1Development and utilization of a new chemically-induced soybean library with a high mutation density显示文摘Mutagenized populations have provided important materials for introducing variation and identifying gene function in plants. In this study, an ethyl methanesulfonate(EMS)-induced soybean(Glycine max) population,consisting of 21,600 independent M_2 lines, was developed.Over 1,000 M_(4(5))families, with diverse abnormal phenotypes for seed composition, seed shape, plant morphology and maturity that are stably expressed across different environments and generations were identified. Phenotypic analysis of the population led to the identification of a yellow pigmentation mutant, gyl, that displayed significantly decreased chlorophyll(Chl) content and abnormal chloroplast development. Sequence analysis showed that gyl is allelic to Minn Gold, where a different single nucleotide polymorphism variation in the Mg-chelatase subunit gene(ChlI1a) results in golden yellow leaves. A cleaved amplified polymorphic sequence marker was developed and may be applied to marker-assisted selection for the golden yellow phenotype in soybean breeding. 2Toward high-sulfur-content,high-performance lithium-sulfur batteries:Review of materials and technologies显示文摘Lithium sulfur batteries(LSBs)are recognized as promising devices for developing next-generation energy storage systems.In addition,they are attractive rechargeable battery systems for replacing lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)for commercial use owing to their higher theoretical energy density and lower cost compared to those of LIBs.However,LSBs are still beset with some persistent issues that prevent them from being used industrially,such as the unavoidable dissolution of lithium polysulfide intermediates during electrochemical reactions and large volume expansion(up to 80%)upon the formation of Li_(2)S,resulting in serious battery life and safety limitations.In the process of solving these problems,it is necessary to maintain a high sulfur content in the cathode materials to ensure that the LSBs have high energy densities and excellent cycle performance.In this review,the novel preparation methods and cathode materials used for preparing LSBs in recent years are reviewed considering the sulfur content and cycle performance.In addition,the problems and difficulties in practically applying cathode materials are described,and the development trend is discussed.Fulai Zhao Jinhong Xue Wei Shao Hui Yu Wei Huang Jian Xiao 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,5:3
3Effect of volatile oil from Blumea Balsamifera(L.) DC. leaves on wound healing in mice显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To assess the effectiveness of violateoil from Blumea Balsamifera(L.) DC. leaves(BB oil)on wound healing in mice.METHODS: Undiluted BB oil and its diluted solutions with olive oil to 1/5 and 1/10 to yield BB oil1/5and BB oil1/10 were applied to the wounded skin before wound healing conditions were assessed by healing rate, histopathology, and contents of collagen, hydroxyproline, and Neuropeptide Substance P(SP). All above results were compared with the efficacies of the control, pure olive oil, basic fibroblast growth factor(BFGF), and cream of Jing Wan Hong(JWH).RESULTS: BB oil1/5and BB oil1/10 improved wound contraction and closure. Histopathology study further confirmed a desirable histological organization of wound tissues. BB oil1/5and BB oil1/10 reduced the number of inflammatory cells, increased wound-healing rates, and significantly increased the hydroxyproline content. Both BB oil1/5and BB oil1/10 improved formation of collagen, and reduced the frequency of fibroblasts. Moreover, BB oil1/5and BB oil1/10 markedly promoted SP expression. However, undiluted BB oil may induce skin thickening and hardening, inhibite collagen synthesis and delay complete skin wound healing.CONCLUSION: The BB oil1/5and BB oil1/10 promoted capillary regeneration, blood circulation, collagen deposition, granular tissue formation, epithelial deposition, and wound contraction. 4Analysis of Volatile Components in Fresh Fruit of Morinda citrifolia L.from Different Origins Based on HS-SPME-GC/MS显示文摘[Objectives]This study was conducted to clarify the differences of volatile components in fresh fruit of Morinda citrifolia L.from different origins.[Methods]The method of HS-SPME-GC/MS detection was used to determine the volatile chemical components in fresh fruit of M.citrifolia.[Results]52,52 and 45 volatile components were identified from the fresh fruit of M.citrifolia from Xisha,Wanning and Haikou,respectively.Among them,the number and content of the identified esters were relatively high,mainly methyl caprylate,ethyl caprylate,4-pentenyl caproate,3-methylbuten-2-enyl caprylate,methyl caproate,and ethyl caproate.There were also fatty acids,alcohols,phenols,ketones,aldehydes and other substances.There were 33 common ingredients in the fruit from the three origins,mainly including caprylic acid,caproic acid,capric acid,methyl caprylate,ethyl caprylate,4-pentenyl caproate,3-methylbutene-2-enyl caprylate,methyl caproate,ethyl caproate,methyl caprate and hexyl caproate.[Conclusions]The types and contents of volatile components in fresh fruit of M.citrifolia from different origins were significantly different.Dan WANG Qian JIANG Qinglong WANG Chao YUAN Maoyuan WANG Zuowang FAN Xiaolu CHEN Fulai YU 2022Agricultural Biotechnology2022,11,4:1

6Ultrathin layered double hydroxide nanosheets prepared by original precursor method for photoelectrochemical photodetectors显示文摘Layered double hydroxides(LDHs)are widely used owing to their unique alternating anionic and cationic layered twodimensional(2D)structures.However,studies on the preparation of 2D LDH nanosheets with uniform thickness and their photodetectors are limited.In this study,two novel ultrathin LDH(Ca-In and Ca-Al LDH)nanosheets are peeled off from precursor bimetallic phosphides through the original precursor method.Both Ca-In and Ca-Al LDH nanosheets demonstrate a uniform thickness distribution with an average thickness of 3–4 nm,micron-level lateral sizes,and moderate bandgap.Owing to its broad light absorption range,hydrophilicity,and stability,Ca-In and Ca-Al LDH nanosheets are applied for the first time in photoelectrochemical photodetectors,realizing a wide range of light detection from ultraviolet(365 nm)to visible light(635 nm).Moreover,the fabricated photodetectors exhibit excellent cycle stability,and the average photocurrent density shows no reduction after 70 days.Therefore,this study provides an effective method to prepare 2D Ca-In and Ca-Al LDH nanosheets with uniform thickness and photoelectric application prospects.Yu Wang Fulai Zhao Yiyu Feng Wei Feng 2022Nano Research2022,15,10:1

8Blockchain-envisioned unmanned aerial vehicle communications in space-air-ground integrated network: A review显示文摘Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)communications have recently entered a new period of interest,motivated by technological advances and the gradual emergence of the Space-Air-Ground Integrated Network(SAGIN).The current survey aims to capture the use of UAVs in the SAGIN while highlighting the most promising open research topics.The traditional UAV network architecture is not adequate to meet the challenges presented by the SAGIN,and an effective and secure space-air-ground integrated UAV network needs to be constructed.Given its well-distributed management and consensus mechanism,blockchain technology can make up for the deficiency of the traditional UAV network.In this work,we review the role of UAVs in the SAGIN.Then,three applications of the blockchain-envisioned UAV network are introduced through several classifications.Future challenges and the corresponding open research topics are also described.Zhonghao Wang Fulai Zhang Qiqi Yu Tuanfa Qin 2021Intelligent and Converged Networks2021,2,4:0
9Three-Dimensional N-Doped Carbon Nanotube/Graphene Composite Aerogel Anode to Develop High-Power Microbial Fuel Cell显示文摘Optimizing the structure of electrode materials is one of the most effective strategies for designing high-power microbial fuel cells(MFCs).However,electrode materials currently suffer from a series of shortcomings that limit the output of MFCs,such as high intrinsic resistance,poor electrolyte wettability,and low microbial load capacity.Here,a three-dimensional(3D)nitrogen-doped multiwalled carbon nanotube/graphene(N-MWCNT/GA)composite aerogel is synthesized as the anode for MFCs.Comparing nitrogen-doped GA,MWCNT/GA,and N-MWCNT/GA,the macroporous hydrophilic N-MWCNT/GA electrode with an average pore size of 4.24μm enables high-density loading of the microbes and facilitates extracellular electron transfer with low intrinsic resistance.Consequently,the hydrophilic surface of N-MWCNT can generate high charge mobility,enabling a high-power output performance of the MFC.In consequence,the MFC system based on N-MWCNT/GA anode exhibits a peak power density and output voltage of 2977.8 mW m^(−2)and 0.654 V,which are 1.83 times and 16.3%higher than those obtained with MWCNT/GA,respectively.These results demonstrate that 3D N-MWCNT/GA anodes can be developed for high-power MFCs in different environments by optimizing their chemical and microstructures.Shixuan Jin Yiyu Feng Jichao Jia Fulai Zhao Zijie Wu Peng Long Feng Li Huitao Yu Chi Yang Qijing Liu Baocai Zhang Hao Song Wei Feng 2023Energy & Environmental Materials2023,6,3:0
10The Effect of Magnesium on Accumulations of Primary Metabolites and Yield of Blumea balsamifera显示文摘[Objectives]This study was conducted to investigate the effects of magnesium on the yield of Blumea balsamifera(L.)DC.and the accumulation of primary metabolites that affect yield of the medicinal material.[Methods]The annual seedlings of B.balsamifera were selected as experimental materials.The treatment concentrations of magnesium(Mg)were set as 0,1.5,15 and 150 mg/ml supplied by MgSO4·7H2O.The yield of the medicinal material was measured dynamically.And the content of total sugar was determined by 3,5-dinitrosalicylic acid colorimetry;the content of crude protein was determined by the Kjeldahl method;the ash content was determined by the high-temperature burning method;the crude fat content was determined with a crude fat instrument;and the crude fiber content was determined by the acid-base washing and weighing method.[Results]Mg significantly increased the yield of B.balsamifera medicinal material,especially 15 mg/ml Mg.It was found that in September,October and November,1.5 mg/ml and 15 mg/ml Mg significantly increased the contents of primary metabolites including total sugar,ash,crude protein,crude fat and crude fiber,and 150 mg/ml of Mg increased the accumulation of total sugar,ash,crude protein and crude fiber to different degrees,but had certain inhibitory effect on the accumulation of crude fat.In December,the application of Mg inhibited the accumulation of total sugar,ash and crude protein to different degrees,but significantly promoted the accumulation of crude fat and fiber.[Conclusions]This study provides a theoretical basis for clarifying the effects of different concentrations of magnesium on plant growth.Dan WANG Huiping LAN Yingbo ZHANG Xuan HU Xiaolu CHEN Yuxin PANG Fulai YU 2020Agricultural Biotechnology2020,9,4:0
11Electroencephalography microstates as novel functional biomarkers for insomnia disorder显示文摘Background Insomnia disorder(ID)is one of the most common mental disorders.Research on ID focuses on exploring its mechanism of disease,novel treatments and treatment outcome prediction.An emerging technique in this field is the use of electroencephalography(EEG)microstates,which offer a new method of EEG feature extraction that incorporates information from both temporal and 6/spatial dimensions.Aims To explore the electrophysiological mechanisms of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation(rTMS)for ID treatment and use baseline microstate metrics for the prediction of its efficacy.Methods This study included 60 patients with ID and 40 age-matched and gender-matched good sleep controls(GSC).Their resting-state EEG microstates were analysed,and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)and polysomnography(PSG)were collected to assess sleep quality.The 60 patients with ID were equally divided into active and sham groups to receive rTMS for 20 days to test whether rTMS had a moderating effect on abnormal microstates in patients with ID.Furthermore,in an independent group of 90 patients with ID who received rTMS treatment,patients were divided into optimal and suboptimal groups based on their median PSQI reduction rate.Baseline EEG microstates were used to build a machine-learning predictive model for the effects of rTMS treatment.Results The class D microstate was less frequent and contribute in patients with ID,and these abnormalities were associated with sleep onset latency as measured by PSG.Additinally,the abnormalities were partially reversed to the levels observed in the GSC group following rTMS treatment.The baseline microstate characteristics could predict the therapeutic effect of ID after 20 days of rTMS,with an accuracy of 80.13%.Conclusions Our study highlights the value of EEG microstates as functional biomarkers of ID and provides a new perspective for studying the neurophysiological mechanisms of ID.In addition,we predicted the therapeutic effect of rTMS on ID based on the baseline microstates of patients with ID.This finding carries great practical significance for the selection of therapeutic options for patients with ID.Yongjian Guo Xumeng Zhao Xiaoyang Liu Jiayi Liu Yan Li Lirong Yue Fulai Yuan Yifei Zhu Xiaona Sheng Dahua Yu Kai Yuan 2023General Psychiatry2023,36,6:0
