| 1 | Cascade conditional generative adversarial nets for spatial-spectral hyperspectral sample generation显示文摘Sample generation is an effective way to solve the problem of the insufficiency of training data for hyperspectral image classification.The generative adversarial network(GAN)is one of the popular deep learning methods,which utilizes adversarial training to generate the region of samples based on the required class label.In this paper,we propose cascade conditional generative adversarial nets for hyperspectral image complete spatial-spectral sample generation,named C2GAN.The C2GAN includes two stages.The stageone model consists of the spatial information generation with a window size that entails feeding random noise and the required class label.The second stage is the spatial-spectral information generation that generates spectral information of all bands in the spatial region by feeding the label regions.The visualization and verification of generated samples based on the Pavia University and Salinas datasets show superior performance,which demonstrates that our method is useful for hyperspectral image classification. | Xiaobo LIU Yulin QIAO Yonghua XIONG Zhihua CAI Peng LIU | 2020 | Science China(Information Sciences)2020,63,4: | 9 |
| 2 | The osmolyte-producing endophyte Streptomyces albidoflavus OsiLf-2 induces drought and salt tolerance in rice via a multi-level mechanism显示文摘Drought and salinity are major environmental stresses that impair crop growth and productivity worldwide. Improving drought and salt tolerance of crops with microbial mutualists is an effective and environmentally sound strategy to meet the demands of the ever-growing world population. In the present study, we found that the Streptomyces albidoflavus Osi Lf-2, a moderately salt-tolerant endophytic actinomycete, produced abundant osmolytes, including proline, polysaccharides, and ectoine. Inoculation with Osi Lf-2 increased the osmotic-adjustment ability of the rice host by increasing the proline content(by250.3% and 49.4%) and soluble sugar(by 20.9% and 49.4%) in rice under drought and salt conditions, relative to the uninoculated control. Osi Lf-2 increased stress responses in the rice host at the physiological and biochemical levels(photosynthesis efficiency, osmolytes and antioxidant content), and the gene level(osmolytes synthesis, stress-responsive and ion-transport related genes), raising rice yields under both greenhouse and saline–alkaline soil conditions. | 3 | Identification and application of nonlinear dynamic load models显示文摘An alternating least squares approach is developed in this paper to identify the exponential recovery dynamic load model of wide-area power systems. The nonlinear optimization problem is decomposed to two linear least squares problems, and solved in an alternating way. Then, a new algorithm for numerical derivative calculation using discrete Fourier transform is proposed to attenuate the effect of noises in the process of parameter estimation. Based on the estimated dynamic load characteristics, the application on voltage stability is analyzed. | 7 | Mixed Deep Reinforcement Learning Considering Discrete-continuous Hybrid Action Space for Smart Home Energy Management显示文摘This paper develops deep reinforcement learning(DRL)algorithms for optimizing the operation of home energy system which consists of photovoltaic(PV)panels,battery energy storage system,and household appliances.Model-free DRL algorithms can efficiently handle the difficulty of energy system modeling and uncertainty of PV generation.However,discretecontinuous hybrid action space of the considered home energy system challenges existing DRL algorithms for either discrete actions or continuous actions.Thus,a mixed deep reinforcement learning(MDRL)algorithm is proposed,which integrates deep Q-learning(DQL)algorithm and deep deterministic policy gradient(DDPG)algorithm.The DQL algorithm deals with discrete actions,while the DDPG algorithm handles continuous actions.The MDRL algorithm learns optimal strategy by trialand-error interactions with the environment.However,unsafe actions,which violate system constraints,can give rise to great cost.To handle such problem,a safe-MDRL algorithm is further proposed.Simulation studies demonstrate that the proposed MDRL algorithm can efficiently handle the challenge from discrete-continuous hybrid action space for home energy management.The proposed MDRL algorithm reduces the operation cost while maintaining the human thermal comfort by comparing with benchmark algorithms on the test dataset.Moreover,the safe-MDRL algorithm greatly reduces the loss of thermal comfort in the learning stage by the proposed MDRL algorithm. | Chao Huang Hongcai Zhang Long Wang Xiong Luo Yonghua Song | 2022 | Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2022,10,3: | 1 |

| 13 | Efficacy of Shouzhangshen(Rhizoma Gymnadeniae Crassinervidis)extract against acute high altitude hypoxia-induced brain injury in mice显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the protective effect of Shouzhangshen(Rhizoma Gymnadeniae Crassinervidis)extract against acute high altitude hypoxia-induced brain injury in mice.METHODS:Sixty C57BL/6J mice were selected and assigned to six groups(n=10):normal control group,low-pressure hypoxia group,positive control group(dexamethasone 500 mg/kg),and three groups treated with Shouzhangshen extract(250,500,and 750 mg/kg,respectively).The Morris water maze test was performed to evaluate alterations in spatial learning and memory deficits.Nissl staining was performed to detect Nissl bodies and neuron damage.Hypoxia-inducible factor(HIF)-1α,interleukin(IL)-1β,tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α,vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),and malondialdehyde(MDA)expression in brain tissue and serum,as well as superoxide dismutase(SOD)and glutathione(GSH)activity in brain tissues were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays,quantitative real-time-polymerase chain reaction and western blots.RESULTS:The Morris water maze test results showed that Shouzhangshen extract can significantly reduce the latency and swimming distance to escape onto a visible platform,increase neuron density and hierarchy and the number of pyramidal neurons,and decrease the expression of HIF-1α,IL-1β,TNF-α,and VEGF mRNAs and proteins in both brain tissue and serum(P<0.05).Furthermore,significantly lower MDA expression and higher GSH activity were detected in the three groups treated with Shouzhangshen compared with the low-pressure hypoxia group(P<0.05).However,no significant alteration was observed for SOD activity(P>0.05).CONCLUSION:Our findings suggest that Shouzhangshen extract may have a significant effect on acute high altitude hypoxia-induced brain injury in mice. | ZHANG Yongcang LIU Tonghua LIU Lan ZONG Yonghua LI Yu XIONG Hai WU Lili | 2021 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2021,41,4: | 1 |
| 14 | Rock magnetic property of gravity core CSH1 from the northern Okinawa Trough and the effect of early diagenesis显示文摘Detailed rock magnetic investigations were undertaken at 2~4 cm interval for the gravity core CSH1(with a length of 17.36 m) from the northern Okinawa Trough.Time-scale of the core was constructed by two characteristic tephras and foraminferal assemblages,indicating an age of 50 ka for the bottom of the core.Except for three tephras and abrupt decrease in surface,there are little changes in all kinds of rock magnetic parameters that can be correlated to the climate change for the last 50 ka.Different from the common sediments,most S-ratios(S equals the negative ratio of IRM-0.3T to SIRM,which is an indicator of low coercivity content)of the sediments are smaller than 0.9,which implies a substantial amount of magnetic minerals with high coercivity.The existence of iron sulphide(greigite or pyrrhotite) is revealed by representative susceptibility-temperature curves showing 200~350 ℃ Curie temperature in addition to 580 ℃ of magnetite,and also by awful smell during heating and dark heating products.Both the occurrence of authigenic iron sulphide and quick decrease of magnetic parameters near the surface clearly show that sediments from Core CSH1 have undergone early diagenesis.The featureless magnetic changes of the whole core except for three tephras mean that the post-depositonal alteration is so strong that most original signals have been destroyed.For the same reason,the organic matter in sediment and sulphate in pore water must have been consumed along with dissolution,precipitation of iron and manganese happening sequencially during the redox reaction series.Great caution must be taken when using these altered chemical parameters for the interpretation of climatic changes. | GE Shulan SHI Xuefa WU Yonghua LEE Tehquei XIONG Yingqian SAITO Yoshiki | 2007 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2007,26,5: | 1 |

| 17 | Efficient generation of zebrafish maternal-zygotic mutants through transplantation of ectopically induced and Cas9/gRNA targeted primordial germ cells显示文摘The clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats(CRISPR)/Cas9 technology has been widely utilized for knocking out genes involved in various biological processes in zebrafish. Despite this technology is efficient for generating different mutations, one of the main drawbacks is low survival rate during embryogenesis when knocking out some embryonic lethal genes. To overcome this problem, we developed a novel strategy using a combination of CRISPR/Cas9 mediated gene knockout with primordial germ cell(PGC) transplantation(PGCT) to facilitate and speed up the process of zebrafish mutant generation, particularly for embryonic lethal genes. Firstly, we optimized the procedure for CRISPR/Cas9 targeted PGCT by increasing the efficiencies of genome mutation in PGCs and induction of PGC fates in donor embryos for PGCT. Secondly, the optimized CRISPR/Cas9 targeted PGCT was utilized for generation of maternal-zygotic(MZ) mutants of tcf7l1a(gene essential for head development), pou5f3(gene essential for zygotic genome activation) and chd(gene essential for dorsal development) at F1 generation with relatively high efficiency. Finally, we revealed some novel phenotypes in MZ mutants of tcf7l1 a and chd, as MZtcf7l1 a showed elevated neural crest development while MZchd had much severer ventralization than its zygotic counterparts. Therefore, this study presents an efficient and powerful method for generating MZ mutants of embryonic lethal genes in zebrafish.
