| 1 | Magnetization of microorganism cells by sol-gel method显示文摘Microorganism cells could be used as templates during fabrication of magnetic or conductive microstructures in different standard shapes. In this paper, feasibility of magnetizing microorganism cells by sol-gel method, which is to coat cells of Spirulina (a type of natural micro-helical microorganism) with the ferrite (a kind of magnetic material), was discussed and investigated. Then the cell form, components and the phase structure were observed and analyzed using various tools including optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray detector (EDX), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD). Results showed that spirulina cells could be coated with ferrite after the sol-gel process, with the shape of natural helixes well kept, that the components of different sampling points on the surface layer were consistent and the thickness of layer was uniform, and that the type of the surface ferrite layer formed was cubic Fe3O4. It was also observed that there were nano-particles yielded in the cells and certain deposit on the walls between cells. | 2 | High-cycle fatigue behavior of Co-based superalloy 9CrCo at elevated temperatures显示文摘A modified model is developed to characterize and evaluate high-cycle fatigue behavior of Co-based superalloy 9CrCo at elevated temperatures by considering the stress ratio effect. The model is informed by the relationship surface between maximum nominal stress, stress ratio and fatigue life. New formulae are derived to deal with the test data for estimating the parameters of the proposed model. Fatigue tests are performed on Co-based superalloy 9Cr Co subjected to constant amplitude loading at four stress ratios of 1, 0.3, 0.5 and 0.9 in three environments of room temperature(i.e., about 25 °C) and elevated temperatures of 530 °C and 620 °C, and the interaction mechanisms between the elevated temperature and stress ratio are deduced and compared with each other from fractographic studies. Finally, the model is applied to experimental data, demonstrating the practical and effective use of the proposed model. | 3 | Reduced graphene oxide@carbon sphere based metacomposites for temperature-insensitive and efficient microwave absorption显示文摘With the increasing advance of fifth generation(5G)network and the gradual expansion of digital devices,harsh working environment for electronic devices has spawned higher requirements for microwave absorbing materials(MAMs).Since both the electromagnetic response and energy conversion character vary with temperature,to achieve temperature insensitive microwave absorption behaviour in wide temperature range has become extremely challenging.In this work,structured metacomposites containing sub-wavelength reduced graphene oxide(RGO)@carbon spheres were fabricated,and the microwave absorption was further improved through structural and composition design of the RGO@carbon units.Due to the unique anti-reflection effect on microwave of the metacomposites,the temperature-insensitive electromagnetic performance at elevated temperature could be exhibited.Moreover,both the dielectric relaxation behaviour and microwave absorption proformance of the system could be further increased.As a result,the effective absorption bandwidth(reflection loss(RL)<−10 dB)of the metacomposites with only 3.0 wt.%filler content could cover the entire X-band(8.2–12.4 GHz)frequency ranging from 298 to 473K.The metacomposite proposed in this work provides a“de-correlating”strategy to break the linkage between microwave absorption behaviour and temperature,which offers an interesting plateau for fabricating efficient high-temperature microwave absorption structures with tunable and designable advantages. | Zhiyang Jiang Haoxu Si Yi Li Dan Li Huihui Chen Chunhong Gong Jingwei Zhang | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,9: | 4 |

| 8 | Versatile subtypes of pericytes and their roles in spinal cord injury repair,bone development and repair显示文摘Vascular regeneration is a challenging topic in tissue repair. As one of the important components of the neurovascular unit(NVU),pericytes play an essential role in the maintenance of the vascular network of the spinal cord. To date, subtypes of pericytes have been identified by various markers, namely the PDGFR-β, Desmin, CD146, and NG2, each of which is involved with spinal cord injury(SCI) repair. In addition, pericytes may act as a stem cell source that is important for bone development and regeneration, whilst specific subtypes of pericyte could facilitate bone fracture and defect repair. One of the major challenges of pericyte biology is to determine the specific markers that would clearly distinguish the different subtypes of pericytes, and to develop efficient approaches to isolate and propagate pericytes. | 9 | Catalytic activity of Cu/ZnO catalysts mediated by MgO promoter in hydrogenation of methyl acetate to ethanol显示文摘Hydrogenation of methyl acetate is a key step in ethanol synthesis from dimethyl ether carbonylation and Cu-based catalysts are widely studied.We report here that the hydrogenation activity of Cu/ZnO catalysts can be enhanced by the addition of MgO promoter.The evolution of crystal phases during coprecipitation and the physicochemical properties of calcined and reduced catalysts by X-ray diffraction(XRD),thermogravimetric(TG)-mass spectrometry(MS),Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),N_(2)O titration,in situ CO-Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and H_(2)-temperature programmed reduction(H_(2)-TPR)reveal that the promoter effect likely lies in the presence of Mg^(2+).A proper amount of Mg^(2+)mediates the precipitation process of Cu and Zn,leading to preferable formation of aurichalcite(Cu_(x)Zn_(1-x))5(CO_(3))_(2)(OH)_(6) crystal phase and a small amount of basic carbonates such as hydrozincite Zn_(5)(CO_(3))_(2)(OH)_(6) and malachite Cu_(2) CO_(3)(OH)_(2).The presence of aurichalcite strengthens the interaction between Cu and Zn species,and thus enhances the dispersity of CuO species and helps generation of Cu^(+)species on reduced catalysts.Furthermore,the performance of Cu/ZnO catalysts exhibits an optimal dependence on the Mg loading,i.e.,17.5%.However,too much Mg^(2+)in the precipitation liquid prohibits formation of aurichalcite but enhances formation of basic nitrates,leading to a dramatically reduced hydrogenation activity.These findings may find applications for optimization of other Cu-based catalysts in a wider range of hydrogenation reactions. | Fang Zhang Zhiyang Chen Xudong Fang Hongchao Liu Yong Liu Wenliang Zhu | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,10: | 2 |

| 14 | Efficient drug delivery and anticancer effect of micelles based on vitamin E succinate and chitosan derivatives显示文摘Nanocarriers have emerged as a promising cancer drug delivery strategy.Multi-drug resistance caused by overexpression of multiple-drug excretion transporters in tumor cells is the major obstacle to successful chemotherapy.Vitamin E derivatives have many essential functions for drug delivery applications,such as biological components that are hydrophobic,stable,water-soluble enhancing compounds,and anticancer activity.In addition,vitamin E derivatives are also effective mitocan which can overcome multi-drug resistance by binding to P glycoproteins.Here,we developed a carboxymethyl chitosan/vitamin E succinate nano-micellar system(O-CMCTS-VES).The synthesized polymers were characterized by Fourier Transform IR,and 1H NMR spectra.The mean sizes of O-CMCTS-VES and DOX-loaded nanoparticles were around 177 nm and 208 nm.The drug loading contents were 6.1%,13.0%and 10.6%with the weight ratio of DOX to O-CMCTS-VES corresponding 1:10,2:10 and 3:10,and the corresponding EEs were 64.3%,74.5%and 39.7%.Cytotoxicity test,hemolysis test and histocompatibility test showed that it had good biocompatibility in vitro and in vivo.Drug release experiments implied good pH sensitivity and sustained-release effect.The DOX/O-CMCTS-VES nanoparticles can be efficiently taken up by HepG2 cancer cells and the tumor inhibition rate is up to 62.57%.In the in vivo study by using H22 cells implanted Balb/C mice,DOX/O-CMCTS-VES reduced the tumor volume and weight efficiently with a TIR of 35.58%.The newly developed polymeric micelles could successfully be utilized as a nanocarrier system for hydrophobic chemotherapeutic agents for the treatment of solid tumors. | Xiaotong Chen Junxiang Gu Le Sun Wenya Li Lili Guo Zhiyang Gu Litong Wang Yan Zhang Wangwang Zhang Baoqin Han Jing Chang | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,10: | 1 |

| 17 | Energetic electron detection packages on board Chinese navigation satellites in MEO显示文摘Energetic electron measurements and spacecraft charging are of great significance for theoretical research in space physics and space weather applications.In this paper,the energetic electron detection package(EEDP)deployed on three Chinese navigation satellites in medium Earth orbit(MEO)is reviewed.The instrument was developed by the space science payload team led by Peking University.The EEDP includes a pinhole medium-energy electron spectrometer(MES),a high-energy electron detector(HED)based onΔE-E telescope technology,and a deep dielectric charging monitor(DDCM).The MES measures the energy spectra of 50−600 keV electrons from nine directions with a 180°×30°field of view(FOV).The HED measures the energy spectrum of 0.5−3.0 MeV electrons from one direction with a 30°cone-angle FOV.The ground test and calibration results indicate that these three sensors exhibit excellent performance.Preliminary observations show that the electron spectra measured by the MES and HED are in good agreement with the results from the magnetic electron-ion spectrometer(MagEIS)of the Van Allen Probes spacecraft,with an average relative deviation of 27.3%for the energy spectra.The charging currents and voltages measured by the DDCM during storms are consistent with the highenergy electron observations of the HED,demonstrating the effectiveness of the DDCM.The observations of the EEDP on board the three MEO satellites can provide important support for theoretical research on the radiation belts and the applications related to space weather. | YuGuang Ye Hong Zou Qiu-Gang Zong HongFei Chen JiQing Zou WeiHong Shi XiangQian Yu WeiYing Zhong YongFu Wang YiXin Hao ZhiYang Liu XiangHong Jia Bo Wang XiaoPing Yang XiaoYun Hao | 2021 | Earth and Planetary Physics2021,5,2: | 1 |
