1Global Dynamic Molecular Profiling of Stomatal Lineage Cell Development by Single-Cell RNA Sequencing显示文摘The regulation of stomatal lineage cell development has been extensively investigated.However,a comprehensive characterization of this biological process based on single-cell transcriptome analysis has not yet been reported.In this study,we performed RNA sequencing on 12844 individual cells from the cotyledons of 5-day-old Arabidopsis seedlings.We identified 11 cell clusters corresponding mostly to cells at specific stomatal developmental stages using a series of marker genes.Comparative analysis of genes with the highest variable expression among these cell clusters revealed transcriptional networks that regulate development from meristemoid mother cells to guard mother cells.Examination of the developmental dynamics of marker genes via pseudo-time analysis revealed potential interactions between these genes.Collectively,our study opens the door for understanding how the identified novel marker genes participate in the regulation of stomatal lineage cell development.Zhixin Liu Yaping Zhou Jinggong Guo Jiaoai Li Zixia Tian Zhinan Zhu Jiajing Wang Rui Wu Bo Zhang Yongjian Hu Yijing Sun Yan Shangguan Weiqiang Li Tao Li Yunhe Hu Chenxi Guo Jean-David Rochaix Yuchen Miao Xuwu Sun 2020Molecular Plant2020,13,8:11
2Transcription factors AS1 and AS2 interact with LHP1 to repress KNOX genes in Arabidopsis显示文摘Polycomb group proteins are important repressors of numerous genes in higher eukaryotes. However, the mechanism by which Polycomb group proteins are recruited to specific genes is poorly understood. In Arabidopsis, LIKE HETEROCHROMATIN PROTEIN 1(LHP1), also known as TERMINAL FLOWER 2, was originally proposed as a subunit of polycomb repressive complex 1(PRC1) that could bind the tri-methylated lysine 27 of histone H3(H3K27me3) established by the PRC2. In this work, we show that LHP1 mainly functions with PRC2 to establish H3K27me3, but not with PRC1 to catalyze monoubiquitination at lysine 119 of histone H2 A. Our results show that complexes of the transcription factors ASYMMETRIC LEAVES 1(AS1) and AS2 could help to establish the H3K27me3 modification at the chromatin regions of Class-I KNOTTED1-like homeobox(KNOX) genes BREVIPEDICELLUS andKNAT2 via direct interactions with LHP1. 3Ethylenediurea(EDU) pretreatment alleviated the adverse effects of elevated O3 on Populus alba 'Berolinensis' in an urban area显示文摘Ethylenediurea(EDU)has been used as a chemical protectant against ozone(O3).However,its protective effect and physiological mechanisms are still uncertain.The present study aimed to investigate the changes of foliar visible injury,physiological characteristics and emission rates of volatile organic compounds(VOCs)in one-year-old Populus alba'Berolinensis'saplings pretreated with EDU and exposed to elevated O3(EO,120μg/m3).The results showed that foliar visible injury symptoms under EO were significantly alleviated in plants with EDU application(p<0.05).Under EO,net photosynthetic rate,the maximum photochemical efficiency of PSII and the photochemical efficiency of PSII of plants pretreated with 300 and600 mg/L EDU were similar to unexposed controls and significantly higher compared to EOstressed plants without EDU pretreatment,respectively.Malondialdehyde content was highest in EO without EDU and decreased significantly by 14.9%and 21.3%with 300 and600 mg/L EDU pretreatment,respectively.EDU pretreatment alone increased superoxide dismutase activity by 10-fold in unexposed plants with further increases of 88.4%and 37.5%in EO plants pretreated with 300 and 600 mg/L EDU pretreatment,respectively(p<0.05).Abscisic acid content declined under EO relative to unexposed controls with the effect partially reversed by EDU pretreatments.Similarly,VOCs emission rate declined under EO relative to unexposed plants with a recovery of emission rate observed with 300 and 600 mg/L EDU pretreatment.These findings provided significant evidence that EDU exerted a beneficial effect and protection on the tested plants against O3 stress.Sheng Xu Xingyuan He Kent Burkey Wei Chen Pin Li Yan Li Bo Li Yijing Wang 2019Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,10:4
4Number-resolved master equation approach to quantum transport under the self-consistent Born approximation显示文摘We construct a particle-number(n)-resolved master equation(ME) approach under the self-consistent Born approximation(SCBA) for quantum transport through mesoscopic systems.The formulation is essentially non-Markovian and incorporates the interplay of the multi-tunneling processes and many-body correlations.The proposed n-SCBA-ME goes beyond the scope of the BornMarkov master equation,being applicable to transport under small bias voltage,in non-Markovian regime and with strong Coulomb correlations.For steady state,it can recover not only the exact result of noninteracting transport under arbitrary voltages,but also the challenging nonequilibrium Kondo efect.Moreover,the n-SCBA-ME approach is efcient for the study of shot noise.We demonstrate the application by a couple of representative examples,including particularly the nonequilibrium Kondo system.LIU Yu JIN JinShuang LI Jun LI XinQi YAN YiJing 2013Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2013,56,10:2
5Effect of annealing treatment on microstructures,mechanical properties and cavitation erosion performance of high velocity oxy-fuel sprayed NiCoCrAlYTa coating显示文摘The mechanical parts serving in the marine environment are up against the dual damage of corrosion and cavitation erosion,so the Ni Co Cr Al YTa coating with excellent corrosion resistance is successfully prepared by high velocity oxy-fuel(HVOF)sprayed technology to protect the equipment from deterioration.The chemical composition and mechanical properties as well as the microstructure evolution of the coating before and after annealing treatment are studied.At the same time,the influence of annealing treatment on the corrosion and cavitation erosion behaviors of the coating is investigated,as well.The NiCoCrAlYTa coating mainly containsγ-Ni,β-Ni Al,andγ’-Ni3Al phases.During the deposition,the microcrystals or incomplete crystals generate in the interior of the coating because of the large temperature difference and impact force.Meanwhile,there is twin crystal structure in the as-spayed coating.After annealing treatment,the growth of grains and the segregation of reactive elements improve interface strength and inhibit the formation of micro-defects in the coating.The annealing temperature is of significance to the microstructure,mechanical properties,anti-corrosion and cavitation erosion resistance of the coating.This study provides a combined approach toward improving the corrosion and cavitation erosion resistance of NiCoCrAlYTa coatings.Enkang Hao Yulong An Xia Liu Yijing Wang Huidi Zhou Fengyuan Yan 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,52,18:2
6Recent advances in hydrogel-based anti-infective coatings显示文摘Bacterial infections associated with biomedical devices and implants have posed a great challenge to global healthcare systems.These infections are mainly caused by bacterial biofilm formed on the surface of biomaterials,protecting the encapsulated bacteria from conventional antibiotic treatment and attack of the immune system.As the bacterial biofilm is difficult to eradicate,bactericidal and antifouling coatings have emerged as promising strategies to prevent biofilm fo rmation and subsequent infections.Hydrogels with three-dimensional crosslinked hydrophilic networks,tunable mechanical property and large drugloading capacity are desirable coating materials,which can kill bacteria and/or prevent bacterial adhesion on the surface,inhibiting biofilm formation.Herein,we review recent developments of hydrogels as anti-infective coatings.Particularly,we highlight two chemical approaches(graft-from and graft-to),which have been used to immobilize hydrogels on surfaces,and present advances in the development of bactericidal(contact-killing and antimicrobial-releasing),antifouling(hydrophilic polymer network)and bifunctional hydrogel coatings with both bactericidal and antifouling activities.In addition,the challe nges of hydrogel coatings for clinical applications are discussed,and future research directions of anti-infective hydrogel coatings are proposed.Mengjing Fu Yijing Liang Xue Lv Chengnan Li Yi Yan Yang Peiyan Yuan Xin Ding 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,26:1
7Comparative Study on Coastal Depth Inversion Based on Multi-source Remote Sensing Data显示文摘Coastal depth is an important research focus of coastal waters and is also a key factor in coastal environment. Dongluo Island in South China Sea was taken as a typical study area. The band ratio model was established by using measured points and three multispectral images of Landsat-8, SPOT-6(Systeme Probatoire d'Observation de la Terre, No.6) and WorldView-2. The band ratio model with the highest accuracy is selected for the depth inversion respectively. The results show that the accuracy of SPOT-6 image is the highest in the inversion of coastal depth. Meanwhile, analyzing the error of inversion from different depth ranges, the accuracy of the inversion is lower in the range of 0–5 m because of the influence of human activities. The inversion accuracy of 5–10 m is the highest, and the inversion error increases with the increase of water depth in the range of 5–20 m for the three kinds of satellite images. There is no linear relationship between the accuracy of remote sensing water depth inversion and spatial resolution of remote sensing data, and it is affected by performance and parameters of sensor. 15Daily CO_(2) Emission Reduction Indicates the Control of Activities to Contain COVID-19 in China显示文摘Lockdown measures are essential to containing the spread of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),but they will slow down economic growth by reducing industrial and commercial activities.However,the benefits of activity control from containing the pandemic have not been examined and assessed.Here we use daily carbon dioxide(CO_(2))emission reduction in China estimated from statistical data for energy consumption and satellite data for nitrogen dioxide(NO_(2))measured by the Ozone Monitoring Instrument(OMI)as an indicator for reduced activities consecutive to a lockdown.We perform a correlation analysis to show that a 1%day-1 decrease in the rate of COVID-19 cases is associated with a reduction in daily CO_(2) emissions of 0.22%±0.02%using statistical data for energy consumption relative to emissions without COVID-19,or 0.20%±0.02%using satellite data for atmospheric column NO_(2).We estimate that swift action in China is effective in limiting the number of COVID-19 cases<100,000 with a reduction in CO_(2) emissions of up to 23%by the end of February 2020,whereas a 1-week delay would have required greater containment and a doubling of the emission reduction to meet the same goal.By analyzing the costs of health care and fatalities,we find that the benefits on public health due to reduced activities in China are 10-fold larger than the loss of gross domestic product.Our findings suggest an unprecedentedly high cost of maintaining activities and CO_(2) emissions during the COVID-19 pandemic and stress substantial benefits of containment in public health by taking early actions to reduce activities during the outbreak of COVID-19.Rong Wang Yuankang Xiong Xiaofan Xing Ruipu Yang Jiarong Li Yijing Wang Junji Cao Yves Balkanski Josep Peñuelas Philippe Ciais Didier Hauglustaine Jordi Sardans Jianmin Chen Jianmin Ma Tang Xu Haidong Kan Yan Zhang Tomohiro Oda Lidia Morawska Renhe Zhang Shu Tao 2020The Innovation2020,1,3:1

19Structure and electrochemical performance of hydrogen storage alloy La_(0.7)Mg_(0.3)Ni_(2.875)Co_(0.525)Mn_(0.1)-boron composite显示文摘The structure and electrochemical characteristics of La0.7Mg0.3Ni2.875Co0.525Mn0.1-boron composite was studied systematically. The AB3 type hydrogen storage alloys La0.7Mg0.3Ni2.875Co0.525Mn0.1 were successfully synthesized by means of inter-media alloy La2Mg17. The alloys were composited with boron at different weight rate. From the XRD analyses, each alloy of this series is mainly composed of (La,Mg)Ni3 phase and the LaNi5 phase, and the phase abundance of each phase varies with the boron weight rate, moreover, after composition, the c and cell volumes of (La,Mg)Ni3 phase increase, and the LaNi5 phase keep the same, which indicate that the boron may enter (La,Mg)Ni3 phase. The electrochemical studies show that the maximum discharge capacity of the composites decreases, but the cycling life improved.
