Bio-reduction of nitrate from groundwater using a hydrogen-based membrane biofilm reactor显示文摘A hydrogen-based membrane biofilm reactor(MBfR) using H2 as electron donor was investigated to remove nitrate from groundwater. When nitrate was first introduced to the MBfR,denitrification took place on the shell side of the membranes immediately, and the effluent concentration of nitrate continuously decreased with 100% removal rate on day 45 under the influent nitrate concentration of 5 mg NO3--N/L,which described the acclimating and enriching process of autohydrogenotrophic denitrification bacteria.A series of short-term experiments were applied to investigate the effects of hydrogen pressures and nitrate loadings on denitrification. The results showed that nitrate reduction rate improved as H2 pressure increasing, and over 97% of total nitrogen removal rate was achieved when the nitrate loading increased from 0.17 to 0.34 g NO3--N/(m2 ·day) without nitrite accumulation. The maximum denitrification rate was 384 g N/(m3 ·day).Partial sulfate reduction, which occurred in parallel to nitrate reduction, was inhibited by denitrififcation due to the competition for H2 .This research showed that MBfR is effective for removing nitrate from the contaminated groundwater. | Siqing Xia Fohua Zhong Yanhao Zhang Haixiang Li Xin Yang | 2010 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2010,22,2: | 23
Knowledge Model for Electric Power Big Data Based on Ontology and Semantic Web显示文摘It is very important for the development of electric power big data technology to use the electric power knowledge.A new electric power knowledge theory model is proposed here to solve the problem of normalized modeled electric power knowledge for the management and analysis of electric power big data.Current modeling techniques of electric power knowledge are viewed as inadequate because of the complexity and variety of the relationships among electric power system data.Ontology theory and semantic web technologies used in electric power systems and in many other industry domains provide a new kind of knowledge modeling method.Based on this, this paper proposes the structure, elements, basic calculations and multidimensional reasoning method of the new knowledge model.A modeling example of the regulations defined in electric power system operation standard is demonstrated.Different forms of the model and related technologies are also introduced, including electric power system standard modeling,multi-type data management, unstructured data searching, knowledge display and data analysis based on semantic expansion and reduction.Research shows that the new model developed here is powerful and can adapt to various knowledge expression requirements of electric power big data. With the development of electric power big data technology,it is expected that the knowledge model will be improved and will be used in more applications. | Yanhao Huang Xiaoxin Zhou | 2015 | CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2015,1,1: | 17
Interaction between autophagy and the NLRP3 inflammasome显示文摘Autophagy,a metabolic pathway that plays an important role in maintaining the dynamic balance of cells, has two types,i.e.non-selective autophagy and selective autophagy. The role of nonselective autophagy is primarily to allow cells to circulate nutrients in an energy-limited environment, while selective autophagy primarily cleans up the organelles inside the cells to maintain the cell structure. The NLRP3 inflammasome is an innate immune response produced by the organism that can promote the secretion of interleukin-1f3 and interleukin-18 through caspase-1 activation and resist the damage of some pathogens. However, when the NLRP3 inflammasome is overactivated,it can cause various inflammatory diseases, such as inflammatory liver disease and inflammatory bowel disease. Many previous studies have shown that autophagy can inhibit the NLRP3 inflammasome, while in recent years, new studies have found that autophagy can also promote the NLRP3 inflammasome in some cases, and the NLRP3 inflammasome can,in turn, affect autophagy. In this review, the interaction between autophagy and the NLRP3 inflammasome is explored, and then the application of this interaction in disease treatment is discussed. | Zhenrui Cao Yanhao Wang Zhimin Long Guiqiong He | 2019 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2019,51,11: | 14

Biomimetic fabrication and characterization of an artificial rice leaf surface with anisotropic wetting显示文摘In nature, rice leaves exhibit special anisotropic sliding capabilities.Although researchers have succeeded in fabricating artificial rice leaf structures and realizing the wettability function of the leaf surface, these methods used to date are complex and do not allow the fabrication of surfaces with large area.Herein,we adopted a simple technology—two steps soft transfer to fabricate biomimetic rice leaf. The fabricated surface well reproduced the structures of the rice leaf surface and exhibited a static superhydrophobic property similar to that of the real rice leaf surface. In terms of its dynamic wettability,it clearly exhibited an anisotropic sliding property.Systematic measurements showed that the sliding angles parallel and perpendicular with the vein direction were 25° and 40°,respectively.The method was simple and reliable, without the need for expensive instruments and complex technologies, which could be used for the rapid fabrication of large-area artificial rice leaf surfaces. We believe that the artificial rice leaf surface fabricated by this method has great potential applications in biomimetic functional surfaces, microfluidics, and so on. | YAO Jia WANG JianNan YU YanHao YANG Han XU Ying | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,20: | 11
Recent progress in Ti-based nanocomposite anodes for lithium ion batteries显示文摘Studying on the anode materials with high energy densities for next-generation lithium-ion batteries(LIBs) is the key for the wide application for electrochemical energy storage devices.Ti-based compounds as promising anode materials are known for their outstanding high-rate capacity and cycling stability as well as improved safety over graphite. However, Ti-based materials still suffer from the low capacity, thus largely limiting their commercialized application. Here, we present an overview of the recent development of Ti-based anode materials in LIBs, and special emphasis is placed on capacity enhancement by rational design of hybrid nanocomposites with conversion-/alloying-type anodes. This review is expected to provide a guidance for designing novel Ti-based materials for energy storage and conversion. | Shitong WANG Yong YANG Yanhao DONG Zhongtai ZHANG Zilong TANG | 2019 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2019,8,1: | 10
Transcriptome analysis reveals key differentially expressed genes involved in wheat grain development显示文摘Wheat seed development is an important physiological process of seed maturation and directly affects wheat yield and quality. In this study, we performed dynamic transcriptome microarray analysis of an elite Chinese bread wheat cultivar(Jimai 20) during grain development using the Gene Chip Wheat Genome Array. Grain morphology and scanning electron microscope observations showed that the period of 11–15 days post-anthesis(DPA) was a key stage for the synthesis and accumulation of seed starch. Genome-wide transcriptional profiling and significance analysis of microarrays revealed that the period from 11 to 15 DPA was more important than the 15–20 DPA stage for the synthesis and accumulation of nutritive reserves.Series test of cluster analysis of differential genes revealed five statistically significant gene expression profiles. Gene ontology annotation and enrichment analysis gave further information about differentially expressed genes, and Map Man analysis revealed expression changes within functional groups during seed development. Metabolic pathway network analysis showed that major and minor metabolic pathways regulate one another to ensure regular seed development and nutritive reserve accumulation. We performed gene co-expression network analysis to identify genes that play vital roles in seed development and identified several key genes involved in important metabolic pathways. The transcriptional expression of eight key genes involved in starch and protein synthesis and stress defense was further validated by q RT-PCR. Our results provide new insight into the molecular mechanisms of wheat seed development and the determinants of yield and quality. | Yonglong Yu Dong Zhu Chaoying Ma Hui Cao Yaping Wang Yanhao Xu Wenying Zhang Yueming Yan | 2016 | The Crop Journal2016,4,2: | 6
City Networks of Online Commodity Services in China:Empirical Analysis of Tmall Clothing and Electronic Retailers显示文摘City networks have been a critical topic in the fields of urban geography and regional economics. Numerous studies have explored city networks, focusing mainly on infrastructure and industrial networks. Unlike traditional urban network of which the major measuring indexes are population sizes and entity industries, online commodity service networks could reflect well the influencing of emerging economies, especially the Internet economy, on city networks. This study analyzes and reveals structural features of China's city networks through online commodity services, providing the internet economic approach on city networks. Results indicate that the core cities of online commodity service networks are mainly concentrated in eastern coastal areas. In addition, spatial polarization and layer structure of network connections are obvious, descending from the centers in eastern China to peripheral cities in central and western China. Online commodity services of different cities show apparent differences and uncertainties in terms of specialization rates of international connection, which presents a tendency toward diversification. Online commodity service networks are not only associated with goods production, supply, and consumption in physical space but also reflect virtual information, capital, and technology flows, thus providing a new empirical approach for understanding city networks in information and internet economic age. | XI Guangliang ZHEN Feng HE Jinliao GONG Yanhao | 2018 | Chinese Geographical Science2018,28,2: | 6
Suppressing unsteady motion of shock wave by high-frequency plasma synthetic jet显示文摘Three Plasma Synthetic Jet Actuators(PSJA)under the high-frequency actuation are used to control the Shock Wave Boundary Layer Interaction(SWBLI),a high-speed schlieren image processing method based on spatial Fourier transform as well as snapshot proper orthogonal decomposition were used to study the control effect of high-frequency plasma synthetic jet on lowfrequency unsteadiness of SWBLI.The analysis of the base flow shows that the separated shock wave actually has both large-and small-amplitude vibrations at low frequency. And the results revealed that the PSJA with an operating frequency of 2 k Hz has the ability to reduce the energy of low-frequency component of shock wave motion, indicating that the 2 k Hz actuation can effectively suppress low-frequency unsteadiness of the separated wave.Compared with the actuation frequency of 2 k Hz,the energy of low-frequency component of the shock wave is enhanced under the8 k Hz actuation, which aggravates the low-frequency unsteady motion of the shock wave.It is likely that the actuation frequency is too high, thus the intensity of the precursor shock wave induced by PSJA becomes weaker.Additionally,as the 4 k Hz actuation is applied, the pulsation of the separation region was enhanced,it is speculated that the actuation frequency is coupled with the oscillation frequency of the separation region. | Yanhao LUO Jun LI Hua LIANG Shanguang GUO Mengxiao TANG Hongyu WANG | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,9: | 4

Investigation of PM_(2.5) pollution during COVID-19 pandemic in Guangzhou,China显示文摘The COVID-19 pandemic has raised awareness about various environmental issues,includ-ing PM_(2.5) pollution.Here,PM_(2.5) pollution during the COVID-19 lockdown was traced and an-alyzed to clarify the sources and factors influencing PM_(2.5) in Guangzhou, with an emphasis on heavy pollution. The lockdown led to large reductions in industrial and traffic emissions, which significantly reduced PM_(2.5) concentrations in Guangzhou.Interestingly, the trend of PM_(2.5) concentrations was not consistent with traffic and industrial emissions,as minimum concentrations were observed in the fourth period(3/01-3/31,22.45 μg/m^(3))of the lockdown. However, the concentrations of other gaseous pollutants,e.g.,SO_(2),NO_(2) and CO,were corre-lated with industrial and traffic emissions, and the lowest values were noticed in the sec-ond period(1/24-2/0_(3))of the lockdown.Meteorological correlation analysis revealed that the decreased PM_(2.5) concentrations during COVID-19 can be mainly attributed to decreased in-dustrial and traffic emissions rather than meteorological conditions. When meteorological factors were included in the PM_(2.5) composition and backward trajectory analyses,we found that long-distance transportation and secondary pollution offset the reduction of primary emissions in the second and third stages of the pandemic.Notably, industrial PM_(2.5) emis-sions from western, southern and southeastern Guangzhou play an important role in the formation of heavy pollution events. Our results not only verify the importance of control-ling traffic and industrial emissions, but also provide targets for further improvements in PM_(2.5) pollution. | Luyao Wen Chun Yang Xiaoliang Liao Yanhao Zhang Xuyang Chai Wenjun Gao Shulin Guo Yinglei Bi Suk-Ying Tsang Zhi-Feng Chen Zenghua Qi Zongwei Cai | 2022 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,5: | 2

Biomarkers of aging显示文摘Aging biomarkers are a combination of biological parameters to(i)assess age-related changes,(ii)track the physiological aging process, and(iii)predict the transition into a pathological status.Although a broad spectrum of aging biomarkers has been developed, their potential uses and limitations remain poorly characterized. An immediate goal of biomarkers is to help us answer the following three fundamental questions in aging research:How old are we?Why do we get old?And how can we age slower? This review aims to address this need. Here,we summarize our current knowledge of biomarkers developed for cellular, organ, and organismal levels of aging, comprising six pillars:physiological characteristics, medical imaging, histological features, cellular alterations, molecular changes, and secretory factors. To fulfill all these requisites,we propose that aging biomarkers should qualify for being specific, systemic, and clinically relevant. | Aging Biomarker Consortium Hainan Bao Jiani Cao Mengting Chen Min Chen Wei Chen Xiao Chen Yanhao Chen Yu Chen Yutian Chen Zhiyang Chen Jagadish K Chhetri Yingjie Ding Junlin Feng Jun Guo Mengmeng Guo Chuting He Yujuan Jia Haiping Jiang Ying Jing Dingfeng Li Jiaming Li Jingyi Li Qinhao Liang Rui Liang Feng Liu Xiaoqian Liu Zuojun Liu Oscar Junhong Luo Jianwei Lv Jingyi Ma Kehang Mao Jiawei Nie Xinhua Qiao Xinpei Sun Xiaoqiang Tang Jianfang Wang Qiaoran Wang Siyuan Wang Xuan Wang Yaning Wang Yuhan Wang Rimo Wu Kai Xia Fu-Hui Xiao Lingyan Xu Yingying Xu Haoteng Yan Liang Yang Ruici Yang Yuanxin Yang Yilin Ying Le Zhang Weiwei Zhang Wenwan Zhang Xing Zhang Zhuo Zhang Min Zhou Rui Zhou Qingchen Zhu Zhengmao Zhu Feng Cao Zhongwei Cao Piu Chan Chang Chen Guobing Chen Hou-Zao Chen Jun Chen Weimin Ci Bi-Sen Ding Qiurong Ding Feng Gao Jing-Dong JHan Kai Huang Zhenyu Ju Qing-Peng Kong Ji Li Jian Li Xin Li Baohua Liu Feng Liu Lin Liu Qiang Liu Qiang Liu Xingguo Liu Yong Liu Xianghang Luo Shuai Ma Xinran Ma Zhiyong Mao Jing Nie Yaojin Peng Jing Qu Jie Ren Ruibao Ren Moshi Song Zhou Songyang Yi Eve Sun Yu Sun Mei Tian Shusen Wang Si Wang Xia Wang Xiaoning Wang Yan-Jiang Wang Yunfang Wang Catherine CL Wong Andy Peng Xiang Yichuan Xiao Zhengwei Xie Daichao Xu Jing Ye Rui Yue Cuntai Zhang Hongbo Zhang Liang Zhang Weiqi Zhang Yong Zhang Yun-Wu Zhang Zhuohua Zhang Tongbiao Zhao Yuzheng Zhao Dahai Zhu Weiguo Zou Gang Pei Guang-Hui Liu | 2023 | Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,5: | 2

Whole-genome Duplication Reshaped Adaptive Evolution in A Relict Plant Species,Cyclocarya paliurus显示文摘Cyclocarya paliurus is a relict plant species that survived the last glacial period and shows a population expansion recently. Its leaves have been traditionally used to treat obesity and diabetes with the well-known active ingredient cyclocaric acid B.Here,we presented three C.paliurus genomes from two diploids with different flower morphs and one haplotype-resolved tetraploid assembly.Comparative genomic analysis revealed two rounds of recent whole-genome duplication events and identified 691 genes with dosage effects that likely contribute to adaptive evolution through enhanced photosynthesis and increased accumulation of triterpenoids.Resequencing analysis of 45 C.paliurus individuals uncovered two bottlenecks, consistent with the known events of environmental changes, and many selectively swept genes involved in critical biological functions, including plant defense and secondary metabolite biosynthesis. We also proposed the biosynthesis pathway of cyclocaric acid B based on multi-omics data and identified key genes,in particular gibberellinrelated genes, associated with the heterodichogamy in C.paliurus species. Our study sheds light on evolutionary history of C.paliurus and provides genomic resources to study the medicinal herbs. | Yinquan Qu Xulan Shang Ziyan Zeng Yanhao Yu Guoliang Bian Wenling Wang Li Liu Li Tian Shengcheng Zhang Qian Wang Dejin Xie Xuequn Chen Zhenyang Liao Yibin Wang Jian Qin Wanxia Yang Caowen Sun Xiangxiang Fu Xingtan Zhang Shengzuo Fang | 2023 | Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2023,21,3: | 1
Pressureless two-step sintering of ultrafine-grained refractory metals:Tungsten-rhenium and molybdenum显示文摘The challenge of sintering ultrafine-grained refractory metals and alloys to full density is hereby addressed by pressureless two-step sintering in tungsten-rhenium alloy and pure molybdenum. Using properly processed nano powders(~50 nm average particle size), we are able to sinter W-10Re alloy to 98.4% density below 1200 ℃ while maintaining a fine grain size of 260 nm, and sinter molybdenum to 98.3% density below 1120 ℃ while maintaining a fine grain size of 290 nm. Compared to normal sintering,two-step sintering offers record-fine grain sizes and better microstructural uniformity, which translates to better mechanical properties with higher hardness(6.3 GPa for tungsten-rhenium and 4.0 GPa for molybdenum, both being the highest in all pressurelessly sintered samples of the respective material system)and larger Weibull modulus. Together with our previous demonstration in tungsten, we believe that twostep sintering is a general effective method to produce high-quality fine-grained refractory metals and alloys, and the lessons learned here are transferable to other materials for powder metallurgy. | Zhongyou Que Zichen Wei Xingyu Li Lin Zhang Yanhao Dong Mingli Qin Junjun Yang Xuanhui Qu Ju Li | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,31: | 1
