| Ruili Yang Yi Liu Peyman Kelk Cunye Qu Kentaro Akiyama Chider Chen Ikiru Atsuta WanJun Chen Yanheng Zhou Songtao Shi | 2013 | Cell Research2013,23,1: | 8
Adaptive Application Offloading Decision and Transmission Scheduling for Mobile Cloud Computing显示文摘Offloading application to cloud can augment mobile devices' computation capabilities for the emerging resource-hungry mobile application, however it can also consume both much time and energy for mobile device offloading application remotely to cloud. In this paper, we develop a newly adaptive application offloading decision-transmission scheduling scheme which can solve above problem efficiently. Specifically, we first propose an adaptive application offloading model which allows multiple target clouds coexisting. Second, based on Lyapunov optimization theory, a low complexity adaptive offloading decision-transmission scheduling scheme has been proposed. And the performance analysis is also given. Finally, simulation results show that, compared with that all applications are executed locally, mobile device can save 68.557% average execution time and 67.095% average energy consumption under situations. | Junyi Wang Jie Peng Yanheng Wei Didi Liu Jielin Fu | 2017 | China Communications2017,14,3: | 6

Model for human dynamics based on habit显示文摘The quantitative understanding of human behavior is a central question of modern science. Because of the complexity of human behavior, it is almost impossible to seek regularities in human dynamics. It is assumed that human actions are randomly distributed in time in current models for human dynamics. While the characteristics of human behavior combined with the queue model are considered as model for human dynamics based on habit to explain bursts and heavy tails in human dynamics more exactly. Normal distribution is used to simulate intervals of succession of events, and random parameters are set as unexpected events disturbing habit behaviors. Moreover, duration of events are proposed to imitate continual attention to some events in human behaviors. | JIAO Yu LIU YanHeng WANG Jian WANG Jing | 2010 | Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,24: | 2
Chronic inflammation deteriorates structure and function of collagen fibril in rat temporomandibular joint disc显示文摘Collagen is the building component of temporomandibular joint(TMJ) discs and is often affected by inflammation in temporomandibular disorders. The macromechanical properties of collagen are deteriorated by chronic inflammation. However, the mechanism by which inflammation influences disc function remains unknown. The relationship between the ultrastructure and nanomechanical properties of collagen in inflamed discs should be clarified. Seven-week-old female Sprague–Dawley rats were randomly divided into two groups. Chronic TMJ inflammation was induced by intra-articular injection of complete Freund's adjuvant, and samples were harvested after 5 weeks. Picrosirius staining revealed multiple colours under polarized light, which represented alternative collagen bundles in inflamed discs. Using atomic force microscopy scanning, the magnitude of Young's modulus was reduced significantly accompanied with disordered collagen fibril arrangement with porous architecture of inflamed discs. Transmission electron microscopy scanning revealed a non-uniform distribution of collagen fibres, and oversized collagen fibrils were observed in inflamed discs. Fourier transform infrared microspectroscopy revealed a decrease in 1 338 cm^(-1)/amide II area ratio of collagen in different regions. The peak positions of amide I and amide II bands were altered in inflamed discs, indicating collagen unfolding. Our results suggest that sustained inflammation deteriorates collagen structures, resulting in the deterioration of the ultrastructure and nanomechanical properties of rat TMJ discs. | Shengjie Cui Yu Fu Yan Liu Xiaoxing Kou Jieni Zhang Yehua Gan Yanheng Zhou Xuedong Wang | 2019 | International Journal of Oral Science2019,11,1: | 2

A software cascading faults model显示文摘Functions and call relations are extracted into nodes and edges, respectively,by which a novel topological model is proposed. The directional edges and the corresponding weight values express the call relations and tightness degree.By introducing two concepts of function fault-tolerant capability and software fault intensity and by designing a allocation rule on fault-tolerant capability,a cascading fault model is built to explore fault propagation behaviors.Simulations on practical software networks show that a weak fault intensity,a small number of initial faults, and a strong fault-tolerant capability can slow down the spreading speed. The functions with more call relations and more closer tightness contribute more to the stability of the whole system. | LIU YanHeng LIU XueLian WANG Jian | 2011 | Science China(Information Sciences)2011,54,11: | 1

Transcriptional activation of glucose transporter 1 in orthodontic tooth movement-associated mechanical response显示文摘The interplay between mechanoresponses and a broad range of fundamental biological processes, such as cell cycle progression, growth and differentiation, has been extensively investigated. However, metabolic regulation in mechanobiology remains largely unexplored. Here, we identified glucose transporter 1(GLUT1)—the primary glucose transporter in various cells—as a novel mechanosensitive gene in orthodontic tooth movement(OTM). Using an in vivo rat OTM model, we demonstrated the specific induction of Glut1 proteins on the compressive side of a physically strained periodontal ligament. This transcriptional activation could be recapitulated in in vitro cultured human periodontal ligament cells(PDLCs), showing a time-and dose-dependent mechanoresponse. Importantly, application of GLUT1 specific inhibitor WZB117 greatly suppressed the efficiency of orthodontic tooth movement in a mouse OTM model, and this reduction was associated with a decline in osteoclastic activities. A mechanistic study suggested that GLUT1 inhibition affected the receptor activator for nuclear factor-κ B Ligand(RANKL)/osteoprotegerin(OPG)system by impairing compressive force-mediated RANKL upregulation. Consistently, pretreatment of PDLCs with WZB117 severely impeded the osteoclastic differentiation of co-cultured RAW264.7 cells. Further biochemical analysis indicated mutual regulation between GLUT1 and the MEK/ERK cascade to relay potential communication between glucose uptake and mechanical stress response. Together, these cross-species experiments revealed the transcriptional activation of GLUT1 as a novel and conserved linkage between metabolism and bone remodelling. | Yu Wang Qian Li Fuliang Liu Shanshan Jin Yimei Zhang Ting Zhang Yunyan Zhu Yanheng Zhou | 2018 | International Journal of Oral Science2018,10,4: | 1

A NEW CASCADING FAILURE MODEL WITH DELAY TIME IN CONGESTED COMPLEX NETWORKS显示文摘Cascading failures often occur in congested complex networks. Cascading failures can be expressed as a three-phase process: generation, diffusion, and dissipation of congestion. Different from the betweenness centrality, a congestion function is proposed to represent the extent of congestion on a given node. Inspired by the restart process of a node, we introduce the concept of 'delay time,' during which the overloaded node cannot receive or forward any traffic, so an intergradation between permanent removal and nonremoval is built and the flexibility of the presented model is demonstrated. Considering the connectivity of a network before and after cascading failures is not cracked because the overloaded node are not removed from network permanently in our model, a new evaluation function of network efficiency is also proposed to measure the damage caused by cascading failures. Finally, we investigate the effects of network structure and size, delay time, processing ability, and traffic generation speed on congestion propagation. Cascading processes composed of three phases and some factors affecting cascade propagation are uncovered as well. | Jian WANG Yanheng LIU Yu JIAO | 2009 | Journal of Systems Science and Systems Engineering2009,18,3: | 1
