| 1 | A draft sequence of the rice (Oryza sativa ssp. indica) genome显示文摘The sequence of the rice genome holds fundamental information for its biology, including physiology, genetics, development, and evolution, as well as information on many beneficial phenotypes of economic significance. Using a 'whole genome shotgun' approach, we have pro-duced a draft rice genome sequence of Oryza sativa ssp. in-dica, the major crop rice subspecies in China and many other regions of Asia. The draft genome sequence is constructed from over 4.3 million successful sequencing traces with an accumulative total length of 2214.9 Mb. The initial assembly of the non-redundant sequences reached 409.76 Mb in length, based on 3.30 million successful sequencing traces with a total length of 1797.4 Mb from an indica variant cultivar 93-11, giving an estimated coverage of 95.29% of the rice genome with an average base accuracy of higher than 99%. | 3 | Metallogenic Age of Dapinggou Gold Deposit in Northern Altun Area, Northwestern China显示文摘Studying the metallogenic age of Dapinggou gold deposit may provide important material not only for the study of metallization and the further prospecting of gold deposits but also for research into tectonic evolution in the Altun area. In this study, we used Rb-Sr isotopic dating method of fluid inclusion in the Au-bearing quartz, combining field investigation, REE, sulfur isotopes, lead isotopes, strontium isotopes and hydrogen-oxygen isotope, to determine the metallogenic age of the Dapinggou gold deposit. The only newly-discovered medium-sized gold deposit in the northern Altun area, Dapinggou gold deposit, is controlled by a ductile shear zone. It is characterized by mainly altered mylonite-types with a little K-feldspar quartz vein-types. Data from REE, sulfur isotopes, lead isotopes and strontium isotopes show that the source materials of the deposit were derived mainly from the metamorphic rocks. The data from the inclusion and hydrogen-oxygen isotope indicate that the ore-forming fluid came mainly from dynamic metamorphic water and partly from remelting magmatic water, with a little influence from meteoric water. The density of the ore-forming fluid is 0.791-0.971 g/cm3 and it contains 2.36 %-5.5 % salinity. The gold deposit was formed at 1.61-2.68 km below the surface at a temperature of 198-290 ℃ and a pressure of (420-700)×105 Pa. The isotopic age from the Rb-Sr isochron of fluid inclusion in quartz is 487 Ma, which indicates that the mineralization occurred in the early Caledonian epoch. | 4 | Learning Context-based Embeddings for Knowledge Graph Completion显示文摘Purpose:Due to the incompleteness nature of knowledge graphs(KGs),the task of predicting missing links between entities becomes important.Many previous approaches are static,this posed a notable problem that all meanings of a polysemous entity share one embedding vector.This study aims to propose a polysemous embedding approach,named KG embedding under relational contexts(ContE for short),for missing link prediction.Design/methodology/approach:ContE models and infers different relationship patterns by considering the context of the relationship,which is implicit in the local neighborhood of the relationship.The forward and backward impacts of the relationship in ContE are mapped to two different embedding vectors,which represent the contextual information of the relationship.Then,according to the position of the entity,the entity’s polysemous representation is obtained by adding its static embedding vector to the corresponding context vector of the relationship.Findings:ContE is a fully expressive,that is,given any ground truth over the triples,there are embedding assignments to entities and relations that can precisely separate the true triples from false ones.ContE is capable of modeling four connectivity patterns such as symmetry,antisymmetry,inversion and composition.Research limitations:ContE needs to do a grid search to find best parameters to get best performance in practice,which is a time-consuming task.Sometimes,it requires longer entity vectors to get better performance than some other models.Practical implications:ContE is a bilinear model,which is a quite simple model that could be applied to large-scale KGs.By considering contexts of relations,ContE can distinguish the exact meaning of an entity in different triples so that when performing compositional reasoning,it is capable to infer the connectivity patterns of relations and achieves good performance on link prediction tasks.Originality/value:ContE considers the contexts of entities in terms of their positions in triples and the relationships they link to.It decomposes a relation vector into two vectors,namely,forward impact vector and backward impact vector in order to capture the relational contexts.ContE has the same low computational complexity as TransE.Therefore,it provides a new approach for contextualized knowledge graph embedding. | Fei Pu Zhongwei Zhang Yan Feng Bailin Yang | 2022 | Journal of Data and Information Science2022,7,2: | 3 |
| 5 | Transcriptome analysis of near-isogenic lines provides molecular insights into starch biosynthesis in maize kernel显示文摘Starch is the major component in maize kernels,providing a stable carbohydrate source for humans and livestock as well as raw material for the biofuel industry.Increasing maize kernel starch content will help meet industry demands and has the potential to increase overall yields.We developed a pair of maize near-isogenic lines(NILs) with different alleles for a starch quantitative trait locus on chromosome 3(q HS3), resulting in different kernel starch content. To investigate the candidate genes for q HS3 and elucidate their effects on starch metabolism, RNA-Seq was performed for the developing kernels of the NILs at 14 and 21 d after pollination(DAP). Analysis of genomic and transcriptomic data identified 76 genes with nonsynonymous single nucleotide polymorphisms and 384 differentially expressed genes(DEGs) in the in trogressed fragment, including a hexokinase gene, Zm HXK3 a, which catalyzes the conversion of glucose to glucose-6-phosphate and may play a key role instarch metabolism. The expression pattern of all DEGs in starch metabolism shows that altered expression of the candidate genes for q HS3 promoted starch synthesis,with positive consequences for kernel starch content. | 6 | Evaluation of menopausal status among breast cancer patients with chemotherapy-induced amenorrhea显示文摘Objective: In patients with chemotherapy-induced amenorrhea(CIA), the menopausal status is ambiguous and difficult to evaluate. This study aimed to establish a discriminative model to predict and classify the menopausal status of breast cancer patients with CIA.Methods: This is a single center hospital-based study from 2013 to 2016. The menopausal age distribution and accumulated incidence rate of CIA are described. Multivariate models were adjusted for established and potential confounding factors including age, serum concentration of estradiol(E2) and follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH),feeding, pregnancy, parity, abortions, and body mass index(BMI). The odds ratio(OR) and 95% confidence interval(95% CI) of different risk factors were estimated.Results: A total of 1,796 breast cancer patients were included in this study, among whom, 1,175(65.42%) were premenopausal patients and 621(34.58%) were post-menopause patients. Five hundred and fifty patients were included in CIA analysis, and a cumulative CIA rate of 81.64% was found in them. Age(OR: 1.856, 95% CI:1.732-1.990), serum concentration of E2(OR: 0.976, 95% CI: 0.972-0.980) and FSH(OR: 1.060, 95% CI:1.053-1.066), and menarche age(OR: 1.074, 95% CI: 1.009-1.144) were found to be associated with the patients' menopausal status. According to multivariate analysis, the discriminative model to predict the menopausal status is Logit(P)=-28.396+0.536 Age-0.014 E2+0.031 FSH. The sensitivities for this model were higher than 85%, and its specificities were higher than 89%.Conclusions: The discriminative model obtained from this study for predicting menstrual state is important for premenopausal patients with CIA. | 7 | No-reference synthetic image quality assessment with convolutional neural network and local image saliency显示文摘Depth-image-based rendering(DIBR) is widely used in 3 DTV, free-viewpoint video, and interactive 3 D graphics applications. Typically, synthetic images generated by DIBR-based systems incorporate various distortions, particularly geometric distortions induced by object dis-occlusion. Ensuring the quality of synthetic images is critical to maintaining adequate system service. However, traditional 2 D image quality metrics are ineffective for evaluating synthetic images as they are not sensitive to geometric distortion. In this paper, we propose a novel no-reference image quality assessment method for synthetic images based on convolutional neural networks, introducing local image saliency as prediction weights. Due to the lack of existing training data, we construct a new DIBR synthetic image dataset as part of our contribution. Experiments were conducted on both the public benchmark IRCCyN/IVC DIBR image dataset and our own dataset. | 11 | IAACS: Image aesthetic assessment through color composition and space formation显示文摘Background Determining how an image is visually appealing is a complicated and subjective task. This motivates the use of a machine-learning model to evaluate image aesthetics automatically by matching the aesthetics of the general public. Although deep learning methods have successfully learned good visual features from images,correctly assessing the aesthetic quality of an image remains a challenge for deep learning. Methods To address this, we propose a novel multiview convolutional neural network to assess image aesthetics assessment through color composition and space formation(IAACS). Specifically, from different views of an image––including its key color components and their contributions, the image space formation, and the image itself––our network extracts the corresponding features through our proposed feature extraction module(FET) and the Image Net weight-based classification model. Result By fusing the extracted features, our network produces an accurate prediction score distribution for image aesthetics. | 14 | Design of Landslide Warning System显示文摘Aiming at geological disaster monitoring and prevention work, a real-time monitoring and early warning system is proposed for low-power consumption of landslides to meet the needs of landslide monitoring in remote mountainous areas. The inclination angle of the mountain body was detected by a mechanical inclination sensor, and a plurality of inclination sensors were placed on each landslide body to form an array distribution. The landslide body was stereoscopically monitored. Each mesh node had a different node address, and different inclination thresholds were set in advance. When the sensor detection value reached the threshold, an alarm message was sent to the system main control end, and the main control end generated an audible and visual alarm, and an alarm message was sent at the same time. Compared with the current landslide warning system on the market, the system achieves expected results and its power consumption is extremely low. The sensor terminal of the mountain monitoring is powered by dry battery and can work for 6 years in the field without external power supply. | 17 | Non-Contact Blood Pressure Measurement Based on IPPG显示文摘Blood pressure is an important physiological parameter to reflect human vital signs.In order to achieve the non-contact dynamic blood pressure acquisition based on ordinary optical camera,a theoretical understanding of the functional relationship between blood pressure and pulse wave signal conduction time.And through imaging photoelectric plethysmography(IPPG),pulse wave signal conduction time of forehead and hand was obtained with ordinary optical camera.First,the pulse wave conduction time was obtained by recording the video with an ordinary optical camera.Second,real-time blood pressure values were collected.Finally,based on the relationship between blood pressure and pulse wave conduction time,a non-contact blood pressure measurement prediction model was obtained through neural network fitting.So that non-contact blood pressure measurement with optical camera could be completed.The method in this paper has several advantages,such as low requirements on measuring equipment,low cost,and simple operation.It can let people get rid of the discomfort caused by measuring equipment such as cuff and can measure blood pressure at any time.The predicted blood pressure results were compared with an Omron wrist electronic sphygmomanometer.The calculated error of systolic blood pressure is-9.28%~3.16%,and the error of diastolic blood pressure is-9.84~4.35%. | Jiancheng Zou Shouyu Zhou Bailin Ge Xin Yang | 2021 | Journal of New Media2021,3,2: | 0 |
