2Airworthiness Compliance Verification Method Based on Simulation of Complex System显示文摘A study is conducted on a new airworthiness compliance verification method based on pilot-aircraft-environment complex system simulation. Verification scenarios are established by 'block diagram' method based on airworthiness criteria. A pilotaircraft-environment complex model is set up and a virtual flight testing method based on connection of MATLAB/Simulink and Flightgear is proposed. Special researches are conducted on the modeling of pilot manipulation stochastic parameters and manipulation in critical situation. Unfavorable flight factors of certain scenario are analyzed, and reliability modeling of important system is researched. A distribution function of small probability event and the theory on risk probability measurement are studied. Nonlinear function is used to depict the relationship between the cumulative probability and the extremum of the critical parameter. A synthetic evaluation model is set up, modified genetic algorithm (MGA) is applied to ascertaining the distribution parameter in the model, and a more reasonable result is obtained. 3Sustaining enhanced condensation on hierarchical mesh-covered surfaces显示文摘Controlling the solid–liquid–vapor tri-phase interface is of fundamental importance for a broad range of industrial applications including biomedical engineering, energy production and utilization, environmental control, water production, and thermal management. Although a lot of progress has been made over the past few decades on surface manipulation for promoting droplet removal, it is challenging to accelerate both droplet growth and surface refreshing for enhancing vapor-to-liquid condensation. Here we present a superhydrophobic hierarchical mesh-covered(hi-mesh) surface to enable continuous sucking flow of liquid condensate, which achieves fourfold-higher droplet growth and 36.8% faster surface refreshing compared to the state-of-the-art dropwise condensation. Unprecedented enhanced condensation heat transfer is observed to be sustained over a wide range of surface subcooling on the hi-mesh surfaces. 4Safety modeling and simulation of multi-factor coupling heavy-equipment airdrop显示文摘Heavy-equipment airdrop is a highly risky procedure that has a complicated system due to the secluded and complex nature of factors' coupling. As a result, it is difficult to study the modeling and safety simulation of this system. The dynamic model of the heavy-equipment airdrop is based on the Lagrange analytical mechanics, which has all the degrees of freedom and can accurately pinpoint the real-time coordinates and attitude of the carrier with its cargo. Unfavorable conditions accounted in the factors' models, including aircraft malfunctions and adverse environments, are established from a man-machine-environment perspective. Subsequently, a virtual simulation system for the safety research of the multi-factor coupling heavy-equipment airdrop is developed through MATLAB/Simulink, C language and Flightgear software. To verify the veracity of the theory, the verification model is built based on dynamic software ADAMS. 5Effect of solid-solution temperature on the microstructure of Fe-Ni based high strength low thermal expansion (HSLTE) alloy显示文摘The influence of solid-solution temperature on the dissolution of carbide precipitates, the average grain size and the micro- hardness of the austenite matrix in an Fe-Ni based high strength low thermal expansion (HSLTE) alloy was investigated to obtain the proper temperature range of the solid-solution process. The XRD analysis, microstructure observations, and the theoretical calculations showed that the Mo-rich M2C-type precipitates in the Fe-Ni based HSLTE alloy dissolve completely at about 1100°C. The average grain size of the studied alloys increases from 14 to 46 μm in the temperature range of 1050 to 1200°C. 7A Deep Reinforcement Learning Algorithm for the Power Order Optimization Allocation of AGC in Interconnected Power Grids显示文摘The integration of distributed generations(solar power,wind power),energy storage devices,and electric vehicles,causes unpredictable disturbances in power grids.It has become a top priority to coordinate the distributed generations,loads,and energy storages in order to better facilitate the utilization of new energy.Therefore,a novel algorithm based on deep reinforcement learning,namely the deep PDWoLF-PHC(policy dynamics based win or learn fast-policy hill climbing)network(DPDPN),is proposed to allocate power order among the various generators.The proposed algorithm combines the decision mechanism of reinforcement learning with the prediction mechanism of a deep neural network to obtain the optimal coordinated control for the source-grid-load.Consequently it solves the problem brought by stochastic disturbances and improves the utilization rate of new energy.Simulations are conducted with the case of the improved IEEE two-area and a case in the Guangdong power grid.Results show that the adaptability and control performance of the power system are improved using the proposed algorithm as compared with using other existing strategies.Lei Xi Lipeng Zhou Lang Liu Dongliang Duan Yanchun Xu Liuqing Yang Shouxiang Wang 2020CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2020,6,3:4
8Numerical study of flow pattern modulation in a vertical phase separation condenser tube显示文摘The passive phase separation concept was proposed to modulate flow patterns for heat transfer enhancement. By the flow pattern modulation, the gas tends to be near the wall and the liquid tends to be in the tube core. Experiment has been performed to verify the fresh idea and the flow pattern modulation mechanism was analyzed qualitatively. This paper focuses on the numerical simulation of the bubble dynamics for a single bubble in the vertical phase separation condenser tube to quantitatively explore the flow pattern mechanism, based on a multiscale grid system and the volume-of-fluid (VOF) method. It is found that: (1) the modulated liquid film thickness can be decreased by 70% compared to that in the bare tube region; (2) the modulated bubble traveling velocity can be doubled, causing the increased liquid velocity and velocity gradient in the annular region to weaken the fluid boundary layer; (3) the significantly increased bubble traveling velocity in the annular region promotes the mass and momentum exchange between the annular region and the core region, and yields the self-sustained pulsating flow in the core region. 9Electrochemical Hydrogen Storage Performances of the Si Added La-Mg-Ni-based A_2B_7-type Electrode Alloys for Ni/MH Battery Application显示文摘The casting and annealing technologies were applied to fabricate the La0.8Mg0.2Ni3.3Co0.2Six(x = 0-0.2) electrode alloys. The effects of Si content and annealing temperature on the structure and electrochemical performances of the alloys were investigated systematically. The analyses of XRD and SEM show that all the alloys possess a multiphase structure, involving two main phases(La, Mg)2Ni7 and La Ni5 as well as a residual phase La Ni3. The addition of Si brings on an evident increase in the La Ni5 phase and a decrease in the(La, Mg)2Ni7 phase, without altering the main phase component of the alloy, which also makes the lattice constants and cell volumes of the alloy enlarged. Likewise, the annealing treatment engenders the same action on the lattice constants and cell volumes as adding Si. Simultaneously, it gives rise to the variation of the phase abundance and the coarsening of the alloy grains. The electrochemical measurements indicate that the addition of Si ameliorates the cycle stability of the as-cast and annealed alloys significantly, but impairs their discharge capacities clearly. Similarly, the annealing treatment makes a positive contribution to the cycle stability of the alloy evidently, and the discharge capacity of the alloy shows a maximum value with annealing temperature rising. 10Decomposition of mixed rare earth concentrate by NaOH roasting and kinetics of hydrochloric acid leaching process显示文摘A new clean extraction technology for the decomposition of Bayan Obo mixed rare earth concentrate by NaOH roasting is proposed.The process mainly includes NaOH roasting to decompose rare earth concentrate and HCl leaching roasted ore.The effects of roasting temperature,roasting time,NaOH addition amount on the extraction of rare earth and factors such as HCl concentration,liquid-solid ratio,leaching temperature and leaching time on the dissolution kinetics of roasted ore were studied.The experimental results show that when the roasting temperature is 550℃and the roasting time is 60 min,the mass ratio of NaOH:rare earth concentrate is 0.60:1,the concentration of HCl is 6.0 mol/L,the ratio of liquid to solid(L/S)6.0:1.0,and the leaching temperature 90℃,leaching time 45 min,stirring speed 200 r/min,and the extraction of rare earth can reach 92.5%.The relevant experimental data show that the process of HCl leaching roasted ore conforms to the shrinking core model,but the control mechanism of the che mical reaction process is different when the leaching temperature is different.When the leaching temperature is between 40 and 70℃,the chemical reaction process is controlled by the diffusion of the product through the residual layer of the inert material.The average surface activation energy of the rare earth element is E_a=9.96 kJ/mol.When the leaching temperature is 75-90℃,the chemical reaction process is controlled by the interface transfer across the product layer(product layer interface mass transfer)and diffusion.The average surface activation energy of rare earth elements is E_a=41.65 kJ/mol.The results of this study have certain significance for the green extraction of mixed rare earth ore.Mei Li Jianfei Li Dongliang Zhang Kai Gao Huihui Wang Wei Xu Jinlong Geng Xiaoyan Zhang Xiufen Ma 2020Journal of Rare Earths2020,38,9:2
11Tocilizumab in patients with moderate or severe COVID-19: a randomized, controlled, open-label, multicenter trial显示文摘Tocilizumab has been reported to attenuate the“cytokine storm”in COVID-19 patients.We attempted to verify the effectiveness and safety of tocilizumab therapy in COVID-19 and identify patients most likely to benefit from this treatment.We conducted a randomized,controlled,open-label multicenter trial among COVID-19 patients.The patients were randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to receive either tocilizumab in addition to standard care or standard care alone.The cure rate,changes of oxygen saturation and interference,and inflammation biomarkers were observed.Thirty-three patients were randomized to the tocilizumab group,and 32 patients to the control group.The cure rate in the tocilizumab group was higher than that in the control group,but the difference was not statistically significant(94.12%vs.87.10%,rate difference 95%CI−7.19%–21.23%,P=0.4133).The improvement in hypoxia for the tocilizumab group was higher from day 4 onward and statistically significant from day 12(P=0.0359).In moderate disease patients with bilateral pulmonary lesions,the hypoxia ameliorated earlier after tocilizumab treatment,and less patients(1/12,8.33%)needed an increase of inhaled oxygen concentration compared with the controls(4/6,66.67%;rate difference 95%CI−99.17%to−17.50%,P=0.0217).No severe adverse events occurred.More mild temporary adverse events were recorded in tocilizumab recipients(20/34,58.82%)than the controls(4/31,12.90%).Tocilizumab can improve hypoxia without unacceptable side effect profile and significant influences on the time virus load becomes negative.For patients with bilateral pulmonary lesions and elevated IL-6 levels,tocilizumab could be recommended to improve outcome.Dongsheng Wang Binqing Fu Zhen Peng Dongliang Yang Mingfeng Han Min Li Yun Yang Tianjun Yang Liangye Sun Wei Li Wei Shi Xin Yao Yan Ma Fei Xu Xiaojing Wang Jun Chen Daqing Xia Yubei Sun Lin Dong Jumei Wang Xiaoyu Zhu Min Zhang Yonggang Zhou Aijun Pan Xiaowen Hu Xiaodong Mei Haiming Wei Xiaoling Xu 2021Frontiers of Medicine2021,15,3:2
12Multi-Candidate Voting Model Based on Blockchain显示文摘Electronic voting has partially solved the problems of poor anonymity and low efficiency associated with traditional voting.However,the difficulties it introduces into the supervision of the vote counting,as well as its need for a concurrent guaranteed trusted third party,should not be overlooked.With the advent of blockchain technology in recent years,its features such as decentralization,anonymity,and non-tampering have made it a good candidate in solving the problems that electronic voting faces.In this study,we propose a multi-candidate voting model based on the blockchain technology.With the introduction of an asymmetric encryption and an anonymity-preserving voting algorithm,votes can be counted without relying on a third party,and the voting results can be displayed in real time in a manner that satisfies various levels of voting security and privacy requirements.Experimental results show that the proposed model solves the aforementioned problems of electronic voting without significant negative impact from an increasing number of voters or candidates.Dongliang Xu Wei Shi Wensheng Zhai Zhihong Tian 2021IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2021,8,12:2
13Energy saving potential of a fresh air pre-cooling system using radiative sky cooling显示文摘To achieve required indoor air quality,fresh air supply in buildings should meet relevant standards and regulations.However,the handling of fresh air introduced a cooling load that takes up a large portion of building energy consumption,especially in tropical and subtropical areas.A proper way should be employed to reduce the cooling load of fresh air.Radiative sky cooling,which is the process that an object cools itself by emitting thermal radiation to outer space without any energy input,is a cost-effective and eco-friendly technology.In this work,a fresh air pre-cooling system using radiative sky cooling is proposed to reduce fresh air cooling load.The system,consisting of filters,a radiative air-cooling system,an air handling unit(AHU),fans,etc.,is installed on the rooftop of the modeled building.Six cities in low-latitude areas are selected and investigated.Results show that with the radiative air-cooling system installed,annual cooling energy consumption of the modeled building can be reduced by around 10%in most cities.For arid areas,e.g.,Abu Dhabi,the system has even better performance with 19.34%annual cooling energy saving.Dikai Xu Sebastien Boncoeur Gang Tan Jingtao Xu Hua Qian Dongliang Zhao 2022Building Simulation2022,15,2:2
14The bubble leakage mechanism for vertical upflows by the phase separation concept显示文摘Recently,our research group proposed the phase separation condenser tube,in which a mesh cylinder was inserted to form the flow structure of‘‘gas near the tube wall and liquid in the tube core’’,significantly enhance the condensation heat transfer.But the bubble leakage towards the core region may worsen the heat transfer enhancement.In order to prevent the bubble leakage,the critical criterion was proposed based on the Young–Laplace equation,considering the inertia force,viscous force and pulsating flow.It was found that the critical criterion depends on the dimensionless parameter G*,the We number and a coefficient C.The numerical model was developed in terms of the volume of fluid method to predict the two-phase laminar flow in the phase separation condenser tube.The results show that the bubble leakage takes place at the bubble tip,which is agreed with the experimental observations.The critical curve distinguishing the non-bubble-breaking and bubble-breaking was obtained by comparing the bubble dynamics at different G*and We.The coefficient C was determined.The critical criterion for the bubble leakage is given as G We0:22We0:99349 G4:7 103 We0:00651t196:39We0:006514cosa DHW,providing the design and operation guidance for the phase separation condenser tube.Qicheng Chen Jinliang Xu Dongliang Sun 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,21:2
15Chemical synthesis and characterization of manganese oxide coated Ni particles显示文摘Nanosized Ni particles with an average diameter of about 8 nm were prepared by reducing of NiCl 2 with sodium borohydride (NaBH 4 ) in aqueous solution. By moderate annealing in protective atmosphere, the composite grew up to be 15-20 nm particles. Both of the as-prepared and annealed Ni particles were coated by a layer of manganese oxide via decomposition reaction in aqueous KMnO4 solution. Hysteresis loops of as-prepared samples show a large increase in the magnetization with decreasing temperature and an unsaturated component at high magnetic field. In contrast, the ferromagnetic characteristics of annealed one are much stronger with large magnetization and coercivity. The thermomagnetic curves verified the coexistence of ferromagnetic Ni and antiferromangetic Mn oxide phases. But there exists no exchange bias behavior in the samples, even though the interface structure between the ferromagnetic Ni core and the antiferromagnetic manganese oxides has been distinctly formed.
