal runaway and other safety issues due to short-circuits.Understanding the mechanisms of lithium nucleation and dendrite growth provides insights to solve these problems.Herein,we summarize the electrochemical models that inherently describe the lithium nucleation and dendrite growth,such as the thermodynamic,electrodeposition kinetics,internal stress,and interface transmission models.Essential parameters of temperature,current density,internal stress and interfacial Li+flux are focused.To improve the LMBs performance,state-of-the-art optimization procedures have been developed and systematically illustrated with the intrinsic regulation principles for better lithium anode stability,including electrolyte optimization,artificial interface layers,threedimensional hosts,external field,etc.Towards practical applications of LMBs,the current development of pouch cell LMBs have been further introduced with different assembly systems and fading mechanism.However,challenges and obstacles still exist for the development of LMBs,such as in-depth understanding and in-situ observation of dendrite growth,the surface protection under extreme condition and the self-healing of solid electrolyte interface. | Mingda Gao Hui Li Li Xu Qing Xue Xinran Wang Ying Bai Chuan Wu | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,8: | 6 |

| 15 | Improving acarbose production and eliminating the by-product component C with an efficient genetic manipulation system of Actinoplanes sp.SE50/110显示文摘Theα-glucosidase inhibitor acarbose is commercially produced by Actinoplanes sp.and used as a potent drug in the treatment of type-2 diabetes.In order to improve the yield of acarbose,an efficient genetic manipulation system for Actinoplanes sp.was established.The conjugation system between E.coli carryingØC31-derived integrative plasmids and the mycelia of Actinoplanes sp.SE50/110 was optimized by adjusting the parameters of incubation time of mixed culture(mycelia and E.coli),quantity of recipient cells,donor-to-recipient ratio and the concentration of MgCl2,which resulted in a high conjugation efficiency of 29.4%.Using this integrative system,a cloned acarbose biosynthetic gene cluster was introduced into SE50/110,resulting in a 35%increase of acarbose titer from 2.35 to 3.18 g/L.Alternatively,a pIJ101-derived replicating plasmid combined with the counter-selection system CodA(sm)was constructed for gene inactivation,which has a conjugation frequency as high as 0.52%.Meanwhile,almost all 5-flucytosine-resistant colonies were sensitive to apramycin,among which 75%harbored the successful deletion of targeted genes.Using this replicating vector,the maltooligosyltrehalose synthase gene treY responsible for the accumulation of component C was inactivated,and component C was eliminated as detected by LC-MS.Based on an efficient genetic manipulation system,improved acarbose production and the elimination of component C in our work paved a way for future rational engineering of the acarbose-producing strains. | Qinqin Zhao Huixin Xie Yao Peng Xinran Wang Linquan Bai | 2017 | Synthetic and Systems Biotechnology2017,2,4: | 6 |

| 18 | One-carbon metabolism and breast cancer: an epidemiological perspective显示文摘One-carbon metabolism is a network of biological reactions that plays critical role in DNA methylation and DNA synthesis, and in turn, facilitates the cross-talk between genetic and epigenetic processes. Genetic polymorphisms and supplies of cofactors (e.g. folate, vitamins B) involved in this pathway have been shown to influence cancer risk and even survival. In this review, we summarized the epi- demiological evidence for one-carbon metabolism, from both genetics and lifestyle aspects, in relation to breast cancer risk. We also dis- cussed this pathway in relation to breast cancer survival and the modulation of one-carbon polymorphism in chemotherapy. Emerging evidence on modulation of DNA methylation by one-carbon metabolism suggests that disruption of epigenome might have been the un- derlying mechanism. | 19 | Amoxicillin effects on functional microbial community and spread of antibiotic resistance genes in amoxicillin manufacture wastewater treatment system显示文摘This study aimed to reveal how amoxicillin(AMX) affected the microbial community and the spread mechanism of antibiotic resistance genes(ARGs) in the AMX manufacture wastewater treatment system. For this purpose, a 1.47 L expanded granular sludge bed(EGSB) reactor was designed and run for 241 days treating artificial AMX manufacture wastewater. 454 pyrosequencing was applied to analyze functional microorganisms in the system. The antibiotic genes OXA_(-1), OXA_(-2), OXA_(-10), TEM_(-1), CTX-M_(-1), class I integrons(intI1) and 16 SrRNA genes were also examined in sludge samples. The results showed that the genera Ignavibacterium, Phocoenobacter,Spirochaeta, Aminobacterium and Cloacibacillus contributed to the degradation of different organic compounds(such as various sugars and amines).
