1The ChinaMAP analytics of deep whole genome sequences in 10,588 individuals显示文摘Metabolic diseases are the most common and rapidly growing health issues worldwide.The massive population-based human genetics is crucial for the precise prevention and intervention of metabolic disorders.The China Metabolic Analytics Project(ChinaMAP)is based on cohort studies across diverse regions and ethnic groups with metabolic phenotypic data in China.Here,we describe the centralized analysis of the deep whole genome sequencing data and the genetic bases of metabolic traits in 10,588 individuals from the ChinaMAP.The frequency spectrum of variants,population structure,pathogenic variants and novel genomic characteristics were analyzed.The individual genetic evaluations of Mendelian diseases,nutrition and drug metabolism,and traits of blood glucose and BMI were integrated.Our study establishes a large-scale and deep resource for the genetics of East Asians and provides opportunities for novel genetic discoveries of metabolic characteristics and disorders.Yanan Cao Lin Li Min Xu Zhimin Feng Xiaohui Sun Jieli Lu Yu Xu Peina Du Tiange Wang Ruying Hu Zhen Ye Lixin Shi Xulei Tang Li Yan Zhengnan Gao Gang Chen Yinfei Zhang Lulu Chen Guang Ning Yufang Bi Weiqing Wang The ChinaMAP Consortium 2020Cell Research2020,30,9:20
2Toluene decomposition performance and NOx by-product formation during a DBD-catalyst process显示文摘Characteristics of toluene decomposition and formation of nitrogen oxide(NOx) by-products were investigated in a dielectric barrier discharge(DBD) reactor with/without catalyst at room temperature and atmospheric pressure. Four kinds of metal oxides, i.e., manganese oxide(Mn Ox), iron oxide(Fe Ox), cobalt oxide(Co Ox) and copper oxide(Cu O), supported on Al2O3/nickel foam, were used as catalysts. It was found that introducing catalysts could improve toluene removal efficiency, promote decomposition of by-product ozone and enhance CO2 selectivity. In addition, NOx was suppressed with the decrease of specific energy density(SED) and the increase of humidity, gas flow rate and toluene concentration, or catalyst introduction. Among the four kinds of catalysts, the Cu O catalyst showed the best performance in NOx suppression. The Mn Ox catalyst exhibited the lowest concentration of O3 and highest CO2 selectivity but the highest concentration of NOx. A possible pathway for NOx production in DBD was discussed. 3AntarcticaLC2000:The new Antarctic land cover database for the year 2000显示文摘Antarctica plays a key role in global energy balance and sea level change.It has been conventionally viewed as a whole ice body with high albedo in General Circulation Models or Regional Climate Models and the differences of land cover has usually been overlooked.Land cover in Antarctica is one of the most important drivers of changes in the Earth system.Detailed land cover information over the Antarctic region is necessary as spatial resolution improves in land process models.However,there is a lack of complete Antarctic land cover dataset derived from a consistent data source.To fill this data gap,we have produced a database named Antarctic Land Cover Database for the Year 2000(AntarcticaLC2000) using Landsat Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus(ETM+) data acquired around 2000 and Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectrometer(MODIS) images acquired in the austral summer of 2003/2004 according to the criteria for the 1:100000-scale.Three land cover types were included in this map,separately,ice-free rocks,blue ice,and snow/firn.This classification legend was determined based on a review of the land cover systems in Antarctica(LCCSA) and an analysis of different land surface types and the potential of satellite data.Image classification was conducted through a combined usage of computer-aided and manual interpretation methods.A total of 4067 validation sample units were collected through visual interpretation in a stratified random sampling manner.An overall accuracy of 92.3%and the Kappa coefficient of 0.836 were achieved.Results show that the areas and percentages of ice-free rocks,blue ice,and snow/firn are 73268.81 km2(0.537%),225937.26 km2(1.656%),and 13345460.41 km2(97.807%),respectively.The comparisons with other different data proved a higher accuracy of our product and a more advantageous data quality.These indicate that AntarcticaLC2000,the new land cover dataset for Antarctica entirely derived from satellite data,is a reliable product for a broad spectrum of applications.HUI FengMing KANG Jing LIU Yan CHENG Xiao GONG Peng WANG Fang LI Zhan YE YuFang GUO ZiQi 2017Science China Earth Sciences2017,60,4:5
4Detection of hydroxyl radical in plasma reaction on toluene removal显示文摘A new method was introduced to detect the concentration of OH radical in dielectric barrier discharge(DBD)reaction.A film, which was impregnated with salicylic acid,was used to detect OH radical in plasma reaction at room temperature and atmospheric pressure.Salicylic acid reacts with OH radical and produces 2,5-dihydroxybenzoic acid(2,5-DHBA).Then,a high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)was carried out to detect the concentration of 2,5-DHBA.Therefore,OH radical in nonthermal plasma reaction could be calculated.In this plasma reaction,the applied voltage was controlled at 10 kV,the initial concentration of toluene was 400 mg/m3,and the gas flow rate was 300 ml/min.It was observed that when the film was placed away from the plasma area,2,5-DHBA could not be detected by HPLC,although the sampling time lasted for 48 h.On the other hand,when the film was placed in the plasma area and the sampling time being too long(>4 h),the concentration of 2,5-DHBA was also below detection limit,and it could not be detected by HPLC.However,when the film was placed in the plasma reaction field with the sampling time being 3 h,the concentration of OH radical was calculated to be 10.54×1012 cm-3.In addition,concentration of OH radical was investigated under different humidity,such as 0.2%,0.4%,0.6%,0.8%,and 1.0%.The results showed that the amount of OH radical stayed at order of magnitude of 1012 cm-3 and increased with the increase of humidity.Guo Yufang Liao Xiaobin Ye Daiqi 2008Journal of Environmental Sciences2008,20,12:5
5An improved Landsat Image Mosaic of Antarctica显示文摘A revised Landsat Image Mosaic of Antarctica (LIMA) is presented, using the 1073 multi-band scenes of the original Landsat-7 ETM+ LIMA image collection available at the United States Geological Survey (USGS: http://gffzza64998f73d704ee0hv6095xufvxvv69n5.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/). Three improvements have been applied during the data processing: (1) DN saturation is adjusted by adopting a linear regression, which has a lower root mean square error than the ratio regression used by LIMA; (2) solar elevation angle is calculated using pixel-level latitude/longitude and the acquisition time and date of the central pixel of the scene, improving slightly upon the bilinear interpolation of the solar elevation angles of scene corners applied in LIMA; and (3) two additional image bands, Band 5 and Band 7, are sharpened using the panchromatic band (Band 8) and a Gram-Schmidt Spectral Sharpening algorithm to more easily distinguish snow, cloud and exposed rocks. The final planetary reflectance product is stored in 16-bit bands to preserve the full radiometric content of the scenes. 7Zirconium-Induced Softening in Hyperstoichiometric Ni_3Al显示文摘The room temperature compressive properties and microhardness of Ni3Al alloys doped with Zr were studied. For the hypostoichiometric Ni3Al alloys, the compressive strength and microhardness increased with an increase in Zr content, while softening behavior induced by doping with a certain amount of Zr was observed in hyperstoichiometric Ni3Al alloy. 18Light spectrum preference of Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) under different hunger levels显示文摘In order to improve the light welfare of Nile tilapia in aquaculture,the influence of hunger level on light spectrum preference of Nile tilapia was explored in this study.The whole experiment was based on the emptying of the gastrointestinal contents,and carried out under the controlled laboratory conditions.The light spectrum preference was assessed by counting the head location of fish in each experimental tank,which containing seven compartments(i.e.,red,blue,white,yellow,black,green and public area).t-Distributed Stochastic Neighbor Embedding(t-SNE)was adopted to visualize the hunger level-based dynamic preference on light spectrum in two-dimensional space.According to the clustering results,significant differences in light spectrum preferences of Nile tilapia,under the different hunger levels,were indicated.In addition,the average visit frequency in green compartment was significantly lower than that in other color compartments throughout the whole experiment,and the total visit frequency in red compartment was relatively higher during the whole experiment.Guang Jin Jian Zhao Yadong Zhang Gang Liu Dezhao Liu Songming Zhu Yufang Shao Zhangying Ye 2019International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2019,12,5:0
