| 1 | Discrimination of abiogenic and biogenic alkane gases显示文摘We have combined the analytical data of the carbon isotope distribution pattern, R/Ra and CH4/3He values of abiogenic and biogenic (referring to the thermogenic and bacterial or microbial) alkane gases in China with those of alkane gases from USA, Russia, Germany, Australia and other countries. | 3 | Production of Two Elite Glutinous Rice Varieties by Editing Wx Gene显示文摘The waxy gene(Wx) in rice, which encodes the granule bound starch synthase enzyme, is responsible for amylose synthesis. Glutinous(sticky) rice has little or no amylose that can be used in various applications, such as brewing. In this study, knockout of the Wx gene with CRISPR/Cas9 technology was conducted in two elite japonica rice lines, Huaidao 5(HD5) and Suken 118(SK118), aiming to develop elite sticky rice varieties. We achieved six homozygous T_0 plants with more than 200 bp deletion in the Wx gene, as well as 36 wx-HD5 and 18 wx-SK118 homozygous transgene-free plants in the T_1 generation. The seeds of all the mutants were white and opaque, similar to those of sticky rice, and contained only 2.6%–3.2% amylose. Results of scanning electron microscopy showed that the quality of rice did not change. | 5 | Preparation of HMX/TATB spherical composite explosive by droplet microfluidic technology显示文摘Polymer bonded explosives(PBXs)have high energy density,excellent mechanical properties and better thermal stability.In this study,droplet microfluidic technology was used to successfully prepare HMX/TATB microspheres.The effects of different binder types and binder concentrations on the morphology of the microspheres were studied,and results proved that NC/GAP(1:4)provides particles a regular spherical morphology and good dispersion.Subsequently,the influence of the concentration of the dispersed phase and the flow rate of the continuous phase on the particle size distribution of the microspheres was fully studied.The microspheres had narrow particle size distribution and high spherical shape.Under optimized process conditions,HMX/TATB microspheres were prepared and compared with the physical mixtures.The X-ray diffraction,differential scanning calorimetry,flow properties,bulk density,and mechanical sensitivity of the samples were also studied.Results showed that the crystal form of the microspheres remains unchanged,and the binder maintains good compatibility with explosives.In addition,the fluidity,bulk density,real density and safety performance of the microspheres are remarkably better than the physical mixture.This study provides a new method for preparing PBX with narrow particle size distribution,high spherical shape,excellent dispersion and high bulk density. | Bidong Wu Jinqiang Zhou Yunyan Guo Rui Zhu Dong Wang Chongwei An Jingyu Wang | 2023 | Defence Technology(防务技术)2023,21,3: | 3 |

| 7 | Transcriptional activation of glucose transporter 1 in orthodontic tooth movement-associated mechanical response显示文摘The interplay between mechanoresponses and a broad range of fundamental biological processes, such as cell cycle progression,growth and differentiation, has been extensively investigated. However, metabolic regulation in mechanobiology remains largely unexplored. Here, we identified glucose transporter 1(GLUT1)—the primary glucose transporter in various cells—as a novel mechanosensitive gene in orthodontic tooth movement(OTM). Using an in vivo rat OTM model, we demonstrated the specific induction of Glut1 proteins on the compressive side of a physically strained periodontal ligament. This transcriptional activation could be recapitulated in in vitro cultured human periodontal ligament cells(PDLCs), showing a time-and dose-dependent mechanoresponse. Importantly, application of GLUT1 specific inhibitor WZB117 greatly suppressed the efficiency of orthodontic tooth movement in a mouse OTM model, and this reduction was associated with a decline in osteoclastic activities. A mechanistic study suggested that GLUT1 inhibition affected the receptor activator for nuclear factor-κ B Ligand(RANKL)/osteoprotegerin(OPG)system by impairing compressive force-mediated RANKL upregulation. Consistently, pretreatment of PDLCs with WZB117 severely impeded the osteoclastic differentiation of co-cultured RAW264.7 cells. Further biochemical analysis indicated mutual regulation between GLUT1 and the MEK/ERK cascade to relay potential communication between glucose uptake and mechanical stress response. The new system, as a middleware between a user and a Web search engine, is set up on the client machine. It can learn a user's preference implicitly and then generate the user profile automati- cally. When the user inputs query keywords, the system can auto- matically generate a few personalized expansion words by com- puting the term-term associations according to the current user profile, and then these words together with the query keywords are submitted to a popular search engine such as Yahoo or Google. These expansion words help to express accurately the user's search intention. The new Web search model can make a common search engine personalized, that is, the search engine can return different search results to different users who input the same key- words. | 13 | Genome-Wide Identification and Expression Analysis of the Phytocyanin Gene Family in Nicotiana tabacum显示文摘Phytocyanin(PC)is a class of plant-specific blue copper proteins involved in electron transport,plant growth,development,and stress resistance.However,PC proteins have not been systematically evaluated in tobacco plants.We determined the whole-genome sequences of the PC family in the tobacco cultivar‘K326.’The transcriptome data were used to analyze the expression of the NtPC family at different development stages and tissue-specific genes.Real-time fluorescence quantitative analysis was used to analyze the expression of the NtPC gene family under low temperature and methyl jasmonate stress.The tobacco NtPC family contained 110 members and was divided into four subfamilies:early nodulin-like protein(NtENODL),uclacyanin-like protein,stellacyanin1-like protein,and plantacyanin-like protein.According to phylogenetic and structural analyses,the NtPC family could be divided into eight structural types.Fifty-three NtPCs were randomly distributed on 22 of 24 tobacco chromosomes.Collinearity analysis revealed 33 pairs of genes belonging to the NtPC family.Gene ontology analysis showed that the PC genes are components of the plasma membrane and may participate in plasma membrane-related functions.The NtPC family contained numerous elements related to hormonal and abiotic stress responses and was specifically expressed in the tobacco prosperous,maturation,and budding periods.Tissue-specific expression analysis showed that some genes were tissue specific.The expression of NtENODL58 and other genes was significantly induced by low-temperature and methyl jasmonate stress.Thus,the NtPC gene family plays an important role in plant stress response. | Peiling Wang Xiaohong Xu Yong Li Hecui Zhang Xuejie Zhang Siru Zhou Yimei Liu Yunyan Feng Tonghong Zuo Liquan Zhu | 2023 | Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2023,92,5: | 0 |
