| 1 | 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). | 2 | PM_(2.5)and water-soluble inorganic ion concentrations decreased faster in urban than rural areas in China显示文摘We investigated variations of PM_(2.5)and water-soluble inorganic ions chemical characteristics at nine urban and rural sites in China using ground-based observations.From 2015 to 2019,mean PM_(2.5)concentration across all sites decreased by 41.9μg/m~3with a decline of 46%at urban sites and 28%at rural sites,where secondary inorganic aerosol(SIAs)contributed to 21%(urban sites)and 17%(rural sites)of the decreased PM_(2.5).SIAs concentrations underwent a decline at urban locations,while sulfate(SO_(4)^(2–)),nitrate(NO_(3)^(–)),and ammonium(NH_(4)^(+))decreased by 49.5%,31.3%and 31.6%,respectively.However,only SO_(4)^(2–)decreased at rural sites,NO_(3)^(–)increased by 21%and NH_(4)^(+)decreased slightly.Those changes contributed to an overall SIAs increase in 2019.Higher molar ratios of NO_(3)^(–)to SO_(4)^(2–)and NH_(4)^(+)to SO_(4)^(2–)were observed at urban sites than rural sites,being highest in the heavily polluted days.Mean molar ratios of NH_(3)/NH_xwere higher in 2019 than 2015 at both urban and rural sites,implying increasing NH_xremained as free NH_(3).Our observations indicated a slower transition from sulfate-driven to nitrate-driven aerosol pollution and less efficient control of NO_(x)than SO_(2)related aerosol formation in rural regions than urban regions.Moreover,the common factor at urban and rural sites appears to be a combination of lower SO_(4)^(2–)levels and an increasing fraction of NO_(3)^(–)to PM_(2.5)under NH_(4)^(+)-rich conditions.Our findings imply that synchronous reduction in NO_(x)and NH_(3)emissions especially rural areas would be effective to mitigate NO_(3)^(–)-driven aerosol pollution. | Yangyang Zhang Aohan Tang Chen Wang Xin Ma Yunzhe Li Wen Xu Xiaoping Xia Aihua Zheng Wenqing Li Zengguo Fang Xiufen Zhao Xianlong Peng Yuping Zhang Jian Han Lijuan Zhang Jeffrey L.Collett Jr Xuejun Liu | 2022 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,12: | 2 |

| 5 | Study of vascular smooth muscle cell calcification induced by hyperphosphate and intervented by phosphonoformic acid显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the effects of different concentrations of phosphate on calcium deposition and osteocalcin level in cultured bovine aortic smooth muscle cell,investigate the mechanism of hyperphosphatemia to evoke calcification of vascular smooth muscle cell and observe the effects of phosphonoformic acid(PFA) in different concentrations on vascular calcification.Methods:The bovine aortic smooth muscle cells(BASMC) were cultured.Calcium deposition and the expression of osteocalcin of BASMC in different concentrations of phosphate(1.5 mmol/L and 2.0 mmol/L) and PFA were determined by o-cresolphthalein complexone and radioimmunity methods,respectively.Osteocalcin mRNA expressions were determined by RT-PCR.Results:After six or nine days of BASMC cultured,the calcium deposition in Pi 2.0 mmol/L group was more than that in Pi 1.5 mmol/L group[(77.187±11.692)μg/(mg·protein) vs(25.768±1.750)μg/(mg·protein),P < 0.01 and(125.399±16.677)μg/(mg·protein) vs(29.046±2.635)μg/(mg·protein),P < 0.01 respectively].The calcium deposition was dependent on time and dosage of phosphate treatment.After 72 h culture the osteocalcin in Pi 2.0 mmol/L group was more than that in Pi 1.5 mmol/L group[in supernatant,(1.503±10-2±2.601×10-3)ng/(μg· protein) vs(2.981×10-3±8.382×10-4)ng/(μg·protein),P < 0.001],the same was found in osteocalcin mRNA expression[OC/GAPDH,(1.906±0.132) vs(0.748±0.037),P < 0.001].Compared to Pi 1.5mmol/L group,bovine smooth muscle cells(BSMC) cultured in media containing Pi 2.0 mmol/L phosphate levels increased calcium deposition[On day 6,(77.187±11.692)μg/(mg·protein) vs(25.768±1.750)μg/(mg·protein),P < 0.001].Elevated phosphate treatment of BSMCs also enhanced the expression of the osteoblastic differentiation marker osteocalcin[On day 3,Pi 2.0 mmol/L group vs Pi 1.5mmol/L group,(1.503×10-2±2.601×10-3)ng/(μg·protein) vs(2.981×10-3±8.382×10-4)ng/(μg·protein),P < 0.001].PFA decreased ciacium deposition and osteocalcin expres-sion statistically[Pi 2.0 mmol/L+PFA1.0 mmol/L group vs Pi 2.0mmol/L group ,ciacium deposition,(37.729±5.899)μg/(mg· protein) vs(77.187±11.692)μg/(mg·protein),P < 0.001];Osteocalcin in supernatant,(4.529±10-3±1.250×10-3)ng/(μg·protein) vs(1.503×10-2±2.601×10-3) ng/(μg·protein),P < 0.001;osteocalcin mRNA expression,OC/GAPDH,(0.642±0.092) vs(1.89±0.165),P < 0.01].Conclusion:Hyperphosphate may directly promote calcium deposition and the osteocalcin expression of BASMCs.It may be a new explanation for the phenomenon of vascular calcification in hyperphosphatemic conditions.Hyperphosphatemia is an independent factor to stimulate vascular calcification.PFA can inhibit calcium deposition and osteocalcin expression induced by elevated phosphate.PFA may be a new medicine to treat vascular calcification induced by elevated phosphate. | Weiping Lu Xiaoyun Wang Xiufen Zhao | 2007 | Journal of Nanjing Medical University2007,21,6: | 1 |

| 7 | Dynamic Host Immune and Transcriptomic Responses to Respiratory Syncytial Virus Infection in a Vaccination-Challenge Mouse Model显示文摘Respiratory syncytial virus(RSV) is the major cause of lower respiratory tract infections in children. Inactivated RSV vaccine was developed in the late 1960’s, but the vaccine-enhanced disease(VED) occurred to vaccinated infants upon subsequent natural RSV infection. The excessive inflammatory immunopathology in the lungs might be involved in the VED, but the underlying mechanisms remain not fully understood. In this study, we utilized UV-inactivated RSV in the prime/boost approach followed by RSV challenge in BALB/c mice to mimic RSV VED. The dynamic virus load,cytokines, histology and transcriptome profiles in lung tissues of mice were investigated from day 1 to day 6 post-infection.Compared to PBS-treated mice, UV-RSV vaccination leads to a Th2 type inflammatory response characterized by enhanced histopathology, reduced Treg cells and increased IL4^(+)CD4 T cells in the lung. Enhanced production of several Th2 type cytokines(IL-4, IL-5, IL-10) and TGF-b, reduction of IL-6 and IL-17 were observed in UV-RSV vaccinated mice. A total of 5582 differentially expressed(DE) genes between PBS-treated or vaccinated mice and na?ve mice were identified by RNA-Seq. Eleven conserved high-influential modules(HMs) were recognized, majorly grouped into regulatory networks related to cell cycle and cell metabolism, signal transduction, immune and inflammatory responses. At an early time post-infection, the vaccinated mice showed obvious decreased expression patterns of DE genes in 11 HMs compared to PBS-treated mice. The extracellular matrix(HM5) and immune responses(HM8) revealed tremendous differences in expression and regulation characteristics of transcripts between PBS-treated and vaccinated mice at both early and late time points. | 10 | Influences of Synthesis Conditions on the Formation of Methotrexate Intercalated Layered Double Hydroxides by Exfoliation-reassembly Route显示文摘The intercalation of methotrexate(MTX) into layered double hydroxides(LDHs) via an exfoliation-reassembly process was performed and the resulting hybrids were then characterized by X-ray difEractiometry( XRD), Fourier transform infrared(FTIR) spectroscopy, thermogravimetry(TG) and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC), etc. In the synthesis procedure, LDHs particles were firstly delaminated, and the reassembly process was performed to get MTX intercalated LDH(MTX/LDHs) hybrids. Tlie reassembly conditions, such as reassembly time and diflerent reassembly solvent, were studied emphatically. It was fbimd that 20 min is the optimum time and formamide is the most suitable solvent in the reassembly process. At last, the controlled release property and the drug-loading capacity were examined emphatically to reveal that MTX/LDHs hybrids reassembled in fomiamide exhibit the highest drug-loading capacity. | 11 | Value-added Tax and Leverage:Evidence from China's Value-added Tax Rate Reform显示文摘This paper uses China's value-added tax(VAT)rate reform as a quasi-natural experiment to identify the impacts of VAT rate shocks on corporate financial leverage.The results indicate that the reform reduced corporate total leverage significantly.There was a decrease in short-term leverage,but long-term leverage showed no significant change.These results remained robust across a series of robustness checks.Mechanism analysis shows that increasing profitability and improving cash flows acted as intermediary channels for the reform's impact on leverage.The reform also contributed to the mitigation of the asset–liability mismatch problem and the reduction of debt risk,while having no apparent impact on corporate investments.Finally,enterprises with more elastic demand and those with lower intermediate input ratios were affected most by the deleveraging effect of the VAT rate reform.This study suggests how the VAT rate cut shaped corporate capital structure.It thus helps to explain the economic consequences of VAT rate shocks. | Hongsheng Fang Lexin Zhao Xiufen Liu | 2024 | China & World Economy2024,32,2: | 0 |
