1Effects on antioxidant enzyme activities and osmolytes in Halocnemum strobilaceum under salt stress显示文摘The seedlings of Halocnermum strobilaceum were cultivated in 0.5%hoagland nutrient solution containing 0.0%,0.9%,2.7%and 5.4%of NaCl as well as composite salt(Na^+,Ca^(2+),K^+,Si^(4+)) for 20 days;all the contents are in weight ratio.Succulent level,inorganic ions(Na^+,K^+),organics such as betaine,proline,malondialdehyde,and antioxidant enzyme activities including superoxide dismutase(SOD),catalase(CAT),peroxidase(POD),betaine aldehyde dehydrogenase(BADH) were measured to reveal its salt tolerance mechanism.When the composite salt concentration reaches 5.4%,SOD activity level,and MDA content is five times the control group;when it reaches 2.7%,the succulent level of seedlings,and the content of K^+ in roots is nearly two times the NaCl treatment;the dry weight is more than three times the control group;with the NaCl treatment,MDA is three times the contrast;when the salt concentration is 2.7%,POD reaches the maximum.Results indicate that Si^(4+),K^+,and Ca^(2+) from composite salt in the roots of H.strobilaceum improved the water-holding capacity.The activities of antioxidant enzyme were raised by the accumulation of proline and betaine,which increased the salt tolerance.The absorption of K^+ promoted the high ratio of K^+/Na^+ and alleviated the damage of cell membranes of H.strobilaceum,which is associated with osmotic contents such as betaine and proline.TianPeng Gao Rui Guo XiangWen Fang ZhiGang Zhao GuoHua Chang YinQuan Chen Qing Zhang 2016Research in Cold and Arid Regions2016,8,1:2
2Whole-genome Duplication Reshaped Adaptive Evolution in A Relict Plant Species,Cyclocarya paliurus显示文摘Cyclocarya paliurus is a relict plant species that survived the last glacial period and shows a population expansion recently.Its leaves have been traditionally used to treat obesity and diabetes with the well-known active ingredient cyclocaric acid B.Here,we presented three C.paliurus genomes from two diploids with different flower morphs and one haplotype-resolved tetraploid assembly.Comparative genomic analysis revealed two rounds of recent whole-genome duplication events and identified 691 genes with dosage effects that likely contribute to adaptive evolution through enhanced photosynthesis and increased accumulation of triterpenoids.Resequencing analysis of 45 C.paliurus individuals uncovered two bottlenecks,consistent with the known events of environmental changes,and many selectively swept genes involved in critical biological functions,including plant defense and secondary metabolite biosynthesis.We also proposed the biosynthesis pathway of cyclocaric acid B based on multi-omics data and identified key genes,in particular gibberellinrelated genes,associated with the heterodichogamy in C.paliurus species.Our study sheds light on evolutionary history of C.paliurus and provides genomic resources to study the medicinal herbs.Yinquan Qu Xulan Shang Ziyan Zeng Yanhao Yu Guoliang Bian Wenling Wang Li Liu Li Tian Shengcheng Zhang Qian Wang Dejin Xie Xuequn Chen Zhenyang Liao Yibin Wang Jian Qin Wanxia Yang Caowen Sun Xiangxiang Fu Xingtan Zhang Shengzuo Fang 2023Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2023,21,3:1
3Genetic Diversity of Lotus(Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn.) Cultivars Revealed by ISSR Analysis显示文摘[Objectives] This study was conducted to investigate the genetic diversity of 20 lotus( Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn) samples. [Methods]On this optimal ISSR amplification system,16 primers were screened with good polymorphism,and the DNA was used to amplify the 20 plant samples. [Results] The 16 primers produced 225 loci,of which 170 were polymorphic,and the polymorphic loci percentage was up to 75. 56%. The genetic similarity coefficients between the 20 varieties ranged from 0. 577 8 to 0. 951 1,which were calculated by POPGENE32. The 20 varieties by UPMGA analysis could be clustered into 2 groups,the first of which included Baiyangdian red lotus and Donggua lotus,and other varieties was included in the second group.
