| 1 | Clinical applications of MARSALA for preimplantation genetic diagnosis of spinal muscular atrophy显示文摘Conventional PCR methods combined with linkage analysis based on short tandem repeats(STRs) or Karyomapping with single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP) arrays, have been applied to preimplantation genetic diagnosis(PGD) for spinal muscular atrophy(SMA), an autosome recessive disorder. However, it has limitations in SMA diagnosis by Karyomapping, and these methods are unable to distinguish wildtype embryos with carriers effectively. Mutated allele revealed by sequencing with aneuploidy and linkage analyses(MARSALA) is a new method allowing embryo selection by a one-step next-generation sequencing(NGS) procedure, which has been applied in PGD for both autosome dominant and X-linked diseases in our group previously. In this study, we carried out PGD based on MARSALA for two carrier families with SMA affected children. As a result, one of the couples has given birth to a healthy baby free of mutations in SMA-causing gene. It is the first time that MARSALA was applied to PGD for SMA, and we can distinguish the embryos with heterozygous deletion(carriers) from the wild-type(normal) ones accurately through this NGS-based method. In addition, direct mutation detection allows us to identify the affected embryos(homozygous deletion), which can be regarded as probands for linkage analysis, in case that the affected family member is absent. | 3 | Effect of Preparation Process on Compressive Strength and Hydrogenation Performance of Raney-Ni/Al2O3 Catalyst显示文摘In this study, Raney-Ni/Al_2O_3 catalysts were prepared from precursors which were calcined in different atmosphere(argon and air) and leached for different time. XRD, SEM, H_2-TPR and BET techniques were introduced to characterize the catalysts, and hydrogenation of unsaturated hydrocarbons, including vinyltoluene, dicyclopentadiene and indene, was used as probe reaction to evaluate the catalytic hydrogenation performance of the catalysts. The results demonstrated that the calcination atmosphere had noticeable effects on the compressive strength and hydrogenation performance of Raney-Ni/Al_2O_3. The catalyst calcined in argon exhibited better compressive strength and catalytic performance than the one calcined in air. The compressive strength and activity stability of catalyst were also determined by the leaching time. A too longer leaching time was not conducive to improving the compressive strength and catalytic performance of catalysts. When the precursor calcined in argon was treated in a 15%(by wt.) sodium hydroxide solution at 343 K for 5 h, a catalyst with higher compressive strength(at 26.10 N/mm) was obtained and the conversion of vinyltoluene, dicyclopentadiene(DCPD), and indene could amount to more than 87.5%, 99% and even 100%, respectively, under the reaction conditions covering a temperature of 493 K, a hydrogen pressure of 2.0 MPa, a LSHV of 3.0 h^(-1), and a hydrogen/oil ratio of 200:1. | Luo Guohua Wang Yanli Sun Daming Xu Xin Jin Haibo | 2017 | China Petroleum Processing & Petrochemical Technology2017,19,2: | 5 |
| 4 | Evaluating Suitability of Multiple Precipitation Products for the Lancang River Basin显示文摘Global reanalysis precipitation products could provide valuable meteorological information for flow forecasting in poorly gauged areas, helping to overcome a long-standing challenge in the field. But not all data sources are suitable for all regions or perform the same way in hydrological modeling, so it is essential to test the suitability of precipitation products before applying them. In this study, five widely used global high-resolution precipitation products—Asian Precipitation Highly Resolved Observational Data Integration Towards Evaluation of Water Resources(APHRODITE), National Centers for Environmental Prediction Climate Forecast System Reanalysis(NCEP-CFSR), Climate Hazards Group InfraRed Precipitation with Station Data(CHIRPS), China Gauge-based Daily Precipitation Analysis developed by China Meteorological Administration(CMA) and Agricultural Model Intercomparison and Improvement Project based on the NASA Modern-Era Retrospective Analysis for Research and Applications(AgMERRA)—were evaluated using statistical methods and a hydrological approach for their suitability for the Lancang River Basin. The results indicated that APHRODITE, CMA, AgMERRA and CHIRPS were more accurate precipitation indicators than NCEP-CFSR in terms of the multiyear average and seasonal spatial distribution pattern, all of the CHIRPS, Ag MERRA and APHRODITE perform better than CMA and NCEP-CFSR at the small, medium and high precipitation intensities ranges in subbasin11 and sunbabsin46. All five products performed better in subbasin46(a low-altitude region) than in subbasin11(a high-altitude region) on the daily and monthly scales. In addition to NCEP-CFSR, the other four products all presented encouraging potential for streamflow simulation at daily(Yunjinghong) and monthly(Yunjinghong, Jiuzhou and Gajiu) scale. Hydrological simulations forced with APHRODITE were the best of the five for the Yunjinghong station in capturing daily and monthly measured streamflow. | 5 | A polyimide cathode with superior stability and rate capability for lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Organic-based electrode materials for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) are promising due to their high theoretical capacity,structure versatility and environmental benignity.However,the poor intrinsic electric conductivity of most polymers results in slow reaction kinetics and hinders their application as electrode materials for LIBs.A binder-free self-supporting organic electrode with excellent redox kinetics is herein demonstrated via in situ polymerization of a uniform thin polyimide (PI) layer on a porous and highly conductive carbonized nanofiber (CNF) framework.The PI active material in the porous PI@CNF film has large physical contact area with both the CNF and the electrolyte thus obtains superior electronic and ionic conduction.As a result,the PI@CNF cathode exhibits a discharge capacity of 170 mAh·g^-1 at 1 C (175 mA·g^-1),remarkable rate-performance (70.5% of 0.5 C capacity can be obtained at a 100 C discharge rate),and superior cycling stability with 81.3% capacity retention after 1,000 cycles at 1 C.Last but not least,a four-electron transfer redox process of the PI polymer was realized for the first time thanks to the excellent redox kinetics of the PI@CNF electrode,showing a discharge capacity exceeding 300 mAh·g^-1 at a current of 175 mA·g^-1. | Jianghui Zhao Tuo Kang Yanli Chu Peng Chen Feng Jin Yanbin Shen Liwei Chen | 2019 | Nano Research2019,12,6: | 3 |

| 12 | Critical involvement of lysyl oxidase in seizure-induced neuronal damage through ERK-Alox5-dependent ferroptosis and its therapeutic implications显示文摘Recent insights collectively suggest the important roles of lysyl oxidase(LysOX)in the pathological processes of several acute and chronic neurological diseases,but the molecular regulatory mechanisms remain elusive.Herein,we explore the regulatory role of LysOX in the seizure-induced ferroptotic cell death of neurons.Mechanistically,LysOX promotes ferroptosis-associated lipid peroxidation in neurons via activating extracellular regulated protein kinase(ERK)-dependent 5-lipoxygenase(Alox5)signaling.In addition,overexpression of LysOX via adeno-associated viral vector(AAV)-based gene transfer enhances ferroptosis sensitivity and aggravates seizure-induced hippocampal damage.Our studies show that pharmacological inhibition of LysOX withβ-aminopropionitrile(BAPN)significantly blocks seizure-induced ferroptosis and thereby alleviates neuronal damage,while the BAPN-associated cardiotoxicity and neurotoxicity could further be reduced through encapsulation with bioresponsive amorphous calcium carbonate-based nanocarriers.These findings unveil a previously unrecognized LysOX-ERK-Alox5 pathway for ferroptosis regulation during seizure-induced neuronal damage.Suppressing this pathway may yield therapeutic implications for restoring seizure-induced neuronal injury. | Xiaoyuan Mao Xuan Wang Mingzhu Jin Qin Li Jining Jia Menghuan Li Honghao Zhou Zhaoqian Liu Weilin Jin Yanli Zhao Zhong Luo | 2022 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,9: | 1 |

| 14 | Anomalous in-plane magnetoresistance of electron-doped cuprate La_(2.x)Ce_xCuO_(4±δ)显示文摘We report systematic in-plane magnetoresistance measurements on the electron-doped cuprate La_(2.x)Ce_xCuO_(4±δ) thin films as a function of Ce doping and oxygen content in the magnetic field up to 14 T. A crossover from negative to positive magnetoresistance occurs between the doping level x = 0.07 and 0.08. Above x = 0.08, the positive magnetoresistance effect appears, and is almost indiscernible at x = 0.15. By tuning the oxygen content, the as-grown samples show negative magnetoresistance effect, whereas the optimally annealed ones display positive magnetoresistance effect at the doping level x = 0.15. Intriguingly, a linear-field dependence of in-plane magnetoresistance is observed at the underdoping level x = 0.06, the optimal doping level x = 0.1 and slightly overdoping level x = 0.11.
