| 1 | Evaluation of the relative risk of stroke in patients with hypertension using cerebrovascular hemodynamic accumulative score显示文摘The relative risk(RR)of stroke in patients with hypertension was evaluated by using synthetic index of cerebrovascular hemodynamics.A total of 7,371 patients with hypertension with ages i40 years were selected from a population-based cohort study of the risk factors for stroke.The data on the baseline investigation of risk factors,the determination of cerebrovascular hemodynamic parameters(CVHP),and stroke follow-up were analyzed.The RR of stroke in patients with hypertension was evaluated by CVHP scores.Univariate analysis indicated that hypertension,complicated by other risk factors,had significant statistical association with the onset of stroke.RRs for stroke when hypertension complicated with decrease of hemodynamic scores,heart disease,cigarette smoking and alcohol consumption were 4.93(95%CI,3.26–7.45),1.90(95%CI,1.36–2.66),1.99(95%CI,1.42–2.79)and 1.73(95%CI,1.19–2.53)respectively.In multivariate analysis,hemodynamic score,age,sex,cigarette smoking,family history of stroke and systolic blood pressure were selected by the Cox regression for inclusion in the final analysis.Among them,the RR of hemodynamic score was highest.The analysis of doseresponse relationships indicated that when the hemodynamic scores in patients with hypertension were lower than 75 points,the RR of stroke at 75,60,45,30 and 15 points were 2.85,4.43,4.54,5.40 and 9.88,respectively.The risk of stroke in patients with hypertension is closely asso ciated with hemodynamic impairment and the hemodynamic score may be used for quantitative evaluation of relative risks of stroke. | HUANG Jiuyi WANG Guiqing GUO Jiping CAO Yifeng WANG Yan YANG Yongju YU Xuehai | 2007 | Frontiers of Medicine2007,1,3: | 2 |

| 10 | COVID-19 vaccine uptake and its determinants among teenagers and their parents in Zhejiang, China: An online cross-sectional study显示文摘Objective:To examine COVID-19 vaccine uptake and its determinants among teenagers and their parents in Zhejiang,China.Methods:An online cross-sectional study was conducted among parents of teenagers in Zhejiang,China from May 1 to 31,2022.Data were interpreted via univariate and multivariate analyses using the statistical package for the social sciences(SPSS)program.Results:A total of 11115(96.11%)participants and 11449(99.00%)of their children in Zhejiang,China had been vaccinated against COVID-19.Children whose parents did not receive COVID-19 vaccination were 19 times(aOR 18.96,95%CI 12.36-29.08)more likely to be unvaccinated than their counterparts.In addition,children with no previous influenza vaccination,those whose parents doubted the COVID-19 vaccine’s safety or effectiveness,were 6.11 times(aOR 6.11,95%CI 2.80-13.34),8.27 times(aOR 8.27,95%CI 5.33-12.83),and 2.69 times(aOR 2.69,95%CI 1.11-6.50)more likely to be unvaccinated than their counterparts,respectively.COVID-19 vaccine uptake varied between different sociodemographic groups.However,the odds of receiving the COVID-19 vaccine decreased as age and education level increased.The main refusal reasons claimed by participants were that they had medical conditions that may not qualify them for vaccination(53.78%),followed by safety concerns about the vaccine(13.56%),not knowing where to get vaccinated(6.44%),and concerns about fertility issues(5.56%).Conclusions:Despite a highly encouraging level of COVID-19 vaccine uptake in Zhejiang,China,the elderly and highly educated people had lower COVID-19 vaccine uptake.It is suggested that tailored health education strategies should be taken to increase the COVID-19 vaccine uptake in such groups.Furthermore,with vaccination rates at such a high level,the pandemic is still ongoing,and public confidence in vaccines may decline.Thus,sufficient evidence-based information regarding COVID-19 vaccines should be provided to the public. | Yu Huang Qingqing Wu Shuiyang Xu Xiang Zhao Lei Wang Qiaohong Lv Suxian Wu Xuehai Zhang | 2023 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2023,16,4: | 0 |
| 11 | VAMP726 from maize and Arabidopsis confers pollen resistance to heat and UV radiation by influencing lignin content of sporopollenin显示文摘Sporopollenin in the pollen cell wall protects male gametophytes from stresses.Phenylpropanoid derivatives,including guaiacyl(G)lignin units,are known to be structural components of sporopollenin,but the exact composition of sporopollenin remains to be fully resolved.We analyzed the phenylpropanoid derivatives in sporopollenin from maize and Arabidopsis by thioacidolysis coupled with nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)and gas chromatography–mass spectrometry(GC–MS).The NMR and GC–MS results confirmed the presence of p-hydroxyphenyl(H),G,and syringyl(S)lignin units in sporopollenin from maize and Arabidopsis.Strikingly,H units account for the majority of lignin monomers in sporopollenin from these species.We next performed a genome-wide association study to explore the genetic basis of maize sporopollenin composition and identified a vesicle-associated membrane protein(ZmVAMP726)that is strongly associated with lignin monomer composition of maize sporopollenin.Genetic manipulation of VAMP726 affected not only lignin monomer composition in sporopollenin but also pollen resistance to heat and UV radiation in maize and Arabidopsis,indicating that VAMP726 is functionally conserved in monocot and dicot plants.Our work provides new insight into the lignin monomers that serve as structural components of sporopollenin and characterizes VAMP726,which affects sporopollenin composition and stress resistance in pollen. | Wenqi Yang Dongdong Yao Haiyang Duan Junli Zhang Yaling Cai Chen Lan Bing Zhao Yong Mei Yan Zheng Erbing Yang Xiaoduo Lu Xuehai Zhang Jihua Tang Ke Yu Xuebin Zhang | 2023 | Plant Communications2023,4,6: | 0 |
