| 7 | An efficient wear-leveling-aware multi-grained allocator for persistent memory file systems显示文摘Persistent memory(PM)file systems have been developed to achieve high performance by exploiting the advanced features of PMs,including nonvolatility,byte addressability,and dynamic random access memory(DRAM)like performance.Unfortunately,these PMs suffer from limited write endurance.Existing space management strategies of PM file systems can induce a severely unbalanced wear problem,which can damage the underlying PMs quickly.In this paper,we propose a Wear-leveling-aware Multi-grained Allocator,called WMAlloc,to achieve the wear leveling of PMs while improving the performance of file systems.WMAlloc adopts multiple min-heaps to manage the unused space of PMs.Each heap represents an allocation granularity.Then,WMAlloc allocates less-worn blocks from the corresponding min-heap for allocation requests.Moreover,to avoid recursive split and inefficient heap locations in WMAlloc,we further propose a bitmap-based multi-heap tree(BMT)to enhance WMAlloc,namely,WMAlloc-BMT.We implement WMAlloc and WMAlloc-BMT in the Linux kernel based on NOVA,a typical PM file system.Experimental results show that,compared with the original NOVA and dynamic wear-aware range management(DWARM),which is the state-of-the-art wear-leveling-aware allocator of PM file systems,WMAlloc can,respectively,achieve 4.11×and 1.81×maximum write number reduction and 1.02×and 1.64×performance with four workloads on average.Furthermore,WMAlloc-BMT outperforms WMAlloc with 1.08×performance and achieves 1.17×maximum write number reduction with four workloads on average. | Zhiwang YU Runyu ZHANG Chaoshu YANG Shun NIE Duo LIU | 2023 | Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering2023,24,5: | 0 |
| 8 | Sensory innervation of the anterior eye segment in rats: aretrograde tracing study显示文摘This study aimed to investigate the sensory innervation of the anterior eye segment in rats by retrograde tracing with 1,1-dioleyl-3,3,3,3-tetrameth-ylindocarbocyanine,4-chlorobenesulfonate(FAST Dil)injected into the anterior chamber.The sensory innervation of distinct elements of the anterior segment of the rat’s eye,i.e.the cornea,ciliary body,iris,and trabecular meshwork,were studied by retrograde tracing using FAST Dil as a tracer.FAST Dil was injected into the anterior chambers of the rat’s eyes.The animals were sacrificed at different time points,i.e.,2,3,4,and 5 days after the injection.FAST Dil localization in trigeminal ganglions was studied with afluorescent microscope.Two days after FAST Dil injection into the anterior chambers,the cornea,the ciliary body,the iris,and the trabecular meshwork were heavily labeled.Neurons in the ipsilateral trigeminal ganglion were also consistently labeled.The number of labeled cells increased over time until 4 days after FAST Dil injection.FAST Dil-labeled neurons could be divided into two parts.Most of the Dil-labeled neurons were concentrated in a sharp,longitudinal,spindle-like stripe,located in the dorso-medial side of the trigeminal ganglion,approximately two thirds of the dorsal portion.The other part of Dil-labeled neurons scattered laterally to the stripe,but just in one third of the dorsal region.Thus,with our preliminary results,we conclude that the primary afferent sensory neurons innervating the rat’s anterior eye segments aggregate in the dorso-medial part of the ipsilateral trigeminal ganglion.It is feasible to identify them using retrograde tracing with FAST Dil anterior chamber injection. | Haixia LIU Zhiwang LI Min YANG Xiang TIAN Lei PEI Chaoying LI | 2009 | Frontiers of Medicine2009,3,3: | 0 |
| 9 | Water-cut rising mechanism and optimized water injection technology for deepwater turbidite sandstone oilfield: A case study of AKPO Oilfield in Niger Delta Basin, West Africa显示文摘Through the analysis of the reservoir connection relationship and the water-cut rising rules after water breakthrough in the highly volatile oil AKPO oilfield, a new model of water-cut rising was established, and the timing and strategy of water injection were put forward. The water-cut rising shapes of producers after water breakthrough can be divided into three types, and their water-cut rising mechanism is mainly controlled by reservoir connectivity. For the producers which directly connect with injectors in the single-phase sand body of the single-phase channel or lobe with good reservoir connectivity, the water-cut rising curve is 'sub-convex'. For the producers which connect with injectors through sand bodies developed in multi-phases with good inner sand connectivity but poorer physical property and connectivity at the overlapping parts of sands, the response to water injection is slow and the water-cut rising curve is 'sub-concave'. For the producers which connect with injectors through multi-phase sand bodies with reservoir physical properties, connectivity in between the former two and characteristics of both direct connection and overlapping connection, the response to water injection is slightly slower and the water-cut rising curve is 'sub-S'. Based on ratio relationship of oil and water relative permeability, a new model of water cut rising was established. Through the fitting analysis of actual production data, the optimal timing and corresponding technology for water injection after water breakthrough were put forward. Composite channel and lobe reservoirs can adopt water injection strategies concentrating on improving the vertical sweep efficiency and areal sweep efficiency respectively. | 10 | Surface-rare-earth-rich upconversion nanoparticles induced by heterovalent cation exchange with superior loading capacity显示文摘Surface modification of different functional molecules onto NaREF_(4)(RE=rare earth)upconversion nanoparticles(UCNPs)impart their multiple functionalities.Functional molecules can be loaded onto NaREF_(4) UCNPs through the formation of coordination bonds between the surface-exposed RE^(3+) ions and the appropriate chemical groups of functional molecules.The density of surface RE^(3+) ions directly determines the loading efficiency of Na REF4 UCNPs.However,NaREF_(4) is a binary cation system,rendering the surface-distributed Na;and RE^(3+) ions remains a mystery.Here,we develop an effective strategy to significantly enhance the density of surface RE^(3+) ions,thus maximizing the loading capacity of NaREF_(4) UCNPs.This strategy is based on a heterovalent cation exchange(HCE)reaction in the surface region in which Na^(+)ions are replaced by RE^(3+) ions.The density of surface ligands enhances from 3.6 to 8.8 molecules/nm^(2) after reaction,suggesting that the loading efficiency increases by approximately 150%.Benefiting from the improved loading capacity,we demonstrate such surface-RE-rich nanoparticles have the ability to offer higher colloidal stability and more desirable photodynamic therapy(PDT)efficacy.This work not only advances our understanding of cation exchange reactions in RE-based nanoparticles,but also provides significant value for considerable applications such as sensing,bioimaging,and therapy. | Meifeng Wang Yiru Qin Wei Shao ZhiWang Cai Xiaoyu Zhao Yongjun Hu Tao Zhang Sheng Li Mark T.Swihart Yang Liu Wei Wei | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,2: | 0 |
