| 1 | Ferroptosis is essential for diabetic cardiomyopathy and is prevented by sulforaphane via AMPK/NRF2 pathways显示文摘Herein,we define the role of ferroptosis in the pathogenesis of diabetic cardiomyopathy(DCM)by examining the expression of key regulators of ferroptosis in mice with DCM and a new ex vivo DCM model.Advanced glycation end-products(AGEs),an important pathogenic factor of DCM,were found to induce ferroptosis in engineered cardiac tissues(ECTs),as reflected through increased levels of Ptgs2 and lipid peroxides and decreased ferritin and SLC7 A11 levels.Typical morphological changes of ferroptosis in cardiomyocytes were observed using transmission electron microscopy.Inhibition of ferroptosis with ferrostatin-1 and deferoxamine prevented AGE-induced ECT remodeling and dysfunction.Ferroptosis was also evidenced in the heart of type 2 diabetic mice with DCM.Inhibition of ferroptosis by liproxstatin-1 prevented the development of diastolic dysfunction at 3 months after the onset of diabetes.Nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2(NRF2)activated by sulforaphane inhibited cardiac cell ferroptosis in both AGE-treated ECTs and hearts of DCM mice by upregulating ferritin and SLC7 A11 levels.The protective effect of sulforaphane on ferroptosis was AMP-activated protein kinase(AMPK)-dependent.These findings suggest that ferroptosis plays an essential role in the pathogenesis of DCM;sulforaphane prevents ferroptosis and associated pathogenesis via AMPK-mediated NRF2 activation.This suggests a feasible therapeutic approach with sulforaphane to clinically prevent ferroptosis and DCM. | Xiang Wang Xinxin Chen Wenqian Zhou Hongbo Men Terigen Bao Yike Sun Quanwei Wang Yi Tan Bradley B.Keller Qian Tong Yang Zheng Lu Cai | 2022 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,2: | 20 |

| 4 | Migration of multiples from the South China Sea显示文摘The South China Sea where water depth is up to 5000 m is the most promising oil and gas exploration area in China in the future.The seismic data acquired in the South China Sea contain various types of multiples that need to be removed before imaging can be developed.However,compared with the conventional reflection migration,multiples carry more information of the underground structure that helps provide better subsurface imaging.This paper presents a method to modify the conventional reverse time migration so that multiple reflections can migrate to their correct locations in the subsurface.This approach replaces the numerical impulsive source with the recorded data including primaries and multiples on the surface,and replaces the recorded primary reflection data with multiples.In the reverse time migration process,multiples recorded on the surface are extrapolated backward in time to each depth level,while primaries and multiples recorded on the surface are extrapolated forward in time to the same depth levels.By matching the difference between the primary and multiple images using an objective function,this algorithm improves the primary resultant image.Synthetic tests on Sigsbee2 B show that the proposed method can obtain a greater range and better underground illumination.Images of deep water in the South China Sea are obtained using multiples and their matching with primaries.They demonstrate that multiples can make up for the reflection illumination and the migration of multiples is an important research direction in the future. | LIU YiKe ZHU WeiLin MI LiJun ZHOU JiaXiong HAO Hu | 2015 | Science China Earth Sciences2015,58,3: | 6 |
| 5 | Novel Resonant Accelerometer with Micro Leverage Fabricated by MEMS Technology显示文摘For the purpose of improving the precision of the inertial guidance system,it is necessary to enhance the accuracy of the accelerometer.Combining the micro-fabrication processes with resonant sensor technology,a high-resolution inertial-grade novel micro resonant accelerometer is studied.Based on the detecting theory of the resonant sensors,the accelerometer is designed,fabricated,and tested.The accelerometer consists of one proofmass,two micro leverages and two double-ended-tuning-fork (DETF) resonators.The sensing principle of this accelerometer is based on that the natural frequency of the DETF resonator shifts with its axial load which is caused by inertial force.The push-pull configuration of the DETF is for temperature compensation.The two-stage micro leverage mechanisms are employed to amplify the force and increase the sensitivity of the accelerometer.The micro leverage and the resonator are modeled for static analysis and nonlinear modal analysis via theory method and finite element method (FEM),respectively.The geometrical parameters of them are optimized.The amplification factor of the leverage is 102,and the sensitivity of the resonator on theory is about 62 Hz/g.The samples of the accelerometer are fabricated with deep reactive ion etching (DRIE) technology which can get a high-aspect ratio structure for contributing a greater sensing-capacitance.The measuring results of the samples by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) show that the process is feasible,because of the complete structure,the sound combs and micro leverages,and the acceptable errors.The frequency of the resonator and the sensitivity of the accelerometer are tested via printed circuit board (PCB),respectively.The result of the test shows that the frequency of the push-resonator is about 54 530 Hz and the sensitivity of the accelerometer is about 55 Hz/g.The amplification factor of the leverage is calculated more accurately because the coupling of the two stages leverage is considered during derivation of the analysis formula.In addition,the novel differential structure of the accelerometer can greatly improve the sensitivity of the accelerometers. | HE Gaofa TANG Yike ZHOU Chuande HE Xiaoping WU Ying | 2011 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2011,24,3: | 5 |

| 7 | Targeted deletion of floral development genes in Arabidopsis with CRISPR/Cas9 using the RNA endoribonuclease Csy4 processing system显示文摘The formation of flowers in higher plants is controlled by complex gene regulatory networks.The study of floral development in Arabidopsis is promoted and maintained by transposon-tagged mutant lines.In this study,we report a CRISPR/Cas9 genome-editing system based on RNA endoribonuclease Csy4 processing to induce high-efficiency and inheritable targeted deletion of transcription factors involved in floral development in Arabidopsis.Using AP1,SVP,and TFL1 as the target genes,multisite and multiple-gene mutations were achieved with a tandemly arrayed Csy4-sgRNA architecture to express multiplexed sgRNAs from a single transcript driven by the Pol II promoter in transgenic lines.Targeted deletions of chromosomal fragments between the first exon and second exon in either one or three genes were generated by using a single binary vector.Interestingly,the efficiency of site-targeted deletion was comparable to that of indel mutation with the multiplexed sgRNAs.DNA sequencing analysis of RT-PCR products showed that targeted deletions of AP1 and TFL1 could lead to frameshift mutations and introduce premature stop codons to disrupt the open-reading frames of the target genes.In addition,no RT-PCR amplified product was acquired after SVPtargeted deletion.Furthermore,the targeted deletions resulted in abnormal floral development in the mutant lines compared to that of wild-type plants.AP1 and SVP mutations increased plant branching significantly,while TFL1 mutant plants displayed a change from indeterminate to determinate inflorescences.Thus,our results demonstrate that CRISPR/Cas9 with the RNA endoribonuclease Csy4 processing system is an efficient tool to study floral development and improve floral traits rapidly and simply. | Yingzhu Liu Yike Gao Yaohui Gao Qixiang Zhang | 2019 | Horticulture Research2019,6,1: | 4 |
| 8 | Green and Near-Infrared Dual-Mode Afterglow of Carbon Dots and Their Applications for Confidential Information Readout显示文摘Near-infrared(NIR),particularly NIR-containing dual-/multimode afterglow,is very attractive in many fields of application,but it is still a great challenge to achieve such property of materials. Herein,we report a facile method to prepare green and NIR dual-mode afterglow of carbon dots(CDs) through in situ embedding o-CDs(being prepared from o-phenylenediamine) into cyanuric acid(CA) matrix(named o-CDs@CA). Further studies reveal that the green and NIR afterglows of o-CDs@CA originate from thermal activated delayed fluorescence(TADF) and room temperature phosphorescence(RTP) of o-CDs,respectively. In addition,the formation of covalent bonds between o-CDs and CA,and the presence of multiple fixation and rigid e ects to the triplet states of o-CDs are confirmed to be critical for activating the observed dual-mode afterglow. Due to the shorter lifetime and insensitiveness to human vision of the NIR RTP of o-CDs@CA,it is completely covered by the green TADF during directly observing. The NIR RTP signal,however,can be readily captured if an optical filter(cut-o wavelength of 600 nm) being used. By utilizing these unique features,the applications of o-CDs@CA in anti-counterfeiting and information encryption have been demonstrated with great confidentiality. | 9 | Language Model Score Regularization for Speech Recognition显示文摘Inspired by the fact that back-off and interpolated smoothing algorithms have significant effect on statistical language modeling, this paper proposes a sentence-level Language model(LM) score regularization algorithm to improve the fault-tolerance of LMs for recognition errors. The proposed algorithm is applicable to both count-based LMs and neural network LMs. Instead of predicting the occurrence of a sequence of words under a fixed order Markov assumption, we use a composite model consisting of different order models with either n-gram or skip-gram features to estimate the probability of the sequence of words. In order to simplify implementations,we derive a connection between bidirectional neural networks and the proposed algorithm. Experiments were carried out on the Switchboard corpus.
