1Clinical characteristics of 24 asymptomatic infections with COVID-19 screened among close contacts in Nanjing,China显示文摘Previous studies have showed clinical characteristics of patients with the 2019 novel coronavirus disease(COVID-19)and the evidence of person-to-person transmission.Limited data are available for asymptomatic infections.This study aims to present the clinical characteristics of 24 cases with asymptomatic infection screened from close contacts and to show the transmission potential of asymptomatic COVID-19 virus carriers.Epidemiological investigations were conducted among all close contacts of COVID-19 patients(or suspected patients)in Nanjing,Jiangsu Province,China,from Jan 28 to Feb 9,2020,both in clinic and in community.Asymptomatic carriers were laboratory-confirmed positive for the COVID-19 virus by testing the nucleic acid of the pharyngeal swab samples.Their clinical records,laboratory assessments,and chest CT scans were reviewed.As a result,none of the 24 asymptomatic cases presented any obvious symptoms while nucleic acid screening.Five cases(20.8%)developed symptoms(fever,cough,fatigue,etc.)during hospitalization.Twelve(50.0%)cases showed typical CT images of ground-glass chest and 5(20.8%)presented stripe shadowing in the lungs.The remaining 7(29.2%)cases showed normal CT image and had no symptoms during hospitalization.These 7 cases were younger(median age:14.0 years;P=0.012)than the rest.None of the 24 cases developed severe COVID-19 pneumonia or died.The median communicable period,defined as the interval from the first day of positive nucleic acid tests to the first day of continuous negative tests,was 9.5 days(up to 21 days among the 24 asymptomatic cases).Through epidemiological investigation,we observed a typical asymptomatic transmission to the cohabiting family members,which even caused severe COVID-19 pneumonia.Overall,the asymptomatic carriers identified from close contacts were prone to be mildly ill during hospitalization.However,the communicable period could be up to three weeks and the communicated patients could develop severe illness.These results highlighted the importance of close contact tracing and longitudinally surveillance via virus nucleic acid tests.Further isolation recommendation and continuous nucleic acid tests may also be recommended to the patients discharged.Zhiliang Hu Ci Song Chuanjun Xu Guangfu Jin Yaling Chen Xin Xu Hongxia Ma Wei Chen Yuan Lin Yishan Zheng Jianming Wang Zhibin Hu Yongxiang Yi Hongbing Shen 2020Science China(Life Sciences)2020,63,5:77
2Fabrication linalool-functionalized hollow mesoporous silica spheres nanoparticles for efficiently enhance bactericidal activity显示文摘To develop a novel food preservation technology for efficiently enhance bactericidal activity in a long term,hollow mesoporous silica spheres(HMSS)with regular nanostructures were applied to encapsulate natural organic antimicrobial agents.The chemical structures,morphologies and thermal stabilities of linalool,HMSS and linalool-functionalized hollow mesoporous silica spheres(L-HMSS)nanoparticles were evaluated by polarimeter,field emission scanning electron microscope(FE-SEM),transmission electron microscope(TEM),fourier transform infrared(FT-IR),thermal gravimetric analyzer(TGA),nitrogen adsorption-desorption,zeta potential and small angle X-ray diffraction(SXRD).The results show that the linalool was successfully introduced into the cavities of HMSS,and the inorganic host exhibited a high loading capacity of about 1500 mg/g.In addition,after 48 h of incubatio n,the minimum bactericidal concentrations(MBC)of L-HMSS against Escherichia coli(E.coli),Salmonella enterica(S.enterica)and Staphylococcus aureus(S.aureus),Listeria monocytogenes(L.monocytogenes)were decreased to be 4(<5)mg/mL and 8(<10)mg/mL,respectively.These results revealed linaloolfunctionalized hollow mesoporous spheres could efficiently improve the bactericidal activities of the organic component.Furthermore,SEM images clearly showed that L-HMSS indeed had an extremely inhibitory effect against gram-negative(E.coli)and gram-positive(S.aureus)by breaking the structure of the cell membrane.This research is of great significance in the application of linalool in nano-delivery system as well as food industry.Li Jin Xun Liu Changhao Bian Jie Sheng Yishan Song Yongheng Zhu 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,8:1
3Coalbursts in China: Theory, practice and management显示文摘Coalburst is one of the most serious disasters that threaten the safe production of coal mines, and this disaster is particularly serious in China. This paper presents an overview of coalbursts in China since 1980s. From the 'stress and energy' and 'regional and local' perspectives, the achievements in the theory, practice and management of coalbursts in China are systematically summarized. A theoretical system of coalbursts has been formed to reveal the deformational behavior of coalbursts and explain the mechanism of coalbursts. The occurrence conditions of coalbursts are put forward and the critical stress is obtained. The stress index method for risk evaluation of coalbursts before mining is proposed, and the deformation localization prediction method of coalbursts is put forward. The relationship between energy release and absorption in the process of coalbursts is found, and the prevention and control methods of coalbursts, including the regional method, the local method and support, are presented. The safety evaluation index of coalburst prevention and control is put forward. The integrated prevention and control method for coal and gas outbursts is proposed. The prevention and control technology and equipment of coalbursts have also been developed. Amongst them, the distribution law of the critical stress in China coalburst mines is discovered. The technology and equipment for monitoring, prevention and control of coalbursts, as well as for integrated prevention and control of combined coalbursts and other disasters, have been developed. The energy-absorbing and coalburst-preventing support technology for roadways is invented, and key engineering parameters of coalburst prevention and control are pointed out. In China, coalburst prevention and control laws and standards have been developed. 4Molecular Cloning and Bioinformatics Analysis of kdpE Gene from Vibrio alginolyticus显示文摘The two-component regulatory system plays an important role in the growth and virulence of bacteria.In this study,the phosphate transcriptional regulatory protein (KdpE) gene of Vibrio alginolyticus strain HY9901 was cloned.Sequence analysis revealed that the length of kdp E gene is 732 bp and encodes a putative protein of 243 amino acids.The predicted molecular weight (MW) of Kdp E was 27.66 k D with an estimated p I of 5.01.Using SignalP 4.0 and TMHMM Server 2.0 software,it was predicted that the Kdp E protein was located in cytoplasm.It did not contain a signal peptide or a transmembranous region.A phylogenetic tree was constructed by MEGA 5.0 software,indicating that the Kdp E of V.alginolyticus had high genetic relationship with Vibrio campbellii and Vibrio parahaemolyticus.Using SWISS-MODEL work-space,the three-dimensional structures of conserved domain REC in the Kdp E was determined.These results can provide a basis for further studies on the two-component regulatory systems of V.alginolyticus.Hong Shunhua Yang Fan Pang Huanying Zhang Yanfei Song Dawei Wang Zhiwen Lu Yishan Jian Jichang 2016Animal Husbandry and Feed Science2016,8,5:0
5Synthesis and Luminescence of Eu-N^(2),N^(6)-Bis(2-hydroxyethyl)pyridine-2,6-dicarboxamide Complexes Containing Mesoporous Material显示文摘Ligand N^(2),N^(6)-bis(2-hydroxyethyl)pyridine-2,6-dicarboxamide(L=BHPC)was synthesized and used to construct lanthanide-based mesoporous material Eu-L-MCM-41.In the structure of resulting Eu-L-MCM-41,Eu^(3+)was chelated by BHPC,and the Eu-L complexes were anchored into the forming MCM-41 host by the reaction between the hydroxyl group and active Si-OH.The mesoporous material Eu-L-MCM-41 was characterized by UV,IR,small-angle X-ray diffraction(SAXRD)patterns,nitrogen adsorption/desorption isotherms,TGA and fluorescence spectra.The results indicate that ligand and Eu^(3+) have been introduced into the MCM-41 host,and Eu-L-MCM-41 exhibits characteristic luminescence of Eu^(3+).Zheng Li Siyu Zuo Jingjian Zhou Xiao Yuan Yishan Song Hua Zhang 2015Chinese Journal of Chemistry2015,33,2:0
6Demand-aware mobile bike-sharing service using collaborative computing and information fusion in 5G IoT environment显示文摘Mobile bike-sharing services have been prevalently used in many cities as an important urban commuting service and a promising way to build smart cities,especially in the new era of 5G and Internet-of-Things(IoT)environments.A mobile bike-sharing service makes commuting convenient for people and imparts new vitality to urban transportation systems.In the real world,the problems of no docks or no bikes at bike-sharing stations often arise because of several inevitable reasons such as the uncertainty of bike usage.In addition to pure manual rebalancing,in several works,attempts were made to predict the demand for bikes.In this paper,we devised a bike-sharing service with highly accurate demand prediction using collaborative computing and information fusion.We combined the information of bike demands at different time periods and the locations between stations and proposed a dynamical clustering algorithm for station clustering.We carefully analyzed and discovered the group of features that impact the demand of bikes,from historical bike-sharing records and 5G IoT environment data.We combined the discovered information and proposed an XGBoost-based regression model to predict the rental and return demand.We performed sufficient experiments on two real-world datasets.The results confirm that compared to some existing methods,our method produces superior prediction results and performance and improves the availability of bike-sharing service in 5G IoT environments.Xiaoxian Yang Yueshen Xu Yishan Zhou Shengli Song Yinchen Wu 2022Digital Communications and Networks2022,8,6:0
