1The effects of EGR and ignition timing on emissions of GDI engine显示文摘The effects of EGR and ignition timing on engine emissions and combustion were studied through an experiment carried out on an air-guided GDI engine.The test results showed that the ignition timing significantly affected the GDI engine emissions,that the NOx emissions significantly reduced when the ignition timing was retarded,and that NOx emissions decreased with the EGR level increasement.A higher EGR rate could reduce CO emissions while the CO emissions were less affected by the ignition timing.The HC emissions decreased at a lower EGR rate.At 2500 r/min,an appropriate EGR rate could cut down CO emissions.The exhaust gas temperature could significantly decrease with improving the EGR rate,and the exhaust gas temperature at 2500 r/min was clearly higher than that at 1850 r/min.The nucleation mode particles increased clearly,the accumulation mode particle number decreased gradually with the increase of EGR rate,and the typical particle size of nucleation mode particle was in the range of 10–25 nm.ZHAO LiFeng YU XiuMin QIAN DingChao DONG Wei SUN Ping HE Ling YANG Song 2013Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,12:5

3Modeling Regional and Local-scale Permafrost Distribution in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau Using Equivalent-elevation Method显示文摘This study proposes an equivalent-elevation method to evaluate the integrated effects of latitude and elevation on regional and local-scale permafrost distribution in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau,and to model the general permafrost-distribution patterns in regional and local-scale area.It is found that the Gaussian curve―an empirical model describing the relation between variations of altitudinal permafrost lower limit (PLL) and latitude in the Northern Hemisphere―could be applied in regional-and local-scale areas in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in a latitude-sensitive interval of 30°-50°N.The curve was then used to evaluate the latitudinal effect on permafrost distribution through transforming the latitudinal effect into a kind of altitudinal difference of PLL.This study then calculated the local equivalent-elevation value by overlaying the altitudinal difference of PLL onto real elevation at a certain location.The equivalent-elevation method was verified in an experimental subwatershed of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.However,feasibility of the method should be further tested in order to extend for future studies.The use of equivalent-elevation values can build a platform for comparing the regional general permafrost distribution in the plateau,and for basing further evaluations of local factors' effects on regional permafrost distribution.LI Jing SHENG Yu WU Jichun WANG Jie ZHANG Bo YE Baisheng ZHANG Xiumin QIN Xiang 2012Chinese Geographical Science2012,22,3:3
4AVP(4-8) Improves Cognitive Behaviors and Hippocampal Synaptic Plasticity in the APP/PS1 Mouse Model of Alzheimer’s Disease显示文摘Memory deficits with aging are related to the neurodegeneration in the brain, including a reduction in arginine vasopressin(AVP) in the brain of patients with Alzheimer’s disease(AD). AVP(4-8), different from its precursor AVP, plays memory enhancement roles in the CNS without peripheral side-effects. However, it is not clear whether AVP(4-8) can improve cognitive behaviors and synaptic plasticity in the APP/PS1 mouse model of AD. Here, we investigated for the first time the neuroprotective effects of AVP(4-8) on memory behaviors and in vivo long-term potentiation(LTP) in APP/PS1-AD mice.The results showed that:(1) APP/PS1-AD mice had lower spontaneous alternation in the Y-maze than wild-type(WT) mice, and this was significantly reversed by AVP(4-8);(2) the prolonged escape latency of APP/PS1-AD mice in the Morris water maze was significantly decreased by AVP(4-8), and the decreased swimming time in target quadrant recovered significantly after AVP(4-8) treatment;(3) in vivo hippocampal LTP induced by high-frequency stimulation had a significant deficit in the AD mice, and this was partly rescued by AVP(4-8);(4) AVP(4-8)significantly up-regulated the expression levels of postsynaptic density 95(PSD95) and nerve growth factor(NGF)in the hippocampus of AD mice. 11Significance of β-tubulin Expression in Breast Premalignant Lesions and Carcinomas显示文摘OBJECTIVE To explore the expression of β-tubulin in premalignant lesions and carcinomas of the breast,and to observe the relationship of its expression with breast cancer pathological features. METHODS The expression of β-tubulin was detected immunohistochemically in 50 specimens of premalignant lesions of the breast(ADH and Peri-PM with ADH),50 specimens of breast in situ ductal carcinomas(DCIS),and 50 specimens of invasive ductal carcinomas(IDC).Thirty specimens of normal breast tissues served as a control group. RESULTS Immunohistochemical analysis showed that:the differences among the 4 groups(normal breast tissues,breast premalignant lesions,DCIS and IDC,P<0.05)were significant, and there were also statistically significant differences between any 2 groups(P<0.05)except for the β-tubulin positive expression comparing DCIS versus IDC(P>0.05).In addition,β-tubulin was expressed at a higher level in Peri-PM with ADH compared to ADH(P<0.05).Following the degree of breast epithelial hyperplasia involved,and its development into carcinoma,the β-tubulin positive expression displayed an elevating tendency. We also found a significant positive relationship of β-tubulin expression with lymph node metastasis(P<0.05),but no significant correlation with histological grading and nuclear grade. 12Differentially expressed whey proteins of donkey and bovine colostrum revealed with a label-free proteomics approach显示文摘This study aimed to analyze and compare the differentially expressed whey proteins(DEWPs)of donkey and bovine colostrum using high-performance liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry-based proteomics.A total of 620 and 696 whey proteins were characterized in the donkey and bovine colostrum,respectively,including 383 common whey proteins.Among these common proteins,80 were identified as DEWPs,including 21 upregulated and 59 downregulated DEWPs in donkey colostrum compared to bovine colostrum.Gene Ontology analysis revealed that these DEWPs were mainly related to cellular components,such as extracellular exosome,plasma membrane,and mitochondrion;biological processes,such as oxidation-reduction process,cell-cell adhesion,and small guanosine triphosphate(GTP)ase-mediated signal transduction;and molecular functions,such as GTP binding,GTPase activity,and soluble N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor(NSF)attachment protein receptor activity.Metabolic pathway analysis suggested that the majority of the DEWPs were associated with soluble NSF factor attachment protein receptor interactions in vesicular transport,fatty acid biosynthesis,and estrogen signaling pathways.Our results provide a vital insight into the differences between donkey and bovine colostrum,along with important information on the significant components as nutritional and functional factors to be included in infant formula based on multiple milk sources.Mohan Li Qilong Li Haikun Yu Xiumin Zhang Dehao Li Wanying Song Yan Zheng Xiqing Yue 2023Food Science and Human Wellness2023,12,4:0
13Performance Development Target Setting of Passenger Car Diesel Engine显示文摘Setting engine emission targets to meet diesel car requirements is particularly important in engine performance development phase. Many researches are focused on associating vehicle performance with engine targets, but most work is done by testing, which is time and cost consuming, furthermore, the relationship of vehicle and engine will change when either engine or vehicle changes. A GT-Drive model to simulate New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) for passenger car is developed and calibrated by testing data, model precision is controlled within 5%. Time distribution of engine operating conditions when car running NEDC cycle has been analyzed, 10 critical major engine operating points are summarized according to running time proportion. Emission of NOx and smoke control regions containing these 10 points for target engine are set. Vehicle emissions are simulated and evaluated during engine development after engine performance test data are got, and engine combustion system layout and calibration are adjusted until vehicle targets are met. Vehicle is tested in chassis dynamometer finally, the testing results show a good agreement with the simulated results with an error of less than 5%, which proves that the emission value exchange of vehicle and engine is reliable. 15Preliminary Study on the Expression and the Significance of S-Phase Kinase Associated Protein 2 in Atypical Ductal Hyperplasia and Breast Cancer显示文摘OBJECTIVE To explore the relationship of high S-phase kinase associ- ated protein 2 (Skp2) expression with the characteristics of breast cancer. METHODS Using a immunohistochemical method, Skp2 expression was detected and evaluated in 30 normal tissues, 30 atypical ductal hy- perplasias (ADH), 30 ductal carcinomas in situ (DCIS) and 56 invasive carcinomas (including invasive specific carcinoma and invasive nonspe- cific carcinoma). The relationship between Skp2 expression and the characteristics of breast cancer was analyzed. RESULTS Skp2 expression varied among normal tissue, ADH, DCIS and invasive carcinomas (χ2=54.02, P<0.005). The positive level of Skp2 ex- pression in DCIS was higher than that of normal tissue (χ2=21.82, P< 0.005) and there was a significant difference in Skp2 between DCIS and ADH (χ2=5.08, P<0.025) as well as between invasive carcinomas and DCIS (χ2=6.52, P<0.01). The positive expression level of Skp2 in invasive carcinomas with positive lymph nodes was remarkably higher compared to those with negative lymph nodes. A significant difference in Skp2 ex- pression was found between combined histological Grades I and II ver- sus Grade III of invasive carcinomas (χ2=6.66, P<0.01). 16Main Components and Antioxidant Activity of Callisia repens Extracts显示文摘To study the main active components and antioxidant activity in vitro of extracts from Callisia repens , the contents of main active components such as total flavonoids, total anthocyanin and total sugar in the extracts were studied by spectrophotometry. The components and content of 18 kinds of metals were determined by ICP-MS mass spectrometry. Finally, the oxidative activity of the extract was evaluated by spectrophotometry. Results showed that the content of flavonoids, the total protein, the total sugar and the total anthocyanin in C. repens extract powder were 2.04%, 1.83%, 55.2% and 7.2%, respectively. Beneficial trace elements such as Ca, Mn, Mg in C. repens extracts were higher, while harmful heavy metals such as Pb, Hg, Ag, Co, Ge were very tiny or not detected at all. The IC 50 of C. repens was 0.265 mg/mL for scavenging DPPH·, and 1.16 mg/mL for scavenging ·OH free radical, the total reducing power of 1 mg extract was equivalent to that of 39 μg of Vc, and the extract showed no regular chelating power to ferrous ions. In conclusion, C. repens extracts have high content of natural active components, but extremely low content of the harmful heavy metals, and C. repens extract has good antioxidant capacity. Its antioxidant activity is realized by a variety of active factors through a synergistic mechanism. 20Clonal Analysis of Peripheral Papilloma and Cancerous Cells of the Breast显示文摘OBJECTIVE Because almost al malignancies represent monoclonal proliferations,we have studied the clonal status of peripheral papil omas (peri-PM),ductal carcinomas in situ(DCIS),and normal breast tissues to explore a reliable way to distinguish benign and malignant(or pre-malignant) cases previously diagnosed morphologically. METHODS Twenty-six cases of peri-PM,25 cases of peri-PM with atypical ductal hyperplasia(ADH),27 cases of DCIS,16 cases of developed canceration and 20 specimens of normal tissue were examined in the study.The clonal status of these tissues was studied using an assay based on inactivation mosaicism of the lenth-polymorphic X-chromosomes at the androgen receptor(AR)locus. RESULTS Loss of polymorphism at the AR locus was found in all DCIS cases and 10 cases(10/25,40.0%)of peri-PM with ADH,indicating the monoclonality of the tumors.Twenty-four out of 26(92.3%)cases with peri-PM and 19 specimens of normal tissue were shown to be polyclonal.In 16 cases of developed canceration,identical X chromosome inactivation(monoclonal alterations)was observed from both the peri-PM with ADH part,and the DCIS part in each case.
