2Au/LaVO_(4)Nanocomposite:Preparation,Characterization,and Catalytic Activity for CO Oxidation显示文摘The size of the gold particles is a very important parameter to get active catalysts.This paper reports a novel colloidal deposition method to prepare Au/LaVO_(4)nanocomposite catalyst with monodispersed Au colloids and uniform LaVO_(4)nanoplates in nonpolar solvent.Monodispersed Au colloids with tunable size(such as 2,5,7,11,13,and 16 nm)and LaVO_(4)nanocrystals with well-defi ned shapes were pre-synthesized assisted with oleic acid/amine.During the following immobilization process,the particle size and shape of Au and LaVO_(4)were nearly preserved.As-prepared Au/LaVO_(4)nanocomposite showed high catalytic activity for CO oxidation at room temperature.Since sizes of gold particles were well-defi ned before the immobilization process,size effect of gold particles was easy to be investigated and the results show that 5-nm Au/LaVO_(4)nanocomposite has the highest activity for CO oxidation.This synthetic method can be extended further for the preparation of other composite nanomaterials.Junfeng Liu Wei Chen Xiangwen Liu Kebin Zhou Yadong Li 2008Nano Research2008,1,1:16

5Molecular dynamics simulation of single crystal Nickel nanometric machining显示文摘Molecular dynamics simulation is carried out to study the nanometric machining of single crystal Nickel(Ni). Through an investigation of atomic displacement and the variation of cutting force, it is found that the latter is in accordance with the number variation of elastic displaced atoms in the workpiece. It is further found that the generation of complex stacking faults is the predominant cause of cutting force fluctuation, and the stacking faults with complex structures lead to work-hardening. The temperature of the cutting tool and workpiece is studied during the machining process. It is concluded that the selection of averaging steps has a significant influence on the system temperature distribution. 8Ordered two-dimensional porous Co3O4 nanosheets as electrocatalysts for rechargeable Li-O2 batteries显示文摘Lithium-oxygen batteries have attracted considerable interest in the past a few years, because they have higher theoretical specific energy than Li-ion batteries. However, the available en ergy den sities of the Li-O2 batteries are much less than expected. It is particularly urgent to find catalyst with high activity. Herein, a series of Co3O4 with differe nt morphologies (ordered two-dimensio nal porous nano sheets, flowerlike and cuboidlike) were successfully prepared through facile hydrothermal and calcinatio n methods. Ordered two-dime nsional Co3O4 nano sheets show the best cycling stability. Detailed experimental results reveal that the superiority of the unique two-dimensional uniform porous structures is vital for Li-O2 batteries cathode catalysts. 10Temperature-dependence of acoustic fatigue life for thermal protection structures显示文摘Acoustic fatigue life evaluation is essential for thermal protection structures due to the severe thermo-acoustic load in service. A study on temperaturedependence of acoustic fatigue life for a C/SiC panel is presented in this paper.Effects of temperature on both the structural responses and the S–N curves are investigated. The Dirlik method is adopted to predict the fatigue life of a C/SiC panel at three different temperatures respectively. Significant differences are observed from the results of numerical simulations between the fatigue lives of the panel in the three cases. 11Efficient modeling of cable-pulley system with friction based on arbitrary-Lagrangian-Eulerian approach显示文摘In conventional modeling of a cable-pulley system, the cable must be finely meshed with Lagrangian elements for valid contact detections with pulleys, leading to extremely low efficiency. The sliding joint method based on the arbitrary-LagrangianEulerian(ALE) formulation still lacks an efficient cable element, and in particular, modeling of friction between a sliding joint and the cable has not been studied. This paper presents efficient multi-body modeling of a cable-pulley system with friction. A variablelength cable element with a node movable along the cable, which is described with ALE,is developed to mesh the cable. A transitional cable element is then proposed to model the contact part of the cable by fixing its two nodes to the two corresponding locations of the pulley. Friction of the cable-pulley is derived as a simple law of tension decay and embedded in the multi-body system modeling. It is simplified as a generalized friction force acting only on the arc-length coordinate. 12Report of a chiton in the genus Leptochiton (Lepidopleurida:Lepidopleurina:Leptochitonidae) from the Yap Trench in the West Pacific Ocean显示文摘Two chiton specimens were collected from sedimentary habitat by China’s manned Jiaolong submersible diving to a depth of 6 754 m in the north of the Yap Trench.This is a new locality record for chiton.Both morphological and molecular data support that the two specimens are the same species belonging to the genus Leptochiton.Morphologically,this species strongly resembles L.vanbellei and L.deforgesi.Phylogenetically,it has a close evolutionary relationship with L.vanbellei,L.deforgesi and L.boucheti.This is the third deepest record for deepsea chitons so far.WANG Chunsheng ZHOU Yadong JIANG Dan HAN Jie 2018Acta Oceanologica Sinica2018,37,10:3
13Spatial and temporal variability and size fractionation of chlorophyll a in the tropical and subtropical Pacific Ocean显示文摘The spatial and temporal variability and size fractionation of chlorophyll a(Chl a) were investigated in the tropical and subtropical Pacific Ocean during four survey cruises from 2005 to 2009.The surface Chl a(S-Chl a) concentration ranged from 0.002 to 0.497 mg/m 3 and was obviously higher in the eastern Pacific than in the western and central Pacific.The vertical distribution of Chl a displayed a single peak pattern,and the maximum Chl a layer(MCL) was observed at a shallower depth in the eastern Pacific than in the western Pacific.All three size fractions of Chl a measurements in the surface water showed a similar distribution to total Chl a and were found in higher concentrations in the eastern Pacific than in the western and central Pacific.Picoplankton dominated the phytoplankton in the surveyed tropical and subtropical Pacific Ocean.Furthermore,pico-Chl a(0.2-2 μm) accounted for a larger percentage of the total Chl a in the central Pacific than it did in the western Pacific and eastern Pacific.In the western Pacific,there seemed to be a latitudinal variability in the phytoplankton community composition where small-sized phytoplankton(<2 μm) were more dominant in the tropical than in the subtropical western Pacific.The spatial and temporal variability and size fractionation of Chl a were controlled by hydrological and chemical characteristics and climate events,such as El Nin o and La Nin a.ZHANG Dongsheng WANG Chunsheng LIU Zhensheng XU Xuewei WANG Xiaogu ZHOU Yadong 2012Acta Oceanologica Sinica2012,31,3:3
14The distribution of chlorophyll a in the tropical eastern Indian Ocean in austral summer显示文摘To study the effect of hydrographic factors on the spatial distributions of chlorophyll a (Chl a), an investigation was carried out in the tropical eastern Indian Ocean (80 -100 E along 7 S, and 7 -18 S along 80 E) in December 2010. The fluorescent method was used to obtain total Chl a and size-fractioned Chl a at the 26 stations. The results show that surface Chl a concentration averaged at (0.168 ± 0.095) mg/m 3 s.d. (range: 0.034-0.475 mg/m 3 ), concentrations appeared to be higher in the west for longitudinal variations, and higher in the north for latitudinal variations. Furthermore, the surface Chl a concentration was lower (0.034-0.066 mg/m 3 ) in the region to the south of 16 S. There was a strong subsurface Chl a maximum layer at all stations and the depth of the Chl a maximum increased towards to the east and south along with the respective nitracline. The spatial variation of Chl a was significant: correlation and regression analysis suggests that it was primarily affected by PO 3 4 , N(NO 3 -N+NO 2 -N) and temperature. Size-fractionated Chl a concentration clearly showed that the study area was a typical oligotrophic open ocean, in which picophytoplankton dominated, accounting for approximately 67.8% of total Chl a, followed by nanophytoplankton (24.5%) and microphytoplankton (7.6%). 15Frequency-dependent random fatigue of panel-type structures made of ceramic matrix composites显示文摘The panel-type structures used in aerospace engineering can be subjected to severe highfrequency acoustic loadings in service. This paper evaluates the frequency-dependent random fatigue of panel-type structures made of ceramic matrix composites(CMCs) under acoustic loadings. Firstly, the high-frequency random responses from the broadband random excitation will result in more stress cycles in a deinite period of time. The probability density distributions of stress amplitudes will be different in different frequency bandwidths, though the peak stress estimations are identical. Secondly, the fatigue properties of CMCs can be highly frequency-dependent. The fatigue evaluation method for the random vibration case is adopted to evaluate the fatigue damage of a representative stiffened panel structure. The frequency effect through S-N curves on random fatigue damage is numerically veriied. 16Plasma-electrified up-carbonization for low-carbon clean energy显示文摘Low-value,renewable,carbon-rich resources,with different biomass feedstocks and their derivatives as typical examples,represent virtually inexhaustive carbon sources and carbon-related energy on Earth.Upon conversion to higher-value forms(referred to as“up-carbonization”here),these abundant feedstocks provide viable opportunities for energy-rich fuels and sustainable platform chemicals production.However,many of the current methods for such up-carbonization still lack sufficient energy,cost,and material efficiency,which affect their economics and carbon-emissions footprint.With external electricity precisely delivered,discharge plasmas enable many stubborn reactions to occur under mild conditions,by creating locally intensified and highly reactive environments.This technology emerges as a novel,versatile technology platform for integrated or stand-alone conversion of carbon-rich resources.The plasma-based processes are compatible for integration with increasingly abundant and cost-effective renewable electricity,making the whole conversion carbon-neutral and further paving the plasma-electrified upcarbonization to be performance-,environment-,and economics-viable.Despite the chief interest in this emerging area,no review article brings together the state-of-the-art results from diverse disciplines and underlies basic mechanisms and chemistry underpinned.As such,this review aims to fill this gap and provide basic guidelines for future research and transformation,by providing an overview of the application of plasma techniques for carbon-rich resource conversion,with particular focus on the perspective of discharge plasmas,the fundamentals of why plasmas are particularly suited for upcarbonization,and featured examples of plasma-enabled resource valorization.With parallels drawn and specificity highlighted,we also discuss the technique shortcomings,current challenges,and research needs for future work.Rusen Zhou Yadong Zhao Renwu Zhou Tianqi Zhang Patrick Cullen Yao Zheng Liming Dai Kostya(Ken)Ostrikov 2023Carbon Energy2023,5,1:2

18Right anterior cingulate gyrus in encephalic region associated with integrating and processing Chinese words information in working memory: A functional magnetic resonance imaging study显示文摘BACKGROUND: Many experimental results have been found in previous studies on whether laterality of brain cingulate gyrus exists in processing Chinese words information. OBJECTIVE: To observe the function of right anterior cingulate gyrus and activation showed by MRI in processing Chinese words in a visual working memory judgment tasks, and evaluate the laterality of activated brain regions. DESIGN: Observation experiment. SETTING: The Medical Psychological Research Center, Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University. PARTICIPANTS: Thirteen healthy volunteers (7 males and 6 females), aged (29±7)years ranging from 23 to 36 years old, participated in this fMRI study during August 2003 to Febuary 2004. They gave informed consent in accordance with guidelines set by Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University. All subjects were native Chinese speakers and strongly right handed. METHODS: In this study, Chinese numeral words were used as test materials and test mode of Sternberg was used in cognitive task, it was aimed to investigate the encephalic region involved in the storage and processing of Chinese numerical information. ①The head of subject was fixed with dense foam pad. Visual working task was performed according to the requests. Verbal working task was that the subject saw target items for four numerals written in Chinese, presenting for 1.5 s and then, after a short time by blank for 3.0 s. The subject saw one numeral presenting for 1.5 s and had to press one button if it was one of the shown numbers and another button if it did not belong to the presented numbers. There were two visual working memory stimuli in each stimulation block. The experiment was conducted in a single run, which consisted of seven blocks of visual working memory tasks. Different Chinese numerals were displayed in each block to avoid any practice effect (The response rate of the whole working memory task was 50%). ②The activation of brain was scanned with a 1.5T MRI scanner (GE Signa Twinspeed) (slice thickness 5 mm, slice gap 1.5 mm, slice parallel to line between pars geniculate and splenium in corpus callosum from corona capitis to superior part of cerebellum, totally 16 to 18 layers). ③The obtained images were pre-processed and statistically analysed with SPM 99 software. The procedure included timeslice adjusted, realigned, nomalized and smoothed. According to experimental task, data from each subject were analysed to obtain t value of each voxel. Brain activation image was got by Student’s t test and statistic was presented by pseudo-color. Statistical parameter image was formed by overlapping brain activation image on three-dimensional structure image, and the threshold value was set at P < 0.05 with ten or more continous voxels (T ≥ 4.64, K ≥ 10 voxels). The brain activation images of all the subjects were calculated and overlapped into mean brain activation images. The regions with different activation density were found out. The activation voxels in regions-of-interest were checked to calculate a laterality index for each condition. The negative value indicated right hemisphere dominance. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: fMRI activation and laterality coefficient of Chinese numerial working task. RESULTS: Thirteen healthy subjects participated in the result analysis. ①fMRI activation of Chinese numerial working task: The results showed that the working memory task with Chinese words not only activated left cerebral cortex including left superior frontal gyrus (BA6/10), left middle frontal gyrus (BA9), left inferior frontal gyrus (BA45/9/47), but also activated right cerebral cortex including right middle frontal gyrus (BA10/46/8), right inferior frontal lobe (BA47). Specially, peak activation was located in right anterior cingulate gyrus (BA32) with an activation volume of 879 (voxels). It indicated that superior, middle and inferior frontal gyrus, bilateral Broca regions and anterior cingutate involved in the working memory of Chinese words. ②Asymmertry index : The asymmetry index was -0.47 for frontal lobe, +0.42 for temporal lobe, +0.14 for parietal lobe and -1.00 for occipital lobe. It indicated that the right frontal lobe, left temporal lobe, left parietal lobe and right occipital lobe were more involved in the Chinese numerial working task. CONCLUSION: Brain activation in processing Chinese words in the visual working memory task broadly involves both the left and right hemisphere cortex. 19Gas sensors for CO_2 detection based on RGO–PEI films at room temperature显示文摘In this paper,polyethyleneimine(PEI)and reduced graphene oxide(RGO)were selected as sensing materials for carbon dioxide detection.Two kinds of sensors with different sensitive film structures,i.e.,RGO–PEI composite film and RGO–PEI bi-layer film were fabricated by airbrushing the sensitive films on interdigitated electrodes.Response performances of both sensors at room temperature were investigated.Results showed that sensors with bi-layer film exhibited smaller baseline drift and more stable sensing characteristics than the counterparts with composite film.Furthermore,bi-layer film sensors with different quantity of PEI solution deposited were studied.Performances of long-time stability,repeatability,low concentration of detection for carbon dioxide,and measurements of response time and recovery time were investigated.It was found that appropriate weight ratio of RGO and PEI was critical for sensing response.In addition,the sensor with bi-layer film exhibited a better repeatability but had longer response time and recovery time than RGO single-layer sensor,and both of them could detect as low as20 parts per million carbon dioxide gas.Sensing responses of the prepared sensors to carbon dioxide under dry air or nitrogen were compared.The relevant sensing mechanisms were studied as well.Yong Zhou Yadong Jiang Guangzhong Xie Mei Wu Huiling Tai 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,17:2
