3Understanding the improved performance of sulfur-doped interconnected carbon microspheres for Na-ion storage显示文摘As one of the low-cost energy storage systems,Na-ion batteries(NIBs)have received tremendous attention.However,the performance of current anode materials still cannot meet the requirements of NIBs.In our work,we obtain sulfur-doped interconnected carbon microspheres(S-CSs)via a simple hydrothermal method and subsequent sulfurizing treatment.Our S-CSs exhibit an ultrahigh reversible capacity of 520 mAh g^(-1) at 100 mA g^(-1) after 50 cycles and an excellent rate capability of 257 mAh g^(-1),even at a high current density of 2 A g^(-1).The density functional theory calculations demonstrate that sulfur doping in carbon favors the adsorption of Na atom during the sodiation process,which is accountable for the performance enhancement.Furthermore,we also utilize operando Raman spectroscopy to analyze the electrochemical reaction of our S-CSs,which further highlights the sulfur doping in improving Na-ion storage performance.Xinran Yuan Siming Chen Jinliang Li Junpeng Xie Genghua Yan Botian Liu Xibo Li Rui Li Likun Pan Wenjie Mai 2021Carbon Energy2021,3,4:3
4Isolation and functional analysis of SrMYB1,a direct transcriptional repressor of SrUGT76G1 in Stevia rebaudiana显示文摘SrUGT76G1,the most well-studied diterpene glycosyltransferase in Stevia rebaudiana,is key to the biosynthesis of economically important steviol glycosides(SGs).However,the molecular regulatory mechanism of SrUGT76G1 has rarely been explored.In this study,we identified a MYB transcription factor,SrMYB1,using a yeast one-hybrid screening assay.SrMYB1 belongs to the typical R2R3-type MYB protein and is specifically localized in the nucleus with strong transactivation activity.The transcript of SrMYB1 is predominantly accumulated in flowers,but is also present at a lower level in leaves.Yeast one-hybrid and electrophoretic mobility shift assays verified that SrMYB1 binds directly to the MYB binding sites in the F4-3 fragment(+50–(–141))of the SrUGT76G1 promoter.Furthermore,we found that SrMYB1 could significantly repress the expression of SrUGT76G1 in both epidermal cells of tobacco leaves and stevia callus.Taken together,our results demonstrate that SrMYB1 is an essential upstream regulator of SrUGT76G1 and provide novel insight into the regulatory network for the SGs metabolic pathway in S.rebaudiana.ZHANG Ting ZHANG Yong-xia SUN Yu-ming XU Xiao-yang WANG Yin-jie CHONG Xinran YANG Yong-heng YUAN Hai-yan 2023Journal of Integrative Agriculture2023,22,4:1
5Increasing stiffness promotes pulmonary retention of ligand-directed dexamethasone-loaded nanoparticle for enhanced acute lung inflammation therapy显示文摘Inhaled nanoparticles(NPs)need to penetrate the bronchial mucosa to deliver drug payloads deeply in the lung for amplified local therapy.However,the bronchial mucociliary barrier eliminates NPs rapidly,which considerably limits their mucosal penetration.In this study,we find that surface ligand modification and stiffness adjustment of NPs contribute to the significantly enhanced bronchial mucosal absorption and pulmonary retention of inhaled drugs.We utilize neonatal Fc receptor ligand(FcBP)to modify the rationally designed low stiffness NPs(Soft-NP)and high stiffness NPs(Stiff-NP)to target bronchial mucosa.In an acute lung inflammation rat model,after intranasal administration with dexamethasone-loaded NPs,Stiff-NP endowed with FcBP displays superior therapeutic effects.The in vitro data demonstrate that the promotion effect of FcBP to bronchial mucosal absorption of Stiff-NP dominates over Soft-NP.This could be attributed to the higher affinity between ligand-receptor when incorporating FcBP on the Stiff-NP surface.Meanwhile,high stiffness modulates more actin filaments aggregation to mediate endocytosis,along with strengthened Ca2+signal to enhance exocytosis.Conclusively,we highlight that FcBP-modified NPs with higher stiffness would be a potential pulmonary drug delivery system.Yinglan Yu Shujie Li Yuan Yao Xinran Shen Lian Li Yuan Huang 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,2:0

7Amphiphilic block copolymers directed synthesis of mesoporous nickel-based oxides with bimodal mesopores and nanocrystal-assembled walls显示文摘Mesoporous late-transition metal oxides have great potential in applications of energy,catalysis and chemical sensing due to their unique physical and chemical properties.However,their synthesis via the flexible and scalable soft-template method remain a great challenge,due to the weak organic-inorganic interaction between the frequently used surfactants(e.g.,Pluronic-type block copolymers) and metal oxide precursors,and the low crystallization temperature of metal oxides.In this study,ordered mesoporous NiO with dual mesopores,high surface area and well-interconnected crystalline porous frameworks have been successfully synthesized via the facile solvent evaporation-induced co-assembly(EICA) method,by using lab-made amphiphilic diblock copolymer polystyrene-b-poly(4-vinylpyridine)(PS-b-P4 VP) as both the structure-directing agent(the soft template) and macromolecular chelating agents for nickel species,THF as the solvent,and nickel acetylacetonate(Ni(acac)2) as inorganic precursor.Similarly,by using Ni(acac)2 and Fe(acac)3 as the binary precursors,ordered mesoporous Fedoped NiO materials can be obtained,which have bimodal mesopores of large mesopores(32.5 nm) and secondary mesopores(4.0-11.5 nm) in the nanocrystal-assembled walls,high specific surface areas(~74.8 m^2/g) and large pore value(~0.167 cm^3/g).The obtained mesoporous Fe-doped NiO based gas sensor showed superior ethanol sensing performances with good sensitivity,high selectivity and fast response-recovery dynamics.Yuan Ren Xuanyu Yang Xinran Zhou Wei Luo Yi Zhang Xiaowei Cheng Yonghui Deng 2019Chinese Chemical Letters2019,30,12:0
8Identification of de novo Mutations in the Chinese Autism Spectrum Disorder Cohort via Whole-Exome Sequencing Unveils Brain Regions Implicated in Autism显示文摘Autism spectrum disorder(ASD)is a highly heritable neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by deficits in social interactions and repetitive behaviors.Although hundreds of ASD risk genes,implicated in synaptic formation and transcriptional regulation,have been identified through human genetic studies,the East Asian ASD cohorts are still under-represented in genome-wide genetic studies.Here,we applied whole-exome sequencing to 369 ASD trios including probands and unaffected parents of Chinese origin.Using a joint-calling analytical pipeline based on GATK toolkits,we identified numerous de novo mutations including 55 high-impact variants and 165 moderate-impact variants,as well as de novo copy number variations containing known ASD-related genes.Importantly,combined with single-cell sequencing data from the developing human brain,we found that the expression of genes with de novo mutations was specifically enriched in the pre-,post-central gyrus(PRC,PC)and banks of the superior temporal(BST)regions in the human brain.By further analyzing the brain imaging data with ASD and healthy controls,we found that the gray volume of the right BST in ASD patients was significantly decreased compared to healthy controls,suggesting the potential structural deficits associated with ASD.Finally,we found a decrease in the seed-based functional connectivity between BST/PC/PRC and sensory areas,the insula,as well as the frontal lobes in ASD patients.This work indicated that combinatorial analysis with genome-wide screening,single-cell sequencing,and brain imaging data reveal the brain regions contributing to the etiology of ASD.Bo Yuan Mengdi Wang Xinran Wu Peipei Cheng Ran Zhang Ran Zhang Shunying Yu Jie Zhang Yasong Du Xiaoqun Wang Zilong Qiu 2023Neuroscience Bulletin2023,39,10:0
9The graphene nanopowder for electro-catalytic oxidation of dopamine and uric acid in the presence of ascorbic acid显示文摘The graphene nanopowder for electro-catalytic oxidation of dopamine and uric acid in the presence of ascorbic acid has been investigated by cyclic voltammetry,linear polarization and chronoamperometry.The graphene nanopowder modified electrode was prepared using the drop coating method,which displayed excellent electrocatalytic activity towards the oxidation of dopamine and uric acid compared with the bare glassy carbon electrode in phosphate buffer solution at pH=7.0.Linear responses for dopamine and uric acid were obtained in the ranges of3.3μmol/L to 249.1μmol/L and 6.7μmol/L to 386.3μmol/L with detection limits of 1.5μmol/L and 2.7μmol/L(S/N=3),respectively.The response time was less than 2 s in case of dopamine and 3 s in case of uric acid,respectively.The results demonstrated that the graphene nanopowder had potential for detecting dopamine and uric acid.Yuan Bu Wenle Dai Nan Li Xinran Zhao Xia Zuo 2013Journal of Energy Chemistry2013,22,5:0
10The Physiological and Molecular Responses of Exogenous Selenium to Selenium Content and Fruit Quality in Walnut显示文摘To study the effect of exogenous selenium on fruit quality in walnut(Juglans regia L.),8-year-old walnut(Qingxiang)was taken as the research object.In the fruit expansion stage,300 mg/L of sodium selenate,yeast selenium and sodium selenite solutions were applied on the leaf of walnut,and the selenium levels in leaves,pericarp and kernel were determined at the ripening stage.The fruit quality,mineral nutrient content,antioxidant enzyme activity,and related genes’expression were analyzed.The results showed that the three exogenous selenium increased the selenium levels in leaves,pericarp and kernel of walnut.They also significantly increased fruit and kernel weights,and kernel linoleic acid,but markedly decreased kernel crude fat and saturated fatty acid.Selenium spraying promoted the absorption of mineral nutrients such as potassium and zinc,but inhibited the absorption of calcium,and had no significant effect on iron and magnesium in the kernel.Three exogenous selenium increased the activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD),peroxidase(POD),ascorbate peroxidase(APX),and catalase(CAT)significantly in the kernel.Except for sodium selenate treatment significantly reduced malondialdehyde(MDA)content in the kernel,the other two selenium sources treatments had no significant effect on MDA and hydrogen peroxide(H2O2)levels.They also increased the expression of JrCu/Zn-SOD,Jr2-Cys POD,JrCyt-APX and JrCAT in kernel,to different extents.These implies that,in the walnut fruit enlargement period,the foliar spraying selenium could increase the selenium content of walnut,affect the mineral nutrient absorption,improve the antioxidant capacity and related genes’expression,and reduce the degree of peroxide,and then improve the quality of fruit.Furthermore,yeast selenium showed the comprehensive effect of the best.Mufang Sun Xinran Hui Cuiling Tong Longyi Yuan Dejian Zhang 2023Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2023,92,3:0
11Defining Proximity Proteome of Histone Modifications by Antibody-mediated Protein A-APEX2 Labeling显示文摘Proximity labeling catalyzed by promiscuous enzymes,such as APEX2,has emerged as a powerful approach to characterize multiprotein complexes and protein-protein interactions.However,current methods depend on the expression of exogenous fusion proteins and cannot be applied to identify proteins surrounding post-translationally modified proteins.To address this limitation,we developed a new method to label proximal proteins of interest by antibody-mediated protein A-ascorbate peroxidase 2(pA-APEX2) labeling(AMAPEX).In this method,a modified protein is bound in situ by a specific antibody,which then tethers a pA-APEX2 fusion protein.Activation of APEX2 labels the nearby proteins with biotin;the biotinylated proteins are then purified using streptavidin beads and identified by mass spectrometry.We demonstrated the utility of this approach by profiling the proximal proteins of histone modifications including H3 K27 me3,H3 K9 me3,H3 K4 me3,H4 K5 ac,and H4 K12 ac,as well as verifying the co-localization of these identified proteins with bait proteins by published ChIP-seq analysis and nucleosome immunoprecipitation.Overall,AMAPEX is an efficient method to identify proteins that are proximal to modified histones.Xinran Li Jiaqi Zhou Wenjuan Zhao Qing Wen Weijie Wang Huipai Peng Yuan Gao Kelly J.Bouchonville Steven M.Offer Kuiming Chan Zhiquan Wang Nan Li Haiyun Gan 2022Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2022,20,1:0
12Imatinib blocks tyrosine phosphorylation of Smad4 and restores TGF-β growth-suppressive signaling in BCR-ABL1-positive leukemia显示文摘Loss of TGF-β-mediated growth suppression is a major contributor to the development of cancers,best exemplified by loss-offunction mutations in genes encoding components of the TGF-βsignaling pathway in colorectal and pancreatic cancers.Alternatively,gain-of-function oncogene mutations can also disrupt antiproliferative TGF-βsignaling.However,the molecular mechanisms underlying oncogene-induced modulation of TGF-βsignaling have not been extensively investigated.Here,we show that the oncogenic BCR-ABL1 of chronic myelogenous leukemia(CML)and the cellular ABL1 tyrosine kinases phosphorylate and inactivate Smad4 to block antiproliferative TGF-βsignaling.Mechanistically,phosphorylation of Smad4 at Tyr195,Tyr301,and Tyr322 in the linker region interferes with its binding to the transcription co-activator p300/CBP,thereby blocking the ability of Smad4 to activate the expression of cyclin-dependent kinase(CDK)inhibitors and induce cell cycle arrest.In contrast,the inhibition of BCR-ABL1 kinase with Imatinib prevented Smad4 tyrosine phosphorylation and re-sensitized CML cells to TGF-β-induced antiproliferative and pro-apoptotic responses.Furthermore,expression of phosphorylation-site-mutated Y195F/Y301F/Y322F mutant of Smad4 in Smad4-null CML cells enhanced antiproliferative responses to TGF-β,whereas the phosphorylation-mimicking Y195E/Y301E/Y322E mutant interfered with TGF-βsignaling and enhanced the in vivo growth of CML cells.These findings demonstrate the direct role of BCR-ABL1 tyrosine kinase in suppressing TGF-βsignaling in CML and explain how Imatinib-targeted therapy restored beneficial TGF-βanti-growth responses.Lijing Wang Shuchen Gu Fenfang Chen Yi Yu Jin Cao Xinran Li Chun Gao Yanzhen Chen Shuchong Yuan Xia Liu Jun Qin Bin Zhao Pinglong Xu Tingbo Liang Hongyan Tong Xia Lin Xin-Hua Feng 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,4:0
13Research on the Motion Track of Ocean Towing System显示文摘In this paper, a method for predicting the position of towline is presented. The location of the finite node is determined by installing fixed spaced attitude sensors in towline arrays, then the appropriate objective functions are selected for water depth profile and course profile respectively, and the interpolation fitting method is combined with the determined predicted positions. Through the hydrodynamic analysis of the existing towing cable’s underwater motion, the position of the towing cable under the steady state motion is obtained as the reference basis, and two methods are put forward, which are improved spline interpolation method, polynomial fitting method and multivariate nonlinear regression analysis. In the case of steady state motion, the two methods are compared and compared with the hydrodynamic simulation results. 14Research on wavelength conversion of triangular pulses with variable symmetry based on SPM effect显示文摘The generation of periodic triangular waveform with variable symmetrical coefficient based on a dual-parallel Mach-Zehnder modulator(DP-MZM) is demonstrated in this work.By properly setting the modulation index and bias points of DP-MZM,desired symmetric/asymmetric triangular waveforms can be generated.Then applying the generated triangular waveform into an amplitude modulator(AM),a single-period signal can be extracted to explore the optical wavelength conversion induced by the self-phase modulation(SPM) effect in a high nonlinear fiber(HNLF).Wavelength shifts of triangular waveforms with different coefficients(10%,20%,30%,40% and 50%) are calculated.In addition,the influence of key parameters of HNLF on the wavelength conversion is analyzed in detail.YUAN Jin LIU Qisong MEI Ying XU Xiuxiu WANG Yujie BA Xinran 2023Optoelectronics Letters2023,19,8:0
