Metal chalcogenides for potassium storage显示文摘Potassium-based energy storage technologies, especially potassium ion batteries(PIBs),have received great interest over the past decade.A pivotal challenge facing high-performance PIBs is to identify advanced electrode materials that can store the large-radius K+ions,as well as to tailor the various thermodynamic parameters.Metal chalcogenides are one of the most promising anode materials, having a high theoretical specific capacity, high in-plane electrical conductivity, and relatively small volume change on charge/discharge.However,the development of metal chalcogenides for PIBs is still in its infancy because of the limited choice of high-performance electrode materials. However, numerous efforts have been made to conquer this challenge. In this article,we overview potassium storage mechanisms, the technical hurdles, and the optimization strategies for metal chalcogenides and highlight how the adjustment of the crystalline structure and choice of the electrolyte affect the electrochemical performance of metal-chalcogenide-based electrode materials.Other potential potassium-based energy storage systems to which metal chalcogenides can be applied are also discussed. Finally, future research directions focusing on metal chalcogenides for potassium storage are proposed.Jingwen Zhou Ye Liu Shilin Zhang Tengfei Zhou Zaiping Guo 2020InfoMat2020,2,3:6
Discrimination of False Negative Results in RT-PCR Detection of SARS-CoV-2 RNAs in Clinical Specimens by Using an Internal Reference显示文摘Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)is an essential method for specific diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 infection.Unfortunately, false negative test results are often reported. In this study,we attempted to determine the principal causes leading to false negative results of RT-PCR detection of SARS-CoV-2 RNAs in respiratory tract specimens.Multiple sputum and throat swab specimens from 161 confirmed COVID-19 patients were tested with a commercialfluorescent RT-PCR kit targeting the ORF1 ab and N regions of SARS-CoV-2 genome. The RNA level of a cellular housekeeping gene ribonuclease P/MRP subunit p30(RPP30)in these specimens was also assessed by RT-PCR.Data for a total of 1052 samples were retrospectively re-analyzed and a strong association between positive results in SARS-CoV-2 RNA tests and high level of RPP30 RNA in respiratory tract specimens was revealed.By using the ROC-AUC analysis,we identified Ct cutoff values for RPP30 RT-PCR which predicted false negative results for SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR with high sensitivity(95.03%–95.26%)and specificity(83.72%–98.55%)for respective combination of specimen type and ampli-fication reaction.Using these Ct cutoff values, false negative results could be reliably identified. Therefore, the presence of cellular materials, likely infected host cells, are essential for correct SARS-CoV-2 RNA detection by RT-PCR in patient specimens.RPP30 could serve as an indicator for cellular content,or a surrogate indicator for specimen quality. In addition, our results demonstrated that false negativity accounted for a vast majority of contradicting results in SARS-CoV-2 RNA test by RT-PCR.Yafei Zhang Changtai Wang Mingfeng Han Jun Ye Yong Gao Zhongping Liu Tengfei He Tuantuan Li Mengyuan Xu Luping Zhou Guizhou Zou Mengji Lu Zhenhua Zhang 2020Virologica Sinica2020,35,6:5
Physical Mechanism and Performance Factors of Metal Oxide Based Resistive Switching Memory:A Review显示文摘This review summarizes the mechanism and performance of metal oxide based resistive switching memory The origin of resistive switching(RS) behavior can be roughly classified into the conducting filament type and the interface type. Here,we adopt the filament type to study the metal oxide based resistive switching memory, which considers the migration of metallic cations and oxygen vacancies,as well as discuss two main mechanisms including the electrochemical metallization effect(ECM) and valence change memory effect(VCM). At the light of the influence of the electrode materials and switching layers on the RS characteristics,an overview has also been given on the performance parameters including the uniformity endurance, the retention, and the multi-layer storage. Especially,we mentioned ITO(indium tin oxide electrode and discussed the novel RS characteristics related with ITO. Finally, the challenges resistive random access memory(RRAM) device is facing,as well as the future development trend, are expressed.Cong Ye Jiaji Wu Gang He Jieqiong Zhang Tengfei Deng Pin He Hao Wang 2016Journal of Materials Science & Technology2016,32,1:3
An efficient spherical mapping algorithm and its application on spherical harmonics显示文摘The sphere is a natural and seamless parametric domain for closed genus-0 surfaces. We introduce an efficient hierarchical optimization approach for the computation of spherical parametrization for closed genus-0 surfaces by minimizing a nonlinear energy balancing angle and area distortions. The mapping results are bijective and lowly distorted. Our algorithm converges efficiently and is suitable to manipulate large-scale geometric models. We demonstrate and analyze the effectiveness of our mapping in spherical harmonics decomposition.WAN ShengHua YE TengFei LI MaoQing ZHANG HongChao LI Xin 2013Science China(Information Sciences)2013,56,9:2
CSCS:a chromatin state interface for Chinese Spring bread wheat显示文摘A chromosome-level genome assembly of the bread wheat variety Chinese Spring(CS)has recently been published.Genome-wide identification of regulatory elements(REs)responsible for regulating gene activity is key to further mechanistic studies.Because epigenetic activity can reflect RE activity, defining chromatin states based on epigenomic features is an effective way to detect REs.Here,we present the web-based platform Chinese Spring chromatin state(CSCS),which provides CS chromatin signature information.CSCS indudes 15 recently published epigenomic data sets including open chromatin and major chromatin marks, which are further partitioned into 15 distinct chromatin states.CSCS curates detailed information about these chromatin states, with trained self-organization mapping(SOM)for segments in all chromatin states and JBrowse visualization for genomic regions or genes.Motif analysis for genomic regions or genes,GO analysis for genes and SOM analysis for new epige-nomic data sets are also integrated into CSCS.In summary, the CSCS database contains the combina-torial patterns of chromatin signatures in wheat and facilitates the detection of functi onal elements and further clarification of regulatory activities. We illustrate how CSCS enables biological insights using one example, demonstrating that CSCS is a highly useful resource for intensive data mining.CSCS is available at http://gffzze8057a4eb1844f5chp9u5n0cukxkw6cu9.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/CSCS/.Xiaojuan Ran Tengfei Tang Meiyue Wang Luhuan Ye Yili Zhuang Fei Zhao Yijing Zhang 2021aBIOTECH2021,2,4:1
Dorsomorphin induces cancer cell apoptosis and sensitizes cancer cells to HSP90 and proteasome inhibitors by reducing nuclear heat shock factor 1 levels显示文摘Objective: Heat shock factor 1(HSF1), a transcriptional regulator of heat shock proteins(HSPs), is an attractive therapeutic target for cancer. However, only a few HSF1 inhibitors have been identified so far. Methods: The mRNA and protein levels of HSF1, HSPs, cleaved PARP, and phosphorylated HSF1 were examined by real-time PCR and Western blot. Forced expression, RNA interference, and immunofluorescence assay were used for mechanistic studies.Cell viability and apoptosis were measured by WST-8 assay and flow cytometry, respectively. Xenograft studies were performed in nude mice to evaluate the effect of dorsomorphin and an HSP90 inhibitor on tumor growth. Results: Dorsomorphin suppressed multiple stimuli-induced and constitutive HSPs expression in cancer cells. Mechanistic studies revealed that dorsomorphin reduced heat-induced HSP expression independent of adenosine monophosphate activated protein kinase. Dorsomorphin reduced heat-stimulated HSF1 Ser320 phosphorylation and nuclear translocation, as well as resting nuclear HSF1 levels in cancer cells. Dorsomorphin induced cancer cell apoptosis by inhibiting HSF1 expression. A structure-activity study revealed that the 4-pyridyl at the 3-site of the pyrazolo [1, 5-a]pyrimidine ring is critical for the anti-HSF1 activities of dorsomorphin. Dorsomorphin sensitized cancer cells to HSP90 and proteasome inhibitors and inhibited HSP70 expression induced by these inhibitors in vitro. In tumor-bearing nude mice, dorsomorphin enhanced HSP90 inhibitor-induced cancer cell apoptosis, tumor growth inhibition, and HSP70 expression. Conclusions: Dorsomorphin is an HSF1 inhibitor. It induces cancer cell apoptosis, sensitizes cancer cells to both HSP90 and proteasome inhibitors, and suppresses HSP upregulation by these drugs, which may prevent the development of drug resistance.Hence, dorsomorphin and its derivates may serve as potential precursors for developing drugs against cancer.Na Li Ting Wang Zongmeng Li Xiaoli Ye Bo Deng Shu Zhuo Pengle Yao Mengmei Yang Hong Mei Xiaofang Chen Tengfei Zhu Shiting Chen Hui Wang Jiming Wang Yingying Le 2019Cancer Biology & Medicine2019,16,2:1
Robotized manufacturing equipment:A review from the perspective of mechanism topology显示文摘In recent years, robots have been extensively applied in the establishment of intelligent manufacturing systems. Many robotized manufacturing equipment have been developed, some of which have gained successful applications.A mechanism is the skeleton of a machine that transfers motion and energy. The topology of a mechanism is an important gene that determines the function and performance of a machine.Although several reviews have focused on robotized manufacturing,an up-to-date review of robotized manufacturing equipment from the perspective of mechanism topology is lacking. This motivated us to present a survey about existing robotics structures used in manufacturing equipment.Relevant studies are classified into three types:serial robot-based manufacturing equipment, parallel kinematic machines, and hybrid robot-based manufacturing equipment. The features and performance behaviour of these equipments,as determined by their mechanism topology, are analyzed. In particular, the influences of joint numbers, rotational axes of output motion, actuation schemes, and topological symmetry on equipment performance are discussed to provide insight into the new development of robotized manufacturing equipment,as well as future research directions on this topic.YE Wei TANG TengFei LI QinChuan 2023Science China(Technological Sciences)2023,66,6:1

An Efficient Hybrid DSMC/MD Algorithm for Accurate Modeling of Micro Gas Flows显示文摘Aiming at simulating micro gas flows with accurate boundary conditions,an efficient hybrid algorithm is developed by combining the molecular dynamics(MD)method with the direct simulation Monte Carlo(DSMC)method. The efficiency comes from the fact that the MD method is applied only within the gas-wall interaction layer, characterized by the cut-off distance of the gas-solid interaction potential,to resolve accurately the gas-wall interaction process, while the DSMC method is employed in the remaining portion of the flow field to efficiently simulate rarefied gas transport outside the gas-wall interaction layer.A unique feature about the present scheme is that the coupling between the two methods is realized by matching the molecular velocity distribution function at the DSMC/MD interface, hence there is no need for one-toone mapping between a MD gas molecule and a DSMC simulation particle.Further improvement in efficiency is achieved by taking advantage of gas rarefaction inside the gas-wall interaction layer and by employing the“smart-wall model”proposed by Barisik et al.The developed hybrid algorithm is validated on two classical benchmarks namely 1-D Fourier thermal problem and Couette shear flow problem. Both the accuracy and efficiency of the hybrid algorithm are discussed. As an application, the hybrid algorithm is employed to simulate thermal transpiration coefficient in the free-molecule regime for a system with atomically smooth surface.Result is utilized to validate the coefficients calculated from the pure DSMC simulation with Maxwell and Cercignani-Lampis gas-wall interaction models.Tengfei Liang Wenjing Ye 2014Communications in Computational Physics2014,15,1:0
Growth of Tellurium Nanobelts on h-BN for p-type Transistors with Ultrahigh Hole Mobility显示文摘The lack of stable p-type van der Waals(vdW)semiconductors with high hole mobility severely impedes the step of low-dimensional materials entering the industrial circle.Although p-type black phosphorus(bP)and tellurium(Te)have shown promising hole mobilities, the instability under ambient conditions of bP and relatively low hole mobility of Te remain as daunting issues. Here we report the growth of high-quality Te nanobelts on atomically flat hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN)for high-performance p-type field-effect transistors(FETs).Importantly, the Te-based FET exhibits an ultrahigh hole mobility up to 1370 cm^(2) V^(−1) s^(−1) at room temperature, that may lay the foundation for the future high-performance p-type 2D FET and metal-oxide-semiconductor(p-MOS)inverter.The vdW h-BN dielectric substrate not only provides an ultra-flat surface without dangling bonds for growth of high-quality Te nanobelts, but also reduces the scattering centers at the interface between the channel material and the dielectric layer, thus resulting in the ultrahigh hole mobility.Peng Yang Jiajia Zha Guoyun Gao Long Zheng Haoxin Huang Yunpeng Xia Songcen Xu Tengfei Xiong Zhuomin Zhang Zhengbao Yang Ye Chen Dong-Keun Ki Juin J.Liou Wugang Liao Chaoliang Tan 2022Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,7:0
Temperature Bias Drift Phase-Based Compensation for a MEMS Accelerometer with Stiffness-Tuning Double-Sided Parallel Plate Capacitors显示文摘This paper reports an approach of in-operation temperature bias drift compensation based on phase-based calibration for a stiffness-tunable MEMS accelerometer with double-sided parallel plate(DSPP)capacitors. The temperature drifts of the components of the accelerometer are characterized, and analytical models are built on the basis of the measured drift results. Results reveal that the temperature drift of the acceleration output bias is dominated by the sensitive mechanical stiffness. An out-of-bandwidth AC stimulus signal is introduced to excite the accelerometer, and the interference with the acceleration measurement is minimized. The demodulated phase of the excited response exhibits a monotonic relationship with the effective stiffness of the accelerometer.Through the proposed online compensation approach, the temperature drift of the effective stiffness can be detected by the demodulated phase and compensated in real time by adjusting the stiffness-tuning voltage of DSPP capacitors. The temperature drift coefficient(TDC)of the accelerometer is reduced from 0.54 to 0.29 mg/℃,and the Allan variance bias instability of about 2.8μg is not adversely affected.Meanwhile, the pull-in resulting from the temperature drift of the effective stiffness can be prevented.TDC can be further reduced to 0.04 mg/℃through an additional offline calibration based on the demodulated carrier phase representing the temperature drift of the readout circuit.Mingkang Li Zhipeng Ma Tengfei Zhang Yiming Jin Ziyi Ye Xudong Zheng Zhonghe Jin 2023Nanomanufacturing and Metrology2023,6,3:0

Stress distribution in roadbeds of slab tracks with longitudinal discontinuities显示文摘Stress concentration occurs in the foundations of railway tracks where discontinuous components are located. The exacerbated stress under the expansion joints in slab tracks may trigger foundation failures such as mud pumping.Although the higher stress due to the discontinuities of track structures has been discussed in past studies, few focused on the stress response of roadbeds in slab tracks and quantitatively characterized the stress pattern. In this paper,we performed a dynamic finite element analysis of a track-formation system, incorporating expansion joints as primary longitudinal discontinuities. The configurations of CRTS Ⅲ slab tracks and the contact conditions between concrete layers were considered.Numerical results show that longitudinal influencing length of induced stress on roadbed under wheel load relates to the contact conditions between concrete layers, increasing nonlinearly at a larger coefficient of friction.Given a measured coefficient of friction of 0.7,the calculated longitudinal influencing length(9.0 m) matches with field data. The longitudinal influencing length is not affected with the increasing velocity. As stress concentration arises with expansion joints, the worstcase scenario emerges when double-axle loads are exerted immediately above the expansion joints between concrete bases.A stress concentration factor Cvon the roadbed is proposed;it increases with the increasing velocity, changing from 1.33 to 1.52 at velocities between 5 and 400 km/h.The stress distribution on roadbeds transforms from a trapezoid pattern at continuous sections to a triangle pattern at points with longitudinal discontinuities. An explicit expression is finally proposed for the stress pattern on roadbed under expansion joints.Although structural discontinuities induce stress raiser, the extent of concentration is mitigated with increasing depth at different velocity levels.Qingzhi Ye Qiang Luo Guishuai Feng Tengfei Wang Hongwei Xie 2023Railway Engineering Science2023,31,1:0
De Novo Biosynthesis of Vindoline and Catharanthine in Saccharomyces cerevisiae显示文摘Vinblastine has been used clinically as one of the most potent therapeutics for the treatment of several types of cancer. However, the traditional plant extraction method suffers from unreliable supply, low abundance, and extremely high cost. Here,we use synthetic biology approach to engineer Saccharomyces cerevisiae for de novo biosynthesis of vindoline and catharanthine, which can be coupled chemically or biologically to vinblastine. On the basis of a platform strain with sufficient supply of precursors and cofactors for biosynthesis,we reconstituted, debottlenecked, and optimized the biosynthetic pathways for the production of vindoline and catharanthine. The vindoline biosynthetic pathway represents one of the most complicated pathways ever reconstituted in microbial cell factories.Using shake flask fermentation, our engineered yeast strains were able to produce catharanthine and vindoline at a titer of 527.1 and 305.1μg·liter^(−1),respectively,without accumulating detectable amount of pathway intermediates. This study establishes a representative example for the production of valuable plant natural products in yeast.Di Gao Tengfei Liu Jucan Gao Junhao Xu Yuanwei Gou Yingjia Pan Dongfang Li Cuifang Ye Ronghui Pan Lei Huang Zhinan Xu Jiazhang Lian 2022BioDesign Research2022,,1:0
