| 1 | Endovascular treatment with or without intravenous alteplase for acute ischaemic stroke due to basilar artery occlusion显示文摘Background and purpose It remains controversial if endovascular treatment(EVT)can improve the outcome of patients with acute basilar artery occlusion(BAO).This study aims to compare the functional outcomes between EVT with and without intravenous thrombolysis(IVT)first in patients who had acute ischaemic stroke(AIS)due to BAO.Methods Patients who had AIS with BAO who underwent EVT within 24 hours of onset were enrolled in this multicentre cohort study,and the efficacy and safety were compared between IVT+EVT and direct EVT.The primary outcome was 90-day functional independence.All outcomes were assessed with adjusted OR(aOR)from the multivariable logistic regression.In addition,a meta-analysis was performed on all recently published pivotal studies on functional independence after EVT in patients with BAO.Results Of 310 enrolled patients with BAO,241(78%)were treated with direct EVT and 69(22%)with IVT+EVT.Direct EVT was associated with a worse functional outcome(aOR,0.46(95%CI 0.24 to 0.85),p=0.01).IVT+EVT was associated with a lower percentage of patients who needed≥3 passes of stent retriever(10.14%vs 20.75%).The meta-analysis regression revealed a potential positive correlation between bridging with IVT first and functional independence(r=0.14(95%CI 0.05 to 0.24),p<0.01).Conclusions This study showed that compared with direct EVT,EVT with IVT first was associated with better functional outcomes in patients with BAO treated within 24 hours of onset.The meta-analysis demonstrated similar favourable efficacy of IVT first followed by EVT in patients with BAO. | Ximing Nie David Wang Yuehua Pu Yufei Wei Qixuan Lu Hongyi Yan Xin Liu Lina Zheng Jingyi Liu Xinxuan Yang Yarong Ding Dacheng Liu Wanying Duan Zhe Zhang Zhonghua Yang Miao Wen Weibin Gu Xinyi Hou Xinyi Leng Yuesong Pan Zhongrong Miao Liping Liu | 2022 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2022,7,3: | 10 |

| 3 | Bifunctional carbon-based cathode catalysts for zinc-air battery: A review显示文摘Efficient bifunctional OER/ORR catalysts are crucial for the further development of zinc-air battery. From a sustainable point of view, it is important that electrocatalysts are efficient, low cost, and composed of abundant resources instead of scarce metals. Due to their good conductivity, low cost, and strong durability, carbon-based materials are considered a promising alternative in the field of commercial zinc-air battery catalysts. Herein, we briefly introduce the zinc-air battery and then summarize recent progress in the development of carbon-based bifunctional catalysts by defect engineering, heteroatom doping and metal doping. | 7 | Booster Vaccination in Infancy Reduces the Incidence of Occult HBV Infection in Maternal HBsAg-positive Children显示文摘Background and Aims: Occult HBV infection (OBI) in chil-dren has proven to be associated with their immune re-sponse to hepatitis B vaccine (HepB). This study aimed to investigate the effect of a booster HepB on OBI, which is rarely investigated. Methods: This study enrolled 236 ma-ternal HBsAg-positive children who were followed up annu-ally until 8 years of age and were hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) negative. Of those 100 received a booster HepB be-tween 1 and 3 years of age (booster group), and 136 were never boosted (non-booster group). Serial follow-up data of children and baseline data of their mothers were collected and between-group differences were analyzed. Results: The incidence of OBI varied dynamically during follow-up, with 37.14% (78/210), 19.09% (42/220), 20.85% (44/211), 31.61% (61/193), 8.65% (18/208) and 12.71% (30/236) at 7 months, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 8 years of age. At 8 years of age, the negative conversion rate of HBV DNA in the booster group was significantly higher than that in non-booster group [57.89% (11/19) vs. 30.51% (18/59), p=0.032]. For chil-dren without OBI at 7 months old, the incidence of OBI in booster group was significantly lower than that in non-boost-er group [25.64% (10/39) vs. 67.74% (63/93), p<0.001]. We solved numerically the Euler-Lagrange equation and the boundary conditions holding on the membrane edge to obtain axisymmetric vesicle shapes, which minimize the total energy. The numerical results show that the size of the opening-up vesicle is larger when the line tension is lower.
