1Crustal deformation on the Chinese mainland during 1998—2004 based on GPS data显示文摘This study focuses on resolving moderate amounts of crustal motion at the continental scale based on a large volume of global positioning system(GPS) data during 1998e2014. A state-of-the-art GPS processing strategy was used to resolve position time series and velocities from carrier beat phases for all available data. Position time series were closely analyzed to estimate linear constant, coseismic displacements, postseismic motions, and other parameters. We present coseismic offsets inferred from the GPS data for the 2010 Yushu and 2014 Yutian earthquakes, and also illustrate transient postseismic motions following the 2001 Kokoxili, 2008 Wenchuan, and 2011 Tohoku-Oki earthquakes. Since not all GPS position time series dominated by postseismic motions can be modeled and corrected reasonably, we present contemporary horizontal velocities from 2009 to 2014 for campaign stations and from 1998 to 2014 for continuous stations, irrespective of postseismic deformations. 2Androgen receptor: structure, role in prostate cancer and drug discovery显示文摘Androgens and androgen receptors (AR) play a pivotal role in expression of the male phenotype. Several diseases, such as androgen insensitivity syndrome (AIS) and prostate cancer, are associated with alterations in AR functions. Indeed, androgen blockade by drugs that prevent the production of androgens and/or block the action of the AR inhibits prostate cancer growth. However, resistance to these drugs often occurs after 2-3 years as the patients develop castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC). In CRPC, a functional AR remains a key regulator. Early studies focused on the functional domains of the AR and its crucial role in the pathology. The elucidation of the structures of the AR DNA binding domain (DBD) and ligand binding domain (LBD) provides a new framework for understanding the functions of this receptor and leads to the development of rational drug design for the treatment of prostate cancer. 4Effects of Blade Number on Characteristics of Centrifugal Pumps显示文摘The blade number of impeller is an important design parameter of pumps,which affects the characteristics of pump heavily.At present,the investigation focuses mostly on the performance characteristics of axis flow pumps,the influence of blade number on inner flow filed and characteristics of centrifugal pump has not been understood completely.Therefore,the methods of numerical simulation and experimental verification are used to investigate the effects of blade number on flow field and characteristics of a centrifugal pump.The model pump has a design specific speed of 92.7 and an impeller with 5 blades.The blade number is varied to 4,6,7 with the casing and other geometric parameters keep constant.The inner flow fields and characteristics of the centrifugal pumps with different blade number are simulated and predicted in non-cavitation and cavitation conditions by using commercial code FLUENT.The impellers with different blade number are made by using rapid prototyping,and their characteristics are tested in an open loop.The comparison between prediction values and experimental results indicates that the prediction results are satisfied.The maximum discrepancy of prediction results for head,efficiency and required net positive suction head are 4.83%,3.9% and 0.36 m,respectively.The flow analysis displays that blade number change has an important effect on the area of low pressure region behind the blade inlet and jet-wake structure in impellers.With the increase of blade number,the head of the model pumps increases too,the variable regulation of efficiency and cavitation characteristics are complicated,but there are optimum values of blade number for each one.The research results are helpful for hydraulic design of centrifugal pump.LIU Houlin WANG Yong YUAN Shouqi TAN Minggao WANG Kai 2010Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2010,23,6:28
5Surveillance, epidemiology, and pathogen spectrum of hand, foot, and mouth disease in mainland of China from 2008 to 2017显示文摘Hand,foot and mouth disease(HFMD)was reported in May 2,2008 to be the 38th legally notifiable disease in China's National Notifiable Disease Reporting and Surveillance System.In order to solve the infection,an extensive three-level HFMD surveillance laboratory network was established.In this study,the framework of that network is assessed and the incidence of HFMD in China from 2008 to 2017 is reported using a descriptive epidemiologic method.During these 10 years,a series of techniques have been widely applied in all the network laboratories.Using information and material obtained from the network,a virus bank and database containing 18,238 viruses were established.Nationally,18,184,834 HFMD cases,including 152,436 severe cases and 3633 fatal cases,were reported in mainland of China.The average annual incidence in the population was 133.99/100,000 people,with a maximum incidence of 205.06/100,000 people in 2014.The incidence and mortality rates of HFMD were the highest in children aged 1–2 years.The numbers of reported cases fluctuated,with a high incidence observed every 2 years.An overall increase in the number of reported cases was also observed throughout the study period.Despite this,the incidence of severe cases and the mortality rate have been decreasing.High-risk regions are located in southern,eastern,and central China.Two peaks of HFMD infection cases were observed annually except for Northeast China.Different proportions of enterovirus serotypes were observed during the studied years.The predominant enterovirus varies from year to year,but the disease severity is always closely related to the specific serotype.EV-A71 is the dominant serotype associated with severe and fatal cases,with constituent ratios of 70.03%and 92.23%,respectively.The studied highly sensitive and efficient surveillance network provides information that is critical for prevention and control of the disease.It is extremely necessary and important to continuously conduct extensive virological surveillance for HFMD.Tianjiao Ji Taoli Han Xiaojuan Tan Shuangli Zhu Dongmei Yan Qian Yang Yang Song Aili Cui Yan Zhang Naiying Mao Songtao Xu Zhen Zhu Dandan Niu Yong Zhang Wenbo Xu 2019Biosafety and Health2019,1,1:26
6A comprehensive review of Energy Internet: basic concept,operation and planning methods, and research prospects显示文摘With the intensifying energy crisis and environmental pollution, the Energy Internet and corresponding patterns of energy use have been attracting more and more attention. In this paper, the basic concept and characteristics of the Energy Internet are summarized, and its basic structural framework is analyzed in detail. On this basis,couplings between the electric power system and other systems such as the cooling and heating system, the natural gas system, and the traffic system are analyzed, and the operation and planning of integrated energy systems in both deterministic and uncertain environments are comprehensively reviewed. 8Immunoregulatory effects of Tripterygium wilfordii Hook Fand its extracts in clinical practice显示文摘Tripterygium wilfordii Hook F (TwHF) and its extracts have long been used for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, autoimmune diseases, and kidney disease due to their anti-inflammatory, immunoregulatory, and other pharmacological effects. However, the clinical immunoregulatory effects of TwHF and its extracts remain unclear, so we reviewed their effects for use in clinical practice. This review provides a comprehensive summary of the recent literature on the immunoregulatory effects of TwHF and its extracts in clinical studies. TwHF and its extracts affect the proliferation and activation of T and B cells;ratio of T cell subsets;inflammatory response of monocytes, macrophages, and immunoglobulins;and secretion of many cytokines. Together, these effects dictate immune function in a variety of diseases. 10Cardioprotection of Shenfu preparata on cardiac myocytes through cytochrome P450 2J3显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate whether Shenfu injection(SFI)protects against cardiac myocyte injury induced by Fupian injection(FPI)in vitro.METHODS:H9c2 cells were separately treated with FPI,Renshen injection(RSI)and SFI.Cell viability,lactate dehydrogenase(LDH)release,spontaneous beating rate of primative cardical cells,caspase-3/7 activity,cell apoptosis,and cytochrome P450 2J3(CYP2J3)mRNA expression were analyzed.RESULTS:The viability of H9c2 cells treated with SFI(37 and 75 mg/mL)was significantly higher than that of H9c2 cells treated with FPI(25 and 50 mg/mL)(P<0.05,P<0.01,respectively).LDH activity of H9c2 cells treated with SFI(75 mg/mL)was significantly decreased(P<0.01)compared with that of H9c2 cells treated with FPI(50 mg/mL).SFI(150 mg/mL)significantly attenuated FPI(100 mg/mL)-induced spontaneous beating rate decrease in primary myocardial cells after4-hour treatment.Compared with FPI(12 and 25 mg/mL),SFI(18 and 37 mg/mL)treatment could effectively reverse the change of caspase-3/7 activity(P<0.01 and P<0.01,respectively).Compared with FPI(6 and 25 mg/mL),apoptotic cells decreased significantly(P<0.05,P<0.01,respectively)when H9c2 cells were incubated with SFI(9 and 37 mg/mL).The expression of CYP2J3 mRNA was down-regulated by FPI,while RSI and SFI could up-regulate the expression of CYP2J3(P<0.01),which suggested the potential mechanism of protection of RSI against cardiac myocyte damage induced by FPI treatment.CONCLUSION:These observations indicate that SFI has the potential to exert cardioprotective effects against FPI toxicity.The effect was possibly correlated with the activation of CYP2J3.Yong Xiao Zeng-chun Ma Yu-guang Wang Hong-ling Tan Xiang-ling Tang Qian-de Liang Cheng-rong Xiao Yue Gao 2013Journal of Integrative Medicine2013,11,5:17

14Numerical Research on Performance Prediction for Centrifugal Pumps显示文摘Performance prediction for centrifugal pumps is now mainly based on numerical calculation and most of the studies merely focus on one model. Therefore, the research results are not representative. To make an improvement of numerical calculation method and performance prediction for centrifugal pumps, performance of six centrifugal pump models at design flow rate and off design flow rates, whose specific speed are different, were simulated by using commercial code FLUENT. The standard k-ε turbulence model and SIMPLEC algorithm were chosen in FLUENT. The simulation was steady and moving reference frame was used to consider the impeller-volute interaction. Also, how to dispose the gap between impeller and volute was presented and the effect of grid number was considered. The characteristic prediction model for centrifugal pumps is established according to the simulation results. The head and efficiency of the six models at different flow rates are predicted and the prediction results are compared with the experiment results in detail. The comparison indicates that the precision of head and efficiency prediction are all less than 5%. The flow analysis indicates that flow change has an important effect on the location and area of low pressure region behind the blade inlet and the direction of velocity at impeller inlet. The study shows that using FLUENT simulation results to predict performance of centrifugal pumps is feasible and accurate. 15Effectiveness of co-treatment with traditional Chinese medicine and letrozole for polycystic ovary syndrome:a meta-analysis显示文摘BACKGROUND:Polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS) is an endocrine disease that affects gynecological health.Treatment of PCOS remains a big challenge for clinicians.OBJECTIVE:This meta-analysis was developed to compare the efficacy of co-treatment with traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) and letrozole against letrozole monotherapy in the treatment of PCOS.SEARCH STRATEGY:Randomized controlled trials(RCTs) were electronically retrieved from PubMed,Cochrane Library,China Biomedical Literature Database,China National Knowledge Infrastructure and Wanfang Data;related papers that were not available electronically were manually checked.All papers were assessed according to the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions and the valid data were analyzed using Revman software(The Cochrane Collaboration,Copenhagen,Denmark).INCLUSION CRITERIA:We included RCTs that compared co-treatment with TCM and letrozole against letrozole monotherapy in women with PCOS,which was defined by anovulation,biochemical or clinical hyperandrogenemia and polycystic ovaries.We included trials from all sources.DATA EXTRACTION AND ANALYSIS:Two independent reviewers extracted data,and evaluated study quality according to the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions criteria for RCT,including issues of patient randomization,blinding and bias.RESULTS:Eight RCTs,involving a total of 537 patients,were included in the present study.The meta-analysis showed that the cycle ovulation rate,the pregnancy rate and the total effective rate of symptom treatment were higher in treatments combining TCM with letrozole,compared with letrozole monotherapy.Although the rate of luteinizing hormone(LH)/follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH) and the body mass index of the group receiving combined therapy were lower than in letrozole monotherapy,no statistical difference was found in the LH and FSH level between the two groups.CONCLUSION:Available evidence showed that co-treatment with TCM and letrozole was more effective than letrozole monotherapy in the treatment of PCOS.Qian-wen Ma Yong Tan 2017Journal of Integrative Medicine2017,15,2:14
16Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal colonization of Glycyrrhiza glabra roots enhances plant biomass,phosphorus uptake and concentration of root secondary metabolites显示文摘Arbuscular mycorrhizal(AM)fungi penetrate the cortical cells of the roots of vascular plants,and are widely distributed in soil.The formation of these symbiotic bodies accelerates the absorption and utilization of mineral elements,enhances plant resistance to stress,boosts the growth of plants,and increases the survival rate of transplanted seedlings.We studied the effects of various arbuscular mycorrhizae fungi on the growth and development of licorice(Glycyrrhiza glabra).Several species of AM,such as Glomus mosseae,Glomus intraradices,and a mixture of fungi(G.mosseae,G.intraradices,G.cladoideum,G.microagregatum,G.caledonium and G.etunicatum)were used in our study.Licorice growth rates were determined by measuring the colonization rate of the plants by the fungi,plant dry biomass,phosphorus concentration and concentration of secondary metabolites.We established two cloned strains of licorice,clone 3(C3)and clone 6(C6)to exclude the effect of genotypic variations.Our results showed that the AM fungi could in fact increase the leaf and root biomass,as well as the phosphorus concentration in each clone.Furthermore,AM fungi significantly increased the yield of certain secondary metabolites in clone 3.Our study clearly demonstrated that AM fungi play an important role in the enhancement of growth and development of licorice plants.There was also a significant improvement in the secondary metabolite content and yield of medicinal compounds from the roots.HongLing LIU Yong TAN Monika NELL Karin ZITTER-EGLSEER Chris WAWSCRAH Brigitte KOPP ShaoMing WANG Johannes NOVAK 2014Journal of Arid Land2014,6,2:13
17Topographic differentiations of biological soil crusts and hydraulic properties in fixed sand dunes, Tengger Desert显示文摘Biological soil crusts(BSCs) play an important role in surface soil hydrology. Soils dominated with moss BSCs may have higher infiltration rates than those dominated with cyanobacteria or algal BSCs. However, it is unnown whether improved infiltration in moss BSCs is accompanied by an increase in soil hydraulic conductivity or water retention capacity. We investigated this question in the Tengger Desert, where a 43-year-old revegetation program has promoted the formation of two distinct types of BSCs along topographic positions, i.e. the moss-dominated BSCs on the interdune land and windward slopes of the fixed sand dunes, and the algal-dominated BSCs on the crest and leeward slopes. Soil water retention capacity and hydraulic conductivity were measured using an indoor evaporation method and a field infiltration method. And the results were fitted to the van Genuchten–Mualem model. Unsaturated hydraulic conductivities under greater water pressure(<–0.01 MPa) and water retention capacities in the entire pressure head range were higher for both crust types than for bare sand. However, saturated and unsaturated hydraulic conductivities in the near-saturation range(>–0.01 MPa) showed decreasing trends from bare sand to moss crusts and to algal crusts. 18Serum N-glycan markers for diagnosing liver fibrosis induced by hepatitis B virus显示文摘BACKGROUND Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is the primary cause of hepatitis with chronic HBV infection,which may develop into liver fibrosis,cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma.Detection of early-stage fibrosis related to HBV infection is of great clinical significance to block the progression of liver lesion.Direct liver biopsy is regarded as the gold standard to detect and assess fibrosis;however,this method is invasive and prone to clinical sampling error.In order to address these issues,we attempted to find more convenient and effective serum markers for detecting HBV-induced early-stage liver fibrosis.AIM To investigate serum N-glycan profiling related to HBV-induced liver fibrosis and verify multiparameter diagnostic models related to serum N-glycan changes.METHODS N-glycan profiles from the sera of 432 HBV-infected patients with liver fibrosis were analyzed.Significant changed N-glycan levels (peaks)(P <0.05) in differentfibrosis stages were selected in the modeling group,and multiparameter diagnostic models were established based on changed N-glycan levels by logistic regression analysis.The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis was performed to evaluate diagnostic efficacy of N-glycans models.These models were then compared with the aspartate aminotransferase to platelet ratio index (APRI),fibrosis index based on the four factors (FIB-4),glutamyltranspeptidase platelet albumin index (S index),GlycoCirrho-test,and GlycoFibro-test.Furthermore,we combined multiparameter diagnostic models with alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and platelet (PLT) tests and compared their diagnostic power.In addition,the diagnostic accuracy of N-glycan models was also verified in the validation group of patients.RESULTS Multiparameter diagnostic models constructed based on N-glycan peak 1,3,4and 8 could distinguish between different stages of liver fibrosis.The area under ROC curves (AUROCs) of Model A and Model B were 0.890 and 0.752,respectively differentiating fibrosis F0-F1 from F2-F4,and F0-F2 from F3-F4,and surpassing other serum panels.However,AUROC (0.747) in Model C used for the diagnosis of F4 from F0-F3 was lower than AUROC (0.795) in FIB-4.In combination with ALT and PLT,the multiparameter models showed better diagnostic power (AUROC=0.912,0.829,0.885,respectively) when compared with other models.In the validation group,the AUROCs of the three combined models (0.929,0.858,and 0.867,respectively) were still satisfactory.We also applied the combined models to distinguish adjacent fibrosis stages of 432patients (F0-F1/F2/F3/F4),and the AUROCs were 0.917,0.720 and 0.785.CONCLUSION Multiparameter models based on serum N-glycans are effective supplementary markers to distinguish between adjacent fibrosis stages of patients caused by HBV,especially in combination with ALT and PLT.Xi Cao Qing-Hua Shang Xiao-Ling Chi Wei Zhang Huan-Ming Xiao Mi-Mi Sun Gang Chen Yong An Chun-Lei Lv Lin Wang Yue-Min Nan Cui-Ying Chen Zong-Nan Tan Xue-En Liu Hui Zhuang 2020World Journal of Gastroenterology2020,26,10:12
19Dyslipidemia and Outcome in Patients with Acute Ischemic Stroke显示文摘Objective To study the relationship between dyslipidemia and outcome in patients with acute ischemic stroke. Methods Data about 1 568 patients with acute ischemic stroke were collected from 4 hospitals in Shandong Province from January 2006 to December 2008. National Institute of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS) >10 at discharge or death was defined as the outcome. Effect of dyslipidemia on outcome in patients with acute ischemic stroke was analyzed by multivariate logistic regression analysis and propensity score-adjusted analysis, respectively. Results The serum levels of TC, LDL-C, and HDL-C were significantly associated with the outcome in patients with acute ischemic stroke. Multivariate logistic regression analysis and propensity score-adjusted analysis showed that the ORs and 95% CIs were 3.013(1.259, 7.214)/2.655(1.298, 5.43), 3.157(1.306, 7.631)/3.405(1.621, 7.154), and 0.482(0.245, 0.946)/0.51(0.282, 0.921), respectively, for patients with acute ischemic stroke. Hosmer-Lemeshow goodness-of-fit test showed no significant difference in observed and predicted risk in patients with acute ischemic stroke(chi-square=8.235, P=0.411).
