| 1 | Mycorrhizal symbiosis modulates the rhizosphere microbiota to promote rhizobia–legume symbiosis显示文摘Plants establish symbioses with mutualistic fungi,such as arbuscular mycorrhizal(AM)fungi,and bacteria,such as rhizobia,to exchange key nutrients and thrive.Plants and symbionts have coevolved and represent vital components of terrestrial ecosystems.Plants employ an ancestral AM signaling pathway to establish intracellular symbioses,including the legume–rhizobia symbiosis,in their roots.Nevertheless,the relationship between the AM and rhizobial symbioses in native soil is poorly understood.Here,we examined how these distinct symbioses affect root-associated bacterial communities in Medicago truncatula by performing quantitative microbiota profiling(QMP)of 16S rRNA genes.We found that M.truncatula mutants that cannot establish AM or rhizobia symbiosis have an altered microbial load(quantitative abundance)in the rhizosphere and roots,and in particular that AM symbiosis is required to assemble a normal quantitative root-associated microbiota in native soil.Moreover,quantitative microbial co-abundance network analyses revealed that AM symbiosis affects Rhizobiales hubs among plant microbiota and benefits the plant holobiont.Through QMP of rhizobial rpoB and AM fungal SSU rRNA genes,we revealed a new layer of interaction whereby AM symbiosis promotes rhizobia accumulation in the rhizosphere of M.truncatula.We further showed that AM symbiosis-conditioned microbial communities within the M.truncatula rhizosphere could promote nodulation in different legume plants in native soil.Given that the AM and rhizobial symbioses are critical for crop growth,our findings might inform strategies to improve agricultural management.Moreover,our work sheds light on the co-evolution of these intracellular symbioses during plant adaptation to native soil conditions. | Xiaolin Wang Huan Feng Yayu Wang Mingxing Wang Xingguang Xie Huizhong Chang Like Wang Jicheng Qu Kai Sun Wei He Chunyan Wang Chuanchao Dai Zhaohui Chu Changfu Tian Nan Yu Xuebin Zhang Huan Liu Ertao Wang | 2021 | Molecular Plant2021,14,3: | 6 |
| 2 | One-step uniform growth of magnesium hydride nanoparticles on graphene显示文摘A simple solvent-free method to synthesize MgH_2 nanoparticles(MgH_2NPs) uniformly grown on graphene nanosheets(GNs) has been reported in this paper. Based on the formation of MgH_2 by di-n-butylmagnesium((C_4H_9)_2Mg) thermal decomposition under hydrogen pressure, the GNs were added as matrix to hinder the agglomeration and growing of MgH_2NPs. The fabricated MgH_2/GNs nanocomposites, in which MgH_2 NPs were homogenously growing in the graphene matrix, have been synthesized by the favorable adsorption energy between(C_4H_9)_2Mg and GNs. Resulting from the one-step solvent-free route, the generated MgH_2 NPs shows high hydrogen capacity and steady hydriding and dehydriding properties, without the interference of the synthetic medium. At the same time, the size of the fabricated MgH_2NPs can be controlled by adjusting the mass ratio of MgH_2 to graphene, the various hydrogen pressure and temperature. | 6 | Influence of Allele Frequency on Predicting Animal Phenotype Using Back-Propagation Artificial Neural Networks显示文摘To overcome the obstacle of the fascinating relation in predicting animal phenotype value, we have developed a neural network model to detect the complex non-linear relationships between the genotypes and phenotypes and the possible interactions that cannot be expressed with equations. In this paper, back-propagation neural network is used to discuss the influences of different allele frequencies on estimating the polygenic phenotype value. To ensure the precision of prediction, normalization was needed to train the prediction model. | 9 | A balance between catalysis and nanoconfinement towards enhanced hydrogen storage performance of NaAlH_(4)显示文摘Owing to its favorable thermodynamics and high density,NaAlH_(4) has been widely regarded as a potential hydrogen storage material,but its practical application is hindered by the sluggish kinetics,high operating temperature and poor cycling stability.Here,taking advantage of Co-doped nanoporous carbon scaffolds as structural host,we develop a new strategy to balance the synergistic effect between the catalytic role of Co nanoparticles and the nanoconfinement role of porous carbon scaffolds via the controllable etching of Co nanoparticles towards enhanced hydrogen storage performance of NaAlH_(4).The etching of Co nanoparticles creates extra void spaces nearby catalytically active Co nanoparticles,which not only exerts the catalytic effect of Co nanoparticles,but also improves the nanoconfinement role in maintaining the cycling stability towards increased loading ratio and hence high systematic capacity.Induced by this balanced synergistic effect,the peak temperature for the dehydrogenation of NaAlH_(4) could be reduced to 164°C,97°C lower than the bulk counterpart,even under an ultrahigh loading ratio of 67%,and more importantly,the reversible systematic hydrogen storage capacity could still reach 3.3 wt.%after 5 cycles.This work opens up a new avenue to improve the hydrogen storage performance of various complex hydrides. | Wei Chen Lei You Guanglin Xia Xuebin Yu | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,20: | 1 |
| 10 | Magnesium hydride nanoparticles anchored on MXene sheets as high capacity anode for lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Magnesium hydride, with high specific capacity, favorable voltage profile and low voltage hysteresis properties, is regarded as a promising anode for lithium storage. However, the rapid fading of capacity caused by huge volume change, low electron/ion conduction, and spontaneous agglomeration of active materials during cycling greatly limit its practical application in lithium-ion batteries. Herein, we report the synthesis of monodisperse MgH2 nanoparticles with an average particle size of <20 nm homogeneously anchored on Ti3C2 MXene sheets by bottom-up self-assembly strategy. The unique nanoarchitectures are able to efficiently enhance the lithium insertion/extraction kinetics, accelerate the electron/lithium ion transfer and buffer the strain of volume changes. More importantly, the formed F–Mg bounding between MgH2 and MXene could avoid the shedding of MgH2 nanoparticles to electrolyte during cycling, which significantly enhance the capacity, cyclability, and rate performance of magnesium hydride. Moreover, due to the high density of MXene and the synergistic effect between the MgH2 and MXene matrix, the MgH2/MXene composite with 60 wt% MgH2 delivers a superior volumetric capacity of 1092.9 mAh cm−3 at a current density of 2000 mA g^(−1) after 1000 cycles. | 20 | TiO_(2)@C catalyzed hydrogen storage performance of Mg-Ni-Y alloy with LPSO and ternary eutectic structure显示文摘A designed Mg_(88.7)Ni_(6.3)Y_(5)hydrogen storage alloy containing 14H type LPSO(long-period stacking ordered)and ternary eutectic structure was prepared by regulating the alloy composition and casting.The hydrogen storage performance of the alloy was improved by adding nano-flower-like TiO_(2)@C catalyst.The decomposition of the LPSO structure during hydrogenation led to the formation of plenty of nanocrystals which provided abundant interphase boundaries and activation sites.The nanoscale TiO_(2)@C catalyst was uniformly dispersed on the surface of alloy particles,and the'hydrogen overflow''effect of TiO_(2)@C accelerated the dissociation and diffusion of hydrogen on the surface of the alloy particles.As a result,the in-situ endogenous nanocrystals of the LPSO structure decomposition and the externally added flower-like TiO_(2)@C catalyst uniformly dispersed on the surface of the nanoparticles played a synergistic catalytic role in improving the hydrogen storage performance of the Mg-based alloy.With the addition of the TiO_(2)@C catalyst,the beginning hydrogen desorption temperature was reduced to 200℃.Furthermore,the saturated hydrogen absorption capacity of the sample was 5.32 wt.%,and it reached 4.25 wt.%H_(2) in 1 min at 200℃and 30 bar. | Wenjie Song Wenhao Ma Shuai He Wei Chen Jianghua Shen Dalin Sun Qiuming Wei Xuebin Yu | 2024 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2024,12,2: | 0 |
