Simulation and projection of climate change using CMIP6 Muti-models in the Belt and Road Region显示文摘Climate condition over a region is mostly determined by the changes in precipitation, temperature and evaporation as the key climate variables. The countries belong to the Belt and Road region are subjected to face strong changes in future climate. In this paper,we used five global climate models from the latest Sixth Phase of Coupled Model Intercomparison Project(CMIP6)to evaluate future climate changes under seven combined scenarios of the Shared Socioeconomic Pathways and the Representative Concentration Pathways(SSP1-1.9,SSP1-2.6,SSP2-4.5,SSP3-7.0,SSP4-3.4,SSP4-6.0 and SSP5-8.5)across the Belt and Road region. This study focuses on undertaking a climate change assessment in terms of future changes in precipitation, air temperature and actual evaporation for the three distinct periods as near-term period(2021−2040),mid-term period(2041−2060)and long-term period(2081−2100).To discern spatial structure,Köppen−Geiger Climate Classification method has been used in this study. In relative terms, the results indicate an evidence of increasing tendency in all the studied variables, where significant changes are anticipated mostly in the long-term period. In addition to,though it is projected to increase under all the SSP-RCP scenarios, greater increases will be happened under higher emission scenarios(SSP5-8.5 and SSP3-7.0).For temperature, robust increases in annual mean temperature is found to be 5.2°C under SSP3-7.0,and highest 7.0°C under SSP5-8.5 scenario relative to present day.The northern part especially Cold and Polar region will be even more warmer(+6.1°C)in the long-term(2081−2100)period under SSP5-8.5.Similarly,at the end of the twenty-first century, annual mean precipitation is inclined to increase largely with a rate of 2.1%and 2.8%per decade under SSP3-7.0 and SSP5-8.5 respectively.Spatial distribution demonstrates that the largest precipitation increases are to be pronounced in the Polar and Arid regions.Precipitation is projected to increase with response to increasing warming most of the regions. Finally, the actual evaporation is projected to increase significantly with rate of 20.3%under SSP3-7.0 and greatest 27.0%for SSP5-8.5 by the end of the century. It is important to note that the changes in evaporation respond to global mean temperature rise consistently in terms of similar spatial pattern for all the scenarios where stronger increase found in the Cold and Polar regions. The increase in precipitation is overruled by enhanced evaporation over the region. However, this study reveals that the CMIP6 models can simulate temperature better than precipitation over the Belt and Road region.Findings of this study could be the reliable basis for initiating policies against further climate induced impacts in the regional scale. | YanRan Lü Tong Jiang YanJun Wang BuDa Su JinLong Huang Hui Tao | 2020 | Research in Cold and Arid Regions2020,12,6: | 4
Effect of size and crystalline phase of TiO2 nanotubes on cell behaviors: A high throughput study using gradient TiO2 nanotubes显示文摘The research of TiO2 nanotubes(TNTs)in the field of biomedicine has been increasingly active. However, given the diversity of the nanoscale dimension and controversial reports, our understanding of the structure-property relationships of TNTs is not yet complete. In this paper, gradient TNTs with a wide diameter range of 20-350 nm were achieved by bipolar electrochemistry and utilized for a thorough high-throughput study of the effect of nanotube dimension and crystalline phase on protein adsorption and cell behaviors. Results indicated that protein adsorption escalated with nanotube dimension whereas cell proliferation and differentiation are preferred on small diameter(<70 nm)nanotubes.Large diameter anatase nanotubes had higher adsorption of serum proteins than as-prepared ones. But only as-prepared small diameter nanotubes presented slightly higher cell proliferation than corresponding annealed nanotubes whereas there was no discernible difference between as-prepared and annealed nanotubes on cell differentiation for the entire gradient. Those findings replenish previous research about how cell responses to TNTs with a wide diameter range and provide scientific guidance for the optimal design of biomedical materials. | Yanran Li Si Wang Yuanjun Dong Ping Mu Yun Yang Xiangyang Liu Changjian Lin Qiaoling Huang | 2020 | Bioactive Materials2020,5,4: | 3
Characteristics of Shale Reservoir and Sweet Spot Identification of the Lower Cambrian Niutitang Formation in Northwestern Hunan Province, China显示文摘The accumulation and productivity of shale gas are mainly controlled by the characteristics of shale reservoirs;study of these characteristics forms the basis for the shale gas exploitation of the Lower Cambrian Niutitang Formation(Fm),Southern China. In this study, core observation and lithology study were conducted along with X-ray diffraction(XRD)and electronic scanning microscopy(SEM)examinations and liquid nitrogen(N2)adsorption/desorption and CH4 isothermal adsorption experiments for several exploration wells in northwestern Hunan Province,China. The results show that one or two intervals with high-quality source rocks(TOC>2 wt%)were deposited in the deep-shelf facies. The source rocks, which were mainly composed of carbonaceous shales and siliceous shales, had high quartz contents(>40 wt%)and low clay mineral(<30 wt%,mainly illites)and carbonate mineral(<20 wt%)contents. The SEM observations and liquid nitrogen(N2)adsorption/desorption experiments showed that the shale is tight, and nanoscale pores and microscale fractures are well developed.BJH volume(VBJH)of shale ranged from 2.144×10^-3 to 20.07×10^-3 cm^3/g,with an average of 11.752×10^-3 cm3/g.Pores mainly consisted of opened and interconnected mesopores(2–50 nm in diameter)or macropores(>50 nm in diameter). The shale reservoir has strong adsorption capacity for CH4.The Langmuir volume(VL)varied from 1.63 to 7.39 cm^3/g,with an average of 3.95 cm^3/g.The characteristics of shale reservoir are controlled by several factors:(1)A deep muddy continental shelf is the most favorable environment for the development of shale reservoirs, which is controlled by the development of basic materials.(2)The storage capacity of the shale reservoir is positively related to the TOC contents and plastic minerals and negatively related to cement minerals.(3)High maturity or overmaturity leads to the growth of organic pores and microfractures, thereby improving the reservoir storage capacity. It can be deduced that the high percentage of residual gas in Niutitang Fm results from the strong reservoir storage capacity of adsorbed gas.Two layers of sweet spots with strong storage capacity of free gas,and they are characterized by the relatively high TOC contents ranging from 4 wt%to 8 wt%. | QIN Mingyang CAO Zheng GUO Jianhua HUANG Yanran SUN Lianpu DONG Li | 2019 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2019,93,3: | 3
The formation environment and development modes of Cenozoic source rocks in the Qiongdongnan Basin显示文摘According to the drilling results, there are three sets of source rocks of the Cenozoic Group in the Qiongdongnan Basin, including the Yacheng Formation transitional facies mudstone, the Oligocene Lingshui Formation semi-enclosed marine facies mudstone, and the Miocene neritic-bathyal facies mudstone. The hydrocarbon generating conditions of the source rocks in the study area are mainly controlled by sedimentary environment and organic matter input. The abundance of organic matter in the Oligocene source rocks which were formed in a low-energy back shore environment is confined by organic matter input and hydrodynamic condition. The Miocene source rocks formed in the open marine environment lack terrestrial organic matter input, whose organic matter abundance is constrained by the primary production of the ocean and the preservation condition of organic matter. In addition, the redox conditions are also significant to the formation of source rocks in the study area.According to the differences in key factors controlling the development of source rocks in different time periods and structural belts revealed by drilling practice, three development patterns of source rocks have been put forward. The first one is the transitional facies model featuring a great deal of terrestrial organic matter and weakly hydrodynamic conditions which are apt to develop high effective source rocks in the Yacheng Formation. The second one is the semi-enclosed marine facies featuring abundant terrestrial organic matter, weakly hydrodynamic condition and fine preservation condition in the central depression zone, which are apt to form fine-quality source rocks in the Lingshui Formation. The third one is the marine facies model featuring strong hydrodynamics in the shore-shallow area of northern continental shelf and the lack of benthic algae which are against the development of source rocks. It can be predicted that the continental slope is the perfect place to form source rocks where adequate amounts of light favor the photosynthesis of plants, besides the fine preservation and weakly hydrodynamic conditions. In the deep sea area, although accompanied with weakly hydrodynamic conditions and a reduction environment,it is not suitable for the development of source rocks on account of less aquatic organisms causing low primary production. | LI Wenhao ZHANG Zhihuan LI Youchuan FU Ning HUANG Yanran ZAN Ling ZHANG Huimin | 2012 | Chinese Journal Of Geochemistry2012,31,4: | 1
Geochemistry and geological significance of the Upper Paleozoic and Mesozoic source rocks in the Lower Yangtze region显示文摘The Lower Yangtze region is one of the important marine sedimentation areas of oil and gas distribution in southern China, for its favorable source rocks, reservoirs and covers. However, the intense tectonic movements and complex hydrocarbon generation process made it highly impossible to form large-sized oil and gas reservoirs. So it was divided to different hydrocarbon-bearing preservation units in oil-gas exploration.Recent study shows that the Permian and Lower Triassic source rocks in the Lower Yangtze region are complicated in lithology. The hydrocarbon generation potential of limestone there is low while argillaceous source rocks are overall of high abundance with excellent organic types, now in the process of hydrocarbon generation,so differences in high maturity influence the evaluation of organic matter abundance and type.Biomarker characteristics indicate a reductive environment.n-alkanes are marked by a single peak, with no odd-even predominance. The composition and distribution of the carbon numbers of n-alkanes,and the high abundance of long-chain tricyclic terpanes are indicative of marine sedi-mentation.The high contents of pregnane, homopregnane, rearranged hopane suggest that the source rocks are of high maturity. There is a good linear correlation between methylphenanthrene index and vitrinite reflectance. The correlation of oil-source rocks indicated that the oil of Well HT-3 may come from the Permian Longtan Formation in the Huangqiao area, the oil of Wells Rong-2 and Juping-1 came from the Lower Triassic Qinglong Formation in the Jurong area. The exploration here is promising in those different source rocks which all have great potential in hy-drocarbon generating, and oil and gas were produced in the late stage of hydrocarbon generation. | HUANG Yanran ZHANG Zhihuan WU Liyuan ZANG Chunjuan LI Qiong | 2012 | Chinese Journal Of Geochemistry2012,31,3: | 1
Highly sensitive humidity sensors based on hexagonal boron nitride nanosheets for contactless sensing显示文摘Humidity sensors with high sensitivity, rapid response, and facile fabrication process for contactless sensing applications have received considerable attention in recent years.Herein, humidity sensors based on hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN)nanosheets that are synthesized by a facile ultrasonic process have been fabricated, which display an ultrahigh sensitivity of 28,384%at 85%relative humidity(RH),rapid response/recovery time(3.0/5.5 s),and long-term stability in a wide humidity detection range(11%-85%RH),superior to most of the reported humidity sensors. The high sensitivity can be ascribed to the massive hydrophilic functional groups absorbed on the h-BN nanosheet surface.Benefiting from the high humidity sensing performances, contactless Morse code messaging and human writing and speech recognition have been demonstrated. This work demonstrates the great potential of the high-performance h-BN nanosheet-based humidity sensors for future contactless sensing devices. | Hang Liu Jinxu Qin Xigui Yang Chaofan Lv Wentao Huang Fukui Li Chuang Zhang Yanran Wu Lin Dong Chongxin Shan | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,7: | 0
TCR–pMHC bond conformation controls TCR ligand discrimination显示文摘A major unanswered question is how a TCR discriminates between foreign and self-peptides presented on the APC surface. Here,we used in situ fluorescence resonance energy transfer(FRET)to measure the distances of single TCR–pMHC bonds and the conformations of individual TCR–CD3ζreceptors at the membranes of live primary T cells. We found that a TCR discriminates between closely related peptides by forming single TCR–pMHC bonds with different conformations, and the most potent pMHC forms the shortest bond. The bond conformation is an intrinsic property that is independent of the binding affinity and kinetics,TCR microcluster formation, and CD4 binding. The bond conformation dictates the degree of CD3ζdissociation from the inner leaflet of the plasma membrane via a positive calcium signaling feedback loop to precisely control the accessibility of CD3ζITAMs for phosphorylation. Our data revealed the mechanism by which a TCR deciphers the structural differences among peptides via the TCR–pMHC bond conformation. | Dibyendu KSasmal Wei Feng Sobhan Roy Peter Leung Yanran He Chufan Cai Guoshuai Cao Huada Lian Jian Qin Enfu Hui Hans Schreiber Erin JAdams Jun Huang | 2020 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2020,17,3: | 0
Microfluidic methods for cell separation and subsequent analysis显示文摘Cell is the most basic unit of the morphological structure and life activity of an organism. Learning the composition, structure and function of cells, exploring the life activities of cells and studying the interaction between cells are of great significance for human cognition and control of the life activities of organisms. Therefore, rapid, convenient, inexpensive, high-precision and reliable methods of cell separation and analysis are being developed to obtain accurate information for the study of cytology and pathology.Microfluidic chip is a new emerging technology in recent years. It has a micromanufacturing structure, which can not only realize the precise space-time control of fluid and cells, but also reproduces the threedimensional dynamic microenvironment of cell growth in the body. In addition, the microfluidic chip has unique microphysical properties and facilitates the integration of microdevices, which provides the possibility of real-time monitoring, continuous culture, separation and enrichment, and even in situ analysis of cells. In this review, we summarized recent advances in the development of different techniques for cell isolation and analysis on microfluidic platforms. Focus was put on biochemical and physical methods for cell separation on microfluidic chips. Subsequent cell analysis depending on fluorescence, Raman, cytomicroscopic imaging, mass spectrometry and electrochemical methods also was remarked. Through analyzing and learning the advantages and disadvantages of different technologies, we hope that microfluidic chips will continue to be improved and expanded for medical and clinical applications. | Tianyou Chen Chunxia Huang Yanran Wang Jing Wu | 2022 | Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,3: | 0
Alantolactone inhibits proliferation, metastasis and promotes apoptosis of human osteosarcoma cells by suppressing Wnt/β-catenin and MAPKs signaling pathways显示文摘Although there are many therapeutic strategies such as surgery and chemotherapy, the prognosis of osteosarcoma(OS)is still far from being satisfactory. It is urgent to develop more effective, tolerable and safe drugs for the treatment of OS.In the present study,we investigated the anti-OS activity of Alantolactone(ALT),a natural eucalyptone sesquiterpene lactone mainly exists in Inula helenium, and probed the possible mechanism involved. We demonstrated that ALT significantly inhibited cell proliferation of various human OS cell lines while had relative lower cytotoxicity against normal cells. Then,we validated that ALT reduced migration, decreased invasion possibly through reversing epithelial mesenchymal transition(EMT)process and suppressing Matrix metalloproteinases(MMPs).Moreover,we confirmed that ALT promoted apoptosis and arrested cell cycle at G2/M phase of human OS cells in vitro. In addition,we confirmed that ALT restrained tumor growth and metastasis of OS 143 cells in a xenograft model in vivo.Mechanistically,ALT inhibited the activity of Wnt/β-catenin and p38,ERK1/2 and JNK Mitogen Activated Protein Kinases(MAPKs)signal pathway.Notably, the combination of ALT and Wnt/β-catenin inhibitor,as well as the combination of ALT and MAPKs inhibitors resulted in a synergistically effect on inhibiting the proliferation, migration and invasion of OS cells.Collectively, our results validate the ALT may inhibit proliferation, metastasis and promotes apoptosis of human OS cells possibly through suppressing Wnt/β-Catenin and MAPKs signaling pathways. | Chunmei Yang Lulu Zhang Huakun Huang Xiaohui Yuan Ping Zhang Caihong Ye Mengqi Wei Yanran Huang Xiaoji Luo Jinyong Luo | 2022 | Genes & Diseases2022,9,2: | 0

Echinatin inhibits tumor growth and synergizes with chemotherapeutic agents against human bladder cancer cells by activating p38 and suppressing Wnt/β-catenin pathways显示文摘Bladder cancer (BC) is one of the most common malignant tumors in the urinary system.Due to the poor prognosis and high mortality rate of the disease,it is urgent to develop new drugs with high efficacy and low toxicity to treat BC.Echinatin (Ecn) is a bioactive natural flavonoid oflicorice that has attracted special attention for its promising anti-tumor potential.Herein,we explored the inhibitory effects of Echinatin on BC cells and probed the possible molecular mechanism. We found that Ecnin vitro inhibited the proliferation, migration, and invasion, arrested the cell cycle at the G2/M phase, and promoted apoptosis in BC cells.Besides,Ecn had no notable cytotoxicity towards human normal cells. We subsequently confirmed that Ecn restrained xenograft tumor growth and metastasis of BC cells in vivo .Mechanistically,Ecn activated the p38 signaling pathway but inactivated the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway, while over-expression of β-catenin and the p38 inhibitor both attenuated the inhibitory effects of Ecn on BC cells.Remarkably,Ecn combined with cisplatin (DDP) or gemcitabine (Gem) had synergistic inhibitory effects on BC cells. In summary, our results validate that Ecn inhibits the tumor growth of human BC cells via p38 and Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathways.More meaningfully, our results suggest a potential strategy to enhance DDP- or Gem-induced inhibitory effects on BC cells by combining with Ecn. | Xiaoxuan Wang Lijuan Luo Jingtao Xu Qiuping Lu Haichao Xia Yanran Huang Lulu Zhang Liping Xie Habu Jiwa Shiqiong Liang Xiaoji Luo Jinyong Luo | 2024 | Genes & Diseases2024,11,2: | 0
