Economic power dispatch in smart grids: a framework for distributed optimization and consensus dynamics显示文摘By using the distributed consensus theory in multi-agent systems, the strategy of economic power dispatch is studied in a smart grid, where many generation units work cooperatively to achieve an optimal solution in a local area. The relationship between the distributed optimization solution and consensus in multi-agent systems is first revealed in this paper, which can serve as a general framework for future studies of this topic. First, without the constraints of capacity limitations, it is found that the total cost for all the generators in a smart grid can achieve the minimal value if the consensus can be reached for the incremental cost of all the generation units and the balance between the supply and demand of powers is kept. Then, by designing a distributed consensus control protocol in multi-agent systems with appropriate initial conditions, incremental cost consensus can be realized and the balance for the powers can also be satisfied. Furthermore, the difficult problem for distributed optimization of the total cost function with bounded capacity limitations is also discussed. A reformulated barrier function is proposed to simplify the analysis, under which the total cost can reach the minimal value if consensus can be achieved for the modified incremental cost with some appropriate initial values. Thus, the distributed optimization problems for the cost function of all generation units with and without bounded capacity limitations can both be solved by using the idea of consensus in multi-agent systems, whose theoretical analysis is still lacking nowadays. Finally, some simulation examples are given to verify the effectiveness of the results in this paper. | Wenwu YU Chaojie LI Xinghuo YU Guanghui WEN Jinhu LU | 2018 | Science China(Information Sciences)2018,61,1: | 13
Phytophthora sojae Effector PsAvh240 Inhibits Host Aspartic Protease Secretion to Promote Infection显示文摘Plants secrete defense molecules into the extracellular space (the apoplast) to combat attacking microbes. However, the mechanisms by which successful pathogens subvert plant apoplastic immunity remain poorly understood. In this study, we show that PsAvh240, a membrane-localized effector of the soybean pathogen Phytophthora sojae, promotes P. sojae infection in soybean hairy roots. We found that PsAvh240 interacts with the soybean-resistant aspartic protease GmAP1 in planta and suppresses the secretion of GmAP1 into the apoplast. By solving its crystal structure we revealed that PsAvh240 contain six a helices and two WY motifs. The first two a helices of PsAvh240 are responsible for its plasma membrane-localization and are required for PsAvh240's interaction with GmAP1. The second WY motifs of two PsAvh240 molecules form a handshake arrangement resulting in a handshake-like dimer. This dimerization is required for the effector's repression of GmAP1 secretion. Taken together, these data reveal that PsAvh240 localizes at the plasma membrane to interfere with GmAP1 secretion, which represents an effective mechanism by which effector proteins suppress plant apoplastic immunity. | Baodian Guo Haonan Wang Bo Yang Wenjing Jiang Maofeng Jing Haiyang Li Yeqiang Xia Yuanpeng Xu Qinli Hu Fangfang Wang Feng Yu Yan Wang Wenwu Ye Suomeng Dong Weiman Xing Yuanchao Wang | 2019 | Molecular Plant2019,12,4: | 12
Complex Cyber-Physical Networks: From Cybersecurity to Security Control显示文摘Complex cyber-physical network refers to a new generation of complex networks whose normal functioning significantly relies on tight interactions between its physical and cyber components. Many modern critical infrastructures can be appropriately modelled as complex cyber-physical networks. Typical examples of such infrastructures are electrical power grids, WWW, public transportation systems, state financial networks, and the Internet. These critical facilities play important roles in ensuring the stability of society as well as the development of economy. Advances in information and communication technology open opportunities for malicious attackers to launch coordinated attacks on cyber-physical critical facilities in networked infrastructures from any Internet-accessible place. Cybersecurity of complex cyber-physical networks has emerged as a hot topic within this context. In practice, it is also very crucial to understand the interplay between the evolution of underlying network structures and the collective dynamics on these complex networks and consequently to design efficient security control strategies to protect the evolution of these networks. In this paper, cybersecurity of complex cyber-physical networks is first outlined and then some security enhancing techniques, with particular emphasis on safety communications, attack detection and fault-tolerant control, are suggested. Furthermore, a new class of efficient secure control strategies are proposed for guaranteeing the achievement of desirable pinning synchronization behaviors in complex cyber-physical networks against malicious attacks on nodes. The authors hope that this paper motivates to design enhanced security strategies for complex cyber-physical network systems, to realize resilient and secure critical infrastructures. | WEN Guanghui YU Wenwu YU Xinghuo Lü Jinhu | 2017 | Journal of Systems Science & Complexity2017,30,1: | 11
Short-term power load forecasting using integrated methods based on long short-term memory显示文摘The development of power system informatization, the massive access of distributed power supply and electric vehicles have increased the complexity of power consumption in the distribution network, which puts forward higher requirements for the accuracy and stability of load forecasting. In this paper,an integrated network architecture which consists of the self-organized mapping, chaotic time series, intelligent optimization algorithm and long short-term memory(LSTM)is proposed to extend the load forecasting length, decrease artificial debugging, and improve the prediction precision for the short-term power load forecasting.Compared with LSTM prediction, the algorithm in this paper improves the prediction accuracy by 61.87%in terms of root mean square error(RMSE),and reduces the prediction error by 50%in the 40-fold forecast window under some circumstances. | ZHANG WenJie QIN Jian MEI Feng FU JunJie DAI Bo YU WenWu | 2020 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,4: | 7

Finite-time and fixed-time consensus problems for second-order multi-agent systems with reduced state information显示文摘This paper studies the fixed-time consensus(Fix TC) and connectivity-preserving finite-time consensus(Fin TC) protocol designs for second-order multi-agent systems using output information only.Herein, a distributed Fix TC protocol based on the Lyapunov stability and bi-limit homogeneity approaches is proposed with the aid of an auxiliary system. Then, when the graph is state-dependent, i.e., the agents have limited sensing and communication ranges, a connectivity-preserving Fin TC is proposed by designing a mechanism suitable for this purpose. Theoretical analysis and several simulations are presented to verify the effectiveness of the proposed protocols. | Huifen HONG He WANG Zhenling WANG Wenwu YU | 2019 | Science China(Information Sciences)2019,62,11: | 6
A new distinct geminivirus causes soybean stay-green disease显示文摘Dear Editor,Plant viruses make up almost half of the plant disease-causing pathogens, affecting crop yields and the global economy(Savary et al.,2019).Soybean(Glycine max)is one of the most valuable legume crops in the world, supplying 25%of the global edible oil and two-thirds of the global concentrated protein for livestock feeding.Recently, the outbreak of soybean stay-green syndrome with delayed leaf senescence(stay-green),flat pods, and increased number of abnormal seeds has swept the soybean production in the Huang-Huai-Hai region of China, resulting in huge yield losses(Xu et al.,2019).This disease has become an epidemic and prominent problem in soybean production and is still expanding its geography, including North America, posing a serious threat to soybean production(Harbach et al.,2016;Zhang et al.,2016;Li et al.,2019).However,the cause of soybean stay-green syndrome remains obscure. | Ruixiang Cheng Ruoxin Mei Rong Yan Hongyu Chen Dan Miao Lina Cai Jiayi Fan Gairu Li Ran Xu Weiguo Lu Yu Gao Wenwu Ye Shuo Su Tianfu Han Junyi Gai Yuanchao Wang Xiaorong Tao Yi Xu | 2022 | Molecular Plant2022,15,6: | 6
Distributed cooperative anti-disturbance control of multi-agent systems: an overview显示文摘This paper reviews some main results and recent progress in distributed cooperative anti-disturbance control(DCADC) of multi-agent systems. Compared with anti-disturbance control in single systems, DCADC is more challenging because of the existence of coupling in multi-agent systems and the aim is to design distributed cooperative control based on the local information of each agent. This paper is concerned with some kinds of DCADC methods, such as distributed cooperative variable structure control, distributed cooperative sliding mode control, distributed cooperative disturbance-observer-based control, and distributed cooperative output regulation control approaches. Some future research topics regarding DCADC methods are also pointed out. | Wenwu YU He WANG Huifen HONG Guanghui WEN | 2017 | Science China(Information Sciences)2017,60,11: | 5

Epidemic Characteristics,High-Risk Areas and Space-Time Clusters of Human Brucellosis—China,2020-2021显示文摘Introduction:Analyze the recent epidemiological and temporal-spatial characteristics of human brucellosis in China and provide information for adjusting strategies for brucellosis control. Methods:Human brucellosis data were obtained from the National Notifiable Disease Reporting System(NNDRS).A geographical information system(GIS)was used to visualize high-risk areas with annual incidence based on county(district)polygons. The space-time scan statistic(STSS)was applied to detect the space-time clusters of human brucellosis. Results:A total of 69,767 cases were reported from 2,083 counties in the mainland of China in 2021,a 47.7%increase from 2020(47,425).About 95.5%of the total cases were centralized in northern China and 31.8%in Inner Mongolia(IM).The number of counties with an incidence exceeding 100 per 100,000 was 34 in 2020 and 65 in 2021.From 2020 to 2021,24 space-time clusters were detected. The two primary clusters were located northeast of IM,including 109 counties. The secondary clusters affected 208 counties in 2020 and spread to 297 counties in 2021,the majority of which were located in the middle of IM,exhibiting a trend spreading west from IM to neighboring provincial-level administrative divisions(PLADs).Conclusions:From 2020 to 2021,the incidence of human brucellosis nationwide was exponential, demonstrating distinct spatiotemporal characteristics.Space-time clusters were located in IM and neighboring areas. Therefore, considerable efforts are required to curb this momentum. | Huimin Yang Quilan Chen Yu Li Di Mu Yanping Zhang Wenwu Yin | 2023 | China CDC weekly2023,5,1: | 3
Challenges and needs for China to eliminate rabies显示文摘In China, rabies is a significant public health concern where dogs remain the main reservoir of disease transmission to humans;rabies-related mortality ranks second in the world. We compiled all published articles and official documents on rabies in China's Mainland to examine challenges and needs to eliminate rabies in the country. The Chinese authorities have identified rabies as a priority, recognized rabies control in dogs as key to control rabies in humans and required intersectoral collaborations.Efforts have been made to respond effectively to the latest re-emergence of rabies, which peaked in 2007 with>3,300 cases.Despite these outcomes and the increasing volume of publications and regulations in the recent years, our review points to some major information gaps to improve rabies control activities and envisage elimination program. An emphasis on laboratory or pathogen-associated and basic epidemiology research in the literature has contrasted with the absence of information to monitor various systems in humans and animals(e.g.quality of surveillance, response and post-exposure prophylaxis).Information is also lacking to appropriately inform policymakers(e.g.economic disease burden, impact of policies)and assist program managers(e.g.comprehensive and strategic guidance for cost-effective prevention and control activities, public education and dog population management). In conclusion, strategic planning is needed to provide a sense of direction, demonstrate feasibility of elimination in China, and develop a research agenda, addressing country’s operational needs and constraints. The planning should be a multisectoral effort. | Wenwu Yin Jie Dong Changchun Tu John Edwards Fusheng Guo Hang Zhou Hongjie Yu Sirenda Vong | 2013 | Infectious Diseases of Poverty2013,2,1: | 3
GROUP CONSENSUS FOR MULTIPLE NETWORKED EULER-LAGRANGE SYSTEMS WITH PARAMETRIC UNCERTAINTIES显示文摘In this paper,a group consensus problem is investigated for multiple networked agents with parametric uncertainties where all the agents are governed by the Euler-Lagrange system with uncertain parameters. In the group consensus problem, the agents asymptotically reach several different states rather than one consistent state.A novel group consensus protocol and a time-varying estimator of the uncertain parameters are proposed for each agent in order to solve the couple-group consensus problem. It is shown that the group consensus is reachable even when the system contains the uncertain parameters.Furthermore, the multi-group consensus is discussed as an extension of the couple-group consensus, and then the group consensus with switching topology is considered.Simulation results are finally provided to validate the effectiveness of the theoretical analysis. | HU Hongxiang ZHANG Zhe YU Li YU Wenwu XIE Guangming | 2014 | Journal of Systems Science & Complexity2014,27,4: | 3

Distributed fixed step-size algorithm for dynamic economic dispatch with power flow limits显示文摘In this study,a discrete-time distributed algorithm is proposed for solving the dynamic economic dispatch problem with active power flow limits and transmission line loss.To avoid the communication burden and implement the algorithm in a favorably distributed manner, the splitting method is used to bypass the centralized updating of the algorithm’s parameters, which is unavoidable when implementing conventional Lagrangian methods. The use of a fixed step-size and distributed update enhances the applicability of the algorithm. The performance and effectiveness of the proposed distributed algorithm are verified via numerical studies on the IEEE 14-bus system. | Kun WANG Zao FU Qian XU Duxin CHEN Lei WANG Wenwu YU | 2021 | Science China(Information Sciences)2021,64,1: | 2
Dynamical economic dispatch using distributed barrier function-based optimization algorithm显示文摘In this paper, we study the distributed economic dispatch problem where the supply demand balance, capacity constraints and ramp-rate constraints are considered. In order to accommodate varying power load and power storage in reality, we introduce two variables where each variable is time-varing and has its own dynamics. The renewable power is also considered. Barrier functions are introduced to deal with the local constraints by means of imposing penalty terms into the objective function to ensure that the optimal solution satisfies the corresponding constraints. Based on the Langrange dual theory, the primal optimization problem is transformed into the dual problem, which is solved by the primary-dual algorithm proposed in this paper. Under the assumption that the communication graph is an undirected and connected graph, we analyze the convergence of the proposed algorithm. The simulations on IEEE six-bus test systems are carried out to verify the performance of the algorithm, which shows that the proposed algorithm converges to the optimal solution, while all the constraints are met. | YAO YiYang TIAN FangZheng MEI Feng FU JunJie DAI Bo YU WenWu | 2019 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2019,62,12: | 2
A facile method to synthesize 3D structured Sn anode material with excellent electrochemical performance for lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Sn anode materials with high specific capacity are an appealing alternative to graphite for next-generation advanced lithium-ion batteries. However, poor electrochemical performance originating from fracture and pulverization due to the enormous volume changes during lithium alloying/dealloying hinders their commercial applications. Here,we propose the synthesis of a novel 3D structured Sn anode material by a facile method:heat treatment of nanosized SnO2 spheres in a tube furnace with a flowing mixed atmosphere of C2H2/Ar at 400℃.After the heat treatment, the nanosized SnO2 spheres convert into pure Sn bulk material(~20 pm),which consists of Sn nanowires(〜50 nm in diameter and several microns in length). This unique 3D structure with sufficient voids between the nanowires effectively mitigates the volume expansion of Sn bulk material and ensures good electrical contact between the anode material and conducting additives. As a consequence, the 3D structured Sn anode material exhibits a specific reversible capacity of—600 mA h/g and no significant capacity degradation(compared with that of the 20th cycle)over 500 cycles at 0.2 C. | Zhou Jin Liubin Ben Hailong Yu Wenwu Zhao Xuejie Huang | 2020 | Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2020,30,4: | 2
盐酸羟考酮控释片治疗晚期癌症疼痛的临床应用(英文)显示文摘Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and adverse reactions of OxyContin hydrochloride controlled release tablets in the treatment of moderate or severe pain in patients with terminal cancer and to observe any improvement on the cancer patients' quality of life. Methods: Sixty-eight patients with moderate or severe cancer pain were treated with OxyContin hydrochloride controlled release tablets. The initial dose was 5 mg/12h, or 1/2 that of the standard morphine regimen. During the course of treatment, the dosage was adjusted according to the patients' condition until the pain completely disappeared or nearly did so. Each patient received a treatment for at least 15 days. At the same time, adverse reactions, the quality of life and scores for the intensity of pain were observed and recorded [1]. Results: The final titrated dosage of OxyContin was as follows: the patients in 30 cases (44.1%) received a dosage of ≤ 30 mg/d, those in 16 cases (23.5%) received a dosage of 31 to 60 mg/d, those in 18 cases (26.5%) received a dosage of 61 to 120 mg/d and those in 4 cases (5.9%) received a dosage of ≥ 120 mg/d. The overall rate of relief from pain was 95.6%, among which the rates of excellent, effective and moderate relief were respectively 39.7%, 48.5% and 7.4%. OxyContin had mild adverse reactions and patients' quality of life was markedly improved. Conclusion: OxyContin is effective in treatment of moderate and severe cancer pain. The adverse reactions of OxyContin are mild, and the drug can significantly improve the quality of life of patients with cancer pain. | Wenwu Wang Xuenong OuYang Zongyang Yu Zhangshu Chen | 2012 | The Chinese-German Journal of Clinical Oncology2012,11,7: | 2
