| 1 | Rapid and selective uranium extraction from aqueous solution under visible light in the absence of solid photocatalyst显示文摘Extraction of uranium from radioactive waste-water is of significant importance for environmental protection and the recovery of uranium resource.Different from the previous reports to use the solid absorbent/photocatalyst for U(VI)removal,herein,we proposed a new eco-friendly method for the rapid and selective extraction of uranium from aqueous solutions under visible light without solid materials.At optimal pH value and in the presence of organics like alcohols,the U(VI)could be extracted efficiently to form brown uranium solid over wide uranium concentrations under anaerobic condition and visible light,by utilizing the excitation of the given U(VI)species.With comprehensive modelling of the electronic ultraviolet-visible(UV-Vis)properties,it is proved that pH adjusting towards U(VI)could induce efficient ligand-to-metal-charge-transfer(LMCT)within the uranyl complex under visible light and the reduction of U(VI)to form U(V),which can be transformed into U(IV)via disproportionation reaction.The resulting U(IV)in solid phase makes the extraction much more convenient in operation.More importantly,the excellent selectivity for uranium extraction over interfering alkali metal ions,transition metal ions and the lanthanide metal ions shows a powerful application potential. | Shaojun Li Yezi Hu Zewen Shen Yawen Cai Zhuoyu Ji Xiaoli Tan Zhixin Liu Guixia Zhao Shuxian Hu Xiangke Wang | 2021 | Science China Chemistry2021,64,8: | 2 |
| 2 | Application of aluminosilicate clay mineral-based composites in photocatalysis显示文摘Aluminosilicate clay mineral(ACM)is a kind of typical raw materials that used widely in manufacturing industry owing to the abundant reserve and low-cost exploring.In past two decades,in-depth understanding on unique layered structure and abundant surface proper-ties endows ACM in the emerging research and application fields.In field of solar-chemical energy conversion,ACM has been widely used to support various semiconductor photocata-lysts,forming the composites and achieving efficient conversion of reactants under sunlight irradiation.To date,classic ACM such as kaolinite and montmorillonite,loaded with semi-conductor photocatalysts has been widely applied in photocatalysis.This review summaries the recent works on ACM-based composites in photocatalysis.Focusing on the properties of surface and layered structure,we elucidate the different features in the composition with various functional photocatalysts on two typical kinds of ACM,i.e.,type 1∶1 and type 2∶1.Not only large surface area and active surface hydroxyl group assist the substrate adsorption,but also the layered structure provides more space to enlarge the application of ACM-based photocatalysts.Besides,we overview the modifications on ACM from both external surface and the inter-layer space that make the formation of composites more efficiently and boost the photo-chemical process.This review could inspire more upcoming design and synthesis for ACM-based photocatalysts,leading this kind of economic and eco-friendly materials for more practical application in the future. | Yingtong Zou Yezi Hu Zewen Shen Ling Yao Duoyue Tang Sai Zhang Shuqin Wang Baowei Hu Guixia Zhao Xiangke Wang | 2022 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,5: | 2 |
| 3 | Detection of androgen receptor (AR) and AR-V7 in small cell prostate carcinoma: Diagnostic and therapeutic implications显示文摘Objective:Small cell prostate carcinoma(SCPC)is a rare and highly malignant subtype of prostate cancer.SCPC frequently lacks androgen receptor(AR)and prostate-specific antigen(PSA)expression,and often responds poorly to androgen deprivation therapy(ADT).AR splice variant-7(AR-V7)is a truncated AR protein implicated in resistance to AR-targeting therapies.AR-V7 expression in castration-resistant prostate cancers has been evaluated extensively,and blood-based detection of AR-V7 has been associated with lack of response to abiraterone and enzalutamide.However,whether AR-V7 is expressed in SCPC is not known.Methods:Using validated antibodies,we performed immunohistochemistry(IHC)assay for the full-length AR(AR-FL)and(AR-V7)on post-ADT surgical SCPC specimens.Results:Seventy-five percent(9/12)of the specimens showed positive staining for the AR-FL with various intensities.Thirty-three percent(4/12)of the specimens showed positive staining for AR-V7.Among the specimens with positive AR-V7 staining,two samples displayed very weak staining,one sample showed weak-to-moderate staining,and one sample showed strong staining.All positive specimens displayed a heterogeneous pattern of AR-FL/AR-V7 staining.All specimens positive for AR-V7 were also positive for AR-FL.Conclusion:The study findings support the existence of measurable AR-FL and AR-V7 proteins in SCPC specimens.The results also have implications in detection of AR-V7 in specimens obtained through systemic sampling approaches such as circulating tumor cells.A positive AR-V7 finding by blood-based tests is not impossible in patients with SCPC who often demonstrate low PSA values. | Pei Zhao Yezi Zhu Liang Cheng Jun Luo | 2019 | Asian Journal of Urology2019,6,1: | 2 |

| 7 | State-of-the-art progress in the selective photo-oxidation of alcohols显示文摘Photocatalytic oxidation of alcohols has received more and more attention in recent years following the numerous studies on the degradation of pollutants, hydrogen evolution, and CO_(2) reduction by photocatalysis. Instead of the total oxidation of organics in the degradation process, the photo-oxidation of alcohols aims at the selective conversion of alcohols to produce carbonyl/acid compounds. Promising results have been achieved in designing the catalysts and reaction system, as well as in the mechanistic investigations in the past few years. This review summarizes the state-of-the-art progress in the photo-oxidation of alcohols, including the development of photocatalysts and cocatalysts, reaction conditions including the solvent and the atmosphere, and the exploration of mechanisms with scavengers experiment, electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) and diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform (DRIFT) spectroscopy. | 17 | Multiomics approach reveals the ubiquitination-specific processes hijacked by SARS-CoV-2显示文摘The Coronavirus Disease 2019(COVID-19)caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)is a global pandemic that seriously threatens health and socioeconomic development,but the existed antiviral drugs and vaccines still cannot yet halt the spread of the epidemic.Therefore,a comprehensive and profound understanding of the pathogenesis of SARS-CoV-2 is urgently needed to explore effective therapeutic targets.Here,we conducted a multiomics study of SARS-CoV-2-infected lung epithelial cells,including transcriptomic,proteomic,and ubiquitinomic.Multiomics analysis showed that SARS-CoV-2-infected lung epithelial cells activated strong innate immune response,including interferon and inflammatory responses.Ubiquitinomic further reveals the underlying mechanism of SARS-CoV-2 disrupting the host innate immune response.In addition,SARS-CoV-2 proteins were found to be ubiquitinated during infection despite the fact that SARS-CoV-2 itself didn’t code any E3 ligase,and that ubiquitination at three sites on the Spike protein could significantly enhance viral infection.Further screening of the E3 ubiquitin ligases and deubiquitinating enzymes(DUBs)library revealed four E3 ligases influencing SARS-CoV-2 infection,thus providing several new antiviral targets.This multiomics combined with high-throughput screening study reveals that SARS-CoV-2 not only modulates innate immunity,but also promotes viral infection,by hijacking ubiquitination-specific processes,highlighting potential antiviral and anti-inflammation targets. | Gang Xu Yezi Wu Tongyang Xiao Furong Qi Lujie Fan Shengyuan Zhang Jian Zhou Yanhua He Xiang Gao Hongxiang Zeng Yunfei Li Zheng Zhang | 2022 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,10: | 1 |

| 20 | Regulation of androgen receptor variants in prostate cancer显示文摘Aberrant activation of androgen receptor(AR)signaling occurs in patients treated with AR-targeted therapies,contributing to the development of castration-resistant prostate cancer(CRPC)and therapeutic resistance.Over the past decade,many AR variants(AR-Vs)have been identified in prostate cancer cell lines and clinical CRPC specimens.These AR-Vs lack the COOH-terminal ligand-binding domain(LBD),and may mediate constitutively active AR signaling acquired following AR-targeting therapies.AR splice variant-7(AR-V7),one of the most well characterized AR-Vs,can be reliably measured in tissue and liquid biopsy specimens,and blood-based detection of AR-V7 is a reliable indicator of poor outcome to relatively novel hormonal therapies(NHT)such as abiraterone and enzalutamide in men with metastatic CRPC(mCRPC).Given the important clinical implication of AR-Vs,this short review will focus on studies addressing how AR-Vs are regulated in prostate cancer.With regard to the molecular origin of AR-Vs,it is established that expression of AR-Vs is highly correlated with androgen deprivation and suppression of AR signaling.Therapeutic targeting of the AR axis may result in active transcription of the AR gene,elevated activities of certain components of the mRNA splicing machinery,as well as AR genomic alterations,all of which may explain the molecular origin of AR-Vs.Although a unified hypothesis is currently lacking,existing data suggest that elevated expression of AR-Vs,which in general occurs quite specifically in a cellular environment where the canonical AR signaling is suppressed,is driven by both genomic and epigenomic features acquired in the development of CRPC. | Yezi Zhu Jun Luo | 2020 | Asian Journal of Urology2020,7,3: | 1 |
