Effects of magnetic field on fluidization properties of magnetic pearls显示文摘An experimental study of the influence of external magnetic field on the fluidization behavior of magnetic pearls was carried out. Magnetic pearls are a magnetic form of iron oxide that mainly consists of Fe2O3 which are recovered from a high-volume power plant fly ash from pulverized coal combustion. Due to its abundance, low price and particular physical and chemical properties, magnetic pearls can be used as a heavy medium for minerals or solid waste dry separation based on density difference. This paper introduces the properties of magnetic pearls and compares the performance of magnetic pearls fluidised bed operation with or without an external magnetic field. Experimental results show that an external magnetic field significantly improves the fluidization performance of magnetic pearls such as uniformity and stability. | Maoming Fan Zhenfu Luo Yuemin Zhao Qingru Chen Daniel Tao Xiuxiang Tao Zhenqiang Chen | 2007 | China Particuology2007,5,1: | 4
A method to improve fluidization quality in gas-solid fluidized bed for fine coal beneficiation显示文摘Dry coal separation has become essential in China because it does not consume water and it reduces environmental pollution. In this study, a method for improving fluidization quality in a fluidized bed separator using a micropore sponge is proposed. The separator is used for fine coal beneficiation. The pressure drop across the distributor and bed fluidization characteristics were analyzed to evaluate fluidization quality. The beneficiation efficiency for fine coal was further investigated by using a laboratory-scale fluidized bed with and without a micropore sponge. With the sponge, the highest pressure drop fluctuation factor decreased from 0.23 to 0.16, indicating an improvement in density stability. The modified separation method reduced the ash content of a sample of fine coal from 23.83% to 10.70%. The probable error efficiency value E for -6 + 3 mm coal was 0.12g/cm^3, close to the efficiency error values reported for other dry-beneficiation techniques. The separation results show that using a sponge in the fluidized bed can readily improve the efficiency of fine coal beneficiation. | Chenyang Zhou Xuchen Fan Chenlong Duan Yuemin Zhao | 2019 | Particuology2019,17,2: | 4
Preparation of solid medium for use in separation with gas-solid fluidized beds显示文摘The highly-efficient dry separation technique using a gas-solid fluidized bed is very beneficial for increasing coal grade and optimizing the utilization of coal resources. The size distribution of the solid medium(e.g.,magnetite powder) used in this technique is one of key factors that influences fluidization and separation performance. It is,therefore, urgent to prepare medium in a way that operates at low cost and high efficiency.Grinding experiments were performed using a planetary ball mill equipped with a frequency converter. The effect of fed mass, rotation frequency of the mill, grinding time and the ball-size ratio on grinding performance was investigated. The grinding parameters were optimized by numerical calculations using Artificial Neural Network(ANN) in Matlab.A regression equation for predicting the yield of the desired product(i.e.,0.3~0.15 mm magnetite powder) is proposed. The maximum yield of 0.3~0.15 mm particles was 47.24%.This lays a foundation for the industrial-scale production of the solid medium required for separation with a magnetite-powder fluidized bed. | LUO Zhenfu ZUO Wei TANG Ligang ZHAO Yuemin FAN Maoming | 2010 | Mining Science and Technology2010,20,5: | 3

SEC1A and SEC6 synergistically regulate pollen tube polar growth显示文摘Pollen tube polar growth is a key physiological activity for angiosperms to complete double fertilization, which is highly dependent on the transport of polar substances mediated by secretory vesicles. The exocyst and Sec1/Munc18(SM) proteins are involved in the regulation of the tethering and fusion of vesicles and plasma membranes, but the molecular mechanism by which they regulate pollen tube polar growth is still unclear. In this study, we found that loss of function of SEC1A, a member of the SM protein family in Arabidopsis thaliana, resulted in reducing pollen tube growth and a significant increase in pollen tube width. SEC1A was diffusely distributed in the pollen tube cytoplasm, and was more concentrated at the tip of the pollen tube. Through coimmunoprecipitation-mass spectrometry screening, protein interaction analysis and in vivo microscopy,we found that SEC1A interacted with the exocyst subunit SEC6, and they mutually affected the distribution and secretion rate at the tip of the pollen tube. Meanwhile, the functional loss of SEC1A and SEC6 significantly affected the distribution of the SNARE(soluble N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor attachment protein receptor) complex member SYP125 at the tip of the pollen tube, and led to the disorder of pollen tube cell wall components. Genetic analysis revealed that the pollen tube-related phenotype of the sec1a sec6 double mutant was significantly enhanced compared with their respective single mutants. Therefore, we speculated that SEC1A and SEC6 cooperatively regulate the fusion of secretory vesicles and plasma membranes in pollen tubes, thereby affecting the length and the width of pollen tubes. | Tingting Fan Yuemin Fan Yang Yang Dong Qian Yue Niu Lizhe An Yun Xiang | 2023 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2023,65,7: | 1

Comprehensive characterization of CRC with germline mutations reveals a distinct somatic mutational landscape and elevated cancer risk in the Chinese population显示文摘Objective:Hereditary colorectal cancer(CRC)accounts for approximately 5%–10%of all CRC cases. The full profile of CRC-related germline mutations and the corresponding somatic mutational profile have not been fully determined in the Chinese population. Methods:We performed the first population study investigating the germline mutation status in more than 1,000(n=1,923)Chinese patients with CRC and examined their relationship with the somatic mutational landscape.Germline alterations were examined with a 58-gene next-generation sequencing panel, and somatic alterations were examined with a 605-gene panel. Results:A total of 92 pathogenic(P)mutations were identified in 85 patients, and 81 likely pathogenic(LP)germline mutations were identified in 62 patients, accounting for 7.6%(147/1,923)of all patients.MSH2 and APC was the most mutated gene in the Lynch syndrome and non-Lynch syndrome groups, respectively.Patients with P/LP mutations had a significantly higher ratio of microsatellite instability, highly deficient mismatch repair, family history of CRC,and lower age.The somatic mutational landscape revealed a significantly higher mutational frequency in the P group and a trend toward higher copy number variations in the non-P group. The Lynch syndrome group had a significantly higher mutational frequency and tumor mutational burden than the nonLynch syndrome group.Clustering analysis revealed that the Notch signaling pathway was uniquely clustered in the Lynch syndrome group, and the MAPK and cAMP signaling pathways were uniquely clustered in the non-Lynch syndrome group.Population risk analysis indicated that the overall odds ratio was 11.13(95%CI:8.289–15.44)for the P group and 20.68(95%CI:12.89–33.18)for the LP group. Conclusions:Distinct features were revealed in Chinese patients with CRC with germline mutations. The Notch signaling pathway was uniquely clustered in the Lynch syndrome group, and the MAPK and cAMP signaling pathways were uniquely clustered in the non-Lynch syndrome group.Patients with P/LP germline mutations exhibited higher CRC risk. | Jianfei Yao Yunhuan Zhen Jing Fan Yuan Gong Yumeng Ye Shaohua Guo Hongyi Liu Xiaoyun Li Guosheng Li Pan Yang Xiaohui Wang Danni Liu Tanxiao Huang Huiya Cao Peisu Suo Yuemin Li Jingbo Yu Lele Song | 2022 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2022,19,5: | 1

A K-nearest Neighbor Model to Predict Early Recurrence of Hepatocellular Carcinoma After Resection显示文摘Background and Aims:Patients with hepatocellular carci-noma(HCC)surgically resected are at risk of recurrence;however, the risk factors of recurrence remain poorly un-derstood.This study intended to establish a novel machine learning model based on clinical data for predicting early re-currence of HCC after resection. Methods:A total of 220 HCC patients who underwent resection were enrolled.Clas-sification machine learning models were developed to predict HCC recurrence. The standard deviation, recall, and preci-sion of the model were used to assess the model’s accura-cy and identify efficiency of the model. Results:Recurrent HCC developed in 89(40.45%)patients at a median time of 14 months from primary resection. In principal compo-nent analysis, tumor size, tumor grade differentiation,por-tal vein tumor thrombus,alpha-fetoprotein,protein induced by vitamin K absence or antagonist-II(PIVKA-II),aspartate aminotransferase, platelet count, white blood cell count, and HBsAg were positive prognostic factors of HCC recurrence and were included in the preoperative model. After compar-ing different machine learning methods, including logistic re-gression,decision tree,naïve Bayes, deep neural networks, and k-nearest neighbor(K-NN),we choose the K-NN model as the optimal prediction model. The accuracy,recall,preci-sion of the K-NN model were 70.6%,51.9%,70.1%,respec-tively.The standard deviation was 0.020.Conclusions:The K-NN classification algorithm model performed better than the other classification models.Estimation of the recurrence rate of early HCC can help to allocate treatment, eventually achieving safe oncological outcomes. | Chuanli Liu Hongli Yang Yuemin Feng Cuihong Liu Fajuan Rui Yuankui Cao Xinyu Hu Jiawen Xu Junqing Fan Qiang Zhu Jie Li | 2022 | Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2022,10,4: | 0
