| 1 | Redox-neutral photocatalytic strategy for selective C–C bond cleavage of lignin and lignin models via PCET process显示文摘It remains challenging to achieve the selective cleavage of C–C bonds in lignin or lignin model compounds to produce aromatic products in high yield and selectivity.We have developed a redox-neutral photocatalytic strategy to accomplish this goal in both b-O-4 and b-1 lignin models at room temperature(RT)via proton-coupled electron transfer(PCET)process without any pretreatments of substrate,by adjusting the alkalinity of base to obtain a lignin models/base PCET pair with a bond dissociation free energy close to 102 kcal/mol.Without breaking down C_b–Ccbond and any C–O bonds,this PCET method is 100%atom economy and produces exclusive Ca–C_bbond cleavage products,such as benzaldehydes(up to 97%)and phenyl ethers(up to 96%),in high to excellent yields and selectivities.Preliminary studies indicated that the PCET strategy is also effective for the depolymerization of native lignin at RT,thus providing significantly important foundation to the depolymerization of lignin. | Yinling Wang Yue Liu Jianghua He Yuetao Zhang | 2019 | Science Bulletin2019,64,22: | 8 |

| 4 | Economic feasibility of large-scale hydro–solar hybrid power including long distance transmission显示文摘Solar PV is expected to become the most cost-competitive renewable energy owing to the rapidly decreasing cost of the system. On the other hand, hydropower is a high-quality and reliable regulating power source that can be bundled with solar PV to improve the economic feasibility of long-distance transmitted power. In this paper, a quantification model is established taking into account the regulating capacity of the reservoir, the characteristics of solar generation, and cost of hydro and solar PV with long-distance transmission based on the installed capacity ratio of hydro–solar hybrid power. Results indicate that for hydropower stations with high regulating capacity and generation factor of approximately 0.5, a hydro–solar installed capacity ratio of 1:1 will yield overall optimal economic performance, whereas for hydropower stations with daily regulating capacity reservoir and capacity factor of approximately 0.65, the optimal hydro–solar installed capacity ratio is approximately 1:0.3. | 5 | Lewis pairs polymerization of polar vinyl monomers显示文摘The globally increasing demands for polymer materials stimulate the significantly intense attention focused on the Lewis pair polymerization(LPP) of various polar vinyl monomers catalyzed by Lewis pairs(LPs) composed of Lewis acid(LA) and Lewis base(LB). According to the degree of interaction between LA and LB, LPs could be divided into classical Lewis adduct(CLA), interacting Lewis pair(ILP) and frustrated Lewis pair(FLP). Regulation of the Lewis basicity, Lewis acidity, and steric effects of these LPs has a significant impact on the polymer chain initiation, propagation and termination as well as chain transfer reaction during polymerization. Compared with other polymerization strategies, LPP has shown several unique advantages towards the polymerization of polar vinyl monomers such as high activity, control or livingness, mild conditions, and complete chemo-or regioselectivity. | 6 | Engineering acid dew temperature: the limitation for flue gas heat recovery显示文摘In order to study how deep we can reduce the temperature of exhaust flue gas, an experiment focusing on the combined influence of ash deposition and acid condensation on the heat transfer characteristics of the heat exchanger was carried out in a 300-MW boiler unit. An annular tube was inserted into the flue gas duct between the air preheater and the electrostatic precipitator. The water with given temperature firstly entered the inner tube and then flowed into the outer tube at the end of the inner tube. It is found that heat transfer performance drops sharply at fixed temperature range under given coal quality. The turning temperature is defined as the engineering acid dew temperature(EADT). When the inlet water temperature is under the EADT, ash sticks to the tube and is difficult to blow off, and thus the flow resistance rises. Furthermore, the corrosion can be observed obviously. From the point of economy and reliability, EADT is the limitation for flue gas heat recovery. | 11 | Rapid quantitative analysis of 12 chemical constituents in wild-simulated and cultivated Astragali Radix based on UHPLC-MS显示文摘Objective:Astragali Radix(AR)is one of the most widely used traditional Chinese medicines(TCMs)for tonic,which can be divided into wild-simulated and cultivated AR according to its cultivation method.However,whether cultivated AR can replace wild-simulated AR has always been a concern.Methods:In this study,a rapid,highly sensitive and specific analytical method using ultra-high performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry(UHPLC-MS)was developed to quantitatively measure 12 chemical constituents of AR in the different cultivation methods.Results:AR samples were analyzed with a good linear regression relationship(R2,0.9983–0.9995),precisions(relative standard deviation(RSD),1.31%-2.36%),repeatability(RSD,2.65%-4.92%),stability(RSD,1.50%-4.05%),and recovery(95.13%-106.52%).Through the determination of AR samples,we found the components of favonoids in wild-simulated AR were higher than cultivated AR,the saponins in cultivated AR were higher,the ratio of saponins/favonoids in cultivated AR was higher than wildsimulated AR.Conclusion:Based on this research,it could provide guidance for the quality control of AR. | Dan Li Yuetao Liu Xuemei Qin | 2022 | Chinese Herbal Medicines2022,14,3: | 1 |

| 13 | C-X3-C motif chemokine ligand 1/receptor 1 regulates the M1 polarization and chemotaxis of macrophages after hypoxia/reoxygenation injury显示文摘Background:Macrophages play an important role in renal ischemia reperfusion injury,but the functional changes of macrophages under hypoxia/reoxygenation and the related mechanism are unclear and need to be further clarified.Methods:The effects of hypoxia/reoxygenation on functional characteristics of RAW264.7 macrophages were analyzed through the protein expression detection of pro-inflammatory factors TNF-αand CD80,anti-inflammatory factors ARG-1 and CD206.The functional implications of C-X3-C motif chemokine receptor 1(CX3CR1)down-regulation in hypoxic macrophages were explored using small interfering RNA technology.Significance was assessed by the parametrict-test or nonparametric Mann-Whitney test for two group comparisons,and a one-way ANOVA or the Kruskal-Wallis test for multiple group comparisons.Results:Hypoxia/reoxygenation significantly increased the protein expression of M1-related pro-inflammatory factors TNF-α,CD80 and chemokine C-X3-C motif chemokine ligand 1(CX3CL1)/CX3CR1 and inhibited the protein expression of M2-related anti-inflammatory factors ARG-1 and CD206 in a time-dependent manner in RAW264.7 cells.However,the silencing of CX3CR1 in RAW264.7 cells using specific CX3CR1-siRNA,significantly attenuated the increase in protein expression of TNF-α(P<0.05)and CD80(P<0.01)and the inhibition of ARG-1(P<0.01)and CD206(P<0.01)induced by hypoxia/reoxygenation.In addition,we also found that hypoxia/reoxygenation could significantly enhance the migration(2.2-fold,P<0.01)and adhesion capacity(1.5-fold,P<0.01)of RAW264.7 macrophages compared with the control group,and CX3CR1-siRNA had an inhibitory role(40%and 20%reduction,respectively).For elucidating the mechanism,we showed that the phosphorylation levels of ERK(P<0.01)and the p65 subunit of NF-κB(P<0.01)of the RAW264.7 cells in the hypoxic/reoxygenation group were significantly increased,which could be attenuated by down-regulation of CX3CR1 expression(P<0.01,both).ERK inhibitors also significantly blocked the effects of hypoxic/reoxygenation on the protein expression of M1-related pro-inflammatory factors TNF-α,CD80 and M2-related anti-inflammatory factors ARG-1 and CD206.Moreover,we found that conditioned medium from polarized M1 macrophages induced by hypoxia/reoxygenation,notably increased the degree of apoptosis of hypoxia/reoxygenation-induced TCMK-1 cells,and promoted the protein expression of pro-apoptotic proteins bax(P<0.01)and cleaved-caspase 3(P<0.01)and inhibited the expression of anti-apoptotic protein bcl-2(P<0.01),but silencing CX3CR1 in macrophages had a protective role.Finally,we also found that the secretion of soluble CX3CL1 in RAW264.7 macrophages under hypoxia/reoxygenation was significantly increased.Conclusions:The findings suggest that hypoxia/reoxygenation could promote M1 polarization,cell migration,and adhesion of macrophages,and that polarized macrophages induce further apoptosis of hypoxic renal tubular epithelial cells by regulating of CX3CL1/CX3CR1 signaling pathway. | Shuiming Guo Lei Dong Junhua Li Yuetao Chen Ying Yao Rui Zeng Nelli Shushakova Hermann Haller Gang Xu Song Rong | 2021 | Chronic Diseases and Translational Medicine2021,7,4: | 1 |
