| 1 | Sequence-stratigraphic frameworks and their palaeogeographic patterns for the Permian Lopingian of the Dianqiangui Basin and its adjacent areas of Southwestern China显示文摘The Permian Lopingian in the Dianqiangui Basin and its adjacent areas is marked by the coal measures of the Wuchiapingian and the carbonate strata of the Changhsingian stages. For the Lopingian of the Dianqiangui Basin and its adjacent areas,the diversity of sedimentary facies and the obviousness of facies change provide an advantaged condition on a study of sequence stratigraphy. Approximately,the Wuchiapingian stage constitutes a third-order sequence and the Changhsingian stage forms an-other. For the Wuchiapingian stage in the study area,coal-measures were developed on the attached platform and,in addition,a special coal-measure that is composed of both limestone beds and coal beds was also developed in the central part of some isolated platforms. Grain-bank grainstones and packstones were formed on the margin of the attached platform as well as in the windward part of iso-lated platforms. For the Changhsingian stage in the study area,open-platform limestones were formed on the attached platform,while sponge-reef limestones were developed both on the margin of the at-tached platform and on the isolated platforms. The Lopingian Series is a set of basin-facies muddy shales with interbeds of silicalites in the inter-platform basin,which appears a set of the large-thick coarse clastic strata of molasses covering direct the deep-water strata from the Devonian to the Per-mian Yangsingian in the Qinzhou-Fangcheng region in the southern part of the study area. All of these features indicate the complexity of temporal-spatial facies-changes. Sequence-stratigraphic frame-works could be established,which would illustrate two types of facies-changing surfaces and dia-chronisms in the stratigraphic records,based on the combination of both biostratigraphic and chronostratigraphic materials and the regularity reflected by temporal evolutionary succession of sediments as well as spatial distributional patterns of sedimentary facies. Ultimately,features of sedi-mentary succession and palaeogeographical evolution of the Permian Lopingian in the study area are revealed clearly in a series of the panel diagrams of sequence-stratigraphic frameworks and the outline maps showing the sedimentary-facies and palaeogeography. The Permian Lopingian formed by two third-order sequences differs from the stratigraphy of the same era characterized by the constant re-gression along Euramerica. Most specially,if the end-Guadalupian mass-extinction event is genetically related to a regressive event represented by the unconformity of the first episode of the Dongwumovement in the study area,the mass-extinction event at the turn from the Permian to the Triassic is genetically related to a rapid transgressive event re-flected by the drowning unconformity in the study area. | 3 | LeCDJ1,a chloroplast DnaJ protein,facilitates heat tolerance in transgenic tomatoes显示文摘The roles of a tomato(Lycopersicon esculentum) chloroplast-targeted DnaJ protein(LeCDJ1) were investigated using wild-type(WT) and sense transgenic tomatoes. The LeCDJ1 expression was upregulated by 38 °C, 42 °C, 45 °C, NaCl, PEG, methyl viologen(MV) and hydrogen peroxide(H2 O2), but not by 30 °C and 35 °C. Meanwhile, LeCDJ1 was involved in the response of plants to abscisic acid(ABA). Under heat stress, the sense plants showed better growth, higher chlorophyll content, lower malondialdehyde(MDA) accumulation and relative electrical conductivity(REC), and also less PSII photoinhibition than WT. Interestingly, the sense plants treated with streptomycin(SM), an inhibitor of organellar translation, still showed higher maximum photochemistry efficiency of PSII(Fv/Fm) and D1 protein levels than the SM-untreated WT, suggesting that the protective effect of LeCDJ1 on PSII was, at least partially, independent of D1protein synthesis. Furthermore, the relatively lower superoxide radical(O2·-) and H2 O2 levels in the sense plants were considered to be due to the higher ascorbate peroxidase(APX) and superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity, which seemed unlikely dependent on their transcription level. | 4 | The first extra-large helium-rich gas field identified in a tight sandstone of the Dongsheng Gas Field,Ordos Basin,China显示文摘Helium gas is a scarce but important strategic resource,which is usually associated with natural gas.Presently,only one extra-large helium-rich gas field has been found in China:the Hetianhe Gas Field in the Tarim Basin.This paper reports a new example,the Dongsheng Gas Field(DGF)in the Ordos Basin.In this study,92 natural gas samples from the DGF were analyzed for helium content and isotope composition using isotope mass spectrometry.The natural gas samples were found to have an average helium content of 0.133%,with 65(70.7%)of the samples having a helium content of 0.1%or more.Based on the proven natural gas reserves of the DGF,the proven geological helium reserves were calculated to be 1.96×10^(8)m^(3),suggesting that it represents the first extra-large helium-rich natural gas reservoir to be hosted in tight sandstone in China.The ^(3)He/^(4)He ratios of 5 natural gas samples from the DGF are within the range of 3.03×10^(−8)–3.44×10^(−8).Therefore,the helium in the gas field is thought to be of typical crustal origin and to have formed in the granitic basement that is rich in uranium and thorium.The accumulation of helium-rich natural gas was controlled by regional tectonic activities.Activity along the fault connecting the reservoir with the basement caused release of the helium gas,which entered the overlying strata along the fault and accumulated with conventional hydrocarbon gas.Based on the structural background and the distribution of helium source rocks in the Ordos Basin,the main helium source rocks with high exploration potential are located in deep strata within the north and middle parts of the basin. | Weilong PENG Quanyou LIU Ying ZHANG Huichong JIA Dongya ZHU Qingqiang MENG Xiaoqi WU Shang DENG Yongsheng MA | 2022 | Science China Earth Sciences2022,65,5: | 2 |
| 5 | Developing hierarchical CdS/NiO hollow heterogeneous architectures for boosting photocatalytic hydrogen generation显示文摘The hierarchical binary CdS/NiO hollow heterogeneous architectures(HHAs)with p–n heterojunction are constructed by a facile microwave-assisted wet chemical process for high-efficient photocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)from water.The as-designed CdS/NiO HHAs are composed of hexagonal n-type CdS nanoparticles with a size in the range of 20–40 nm attaching to cubic p-type NiO hollow microspheres(HMSs)which are aggregates of porous nanoplates with a thickness of about 20 nm.The photocatalytic water splitting over CdS/NiO HHAs is significantly increased under simulated solar irradiation,among which the most active sample of CdS/NiO-3(the mass ratio of CdS to NiO is 1:3)exhibits the fastest photocatalytic HER rate of 1.77 mmol∙g^(−1)∙h^(−1),being 16.2 times than that of pure CdS.The boosted photocatalytic HER could be attributed to the synergistic effect on the proportional p–n heterojunction with special hierarchical hollow and porous morphology,an enhancement of visible light absorption,and an improvement of photoinduced charge separation as well as the photo-stability given by the composite heterojunction.This work shows a viable strategy to design the heterojunction with special morphology for the efficient hydrogen generation by water splitting utilizing solar energy. | Chonghai Deng Fan Ye Tao Wang Xiaohui Ling Lulu Peng Hong Yu Kangzhe Ding Hanmei Hu Qiang Dong Huirong Le Yongsheng Han | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,3: | 2 |
| 6 | Laparoscopic approach for intermittent hydronephrosis caused by primary ureteral fibroepithelial polyps in children显示文摘Objective To summarize the diagnosis and treatment experience of children with intermittent hydronephrosis caused by ureteral fibroepithelial polyp(UFP).Methods From 2017 to 2020,cases of hydronephrosis caused by ureteral polyp in Anhui Provincial Children’s Hospital were retrospectively enrolled for investigation.Demographic data,clinical manifestations,operation details,pathology and outcomes were collected from patients’medical data for analysis.Results All seven cases of UFP were boys,including six cases on the left side of the ureter and one case on the right side,at the median age of 7.1 years(3-14 years),with abdominal intermittent pain as the first symptom.All cases underwent laparoscopic pyeloureteroplasty.All the operations were completed successfully;postoperative pathology indicated the presence of primary UFP.Postoperative follow-ups of 1-30 months showed satisfactory recovery and relief from hydronephrosis.Conclusions Laparoscopic pyeloureteroplasty or ureteroureterostomy is one of the optimal treatments for ureteral polyp at present.The surgical method should be determined according to the number of polyps,the length and the diameter of the affected ureter,and also the status of renal function of the patients. | Han Chu Yongsheng Cao Qifei Deng | 2021 | World Journal of Pediatric Surgery2021,4,1: | 1 |

| 9 | Practice and theoretical and technical progress in exploration and development of Shunbei ultra-deep carbonate oil and gas field,Tarim Basin,NW China显示文摘In this review on the exploration and development process of the Shunbei ultra-deep carbonate oil and gas field in the Tarim Basin, the progress of exploration and development technologies during the National 13th Five-Year Plan of China has been summarized systematically, giving important guidance for the exploration and development of ultra-deep marine carbonate reservoirs in China and abroad. Through analyzing the primary geological factors of “hydrocarbon generation-reservoir formation-hydrocarbon accumulation” of ancient and superposed basin comprehensively and dynamically, we point out that because the Lower Cambrian Yuertusi Formation high-quality source rocks have been located in a low-temperature environment for a long time, they were capable of generating hydrocarbon continuously in late stage, providing ideal geological conditions for massive liquid hydrocarbon accumulation in ultra-deep layers. In addition, strike-slip faults developed in tectonically stable areas have strong control on reservoir formation and hydrocarbon accumulation in this region. With these understandings, the exploration focus shifted from the two paleo-uplifts located in the north and the south to the Shuntuoguole lower uplift located in between and achieved major hydrocarbon discoveries. Through continuing improvement of seismic exploration technologies for ultra-deep carbonates in desert, integrated technologies including seismic acquisition in ultra-deep carbonates,seismic imaging of strike-slip faults and the associated cavity-fracture systems, detailed structural interpretation of strike-slip faults, characterization and quantitative description of fault-controlled cavities and fractures, description of fault-controlled traps and target optimization have been established. | 13 | Sedimentary Facies Architectures of Third-Order Sequences from Early to Middle Triassic in Nanpanjiang Basin显示文摘There are complex and regular changes on sedimentary facies from the Early to the Middle Triassic in the Nanpanjiang basin. After the obvious drowned event of carbonate platforms in the transitional period between Permian and Triassic, carbonate platforms have evolved into the ramp type from the rimmed shelf type. The differentiation of sedimentary facies becomes clearer in space, which are marked by the changes from an attached platform to a turbidity basin and several isolated platforms in the basin. The striking characteristics are the development of oolitic banks on isolated platforms in Nanning and Jingxi and the reef and bank limestones in the margin of the attached platform in the Early Triassic. Despite the difference of the time span and the architecture of facies succession of third order sedimentary sequences, the process of the third order relative sea level changes reflected by the sedimentary facies succession of the third order sequences is generally synchronous. Therefore, six third order sequences could be discerned in the strata from the Early to the Middle Triassic in the Nanpanjiang basin. | 19 | AFLP Analysis and Trait Evaluation of Bt Transgenic Sugarcane Lines显示文摘[Objective]A large number of high-quality Bt transgenic sugarcane lines were obtained using transgenic technologies. This study aimed to explore the genetic background,genetic diversity,important traits and relationship between the heredity and phenotype of these transgenic sugarcane lines,thereby providing basis for further effective utilization and preservation of insect-resistant germplasm resources and improving breeding efficiency of insect-resistant sugarcane in China.[Method] By using six AFLP primers with high polymorphism,the genetic diversity of 13 Bt transgenic sugarcane lines and their donor varieties was analyzed. Growth assay and insect-resistance identification were carried out in a quarantine greenhouse with conventional methods. Evaluation of important economic traits was conducted in the field with conventional methods.[Result] The polymorphism rate was relatively low. Specifically,the polymorphism rate of the first group was 21. 00%,the polymorphism rate of the second group was 31. 80%,and the total polymorphism rate was 42. 50%. Cluster analysis showed that 13 Bt transgenic sugarcane lines and their donor varieties were divided into two categories,the genetic similarity coefficient between two categories was 0. 54. All the six materials in the first group were clustered into categoryⅠ,with genetic similarity of 0. 921; nine materials in the second group were clustered into category II,with genetic similarity of 0. 898. Bt transgenic sugarcane lines showed abundant phenotypic types and significant trait variations,and the economic traits were generally worse than donor varieties. The insect resistance of 13 Bt transgenic sugarcane lines was divided into five grades.[Conclusion] The first-generation Bt transgenic sugarcane lines have low genetic diversity,abundant trait variations,high insect resistance and generally poor economic traits,which can only be used as germplasm resources for hybridization. Introducing Bt gene into multiple donors will to some extent improve the genetic diversity of sugarcane germplasm resources,but the increasing rate is relatively low. | 20 | Sequence-Stratigraphic Framework from the Carboniferous to the Permian Chuanshanian Epoch in Dianqiangui Basin and Its Adjacent Areas, Southwest China显示文摘The Carboniferous can be divided into four series in the Dianqiangui basin and its adjacent areas, Southwest China: the Yanguanian series, the Datangian series, the Weiningian series and the Mapingian series. The Maping Formation, traditionally used as the lithostratigraphic unit of the Upper Carboniferous, became an inter-system unit from the Carboniferous to the Permian. Thus, the top part of the Carboniferous and the bottom part of the Permian (Chuanshanian series) constitute a third-order sequence in the Dianqiangui basin and its adjacent areas. In the study area, the Carboniferous system and the Chuanshanian series of the Permian constitute a second-order sequence that can be subdivided into 6 third-order sequences. The bottom boundary of this second-order sequence is an unconformity formed in the principal episode of the Ziyun movement (the second episode), and the top boundary is also an unconformity formed in the principal episode of the Qiangui movement (the second episode). In different paleogeographical backgrounds, the strata from the Carboniferous to the Permian Chuanshanian epoch are marked by different sedimentary features. For example, coal measures and more dolomitic strata are developed in the attached platform; carbonate rocks mainly constitute the isolated platform strata; the inter-platform ditch strata are mainly composed of dark and fine sediments. Therefore, third-order sequences with different architectures of sedimentary-facies succession are formed in different paleogeographical backgrounds. Although the third-order sequences are different in the architecture of sedimentary-succession in space, the processes of their depositional environmental changes due to the third-order relative sea-level changes are simultaneous. Biostratigraphically, the surfaces of the third- ordersequences can be correlated and traced in space; the framework of sequence stratigraphy from the Carboniferous to the Chuanshanian epoch of the Permian can be established in the Dianqiangui basin and its adjacent areas in terms of two types of facies-changing surfaces as well as two kinds of diachronism in stratigraphic records. The sequence-stratigraphic subdivisions from the Carboniferous to the Permian Chuanshanian epoch in the study area show that the duration of third-order sequences, formed in the convergent period of Pangea, is more than 10 Ma. This could reflect the elementary feature that the period of sea-level change cycles formed in a relatively quiet period of tectonic action is more than 10 Ma.
