| 5 | Timing and Single-pulse Study of Pulsar J1909+0122 Discovered by CRAFTS显示文摘We report the discovery of PSR J1909+0122 by the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Radio Telescope(FAST)as part of the Commensal Radio Astronomy FAST Survey.PSR J1909+0122 has a spin period of 1.257 s and a dispersion measure of 186.2 pc cm^(-3).The averaged pulse profile shows two distinct components.We performed a single-pulse study based on a one-hour observation at 1.25 GHz on 2021 August 23.We used a threshold of 5σ_(ep) to measure the nulling fraction(NF)as 63%±1.5%.The longitude-resolved fluctuation spectra and fast Fourier transform spectra of the binary sequences revealed the quasi-periodicity of nulling with a period of 30 rotation periods.We examined the reliability of the periodicity by comparing it to random noise injection.The NF,E,and modulation periodicity P_(M) of PSR J1909+0122 were compared with other periodic nulling pulsars,showing that the source of J1909+0122 has the second largest NF in the population.Long-term timing observations over six months were used to derive the phase-connected ephemeris of this pulsar.The measured P and P values disfavor dipolar geometry for polar gap models,and the prediction for a space-charge-limited flow model in the case of inverse Compton scattering is only just above the death line.In this work,PSR J1909+0122 has revealed possible correlations between nulling behavior and pulsar properties,which will help to shed light on the pulsar emission mechanism and its temporal evolution in future observations. | Yutong Chen Pei Wang Di Li Erbil Gügercinoğlu Rushuang Zhao Lingqi Meng Jianping Yuan Jiarui Niu Weiwei Zhu Yi Feng Chenchen Miao Chenhui Niu Qingdong Wu Na Wang Shen Wang Xiaoyao Xie Mengyao Xue Jumei Yao Mao Yuan Shanping You Xuhong Yu Youling Yue Jie Zhang Junshuo Zhang Lei Zhang Yabiao Wang Zhenye Gan Yuxi Li Zhongyi Sun Chengjie Wang | 2023 | Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics2023,23,8: | 0 |
| 6 | Niclosamide(NA)overcomes cisplatin resistance in human ovarian cancer显示文摘Ovarian cancer(OC)is one of the most lethal malignancies of the female reproduc-tive system.OC patients are usually diagnosed at advanced stages due to the lack of early diag-nosis.The standard treatment for OC includes a combination of debulking surgery and platinum-taxane chemotherapy,while several targeted therapies have recently been approved for maintenance treatment.The vast majority of OC patients relapse with chemoresistant tu-mors after an initial response.Thus,there is an unmet clinical need to develop new therapeu-tic agents to overcome the chemoresistance of OC.The anti-parasite agent niclosamide(NA)has been repurposed as an anti-cancer agent and exerts potent anti-cancer activities in human cancers including OC.Here,we investigated whether NA could be repurposed as a therapeutic agent to overcome cisplatin-resistant(CR)in human OC cells.To this end,we first established two CR lines SKOV3CR and OVCAR8CR that exhibit the essential biological characteristics of cisplatin resistance in human cancer.We showed that NA inhibited cell proliferation,sup-pressed cell migration,and induced cell apoptosis in both CR lines at a low micromole range.Mechanistically,NA inhibited multiple cancer-related pathways including AP1,ELK/SRF,HIF1,and TCF/LEF,in SKOV3CR and OVCAR8CR cells.NA was further shown to effectively inhibit xenograft tumor growth of SKOV3CR cells.Collectively,our findings strongly suggest that NA may be repurposed as an efficacious agent to combat cisplatin resistance in chemoresistant hu-man OC,and further clinical trials are highly warranted. | Linjuan Huang Jing Zhang Youling Deng Hao Wang Piao Zhao Guozhi Zhao Wei Zeng Yonghui Wang Connie Chen William Wagstaff Rex C.Haydon Russell R.Reid Tong-Chuan He Le Shen Hue H.Luu Ling Zhao | 2023 | Genes & Diseases2023,10,4: | 0 |

In this paper, the Helmholtz integral equation, which is the theoretical formula for sound radiation from a body in the free field, is discretized with the boundary element method and the exterior sound radiation field is calculated for a given specified surface velocity of elastic vibration of an arbitrarily shaped body.
