SwinFusion: Cross-domain Long-range Learning for General Image Fusion via Swin Transformer显示文摘This study proposes a novel general image fusion framework based on cross-domain long-range learning and Swin Transformer, termed as SwinFusion. On the one hand,an attention-guided cross-domain module is devised to achieve sufficient integration of complementary information and global interaction.More specifically, the proposed method involves an intra-domain fusion unit based on self-attention and an interdomain fusion unit based on cross-attention,which mine and integrate long dependencies within the same domain and across domains.Through long-range dependency modeling, the network is able to fully implement domain-specific information extraction and cross-domain complementary information integration as well as maintaining the appropriate apparent intensity from a global perspective. In particular,we introduce the shifted windows mechanism into the self-attention and cross-attention,which allows our model to receive images with arbitrary sizes. On the other hand, the multi-scene image fusion problems are generalized to a unified framework with structure maintenance, detail preservation, and proper intensity control. Moreover,an elaborate loss function, consisting of SSIM loss, texture loss, and intensity loss, drives the network to preserve abundant texture details and structural information,as well as presenting optimal apparent intensity.Extensive experiments on both multi-modal image fusion and digital photography image fusion demonstrate the superiority of our SwinFusion compared to the state-of-theart unified image fusion algorithms and task-specific alternatives.Implementation code and pre-trained weights can be accessed at http://gffzz188fe103f8f1460asw9bx5fbnkxck6f5q.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/Linfeng-Tang/SwinFusion.Jiayi Ma Linfeng Tang Fan Fan Jun Huang Xiaoguang Mei Yong Ma 2022IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2022,9,7:8
Gut microbiota drives macrophage-dependent self-renewal of intestinal stem cells via niche enteric serotonergic neurons显示文摘Lgr5+intestinal stem cells(ISCs)reside within specialized niches at the crypt base and harbor self-renewal and differentiation capacities.ISCs in the crypt base are sustained by their surrounding niche for precise modulation of self-renewal and differentiation. However, how intestinal cells in the crypt niche and microbiota in enteric cavity coordinately regulate ISC stemness remains unclear. Here,we show that ISCs are regulated by microbiota and niche enteric serotonergic neurons. The gut microbiota metabolite valeric acid promotes Tph2 expression in enteric serotonergic neurons via blocking the recruitment of the NuRD complex onto Tph2 promoter.5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT)in turn activates PGE2 production in a PGE2+macrophage subset through its receptors HTR2A/3 A;and PGE2 via binding its receptors EP1/EP4,promotes Wnt/β-catenin signaling in ISCs to promote their self-renewal.Our findings illustrate a complex crosstalk among microbiota, intestinal nerve cells, intestinal immune cells and ISCs,revealing a new layer of ISC regulation by niche cells and microbiota.Pingping Zhu Tiankun Lu Jiayi Wu Dongdong Fan Benyu Liu Xiaoxiao Zhu Hui Guo Ying Du Feng Liu Yong Tian Zusen Fan 2022Cell Research2022,32,6:8
A new distinct geminivirus causes soybean stay-green disease显示文摘Dear Editor,Plant viruses make up almost half of the plant disease-causing pathogens, affecting crop yields and the global economy(Savary et al.,2019).Soybean(Glycine max)is one of the most valuable legume crops in the world, supplying 25%of the global edible oil and two-thirds of the global concentrated protein for livestock feeding.Recently, the outbreak of soybean stay-green syndrome with delayed leaf senescence(stay-green),flat pods, and increased number of abnormal seeds has swept the soybean production in the Huang-Huai-Hai region of China, resulting in huge yield losses(Xu et al.,2019).This disease has become an epidemic and prominent problem in soybean production and is still expanding its geography, including North America, posing a serious threat to soybean production(Harbach et al.,2016;Zhang et al.,2016;Li et al.,2019).However,the cause of soybean stay-green syndrome remains obscure.Ruixiang Cheng Ruoxin Mei Rong Yan Hongyu Chen Dan Miao Lina Cai Jiayi Fan Gairu Li Ran Xu Weiguo Lu Yu Gao Wenwu Ye Shuo Su Tianfu Han Junyi Gai Yuanchao Wang Xiaorong Tao Yi Xu 2022Molecular Plant2022,15,6:6
Meteorin-β/Meteorin like/IL-41 attenuates airway inflammation in house dust mite-induced allergic asthma显示文摘We sought to examine the regulatory effect of Meteorin-β(Metrnβ)/Meteorin like(Metrnl)/IL-41 on lung inflammation in allergic asthma. We found that Metrnβwas elevated significantly in asthmatic patients and in mice with allergic asthma induced by house dust mite(HDM)extract.Upon exposure to HDM,Metrnβwas secreted predominantly by airway epithelial cells and inflammatory cells, including macrophages and eosinophils. The increased Metrnβeffectively blocked the development of airway hyperreactivity(AHR)and decreased inflammatory cell airway infiltration and type 2 cytokine production, which was associated with downregulated DC-mediated adaptive immune responses. Moreover,Metrnβimpaired the maturation and function of bone marrow-derived dendritic cells in vitro.Asthmatic mice adoptively transferred with dendritic cells isolated from Metrnβ-treated allergic mice displayed decreased AHR,airway inflammation, and lung injury.Metrnβalso displayed anti-inflammatory properties in immunodeficient SCID mice with allergic asthma and in in vitro 3D ALI airway models. Moreover, blockade of Metrnβby anti-Metrnβantibody treatment promoted the development of allergic asthma. These results revealed the unappreciated protective roles of Metrnβin alleviating DC-mediated Th2 inflammation in allergic asthma, providing the novel treatment strategy of therapeutic targeting of Metrnβin allergic asthma.Xun Gao Ting-Fan Leung Gary Wing-Kin Wong Wing-Hung Ko Mengyun Cai Ellie Jiayi He Ida Miu-Ting Chu Miranda Sin-Man Tsang Ben Chung-Lap Chan Jiawei Ling Xiao Fan Liwei Lu Christopher Wai-Kei Lam Chun-Kwok Wong 2022Cellular & Molecular Immunology2022,19,2:5
Leakage current characteristics and ageing assessment technology of roof arrester under ultra harmonics overvoltage显示文摘The large leakage current of the roof arrester caused by the high‐frequency resonant overvoltage on the high‐speed train occurs intermittently, which will cause the arrester to overheat locally. In this work, the overheating issue of the arrester under Ultra Harmonics Overvoltage is studied. Then, the relationship between the active power and the voltage(including amplitude and frequency)of the arrester is investigated, and the impact mechanism of the harmonic voltage on the overheating fault of the arrester is analysed based on experiments in this work.It is found that the total leakage current of the arrester is proportional to the amplitude and frequency of the applied voltage. The internal resistance of the arrester is independent of the amplitude of the voltage, but it will decrease with the increase of the frequency. The main reason that leads to thermal breakdown of the arrester valve under high‐frequency harmonic voltage is the heating power elevation of the arrester valve. The research study can provide theoretical basis and data support for the design, type selection and monitoring of the high‐speed train roof arrester.Jixing Sun Fan Ding Yunlong Lv Jiayi Ren Sibo Song Tiance Li Qingyun Zhi Changwang Guo 2022High Voltage2022,7,2:1
In vitro fluidic systems: Applying shear stress on endothelial cells显示文摘Endothelial cells(ECs)that reside on the surface of blood vessels are constantly exposed to mechanical stimulation, including shear stress.Fluid shear stress(FSS)controls multiple physiological processes in ECs,regulating various pathways that maintain vascular tone and homeostasis function. The complexity of in vivo biological systems raises a demand for better in vitro techniques, which can generate FSS to closely mimic the cellular microenvironment.Through the rational design and use of flow chamber devices,in vitro fluidic systems are critical for a deeper understanding of endothelial responses to various shear conditions. The paper describes principal types of FSS systems, including functional attributes, development process and recent experiments on ECs.Finally,we prospect their possible contribution in the field of endothelial diseases.Fanzhe Meng Hong Cheng Jiayi Qian Xinyuan Dai Yan Huang Yubo Fan 2022Medicine in Novel Technology and Devices2022,,3:1
Establishment of a Real-time Fluorescent Quantita- tive RT-PCR Method for Pineapple mealybug wilt as. sociated virus-2显示文摘Pineapple mealybug wilt associated virus-2 (PMWaV-2) is an important pathogen causing Mealybug wilt of pineapple (MWP). We established a realtime quantitative RT-PCR( RT-qPCR) method with Taq Man probe based on specific primers of conserved nucleotide sequence of PMWaV-2 coat protein gene. The results showed that the method was highly sensitive to positive sample, but had no fluorescence signal to health sample and blank control. The sensitivity of RT-qPCR was about 100 times higher than general PCR. Reproducibility test revealed that the coefficients of variation between intra-and inter-assay were both within 1.85%,indicating it was a quantitative detection method for PMWaV-2 with simple operation, strong specificity, high sensitivity, and reliable reproducibility.Fan Hongyan Hu Jiayi Luo Zhiwen Guo Lijun He Shu Hu Fuchu Li Xianghong He Fan Zhang Zhiyi 2016Plant Diseases and Pests2016,7,1:1

Organic photovoltaic device enhances the neural differentiation of rat bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells显示文摘Electrical stimulation is known to be involved in stem cell differentiation, particularly neural differentiation.Various electrical stimulation systems and devices have been developed for neural tissue engineering. The organic photovoltaic materials PM6 and Y6 have showed high-power conversion efficiency. In this study,we used PM6 and Y6 to develop an organic photovoltaic device(OPD)to supply electrical stimulation. The photoelectric stimulation by the OPD showed no impact on cell viability. We tested the neural differentiation potential of rat bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells(rBMSCs)under light induced electrical stimulation. The changes in cell morphology suggested that photoelectric stimulation significantly increased the neurite length and the number of extremities of differentiated neural cells. In addition, genes of neuron markers and neurotrophic factors were upregulated when rBMSCs were under photoelectric stimulation.Furthermore, the calcium influx of differentiated cells responding to acetylcholine and the phosphorylation of extracellular-signal-regulated kinase(ERK)1 and 2,protein kinase B(AKT)and mammalian target of rapamycin(mTOR)were significantly elevated after photoelectric stimulation. These findings demonstrated that PM6:Y6 based OPD could provide photoelectric stimulation to enhance rBMSCs neural differentiation, which might be an alternative approach to electrically manipulate stem cells differentiation into neural cells in vitro.Hong Cheng Yan Huang Jiayi Qian Fanzhe Meng Yubo Fan 2022Medicine in Novel Technology and Devices2022,,4:0
Advanced application of collagen-based biomaterials in tissue repair and restoration显示文摘In tissue engineering, bioactive materials play an important role, providing structural support, cell regulation and establishing a suitable microenvironment to promote tissue regeneration. As the main component of extracellular matrix, collagen is an important natural bioactive material and it has been widely used in scientific research and clinical applications.Collagen is available from a wide range of animal origin,it can be produced by synthesis or through recombinant protein production systems. The use of pure collagen has inherent disadvantages in terms of physico-chemical properties. For this reason,a processed collagen in different ways can better match the specific requirements as biomaterial for tissue repair. Here, collagen may be used in bone/cartilage regeneration, skin regeneration, cardiovascular repair and other fields,by following different processing methods, including cross-linked collagen, complex, structured collagen, mineralized collagen, carrier and other forms, promoting the development of tissue engineering. This review summarizes a wide range of applications of collagen-based biomaterials and their recent progress in several tissue regeneration fields.Furthermore, the application prospect of bioactive materials based on collagen was outlooked, aiming at inspiring more new progress and advancements in tissue engineering research.Jiayi Zhu Zhulian Li Yaping Zou Gonggong Lu Alfredo Ronca Ugo D’Amora Jie Liang Yujiang Fan Xingdong Zhang Yong Sun 2022Journal of Leather Science and Engineering2022,4,1:0
Development of cost-effective nanocrystalline multi-component(Ce,La,Y)-Fe-B permanent magnetic alloys containing no critical rare earth elements of Dy,Tb,Pr and Nd显示文摘Here we first report the fully abundant rare earth(RE)-based nanocrystalline multi-component(Ce,La,Y)-Fe-B alloys containing no critical RE elements of Nd,Pr,Dy,and Tb by melt-spinning technique. The roles of La and Y substitutions for Ce have been fully understood.La plays a positive role on both thermal stability and room-temperature(RT)magnetic properties. The enhanced coercivity H_(cj)by partial substitution of La is attributed to the increases of anisotropy field H_A and the formation of continuously distributed grain boundaries resulting from the suppre s sion of CeFe_(2)phase.Although Y substitution is not benefit for H_(cj),both remanent polarization J_r and thermal stability have been effectively improved since Y_(2)Fe_(14)B shows relatively high saturation magnetization M_s and a positive temperature coefficient of HA over a certain temperature range. In addition,RE element segregation has been confirmed,La prefers to enter into the grain boundaries than Ce and Y prefers to remain in the 2:14:1 phase.Based on these understanding,a series of melt-spun(Ce,La,Y)-Fe-B alloys have been designed.A relatively good combination of magnetic properties with maximum energy product(BH)_(max)=7.4 MGOe,H_(Cj)=400 kA/m,and J_r=0.63 T has been obtained in[(Ce_(0.8)La_(0.2))_(0.7)Y_(0.3)]_(17)Fe_(78)B_6 alloy, together with high Curie temperature(T_c=488 K)and low temperature coefficients of remanence(α=-0.255%/K)and coercivity(β=-0.246%/K).Xuefeng Liao Jiasheng Zhang Jiayi He Wenbing Fan Hongya Yu Xichun Zhong Zhongwu Liu 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,17:0
How to use live sampling tissues and archived specimens in cetacean stable isotope research显示文摘Cetaceans are unique ecological engineers, and their restoration may have a crucial impact on the future structure of aquatic ecosystems, which calls for more investigations into their trophic ecology.Among current techniques, stable isotope analysis(SIA)has the advantages of non-invasive sampling and long timescales. However, the full benefits of SIA in cetacean research may not be achieved due to issues like different types of tissue between sampling methods and use of chemical preservation solutions in historical specimens. To address these challenges,we conducted a study on Narrow-ridged Finless Porpoises(Neophocaena asiaeorientalis).Multiple tissues from freshwater and marine subspecies,as well as tissues preserved using different solutions such as ethanol and formalin were collected for SIA.Linear mixed effects models were used for data analysis. Our results showed that, except for blubber, kidney, and stomach, differences between other tissues were correctable. In tissues from live sampling,we found no significant difference between blood and muscle, and skin could also be used for isotope analysis after proper correction.Ethanol preservation caused significant positive changes in δ^(13)C and δ^(15)N values of muscle, while formalin preservation caused negative changes in δ^(13)C and δ^(15)N.Our findings provide valuable insight into unifying data from stranded carcasses and live sampling,as well as correcting for the effect of chemical preservation on museum specimens.Findings from this research support further application of stable isotope analysis in the conservation of endangered finless porpoises, offer a reference for other similar cetaceans, and also provide guidance for chemical preservation when freezing conditions are not available.Tao Jin Ruilong Wang Renyong Wang Jiayi Xie Jinsong Zheng Fei Fan Kexiong Wang Ding Wang Jun Xu Zhigang Mei 2023Water Biology and Security2023,2,4:0
Enrichment of nervonic acid in Acer truncatum Bunge oil by combination of two-stage molecular distillation,one-stage urea complexation and five-stage solvent crystallization显示文摘Nervonic acid is the world’s first and only potent substance that can repair damaged nerve fibers and promote nerve cell regeneration with high nutritional value. The wide variety of fatty acids in plant oils and fats with similar structures makes the large-scale separation and purification of high-purity nervonic acid very difficult.A new combined process of molecular distillation, urea inclusion and solvent crystallization was established to prepare high-purity nervonic acid with the mixed fatty acids obtained after saponification and acidification of Acer truncatum Bunge oil as raw materials.First, according to the difference in the mean free path of fatty acids, molecular distillation was used to separate and remove C16 saturated fatty acid of palmitic acid and four C18-C20 fatty acids of stearic, oleic, linoleic, and linolenic acids. The content of C16-C20 fatty acids decreased from 72.92% to 19.22% after two-stage molecular distillation processes,in which the contents of saturated fatty acid of palmitic acid decreased to about 0.5%.Then,according to the difference in carbon chain length and saturation of fatty acid, the contents of C22-C24 saturated fatty acids of tetracosanoic and docosanoic acids decreased to 0.21% and 0.07% by urea inclusion with urea/free fatty acid preparation by saponification(SPOMFs)ratio as 0.6.In addition, all saturated fatty acids were basically separated. Finally, according to the difference in the solubility of fatty acids in solvents, the C18-C20 unsaturated fatty acids of oleic, linoleic, and linolenic acids and C22 unsaturated fatty acid of erucic acid were removed by solvent crystallization. The content of C18-C20 unsaturated fatty acids decreased to less than 5% with pentanol as the solvent after the first stage solvent crystallization. The content of erucic acid decreased to 3.47% with anhydrous ethanol as the solvent after the second to fifth stage solvent crystallization. The combined process of molecular distillation, urea inclusion and low temperature crystallization innovatively adopted an efficient, simple and easy-toindustrial solvent crystallization method to separate erucic and nervonic acids, obtaining nervonic acid with purity of 96.53% and final yield of 47.99%.Yingxi Gao Jiayi Shi Jie Wang Fan Zhang Shichao Tian Zhiyong Zhou Zhongqi Ren 2023Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2023,59,7:0
Regular diet is non-inferior to restricted diet after polypectomy with decreased hospitalization length of stay and cost:a randomized–controlled trial显示文摘Background There are no data comparing a regular diet with a restricted diet after endoscopic polypectomy in patients with colorectal polyps. The current guidelines also did not provide the detailed information of dietary patterns after polypectomy. In this study,we aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of different diets on post-polypectomy outcomes. Methods A total of 302 patients with colorectal polyps who underwent polypectomy were prospectively enrolled between March 2019 and December 2019 in Nanfang Hospital(Guangzhou,China).Enrolled patients were then randomly assigned to a regular diet group or a restricted diet group after polypectomy. The study is a non-inferior design and the primary end point was the post-operative adverse events(AE)rate.Secondary end points included length of stay(LOS)and hospitalization cost. Results Among all the included patients,148 patients received a restricted diet and 154 patients received a regular diet after polypectomy.A total of 376 polyps were removed, with 183 polyps in the restricted diet group and 193 polyps in the regular diet group.Shorter LOS(4.0±1.4 vs 4.8±1.7,P<0.001)and lower hospitalization costs(7,701.63±2,579.07 vs 8,656.05±3,138.53,P=0.001)were observed in the regular diet group. In particular, there was no significant difference in 3-day AE rates between the restricted diet and the regular diet group(1.35%[2/148]vs 2.60%[4/154],P=0.685).Subgroup analysis looking at the number of polyps removed in each patient and different treatmentmodalities also showed similar findings. Conclusion Regular diet should be recommended after polypectomy for polyps<20mm as it can shorten LOS and save hospitalization costs.Rong Huang Shaohui Huang Li Xu Rai Mandip Baomei Chen Jiayi Fan Yang Bai Yusi Wang Zelong Han Zhiqing Wang Side Liu Yue Li 2022Gastroenterology Report2022,10,1:0
Diel, seasonal, and annual variations of fish assemblages in intertidal creeks of the Changjiang River estuary显示文摘The use patterns of salt marsh habitats by fish assemblages were investigated in two welldeveloped intertidal creeks in the Changjiang(Yangtze)River estuary on spatial and temporal scales.Samples were collected using fyke nets at two sites during day and night in each season throughout four years.Notable changes in fish assemblages were detected over seasonal and interannual cycles, with many more marine species present in winter assemblages, whereas freshwater and estuarine species characterized the other seasonal samplings. The appearance of catadromous species in intertidal creeks mainly depended upon their specific physiological requirements, such as spawning migration. No significant diel shifts were observed in fish assemblages. This diel pattern may be a combined consequence of avian predation pressure and other drivers(i.e.,inherent living behaviors, food availability, and predation by piscivorous fishes). The spatial difference in fish community was insignificant even though the two intertidal creeks were different in size.Intertidal creeks with different size could possess similar ecological value for fish fauna.Redundancy analysis(RDA)showed that biological factors exerted greater effects on fish assemblages than physical variables.Temporal variations were strongly facilitated by food availability, but negatively impacted by avian predation.Salinity, water temperature, and river runoff had weak influence on temporal variations of fish communities. The lengthfrequency distribution showed that the fish collected in these two sites mainly consisted of young-of-year and juvenile fish, which confirmed that the creeks provided important nursery and forage roles in the process of fish ontogenetic development.Further,we proposed that salt marsh conservation management should be equally applied to all well-developed intertidal creeks regardless of creek size.Jiayi FAN Jiasheng YANG Yuanwen HE Xiaodong JIANG 2023Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2023,41,5:0

Spatial confinement of zeolitic imidazolate framework deposits by porous carbon nanospheres for dual-atom catalyst towards high-performance oxygen reduction reaction显示文摘Dual atom catalysts(DACs),are promising electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)on account of the potential dual-atom active sites for the optimized adsorption of catalytic intermediates and the lower reaction energy barriers.Herein, spatial confinement strategy to fabricate DACs with well-defined Fe,Co dual-atom active site is proposed by implanting zeolitic imidazolate frameworks inside the pores of highly porous carbon nanospheres(Fe/Co-SAs-Nx-PCNSs).The atomically dispersed dual-atom active sites facilitate the adsorption/desorption of intermediates.Furthermore, the spatial confinement effect protects metal atoms aggregating.Benefiting from the rich accessible dual-atom active sites and boosted mass transport,we achieve remarkable ORR performance with half-wave potential up to 0.91 and 0.8 V(vs.reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE)),and long-term stability up to 10 h in both alkaline and acidic electrolytes. The remarkably enhanced ORR catalytic property of our as-developed DACs is in the rank of excellence for 1%.The as-developed rechargeable Zn-air battery(ZAB)with Fe/Co-SAs-Nx-PCNSs air cathode delivers ultrahigh power density of 216 mW·cm^(−2),outstanding specific capacity of 813 mAh·g^(−1),and promising cycling operation durability over 160 h.The flexible Zn-air battery also exhibits excellent specific capacity, cycling stability, and flexibility performance. This work opens up a new pathway for the multiscale design of efficient electrocatalysts with atomically dispersed multiple active sites.Jiayi Zhao Ping Li Kaicai Fan Wenjie Wei Fenghong Lu Huimin Zhao Bin Li Lingbo Zong Lei Wang 2023Nano Research2023,16,8:0

Liposomal codelivery of inflammation inhibitor and collagen protector to the plaque for effective anti-atherosclerosis显示文摘Plaque plays a central role in atherosclerosis(AS)progression, whereas inflammation and destruction of the plaque microenvironment contribute to plaque advancement. As a result,a therapy regime, which combines anti-inflammation and inhibition-degradation of plaque matrix, appears to be a promising strategy to combat AS.Herein,we report a p H-sensitive liposome co-loading with the anti-inflammatory agent(oridonin,ORD)and plaque-collagen protector(marimastat)for anti-AS therapy.ORD was first conjugated with hyaluronic acid(HA)to target the inflammation contributor,pro-inflammatory macrophages. Then, the conjugate assembled onto the MATT-loaded liposomes. The co-loaded system(150 nm)significantly improved pharmacokinetics over the liposomes without anchoring the conjugate and accumulated effectively in the plaque. The preparation administration allowed efficient anti-AS activities in high-fat diet(HFD)-Apoe-/-mice by decreasing the pro-inflammatory cytokine expression in the serum, lessening the lesion area, alleviating the plaque collagen degradation, promoting macrophage polarization from phenotypic M1 to M2,reducing T helper(Th)17 cells(Th17)/T regulatory cells(Tregs)and Th1/Th2 ratio, etc.Furthermore, the serum determination in AS patients demonstrated high expression of the inflammatory cytokines, indicating our finding may offer a potential guideline for clinical practice.Xiaotong Li Jiayi Gu Qingqing Xiao Ying Liu Ping Zhou Lifang Fan Xiulian Zhang Xiang Lu Jun Wu Zhengxia Liu Wei He 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,1:0
