2Effect of Niobium on Microstructure and Properties of the CoCrFeNb_xNi High Entropy Alloys显示文摘A series of CoCrFeNb_xNi(x values in molar ratio, x = 0, 0.25, 0.45, 0.5, 0.75, 1.0 and 1.2) high entropy alloys(HEAs) was prepared to investigate the alloying effect of Nb on the microstructures and mechanical properties. The results indicate that the prepared CoCrFeNb_xNi(x > 0) HEAs consist of a simple FCC solid solution phase and a Laves phase. The microstructures of the alloys change from an initial single-phase FCC solid solution structure(x = 0) to a hypoeutectic microstructure(x = 0.25), then to a full eutectic microstructure(x = 0.45) and finally to a hypereutectic microstructure(0.5 < x < 1.2). The compressive test results show that the Nb0.45(x = 0.45) alloy with a full eutectic microstructure possesses the highest compressive fracture strength of 2558 MPa and a fracture strain of 27.9%. The CoCrFeNi alloy exhibits an excellent compressive ductility, which can reach 50% height reduction without fracture. The Nb0.25 alloy with a hypoeutectic structure exhibits a larger plastic strain of 34.8%. With the increase of Nb content, increased hard/brittle Laves phase leads to a decrease of the plasticity and increases of the Vickers hardness and the wear resistance. 4Soil respiration in tropical seasonal rain forest in Xishuangbanna, SW China显示文摘With the static opaque chamber and gas chromatography technique, from January 2003 to January 2004 soil respiration was investigated in a tropical seasonal rain forest in Xishuangbanna, SW China. In this study three treatments were applied, each with three replicates: A (bare soil), B (soil+litter), and C (soil+litter+seedling). The results showed that soil respiration varied seasonally, low from December 2003 to February 2004, and high from June to July 2004. The annual average values of CO2 efflux from soil respiration differed among the treatments at 1% level, with the rank of C (14642 mgCO2· m-2. h-1)>B (12807 mgCO2· m-2. h-1)>A (9532 mgCO2· m-2. h-1). Diurnal variation in soil respiration was not apparent due to little diurnal temperate change in Xishuangbanna. There was a parabola relationship between soil respiration and soil moisture at 1% level. Soil respiration rates were higher when soil moisture ranged from 35% to 45%. There was an exponential relationship between soil respiration and soil temperature (at a depth of 5cm in mineral soil) at 1% level. The calculated Q1o values in this study,ranging from 2.03 to 2.36, were very near to those of tropical soil reported. 5Flow Behaviour Analysis and Experimental Investigation for Emitter Micro-channels显示文摘The existing research of the flow behavior in emitter micro-channels mainly focuses on the single-phase flow behavior.And the recent micro-particle image velocimetry(PIV) experimental research on the flow characteristics in various micro-channels mainly focuses on the single-phase fluid flow.However,using an original-size emitter prototype to perform the experiments on the two-phase flow characteristics of the labyrinth channels is seldom reported.In this paper,the practical flow of water,mixed with sand escaped from filtering,in the labyrinth channel,is investigated.And some research work on the clogging mechanism of the labyrinth channel's structure is conducted.Computational fluid dynamics(CFD) analysis has been performed on liquid-solid two-phase flow in labyrinth-channel emitters.Based on flow visualization technology-micro-PIV,the flow in labyrinth channel has been photographed and recorded.The path line graph and velocity vector graph are obtained through the post-treatment of experimental results.The graphs agree well with CFD analysis results,so CFD analysis can be used in optimal design of labyrinth-channel emitters.And the optimized anti-clogging structures of the rectangular channel and zigzag channel have been designed here.The CFD numerical simulation and the micro-PIV experiments analysis on labyrinth-channel emitter,make the 'black box' of the flow behavior in the emitter channel broken.Furthermore,the proposed research promotes an advanced method to evaluate the emitter's performance and can be used to conducting the optimal design of the labyrinth-channel emitters.WEI Zhengying CAO Meng LIU Xia TANG Yiping LU Bingheng 2012Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2012,25,4:11
6Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of a CoFeNi_2V_(0.5)Nb_(0.75) Eutectic High Entropy Alloy in As-cast and Heat-treated Conditions显示文摘The eutectic CoFeNi_2V_(0.5)Nb_(0.75) high entropy alloys(HEAs) were heated at 500, 600, 700, 800 and 1000 ℃,respectively for 6 h and subsequently quenched in the water to investigate their thermal stability and phase transformation at high temperature. The microstructure and mechanical properties of the samples were investigated by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, compressive and hardness tests. It was found that the as-cast CoFeNi_2V_(0.5)Nb_(0.75) HEAs showed a eutectic microstructure with alternating fcc solid solution phase and Fe_2Nb-type Laves phase. The NbNi_4-type intermetallic phase appeared when the heat-treated temperature was higher than 600 ℃. With increasing quenching temperature, the volume fraction of the NbNi_4-type intermetallic phase increased while that of the eutectic regions decreased.The sample quenched at 800 ℃ showed the most excellent comprehensive mechanical properties; its fracture strength, yield strength and plastic strain were as high as 2586.76 MPa, 2075.18 MPa and 16.73%,respectively. 9Mechanical Properties Improvement of AlCrFeNi_2Ti_(0.5) High Entropy Alloy through Annealing Design and its Relationship with its Particle-reinforced Microstructures显示文摘High entropy alloy has attracted increasing attentions.However,to enhance the alloy strength often leads to impairment of the ductility,or vice versa.Here we reported a heat treatment approach on AlCrFeNi2Ti0.5 high entropy alloy,which can elevate the strength and ductility simultaneously.An ingot of AlCrFeNi2Ti0.5 weighing 2.5 kg was firstly fabricated by medium frequency induction melting.Then samples from the same height of the bulk ingot were annealed for 6 h at 600,700,800 and 1000 ℃,respectively.After 1000 ℃ annealing,an optimal microstructure was obtained by using our approach which can make some precipitation particles distribute homogeneously in the dendrite interior while keep the interdendrite structure as a single solid solution phase.The mechanical test on this AlCrFeNi2Ti0.5 alloy sample showed that,the compressive fracture strength σbc was increased by about600 MPa and the plastic strain ep was doubled,compared with those of the as-cast sample.Our approach can be readily adapted to large-scale industrial production of high entropy alloys with high strength and ductility by proper annealing treatment.Li Jiang Hui Jiang Yiping Lu Tongmin Wang Zhiqiang Cao Tingju Li 2015Journal of Materials Science & Technology2015,31,4:6

11Optimized prime editing efficiently generates glyphosate-resistant rice plants carrying homozygous TAP-IVS mutation in EPSPS显示文摘Dear Editor,Prime editing is a novel and universal CRISPR-Cas-derived precise genome-editing technology and has great potentials for applications in basic plant research and crop molecular breeding(Anzalone et al.,2019).Although low efficiency has restrained the original prime editors(PEs)from being used as a routine tool for precise genome editing in plants,an iterative update of the PEs is removing this obstacle(Lin et al.,2021;Xu et al.,2022).Recently,the Liu group reported three optimization strategies for improving prime editing efficiency(Chen et al.,2021;Nelson et al.,2022).The first strategy is based on engineered prime editing guide RNAs(epegRNAs),which were generated by incorporating structured RNA motifs to the 3′terminus of pegRNAs.This strategy enhances pegRNA stability and prevents degradation of the 3′extension(Nelson et al.,2022).The second strategy is based on the optimized PE2 protein(PEmax),which harbors a SpCas9 variant with increased nuclease activity,an additional nuclear localization signal(NLS)sequences,and a new linker between nCas9 and reverse transcriptase(Chen et al.,2021).The third strategy is based on inhibition of DNA mismatch repair(MMR)in cells(Chen et al.,2021).In this work,we tested the optimized PEs generated with these three strategies in rice,demonstrating that the optimized PEs greatly improved prime editing efficiency in rice.We named the two optimized PEs ePE3max and ePE5max:the former is comprised of the PEmax protein,an epegRNA with evopreQ1 appended to its 3′end,and a nicking sgRNA;the latter is comprised of the ePE3max system and a dominant negative OsMLH1 variant for inhibiting MMR.Using the two optimized PEs,we efficiently generated homozygous and heterozygous T173I,A174V,and P177S(TAP-IVS)mutation in EPSPS in rice,which lays a solid foundation for rice non-transgenic glyphosate-resistance breeding.Yuanyuan Jiang Yiping Chai Dexin Qiao Junya Wang Cuiping Xin Wei Sun Zhenghong Cao Yu Zhang Yun Zhou Xue-Chen Wang Qi-Jun Chen 2022Molecular Plant2022,15,11:3

14Experiments and simulations of gas-solid flow in an airlift loop reactor显示文摘The hydrodynamics in a gas-solid airlift loop reactor was investigated systematically using experimental measurements and CFD simulation.In the experiments,the time averaged parameters,such as solid fraction and particle velocity,were measured by optical fiber probe.In the simulation,the modified Gidaspow drag model accounting for the interparticles clustering was incorporated into the Eulerian-Eulerian CFD model with particulate-phase kinetic theory.Predicted values of solid fraction and particle velocity were compared with experimental results,validating the drag model and the simulation.The results show that the profiles of particle velocity and solid fraction are uniform in annulus.However,the core-annulus structure appears in other three regions (draft tube region,bottom region and particle diffluence region),which presents the similar heterogeneous feature of aggregative fluidization usually occurred in normal fluidized beds.Simulated profiles of particle residence time distribution indicate that the airlift loop reactor should be characterized by near perfect mixing.Chaoyu Yan Chunxi Lu Yiping Fan Rui Cao Yansheng Liu 2011Particuology2011,9,2:2
15Event-triggered bipartite consensus over cooperation-competition networks under DoS attacks显示文摘This paper addresses the bipartite consensus over cooperation-competition networks affected by denial-of-service(DoS) attacks.Consider that a network consists of multiple interactive agents, and the relationship between neighboring agents is cooperative or competitive. Meanwhile, information transmission among the agents is unavailable during the intervals of attacks. In order to save communication resources and exclude the Zeno behavior, an event-triggered scheme depending on the sampled-data information from neighboring agents is proposed, and efficient defense strategies in response to the attacks are put forward.Suppose that the frequency and duration of DoS attacks meet certain requirements, then according to the signed graph theory,the La Salle’s invariance principle, and the convergence of monotone sequences, the results of bipartite consensus via the eventtriggered protocol are provided, which are mainly related to the communication topology of the network, the sampling period,and the threshold parameters in the event-triggered scheme. It is shown that the bipartite consensus is realized even though the DoS attacks take place frequently. Furthermore, this paper discusses the bipartite consensus in the presence of DoS attacks with a random unsuccessful rate. 17Rnf20 deficiency in adipocyte impairs adipose tissue development and thermogenesis显示文摘RNF20,an E3 ligase critical for monoubiquitination of histone H2B at lysine 120(H2Bub),has been implicated in the regulation of various cellar processes;however,its physiological roles in adipocytes remain poorly characterized.Here,we report that the adipocyte-specific knockout of Rnf20(ASKO)in mice led to progressive fat toss,organomegaly and hyperinsulinemia.Despite signs of hyperinsulinemia,normal insulin sensitivity and improved glucose tolerance were observed in the young and aged CD-fed ASKO mice.In addition,high-fat diet-fed ASKO mice developed severe liver steatosis.Moreover,we observed that the ASKO mice were extremely sensitive to a cold environment due to decreased expression levels of brown adipose tissue(BAT)selective genes,including uncoupling protein 1(l/cpf),and impaired mitochondrial functions.Significantly decreased levels of peroxisome proliterator-activated receptor gamma(Ppary)were observed in the gonadal white adipose tissues(gWAT)from the ASKO mice,suggesting that Rnf20 regulates adipogenesis,at least in part,through Ppary.Rosiglitazone-treated ASKO mice exhibited increased fat mass compared to that of the non-treated ASKO mice.Collectively,our results illustrate the critical role of RNF20 in control of white and brown adipose tissue development and physiological function.Xiaojuan Liang Cong Tao Jianfei Pan Lilan Zhang Lulu Liu Ying Zhao Yiping Fan Chunwei Cao Jiali Liu Jin Zhang Sin Man Lam Guanghou Shui Wanzhu Jin Wei Li Jianguo Zhao Kui Li Yanfang Wang 2021Protein & Cell2021,12,6:1

19A METHOD OF LEUKOCYTE SEGMENTATION BASED ON S COMPONENT AND B COMPONENT IMAGES显示文摘A leukocyte segmentation method based on S component and B component images is proposed.Threshold segmentation operation is applied to get two binary images in S component and B component images.The samples used in this study are peripheral blood smears.It is easy tofind from the two binary images that gray values are the same at every corresponding pixels in theleukocyte cytoplasm region,but opposite in the other regions.The feature shows that 'IMAGEAND'operation can be employed on the two binary images to segment the cytoplasm region ofleukocyte.By doing'IMAGE XOR'operation between cytoplasn region and nucleus region,theleukocyte segment ation can be retrieved effectively.The segmentation accuracy is evaluated by comparing the segmentation result of the proposed method with the manual segmentation by ahematologist.Experiment results show that the proposed method is of a higher segmentationaccuracy and it also performs well when leukocytes overlap_with erythrocytes.The averagesegmentation accuracy of the proposed method reaches 97.7%for segmenting five types ofleukocyte.Good segmentation results provide an important foundation for leukocytes aut omaticrecognition.YIPING YANG YIPING CAO WENXIAN SHI 2014Journal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences2014,7,1:1
20A promising new class of plasticine: Metallic plasticine显示文摘Soft, malleable, and non-dry on exposure in air are the typical features for plain plasticine, which lead plasticine to be widely used in many industrial fields and our daily life. As a kind of clay, poorly electric conductivity and thermal conductivity of plain plasticine seriously limit its applications. Therefore,synthesizing a kind of plasticine having metallic bond is of importance for extending its applications in some special cases, such as thermal-cooling medium, anti-static electricity, electromagnetic shielding,etc. Here, we report a novel GaInSnCdZn_2 alloy, which exhibits similar behavior as compared to those of plasticine at near room temperature(30–40℃), and a good electrical conductivity due to its nature of metal. This new GaInSnCdZn_2 alloy can be called as metallic plasticine that contains the near-eutectic structure with low melting point and the other relatively high melting point phases. In this metallic plasticine, the near-eutectic structure with low melting point plays the same role as the oily ingredient in plain plasticine, dominating the plastic deformation, while the other relatively high melting point phases act as the stuffing like the CaCO3 in plain plasticine.
