4Mapping the magnetic field in the solar corona through magnetoseismology显示文摘Magnetoseismology,a technique of magnetic field diagnostics based on observations of magnetohydrodynamic(MHD)waves,has been widely used to estimate the field strengths of oscillating structures in the solar corona.However,previously magnetoseismology was mostly applied to occasionally occurring oscillation events,providing an estimate of only the average field strength or one-dimensional distribution of field strength along an oscillating structure.This restriction could be eliminated if we apply magnetoseismology to the pervasive propagating transverse MHD waves discovered with the Coronal Multi-channel Polarimeter(CoMP).Using several CoMP observations of the Fe xiii 1074.7 nm and 1079.8 nm spectral lines,we obtained maps of the plasma density and wave phase speed in the corona,which allow us to map both the strength and direction of the coronal magnetic field in the plane of sky.We also examined distributions of the electron density and magnetic field strength,and compared their variations with height in the quiet Sun and active regions.Such measurements could provide critical information to advance our understanding of the Sun's magnetism and the magnetic coupling of the whole solar atmosphere.YANG ZiHao TIAN Hui TOMCZYK Steven MORTON Richard BAI XianYong SAMANTA Tanmoy CHEN YaJie 2020Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,11:8
5OSBPL2-disrupted pigs recapitulate dual features of human hearing loss and hypercholesterolaemia显示文摘Oxysterol binding protein like 2(OSBPL2), an important regulator in cellular lipid metabolism and transport, was identified as a novel deafness-causal gene in our previous work. To resemble the phenotypic features of OSBPL2 mutation in animal models and elucidate the potential genotypephenotype associations, the OSBPL2-disrupted Bama miniature(BM) pig model was constructed using CRISPR/Cas9-mediated gene editing, somatic cell nuclear transfer(SCNT) and embryo transplantation approaches, and then subjected to phenotypic characterization of auditory function and serum lipid profiles. The OSBPL2-disrupted pigs displayed progressive hearing loss(HL) with degeneration/apoptosis of cochlea hair cells(HCs) and morphological abnormalities in HC stereocilia, as well as hypercholesterolaemia. High-fat diet(HFD) feeding aggravated the development of HL and led to more severe hypercholesterolaemia. 7Cellulose fibers-reinforced self-expanding porous composite with multiple hemostatic efficacy and shape adaptability for uncontrollable massive hemorrhage treatment显示文摘Uncontrollable hemorrhage leads to high mortality and thus effective bleeding control becomes increasingly important in the military field and civilian trauma arena.However,current hemostats not only present limitation when treating major bleeding,but also have various side effects.Here we report a self-expanding porous composites(CMCP)based on novel carboxymethyl cellulose(CMC)fibers and acetalized polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)for lethal hemorrhage control.The CMC fibers with uniform fibrous structure,high liquid absorption and procoagulant ability,are evenly interspersed inside the composite matrix.The obtained composites possess unique fiber-porous network,excellent absorption capacity,fast liquid-triggered self-expanding ability and robust fatigue resistance,and their physicochemical performance can be fine-tuned through varying the CMC content.In vitro tests show that the porous composite exhibits strong blood clotting ability,high adhesion to blood cells and protein,and the ability to activate platelet and the coagulation system.In vivo hemostatic evaluation further confirms that the CMCP presents high hemostatic efficacy and multiple hemostatic effects in swine femoral artery major hemorrhage model.Additionally,the CMCP will not fall off from the injury site,and is also easy to surgically remove from the wound cavity after the hemostasis.Importantly,results of CT tomography and 3D reconstruction indicate that CMCP can achieve shape adaptation to the surrounding tissues and the wound cavities with different depths and shapes,to accelerate hemostasis while protecting wound tissue and preventing infection.Yansen Wang Yifan Zhao Longxue Qiao Faxing Zou Yajie Xie Yudong Zheng Yong Chao Ying Yang Wei He Siming Yang 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,7:6

10Relocation of the Foreshocks and Aftershocks of the 2021 Ms 6.4 Yangbi Earthquake Sequence,Yunnan,China显示文摘An Ms 6.4 earthquake occurred in Yangbi,Yunnan,China on May 21,2021,which has obvious foreshock activity and abundant aftershocks.Based on the seismic observation data recorded by the Yunnan Seismic Network three days before and seven days after the mainshock,a doubledifference location method was used to relocate 2133 earthquakes of the Yangbi sequence.Aftershocks are mostly distributed to the southeast of the mainshock in a unilateral rupture pattern.This sequence exhibits a SE-trending linear alignment with a length of about 25 km,and most of the focal depth is above 12 km.Integrated with the seismic distribution and focal mechanism results,we infer that the strike of the seismogenic fault is about 140°,and dipping to the SW.The fault structure revealed by the seismic sequence is complex,with the NW segment exhibiting a steep dip and relatively simple structure of strike-slip rupture and the SE segment consisting of several branching ruptures.The Yangbi Earthquake is a typical foreshock-mainshock-aftershock sequence,and the mainshock is likely triggered by the largest foreshock.This earthquake occurred in the boundary between high-and lowvelocity anomalous zone,where is susceptible to generate large earthquakes.Ting Yang Boren Li Lihua Fang Youjin Su Yusheng Zhong Jingqiong Yang Min Qin Yaji Xu 2022Journal of Earth Science2022,33,4:5

12T cell-depleting nanoparticles ameliorate bone loss by reducing activated T cells and regulating the Treg/Th17 balance显示文摘Estrogen deficiency is one of the most frequent causes of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women.Under chronic inflammatory conditions caused by estrogen deficiency,activated T cells contribute to elevated levels of proinflammatory cytokines,impaired osteogenic differentiation capabilities of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMMSCs),and disturbed regulatory T cell(Treg)/Th17 cell balance.However,therapeutic strategies that re-establish immune homeostasis in this disorder have not been well developed.Here,we produced T cell-depleting nanoparticles(TDNs)that ameliorated the osteopenia phenotype and rescued the osteogenic deficiency of BMMSCs in ovariectomized(OVX)mice.TDNs consist of monocyte chemotactic protein-1(MCP-1)-encapsulated mesoporous silica nanoparticles as the core and Fas-ligand(FasL)as the corona.We showed that the delicate design of the TDNs enables rapid release of MCP-1 to recruit activated T cells and then induces their apoptosis through the conjugated FasL both in vitro and in vivo.Apoptotic signals recognized by macrophages help skew the Treg/Th17 cell balance and create an immune tolerant state,further attenuating the osteogenic deficiency of BMMSCs and the osteopenia phenotype.Mechanistically,we found that the therapeutic effects of TDNs were partially mediated by apoptotic T cell-derived extracellular vesicles(ApoEVs),which promoted macrophage transformation towards the M2 phenotype.These findings demonstrate that TDNs may represent a promising strategy for treating osteoporosis and other immune disorders.Xiaoshan Yang Fuxing Zhou Pingyun Yuan Geng Dou Xuemei Liu Siying Liu Xiangdong Wang Ronghua Jin Yan Dong Jun Zhou Yajie Lv Zhihong Deng Shiyu Liu Xin Chen Ying Han Yan Jin 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,10:4

14Molecular mechanism mediating enteric bacterial translocation after severe burn:the role of cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator显示文摘Background:Gut ischemia and hypoxia post severe burn leads to breakdown of intestinal epithelial barrier and enteric bacterial translocation(EBT),resulting in serious complications,such as systemic inflammatory response syndrome,sepsis and multiple organ failure.Cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator(CFTR)is known to be downregulated by hypoxia and modulate junctional complexes,which are crucial structures maintaining the intestinal barrier.This study aimed to investigate whether CFTR plays a role in both regulating the intestinal barrier and mediating EBT post severe burn,as well as the signaling pathways involved in these processes.Methods:An in vitro Caco-2 cell model subjected to hypoxic injury and an in vivo mouse model with a 30%total body surface area full-thickness dermal burn were established.DF 508 mice(mice with F508del CFTR gene mutation)were used as an in vivo model to further demonstrate the role of CFTR in maintaining normal intestinal barrier function.QRT-PCR,western blot,ELISA,TER assay and immunofluorescence staining were used to detect the expression and localization of CFTR and tight junction proteins,as well as the function of tight junctions.Results:Our data indicated that,in Caco-2 cells,the hypoxia condition significantly reduced CFTR expression;activated extracellular signal-regulated kinase and nuclear factor-κB signaling;elevated secretion of inflammatory factors(tumor necrosis factor-α,interleukin-1βand interleukin-8);downregulated zonula occludens-1,occludin and E-cadherin expression;decreased transepithelial electrical resistance values;and led to a cellular mislocation of ZO-1.More importantly,knockdown of CFTR caused similar alterations.The upregulation of inflammatory factors and downregulation of tight junction proteins(ZO-1 and occludin)induced by knockdown of CFTR could be reversed by specific extracellular signal-regulated kinase or nuclear factor-κB inhibition.In support of the in vitro data,exuberant secretion of pro-inflammatory mediators and EBT was observed in the intestine of severely burnt mice in vivo.EBT occurred in DF508 mice(mice with the F508del CFTR gene mutation),accompanied by augmented tumor necrosis factor-α,interleukin-1βand interleukin-8 levels in the ileum compared to wildtype mice.In addition,vitamin D3 was shown to protect the intestinal epithelial barrier from hypoxic injury.Conclusions:Collectively,the present study illustrated that CFTR and downstream signaling were critical in modulating the intestinal epithelial junction and EBT post severe burn.Xinzhu Liu Yu Chen Bo You Yuan Peng Yajie Chen Zichen Yang Yixin Zhang Jing Chen 2021Burns & Trauma2021,9,1:4

16Preparation and anisotropic thermophysical properties of SiC honeycomb/Al-Mg-Si composite via spontaneous infiltration显示文摘The SiC honeycomb/Al-Mg-Si composite with interpenetrated microstructure was prepared by spontaneous infiltration of Al-8 wt%Mg-7 wt%Si alloy into directional porous SiC honeycomb served as reinforcement. The microstructure and anisotropic thermophysical properties of this composite were also examined. The results showed that the initial microstructure of the SiC honeycomb can be retained and the as-prepared SiC honeycomb/Al-Mg-Si composite exhibited significantly anisotropic characteristics. 17Impact of the Rainfall Intensity and Seepage on Slope Stability in Loess Plateau显示文摘In recent years,with the increase of traffic construction in mountainous areas in China,road slope traffic accidents have become more and more common.In addition,natural disasters such as landslides,collapses and subgrade settlements caused by rainfall,driving load,seasonal variation and groundwater distribution are frequent.In particular,rainfall is one of the most common factors leading to slope instability(landslide).Therefore,this paper proposes the seep module based on the application software Geo-studio,and analyzes the slope soil parameters and slope stability under five types of rainfall conditions:light rain(10 mm/d),moderate rain(25 mm/d),heavy rain(50 mm/d),rainstorm(100 mm/d),and torrential rain(250 mm/d).The critical safety factor under rainfall intensity is fitted with nonlinear curve by sine function.The results show that the fitting curve of rainfall intensity and safety factor on the upper slope is excellent.The residual points are evenly distributed in the belt area of±0.1,and the data basically conform to the nonlinear sine model,indicating that the curve plays an essential role in slope health diagnosis.ZHANG Yu YANG Lixia HAN Bingbing WU Yajie 2020Earthquake Research in China2020,34,4:3
18Scenario-based modeling and solving research on robust weapon project planning problems显示文摘Weapon project planning(WPP) plays a critical role in the process of national defense development and establishment of the future national defense force. WPP faces the backgrounds of various uncertainties, intense inter-influence of weapon systems and involves modelling, assessment, and optimization procedures.The contents of this paper are mainly divided into three parts: first,the WPP processes are analyzed, and related elements are formulated to transform the qualitative problem to mathematics form;second, the value evaluation model of WPP solutions is proposed based on two criteria of total capability gap and total capability dispersion; third, two robustness optimization models are constructed based on the absolute robustness criterion and the robustness deviation criterion to support the robustness optimization process under multi-scenario. 20Effects of Different Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi on Physiology of Viola prionantha under Salt Stress显示文摘Arbuscular mycorrhizal(AM)fungi distribute widely in natural habits and play a variety of ecological functions.In order to test the physiological response to salt stress mediated by different AM fungi,Viola prionantha was selected as the host,the dominant AM fungus in the rhizosphere of V.philippica growing in Songnen saline-alkali grassland,Rhizophagus irregularis,and their mixtures were used as inoculants,and NaCl stress was applied after the roots were colonized.The results showed that V.philippica could be colonized by AM fungi in the field and the colonization rate ranged from 73.33%to 96.67%,and Claroideoglomus etunicatum was identified as the dominant AM fungi species in the rhizosphere of V.philippica by morphology combined with sequencing for AM fungal AML1/AML2 target.Inoculation with both the species resulted in the formation of mycorrhizal symbiosis(the colonization rate was more than 70%)and AM fungi significantly enhanced plants’tolerance to salt stress of varying magnitude.Higher activity of antioxidant enzymes and augmented levels of proline and other osmoregulators were observed in AM plants.The content of MDA in CK was higher than that in the inoculations with the stress of 100,200,and 250 mM.All indices except soluble protein content and MDA content were significantly correlated with AM fungal colonization indices.The analysis for different AM fungal effects showed that the mixtures and R.irregularis worked even better than C.etunicatum.These results will provide theoretical support for the exploration and screening of salt-tolerant AM fungi species and also for the application of AM-ornamental plants in saline-alkali urban greening.Yajie Liu Linlin Fang Wenna Zhao Chunxue Yang 2023Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2023,92,1:2
