| 2 | Simultaneous desulfurization and denitrification of flue gas by pre-ozonation combined with ammonia absorption显示文摘A process of simultaneous desulfurization and denitrification of flue gas was conducted in this study.The flue gas containing 200 mg·m^-3NO,1000-4000 mg·m^-3SO(2,)3%-9%O(2)and 10%-20%CO(2)was first oxidized b(y)O3 and then absorbed by ammonia in a bubbling reactor.Increasing the ammonia concentration or the SO2 content in flue gas can promote the absorption of NOx and extend the effective absorption time.On the contrary,both increasing the absorbent temperature or the O(2)content shorten the effective absorption time of NO((x.))The change of solution pH had substantial influence on NOx absorption.In the presence of CO(2)the NOx removal efficiency reached 89.2%when the absorbent temperature was raised to 60℃and the effective absorption time can be maintained for 8 h,which attribute to the buffering effect in the absorbent.Besides,both the addition of Na(2)S2 O3 and urea can promote the NOx removal efficiency when the absorbent temperature is 25℃and the addition of Na(2)S2 O3 had achieved better results.The advantage of adding Na(2)S2 O3 became less evident at higher absorbent temperature and coexistence of CO(2.)In all experiments,SO(2)removal efficiency was always above 99%,and it was basically not affected by the above factors. | Baowei Wang Shumei Yao Yeping Peng | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2020,28,9: | 5 |

| 5 | Power flow in the coupled dynamic system of machinery and building floor显示文摘The transmision mechanism of vibrational power flow in the complex flekible coupled system of machinery mouned on a multi-storey plant building via isolators are studied in this paper from the viewpoint of energy. In view of practical isolation designs in engineering,an asymmetric isolation system with mtiltiple isolators on a fiekible foundation is modeled, in which the interactions between the machine and the floor, and among different mouating points are taken illto account. Moreover, the transmission characteristics of power flow in the system concerned are analyzed with the use of subsystem mobility synthetic techaique. | 7 | EEG processing and its application in brain-computer interface显示文摘Electroencephalogram (EEG) is an efficient tool in exploring human brains. It plays a very important role in diagnosis of disorders related to epilepsy and development of new interaction techniques between machines and human beings,namely,brain-computer interface (BCI). The purpose of this review is to illustrate the recent researches in EEG processing and EEG-based BCI. First,we outline several methods in removing artifacts from EEGs,and classical algorithms for fatigue detection are discussed. Then,two BCI paradigms including motor imagery and steady-state motion visual evoked potentials (SSMVEP) produced by oscillating Newton's rings are introduced. Finally,BCI systems including wheelchair controlling and electronic car navigation are elaborated. | 8 | Comparison of pencil beam and Monte Carlo calculations with ion chamber array measurements for patient-specific quality assurance显示文摘Objective:To determine under what conditions and criteria comparisons between calculations made with the current clinical treatment planning system(Syngo)and an in-house built TPS(TIMPS)would allow skipping of in-beam portal-specific measurements.Methods:Measurements were made with an array of 24 ion chambers in a water phantom for 227 proton and 313 carbon ion portals with and without a range shifter(RS).These measurements were compared with calculations performed with Syngo and TIMPS using metrics of average dose difference and Gamma index.Results:For proton portals without RS,if a Gamma comparison between TIMPS and Syngo passed using criteria of 90%of tested points being within 3%and 3 mm,then 74%of measurements would agree with both TIMPS and Syngo.For proton portals with RS,more than 80%of measurements would agree with both calculations using the same criteria.For carbon ion portals without RS,if a Gamma evaluation between TIMPS and Syngo passed with criteria of 90%of tested points being within 2%and 2 mm,85%of measurements would agree with both cal-culations.For carbon ion portals with RS,if a Gamma evaluation between TIMPS and Syngo passed with criteria of 90%of tested points being within 3%and 3 mm,60%of measurements would agree with both calculations.Conclusions:Both the pencil beam algorithm in Syngo and the FDC algorithm in TIMPS can provide accurate dose calculations in water for most clinical portals.For about 75%of portals,physicists can perform comparisons of calculations instead of phantom measurements to verify Syngo calculations thereby saving a large amount of beam time.There are some portals,however,such as for low-energy protons without RS and high-energy carbon ions,where agreement between the two calculations and measurements are not yet satisfactory to allow the elimination of all measurements. | Yu Deng Zhi Chen Qianxia Wang Pablo Yepes Zhuangming Shen Hongliang Chen Jie Li Michael F.Moyers | 2022 | Radiation Medicine and Protection2022,3,3: | 2 |

| 11 | Dimensional Description of On-line Wear Debris Images for Wear Characterization显示文摘As one of the most wear monitoring indicator, dimensional feature of individual particles has been studied mostly focusing on off-line analytical ferrograph. Recent development in on-line wear monitoring with wear debris images shows that merely wear debris concentration has been extracted from on-line ferrograph images. It remains a bottleneck of obtaining the dimension of on-line particles due to the low resolution, high contamination and particle's chain pattern of an on-line image sample. In this work, statistical dimension of wear debris in on-line ferrograph images is investigated. A two-step procedure is proposed as follows. First, an on-line ferrograph image is decomposed into four component images with different frequencies. By doing this, the size of each component image is reduced by one fourth, which will increase the efficiency of subsequent processing. The low-frequency image is used for extracting the area of wear debris, and the high-frequency image is adopted for extracting contour. Second, a statistical equivalent circle dimension is constructed by equaling the overall wear debris in the image into equivalent circles referring to the extracted total area and premeter of overall wear debris. The equivalent circle dimension, reflecting the statistical dimension of larger wear debris in an on-line image, is verified by manual measurement. Consequently, two preliminary applications are carried out in gasoline engine bench tests of durability and running-in. Evidently, the equivalent circle dimension, together with the previously developed concentration index, index of particle coverage area(IPCA), show good performances in characterizing engine wear conditions. The proposed dimensional indicator provides a new statistical feature of on-line wear particles for on-line wear monitoring. | 13 | Verification of an independent dose calculation method for portal-specific QA of proton and carbon ion beams显示文摘Objective:To verify the accuracy of an independent dose calculation method,as incorporated into an in-house developed treatment planning system(TPS),for performing quality assurance of dose distributions delivered to a water phantom planned by a clinical TPS.Methods:A Monte Carlo based track repeating algorithm was incorporated into an in-house treatment planning system for proton and carbon ion beams.Calculations were performed in a flat water phantom for both a traditional pencil beam algorithm and a new Monte Carlo algorithm,and then compared to measurements made at multiple depths with a 2D ionization array for 44 patient portals.The comparisons utilized a Gamma analysis.Results:A total of 124 measurements were performed for proton and carbon ion patient portals.Using a small Gamma criteria of 2%/2 mm,an average of 93%and 97%of measurement points passed for each portal for pencil beam and Monte Carlo calculations,respectively.The passing rate was substantially higher for Monte Carlo calculations than for pencil beam calculations for portals that used a range shifter.Conclusions:The implemented independent method has been verified against measurements.The high passing rate with small tolerances leads to the possibility of reducing the number of required quality assurance measurements. | Michael F.Moyers Qianxia Wang Yu Deng Hongliang Chen Zhi Chen Xiaoli Liu Nicki Schlegel Jie Li Zhuangming Shen James Lin Pablo Yepes | 2022 | Radiation Medicine and Protection2022,3,3: | 1 |
