2Theoretical and Applied Mechanics Letters显示文摘The placement of pressure taps on the surface of the wind tunnel test model is an important means toobtain the surface pressure distribution.However,limited by space location and experimental cost,it isdifficult to arrange enough pressure measuring taps on the surface of complex models to obtain completepressure distribution information,thus it is impossible to obtain accurate lift and moment characteristicsthrough integration.The paper proposes a refined reconstruction method of airfoil surface pressure basedon compressed sensing,which can reconstruct the pressure distribution with high precision with lesspressure measurement data.Tests on typical airfoil subsonic flow around flow show that the accuracyof lift and moment after the pressure integration reconstructed by 4-8 measuring points can meet therequirements of the national military standard.The algorithm is robust to noise,and provides a new ideafor obtaining accurate force data from sparse surface pressure tests in engineering.Xuan Zhao Lin Du Xuhao Peng Zichen Deng Weiwei Zhang 2021Theoretical & Applied Mechanics Letters2021,11,2:2
3Cost-benefit and discriminant validity of a stepwise dementia case-finding approach in an Asian older adult community显示文摘Background Case-finding is a recommended approach for dementia early detection in the community.Aims To investigate the discriminant validity and cost-effectiveness of a stepwise dementia case-finding approach in a Singaporean older adult community.Methods The two-phase study was conducted in the community from 2009 to 2015 in Singapore.A total of 3780 participants(age≥60 years)completed phase I(a brief cognitive screening);918 completed phase II and were included in the final analysis.In phase I,all participants were administered the Abbreviated Mental Test(AMT)and the Progressive Forgetfulness Question(PFQ).Those who screened positive on either test were invited to phase II,whereby the Mini-Mental State Examination(MMSE),Montreal Cognitive Assessment(MoCA)and a formal neuropsychological battery were administered,followed by the research diagnosis of no cognitive impairment,cognitive impairment no dementia(CIND)-Mild(≤2 impaired cognitive domains),CIND-Moderate(>2 impaired domains)or dementia.Receiver operating characteristic curve analyses were conducted for the different cognitive instruments.All discriminant indices were calculated,including sensitivity,specificity,positive and negative predictive values(NPV)and accuracy.Cost-effectiveness analysis was conducted by estimating the amount of screening time needed and the number of older adults requiring re-evaluation in two case-finding scenarios,ie,with or without preselection by the PFQ.Results The stepwise case-finding approach(preselection by the PFQ,then MMSE or MoCA or AMT)showed an excellent NPV(>99%)and accuracy(>86%)for excluding dementia-free cases.Without preselection by the PFQ,screening time for the three cognitive tools were 317.5,317.5 and 254 hours,with 159,302 and 175 screen-positive older adults involved in further evaluation.By adopting the stepwise case-finding approach,total screening time were 156.5,156.5 and 126.2 hours,which decreased by 50.7%,50.7% and 50.3% as compared with those without preselection.Furthermore,after preselection,only 98,167 and 145 screen-positive older adults required further evaluation,corresponding to a reduction of 38.4%,44.7% and 17.1% in the numbers compared with those without preselection.Conclusions A stepwise approach for dementia case-finding should be implemented in the community to minimise the time and resources needed for large-scale early detection of dementia.Ting Pang Binte Xia Xuhao Zhao Yaping Zhang Cheuk Ni Kan Saima Hilal Christopher Chen Narayanaswamy Venketasubramanian Tien Yin Wong Ching-YuCheng Changzheng Yuan Xin Xu 2023General Psychiatry2023,36,5:0
4Advances in high-performance MEMS pressure sensors:design,fabrication,and packaging显示文摘Pressure sensors play a vital role in aerospace,automotive,medical,and consumer electronics.Although microelectromechanical system(MEMS)-based pressure sensors have been widely used for decades,new trends in pressure sensors,including higher sensitivity,higher accuracy,better multifunctionality,smaller chip size,and smaller package size,have recently emerged.The demand for performance upgradation has led to breakthroughs in sensor materials,design,fabrication,and packaging methods,which have emerged frequently in recent decades.This paper reviews common new trends in MEMS pressure sensors,including minute differential pressure sensors(MDPSs),resonant pressure sensors(RPSs),integrated pressure sensors,miniaturized pressure chips,and leadless pressure sensors.To realize an extremely sensitive MDPS with broad application potential,including in medical ventilators and fire residual pressure monitors,the“beam-membrane-island”sensor design exhibits the best performance of 66μV/V/kPa with a natural frequency of 11.3 kHz.In high-accuracy applications,silicon and quartz RPS are analyzed,and both materials show±0.01%FS accuracy with respect to varying temperature coefficient of frequency(TCF)control methods.To improve MEMS sensor integration,different integrated“pressure+x”sensor designs and fabrication methods are compared.In this realm,the intercoupling effect still requires further investigation.Typical fabrication methods for microsized pressure sensor chips are also reviewed.To date,the chip thickness size can be controlled to be<0.1 mm,which is advantageous for implant sensors.Furthermore,a leadless pressure sensor was analyzed,offering an extremely small package size and harsh environmental compatibility.This review is structured as follows.The background of pressure sensors is first presented.Then,an in-depth introduction to MEMS pressure sensors based on different application scenarios is provided.Additionally,their respective characteristics and significant advancements are analyzed and summarized.Finally,development trends of MEMS pressure sensors in different fields are analyzed.Xiangguang Han Mimi Huang Zutang Wu Yi Gao Yong Xia Ping Yang Shu Fan Xuhao Lu Xiaokai Yang Lin Liang Wenbi Su Lu Wang Zeyu Cui Yihe Zhao Zhikang Li Libo Zhao Zhuangde Jiang 2023Microsystems & Nanoengineering2023,9,6:0
